Húszesztendős volt Áház, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és tizenhat esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. De nem cselekedett kedves dolgot az ÚR szemében, mint Dávid, az ő atyja,

Húsz esztendős volt Akház, mikor uralkodni kezdett, és tizenhat esztendeig uralkodék Jeruzsálemben, és nem cselekedék kedves dolgot az Úr előtt, mint Dávid, az ő atyja;

Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father:

Ahaz avea douăzeci de ani când a ajuns împărat şi a domnit şaisprezece ani la Ierusalim. El n-a făcut ce este bine înaintea Domnului, cum făcuse tatăl său David.

Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD, as his father David had done,

For he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, and made also molten images for Baalim.

but he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel. He even made metal images for the Baals,

Azonfölül tömjénezett a Hinnóm fiának völgyében, sőt fiait is elégette a pogányok utálatosságai szerint, akiket az ÚR kiűzött Izráel fiai elől.

Annakfelette tömjéneze a Hinnom fiának völgyében; fiait is megégeté tűzben, a pogányok útálatosságai szerint, a kiket az Úr az Izráel fiai elől kiűzött volt.

Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

and he made offerings in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom and burned his sons as an offering, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD drove out before the people of Israel.

He sacrificed also and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

And he sacrificed and made offerings on the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.

Ezért az ÚR, az ő Istene Arám királyának kezébe adta őt, és nagy vereséget szenvedett, és sok foglyot hurcoltak el tőle, akiket Damaszkuszba vittek. Sőt még Izráel királyának is kezébe adatott, és ő nagy vereséget mért rá:

Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter.

Domnul Dumnezeul său l-a dat în mâinile împăratului Siriei. Sirienii l-au bătut şi i-au luat un mare număr de prinşi de război, pe care i-au dus la Damasc. A fost dat şi în mâinile împăratului lui Israel, care i-a pricinuit o mare înfrângere.

Therefore the LORD his God gave him into the hand of the king of Syria, who defeated him and took captive a great number of his people and brought them to Damascus. He was also given into the hand of the king of Israel, who struck him with great force.

Pekah, Remaljáhú fia ugyanis Júdában egy nap alatt levágott százhúszezer embert, akik mind vitézek voltak, de elhagyták az URat, atyáik Istenét.

For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an hundred and twenty thousand in one day, which were all valiant men; because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.

For Pekah the son of Remaliah killed 120,000 from Judah in one day, all of them men of valor, because they had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers.

And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.

And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, killed Maaseiah the king’s son and Azrikam the commander of the palace and Elkanah the next in authority to the king.

És elvittek Izráel fiai testvéreik közül kétszázezer asszonyt, fiút, leányt, és nagy zsákmányt is ejtettek tőlük, és a zsákmánnyal Samáriába mentek.

És elvivének az Izráel fiai az ő atyjokfiai közül kétszázezer asszonyt, fiút, leányt, és nagy vagyont rablának el tőlök, és azzal a zsákmánynyal mennek vala Samariába.

And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to Samaria.

Copiii lui Israel au luat dintre fraţii lor două sute de mii de prinşi de război, femei, fiii şi fiice, şi le-au luat multă pradă, pe care au adus-o la Samaria.

The men of Israel took captive 200,000 of their relatives, women, sons, and daughters. They also took much spoil from them and brought the spoil to Samaria.

De volt ott az ÚRnak egy prófétája, név szerint Ódéd, aki elébe ment a hadnak, amely Samáriába jött, és azt mondta nekik: Íme, mivel az ÚRnak, atyáitok Istenének haragja fölgerjedt Júda ellen, a kezetekbe adta őket, ti pedig sokat megöltetek közülük haragotokban, amely szintén fölhatott az égig.

Vala pedig ott az Úrnak egy prófétája, a kinek neve Odéd, a ki eleibe menvén a hadnak, a mely Samariába megy vala, monda nékik: Ímé, mivel az Úrnak, atyáitok Istenének haragja Júda ellen felgerjedett, őket kezetekbe adta, és ti [sokat] megölétek közülök haragotokban, a mely szintén az égig felhatott;

But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.

But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded, and he went out to meet the army that came to Samaria and said to them, “Behold, because the LORD, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand, but you have killed them in a rage that has reached up to heaven.

