Utána fia, Jósáfát lett a király, és megerősítette magát Izráellel szemben.

Uralkodék pedig ő helyette az ő fia, Jósafát, és megerősíté magát Izráel ellen.

And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.

Sereget helyezett Júda minden erős városába, és őrséget helyezett Júda országába és Efraimnak azokba a városaiba, amelyeket apja, Ászá meghódított.

És sereget helyezett Júda minden erős városaiba, és őrségeket helyezett Júda országába és Efraim városaiba, a melyeket az ő atyja, Asa meghódított vala.

And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.

a pus oşti în toate cetăţile întărite ale lui Iuda şi a rânduit căpetenii în ţara lui Iuda şi în cetăţile lui Efraim pe care le luase tatăl său, Asa.

He placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim that Asa his father had captured.

Az ÚR Jósáfáttal volt, mert atyjának, Dávidnak korábbi útjain járt, és nem kért segítséget a bálványoktól,

És az Úr Jósafáttal vala, mivel az ő atyjának Dávidnak előbbi útain jára, és nem kére segítséget a bálványoktól,

And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

Domnul a fost cu Iosafat, pentru că a umblat în cele dintâi căi ale tatălui său David şi n-a căutat pe Baali;

The LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals,

hanem atyja Istenét kereste, és az ő parancsolatai szerint járt, és nem Izráel cselekedetei szerint.

Hanem az ő atyjának Istenét kereste, és az ő parancsolatiban járt vala, és nem Izráelnek cselekedetei szerint.

But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

căci a alergat la Dumnezeul tatălui său şi a urmat poruncile Lui, fără să facă ce făcea Israel.

but sought the God of his father and walked in his commandments, and not according to the practices of Israel.

Ezért az ÚR megerősítette kezében a királyságot. Egész Júda ajándékot adott Jósáfátnak, és gazdagsága és dicsősége igen nagy volt.

Azért az Úr megerősíté a királyságot az ő kezében, és az egész Júda ada Jósafátnak ajándékot, s gazdagsága és dicsősége igen nagy volt.

Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

Domnul a întărit domnia în mâinile lui Iosafat, căruia tot Iuda îi aducea daruri. Şi a avut o mulţime de bogăţii şi slavă.

Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand. And all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor.

És szíve fölemelkedett az ÚR útjain járva, és újból eltávolította Júdából a magaslatokat és az Asérá-oszlopokat.

És az ő szíve felemelkedett az Úr útjain, és még jobban kiirtá Júdából a magaslatokat és az Aserákat.

And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.

His heart was courageous in the ways of the LORD. And furthermore, he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah.

Királyságának harmadik esztendejében elküldte vezérei közül Ben-Hailt, Óbadját, Zekarját, Netanélt és Míkájehút, hogy tanítsanak Júda városaiban.

Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.

În al treilea an al domniei lui, a însărcinat pe căpeteniile sale: Ben-Hail, Obadia, Zaharia, Netaneel şi Mica, să se ducă să înveţe pe oameni în cetăţile lui Iuda.

In the third year of his reign he sent his officials, Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;

Léviták is voltak velük: Semajáhú, Netanjáhú, Zebadjáhú, Aszáél, Semirámót, Jehónátán, Adónijjáhú, Tóbijjáhú és Tób-Adónijjá léviták és velük együtt Elisámá és Jehórám papok.

És velök Lévitákat: Semája, Nétánia, Zebádia, Asáel, Semirámót, Jónatán, Adónia, Tóbiás és Tóbadónia Lévitákat, és velök Elisáma és Jórám papokat.

And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.

and with them the Levites, Shemaiah, Nethaniah, Zebadiah, Asahel, Shemiramoth, Jehonathan, Adonijah, Tobijah, and Tobadonijah; and with these Levites, the priests Elishama and Jehoram.

Tanítottak tehát Júdában, és velük volt az ÚR törvénykönyve, amikor Júda városaiban jártak, és a népet tanították.

Tanítának azért Júdában, és az Úr törvényének könyve velök vala, mikor jártak vala Júda városaiban, tanítván a népet.

And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

Ei au învăţat pe oameni în Iuda, având cu ei cartea Legii Domnului. Au străbătut toate cetăţile lui Iuda şi au învăţat pe oameni în mijlocul poporului.

And they taught in Judah, having the Book of the Law of the LORD with them. They went about through all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.

Ezért az ÚR rettegést támasztott azokban a királyságokban, amelyek Júda körül voltak, annyira, hogy nem mertek Jósáfát ellen harcolni.

Ezért az Úr igen megrettenté a földnek minden országait, a melyek Júda körül valának, annyira, hogy nem merének Jósafát ellen hadakozni.

And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats.

And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.

And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.

Ez pedig a beosztásuk családjaik szerint Júdában: az ezredeseknél Adná a fővezér, és vele háromszázezer vitéz harcos.

Ez pedig azoknak száma nemzetségeik szerint: Júdában az ezredesek: Adna, a fővezér, és vele háromszázezer harczos.

And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valour three hundred thousand.

This was the muster of them by fathers’ houses: Of Judah, the commanders of thousands: Adnah the commander, with 300,000 mighty men of valor;

And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour.

And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand.

Mellette Jehózábád, és vele száznyolcvanezer harcra fölszerelt ember.

And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for the war.

and next to him Jehozabad with 180,000 armed for war.

These were in the service of the king, besides those whom the king had placed in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.
