Huszonöt esztendős volt Jótám, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és tizenhat esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyja neve Jerúsá volt, Cádók leánya.

Huszonöt esztendős vala Jótám, mikor uralkodni kezde, és tizenhat esztendeig uralkodék Jeruzsálemben; az ő anyjának neve Jérusa vala, a Sádók leánya.

Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.

Iotam avea douăzeci şi cinci de ani când a ajuns împărat şi a domnit şaisprezece ani la Ierusalim. Mama sa se chema Ieruşa, fata lui Ţadoc.

Jotham was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.

Kedves dolgot cselekedett az ÚR előtt. Úgy cselekedett, ahogy apja, Uzzijjá is, csakhogy ő nem ment be az ÚR templomába. A nép azonban továbbra is vétkezett.

És kedves dolgot cselekedék az Úr előtt, mint az ő atyja, Uzziás is cselekedett vala, csakhogy nem méne az Úr templomába; a nép azonban tovább is vétkezék.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.

El a făcut ce este bine înaintea Domnului, întocmai cum făcuse tatăl său, Ozia. Numai că n-a intrat în Templul Domnului. Totuşi poporul se strica mereu.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD according to all that his father Uzziah had done, except he did not enter the temple of the LORD. But the people still followed corrupt practices.

He built the high gate of the house of the LORD, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.

Iotam a zidit poarta de sus a Casei Domnului şi a făcut multe clădiri pe zidurile de pe deal.

He built the upper gate of the house of the LORD and did much building on the wall of Ophel.

Ezenfölül Júda hegyvidékén városokat épített, a ligetekben pedig palotákat és őrtornyokat.

Annakfelette a Júda hegyes földén városokat építe, és a ligetekben palotákat és tornyokat építe.

Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.

A zidit cetăţi în muntele lui Iuda şi cetăţui şi turnuri în dumbrăvi.

Moreover, he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and forts and towers on the wooded hills.

Ő is harcolt Ammón fiainak királyai ellen, akiket megvert. Ammón fiai abban az esztendőben száz talentum ezüstöt, tízezer véka búzát és tízezer véka árpát adtak neki. Ezt fizették neki Ammón fiai a második és a harmadik esztendőben is.

Ő is hadakozott az Ammon fiainak királyai ellen, a kiket megvere; és adának néki az Ammon fiai azon esztendőben száz tálentom ezüstöt s tízezer véka búzát és tízezer véka árpát. Ezt fizették néki az Ammon fiai a második és harmadik esztendőben is.

He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.

A fost în război cu împăratul fiilor lui Amon şi i-a biruit. Fiii lui Amon i-au dat în anul acela o sută de talanţi de argint, zece mii de cori de grâu şi zece mii de orz; şi i-au plătit tot atât pe anul al doilea şi al treilea.

He fought with the king of the Ammonites and prevailed against them. And the Ammonites gave him that year 100 talents of silver, and 10,000 cors of wheat and 10,000 of barley. The Ammonites paid him the same amount in the second and the third years.

És hatalmassá lett Jótám, mert útjain állhatatosan járt az ÚR, az ő Istene előtt.

És hatalmassá lőn Jótám, mert útjában az Úr előtt, az ő Istene előtt járt.

So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.

Iotam a ajuns puternic, pentru că şi-a urmat necurmat căile înaintea Domnului Dumnezeului său.

Akkor Jótám elaludt, és atyáihoz tért, és eltemették Dávid városában. Fia, Áház lett utána a király.

És elaluvék Jótám az ő atyjával, és eltemeték őt a Dávid városában; és uralkodék Akház, az ő fia helyette.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