És immár arra gondoltok, hogy Júda és Jeruzsálem fiait leigázhatjátok, hogy szolgáitok és szolgálóleányaitok legyenek ők. Vajon ezáltal nem teszitek-e vétkesekké magatokat az ÚR, a ti Istenetek előtt?

És immár arra gondoltok, hogy Júdának és Jeruzsálemnek fiait megalázzátok, hogy néktek szolgáitok és szolgálóleányitok legyenek: avagy ezáltal nem teszitek-é magatokat bűnösökké az Úrnál, a ti Isteneteknél?

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not with you, even with you, sins against the LORD your God?

Şi credeţi acum că veţi face din copiii lui Iuda şi din Ierusalim robii şi roabele voastre? Dar voi nu sunteţi vinovaţi înaintea Domnului Dumnezeului vostru?

And now you intend to subjugate the people of Judah and Jerusalem, male and female, as your slaves. Have you not sins of your own against the LORD your God?

Azért halljátok meg a szavamat: Engedjétek vissza a testvéreitek közül ejtett foglyokat, akiket idehoztatok, különben az ÚR izzó haragja lesz rajtatok.

Azért halljátok meg szómat: Vigyétek vissza a ti atyátokfiai közül való foglyokat, a kiket ide hoztatok; különben az Úrnak nagy haragja [lészen] rajtatok.

Now hear me therefore, and deliver the captives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you.

Ascultaţi-mă, dar, şi daţi drumul acestor prinşi pe care i-aţi luat dintre fraţii voştri; căci mânia aprinsă a Domnului este peste voi!”

Now hear me, and send back the captives from your relatives whom you have taken, for the fierce wrath of the LORD is upon you.”

Akkor fölálltak néhányan az efraimi vezérek közül: Azarjáhú, Jehóhánán fia, Berekjáhú, Mesillémót fia, Jehizkijjáhú, Sallum fia és Amászá, Hadlaj fia, azokkal szemben, akik a csatából jöttek,

Akkor felkelének némelyek az Efraimból való vezérek közül: Azáriás, a Jóhanán fia; Berékiás, a Mesillemót fia; Ezékiás, a Sallum fia, és Amása a Hadlai fia, azok ellen, a kik a viadalból jőnek vala.

Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war,

Unii dintre capii fiilor lui Efraim: Azaria, fiul lui Iohanan, Berechia, fiul lui Meşilemot, Ezechia, fiul lui Şalum, şi Amasa, fiul lui Hadlai, s-au ridicat împotriva celor ce se întorceau de la oştire

Certain chiefs also of the men of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and Amasa the son of Hadlai, stood up against those who were coming from the war

és azt mondták nekik: Ne hozzátok ide a foglyokat, mert felette igen nagy bűn lesz az, amit tenni akartok, és ezzel a mi bűneinket és vétkeinket megsokasítjátok. Enélkül is sok bűnünk van, és felgerjedt az ÚR haragja Izráel ellen.

És mondának nékik: Ne hozzátok ide be a foglyokat, mert felette igen nagy bűn lesz az, a mit akartok művelni, és ezzel a mi bűneinket és vétkeinket megsokasítjátok; mert [e nélkül] is sok bűnünk van, és felgerjedt a harag Izráel ellen.

And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have offended against the LORD already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.

şi le-au zis: „Să nu aduceţi aici pe aceşti prinşi de război. Căci, după ce că suntem vinovaţi înaintea Domnului, voi vreţi să mai şi adăugaţi la păcatele şi la greşelile noastre. Suntem foarte vinovaţi, şi mânia aprinsă a Domnului este peste Israel.”

and said to them, “You shall not bring the captives in here, for you propose to bring upon us guilt against the LORD in addition to our present sins and guilt. For our guilt is already great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.”

Erre a sereg otthagyta a foglyokat és a zsákmányt a vezérek és az egész gyülekezet előtt.

So the armed men left the captives and the spoil before the princes and all the congregation.

Ekkor fölálltak a név szerint kijelölt férfiak, vették a foglyokat, és akik mezítelenek voltak közülük, azokat felöltöztették a zsákmányból, sarut is adtak a lábukra, ételt és italt is adtak nekik, sőt meg is kenték őket olajjal, és a gyengélkedőket szamarakra tették, és Jerikóba, a pálmafák városába vitték őket testvéreikhez, majd visszatértek Samáriába.

És felállának a névszerint megnevezett férfiak, s felvevék a foglyokat, és a kik mezítelenek valának közülök, felöltözteték a zsákmányból; felöltözteték azokat, sarukat is adának lábaikra; ételt és italt is adának nékik; sőt meg is kenék őket, és a gyengélkedőket szamarakra helyezék, és vivék őket a pálmafák városába, Jérikhóba, az ő atyjokfiaihoz; azután megtérének Samariába.

And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to Samaria.

Şi oamenii numiţi pe nume pentru aceasta s-au sculat şi au luat pe prinşii de război, au îmbrăcat cu prada pe toţi cei ce erau goi, le-au dat haine şi încălţăminte, le-au dat să mănânce şi să bea, i-au uns, au încălecat pe măgari pe toţi cei osteniţi şi i-au adus la Ierihon, cetatea finicilor, la fraţii lor. Apoi s-au întors la Samaria.

And the men who have been mentioned by name rose and took the captives, and with the spoil they clothed all who were naked among them. They clothed them, gave them sandals, provided them with food and drink, and anointed them, and carrying all the feeble among them on donkeys, they brought them to their kinsfolk at Jericho, the city of palm trees. Then they returned to Samaria.

Abban az időben Áház király követeket küldött Asszíria királyához, hogy segítse meg őt.

At that time did king Ahaz send unto the kings of Assyria to help him.

At that time King Ahaz sent to the king of Assyria for help.

Mert még az edómiak is betörtek, és a júdabeliek közül sokat levágtak vagy rabságba hurcoltak.

For again the Edomites had come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives.

Edomiţii au venit iarăşi, au bătut pe Iuda şi le-au luat prinşi de război.

For the Edomites had again invaded and defeated Judah and carried away captives.

A filiszteusok is mind ellepték a síkságon levő városokat és Júda déli részét. Elfoglalták Bétsemest, Ajjálónt, Gedérótot, Szókot és falvait, Timnát és falvait, Gimzót és falvait, és ott laktak.

The Philistines also had invaded the cities of the low country, and of the south of Judah, and had taken Bethshemesh, and Ajalon, and Gederoth, and Shocho with the villages thereof, and Timnah with the villages thereof, Gimzo also and the villages thereof: and they dwelt there.

Filistenii au năvălit în cetăţile din câmpie şi din partea de miazăzi a lui Iuda; au luat Bet-Şemeşul, Aialonul, Ghederotul, Soco şi satele lui, Timna şi satele ei, Ghimzo şi satele lui, şi s-au aşezat acolo.

And the Philistines had made raids on the cities in the Shephelah and the Negeb of Judah, and had taken Beth-shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, Soco with its villages, Timnah with its villages, and Gimzo with its villages. And they settled there.

Mert az ÚR megalázta Júdát Áház, Izráel királya miatt, mert az arra indította Júdát, hogy vétkezzék az ÚR ellen.

Mert az Úr megalázta Júdát Akházért, az Izráel királyáért; mert arra indítá Júdát, hogy vétkezzék az Úr ellen.

For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD.

Căci Domnul a smerit pe Iuda, din pricina lui Ahaz, împăratul lui Israel, care avusese o purtare fără frâu în Iuda şi păcătuise împotriva Domnului.

For the LORD humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had made Judah act sinfully and had been very unfaithful to the LORD.

Eljött azért ellene Tiglat-Pileszer, Asszíria királya, aki inkább sanyargatta őt, nem pedig segítette.

And Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria came unto him, and distressed him, but strengthened him not.

So Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came against him and afflicted him instead of strengthening him.

Mert noha Áház kifosztotta az ÚR házát és a király palotáját meg a fejedelmekét is és Asszíria királyának adta, de az mégsem segített neki.

Mert Akház kifosztá az Úr házát, a királyét, a fejedelmekét, és az Assiriabeli királynak adá, de azért nem lőn néki segítségére.

For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of the LORD, and out of the house of the king, and of the princes, and gave it unto the king of Assyria: but he helped him not.

Căci Ahaz a prădat Casa Domnului, casa împăratului şi a mai marilor, ca să facă daruri împăratului Asiriei; dar nu i-a ajutat la nimic.

For Ahaz took a portion from the house of the LORD and the house of the king and of the princes, and gave tribute to the king of Assyria, but it did not help him.

Sőt olyan volt Áház király, hogy még szorongattatása idején is tovább vétkezett az ÚR ellen.

Sőt még a szorongattatás idejében is tovább vétkezék az Úr ellen; ilyen vala Akház király.

And in the time of his distress did he trespass yet more against the LORD: this is that king Ahaz.

Pe vremea aceea, chiar când era la strâmtorare, a păcătuit şi mai mult împotriva Domnului, el, împăratul Ahaz.

In the time of his distress he became yet more faithless to the LORD—this same King Ahaz.

Damaszkusz isteneinek áldozott, akik őt megverték, mert azt gondolta: Mivel Arám királyait megsegítik isteneik, azért én is azoknak áldozom, hogy engem is segítsenek. Holott azok okozták romlását neki és egész Izráelnek is.

Mert áldozék Damaskus isteneinek, a kik őt megverték vala, ezt mondván: Mivel Siria királyainak istenei megsegítik őket, azért én is azoknak áldozom, hogy segéljenek engem is, holott mind néki, mind az egész Izráelnek azok okozták romlását.

For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus, which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria help them, therefore will I sacrifice to them, that they may help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israel.

A adus jertfă dumnezeilor Damascului, care-l bătuseră, şi a zis: „Fiindcă dumnezeii împăraţilor Siriei le vin în ajutor, le voi aduce şi eu jertfe, ca să-mi ajute.” Dar ei au fost prilejul căderii lui şi a întregului Israel.

For he sacrificed to the gods of Damascus that had defeated him and said, “Because the gods of the kings of Syria helped them, I will sacrifice to them that they may help me.” But they were the ruin of him and of all Israel.

És összehordta Áház Isten házának az edényeit, összetörette azokat, az ÚR házának ajtajait pedig bezárta. Azután Jeruzsálem minden szögletén oltárokat készíttetett magának.

És összehordá Akház az Isten házának edényeit, és összetöré az Isten házának edényeit, és az Úr házának ajtait bezárá, és csinála a maga számára oltárokat Jeruzsálemnek minden szegletén;

And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.

Ahaz a strâns uneltele din Casa lui Dumnezeu şi a făcut bucăţi uneltele din Casa lui Dumnezeu. A închis uşile Casei Domnului, şi-a făcut altare în toate colţurile Ierusalimului.

And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and he shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.

Júda minden városában is magaslatokat épített, hogy ott az idegen isteneknek tömjénezzen. Így haragra ingerelte az URat, atyái Istenét.

Júdának minden városaiban is magaslatokat építe, hogy az idegen isteneknek tömjénezzen, és haragra ingerlé az Urat, atyái Istenét.

And in every several city of Judah he made high places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to anger the LORD God of his fathers.

Şi a ridicat înălţimi în fiecare cetate a lui Iuda, ca să aducă tămâie altor dumnezei. Şi a mâniat astfel pe Domnul Dumnezeul părinţilor săi.

In every city of Judah he made high places to make offerings to other gods, provoking to anger the LORD, the God of his fathers.

Az ő többi dolga pedig és útjai elejétől a végéig, íme, meg vannak írva Júda és Izráel királyainak a könyvében.

Az ő több dolgai pedig és útjai, úgy az elsők, mint utolsók, ímé meg vannak írva a Júda és az Izráel királyainak könyvében.

Now the rest of his acts and of all his ways, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

Celelalte fapte ale lui şi toate căile lui, cele dintâi şi cele de pe urmă, sunt scrise în cartea împăraţilor lui Iuda şi Israel.

Azután elaludt Áház, és atyáihoz tért, és eltemették Jeruzsálem városában, de nem temették őt Izráel királyainak a sírjába. Fia, Ezékiás uralkodott utána.

Meghala pedig Akház az ő atyáival, és eltemeték őt Jeruzsálem városában; mert nem vivék őt az Izráel királyainak sírjába. És uralkodék az ő fia, Ezékiás, ő helyette.

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, even in Jerusalem: but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.

Ahaz a adormit cu părinţii săi şi a fost îngropat în cetatea Ierusalimului, căci nu l-au pus în mormintele împăraţilor lui Israel. Şi, în locul lui, a domnit fiul său Ezechia.

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, in Jerusalem, for they did not bring him into the tombs of the kings of Israel. And Hezekiah his son reigned in his place.
