Hétesztendős volt Jóás, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és negyven esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyja neve Cibjá volt, Beérsebából.

Hét esztendős vala Joás, mikor uralkodni kezde, és uralkodék Jeruzsálemben negyven esztendeig; az ő anyjának neve Sibia vala, Beersebából.

Joash was seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Zibiah of Beersheba.

És Jóás az ÚR előtt kedves dolgot cselekedett Jójádá főpap egész életében.

És cselekedék Joás az Úr előtt kedves dolgot, Jójada papnak teljes életében.

And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

And Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

Jójádá két feleséget szerzett neki, ő pedig fiúkat és lányokat nemzett.

And Jehoiada took for him two wives; and he begat sons and daughters.

Ezek után elhatározta magában Jóás, hogy fölújítja az ÚR házát.

And it came to pass after this, that Joash was minded to repair the house of the LORD.

După aceea, Ioas şi-a pus de gând să dreagă Casa Domnului.

After this Joash decided to restore the house of the LORD.

Összehívta a papokat és a lévitákat, és azt mondta nekik: Menjetek el Júda városaiba, és szedjetek Izráel népétől fejenként pénzt, hogy Istenetek házát esztendőről esztendőre kijavítsák. De siessetek e dologgal! A léviták azonban nem siettek.

És összehivatá a papokat és a Lévitákat, és monda nékik: Menjetek el a Júda városaiba, és szedjetek az Izráel népétől fejenként pénzt, hogy a ti Istentek háza esztendőnként kijavíttassék. Ti pedig siessetek e dologgal; de a Léviták nem sietének.

And he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out unto the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that ye hasten the matter. Howbeit the Levites hastened it not.

A strâns pe preoţi şi pe leviţi şi le-a zis: „Duceţi-vă prin cetăţile lui Iuda şi strângeţi bani din tot Israelul, pe fiecare an, pentru dregerea Casei Dumnezeului vostru. Şi grăbiţi-vă cu lucrul acesta.” Dar leviţii nu s-au grăbit.

And he gathered the priests and the Levites and said to them, “Go out to the cities of Judah and gather from all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that you act quickly.” But the Levites did not act quickly.

Ekkor hívatta a király Jójádát, a vezetőjüket, és azt mondta neki: Miért nem ügyeltél a lévitákra, hogy behozzák Júdából és Jeruzsálemből az adót, amelyet Mózes, az ÚR szolgája és a gyülekezet kirótt Izráelre a bizonyság sátra javára?

Akkor hivatá a király Jójadát a papifejedelmet, és monda néki: Miért nem gondoltál a Lévitákra, hogy behozzák Júdából és Jeruzsálemből az ajándékot, a melyet [rendelt] Mózes az Úr szolgája és az Izráel gyülekezete, a gyülekezet sátorához?

And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?

Împăratul a chemat pe marele preot Iehoiada şi i-a zis: „Pentru ce n-ai vegheat ca leviţii să strângă din Iuda şi din Ierusalim darea poruncită de Moise, robul Domnului, şi pusă pe adunarea lui Israel pentru Cortul mărturiei?

So the king summoned Jehoiada the chief and said to him, “Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and Jerusalem the tax levied by Moses, the servant of the LORD, and the congregation of Israel for the tent of testimony?”

Mert az istentelen Ataljá és fiai elpusztították Isten házát, és mindazt, ami az ÚR házának volt szentelve, a bálványokra költötték.

For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD did they bestow upon Baalim.

Căci nelegiuita aceea de Atalia şi fiii ei au pustiit Casa lui Dumnezeu şi au întrebuinţat în slujba Baalilor toate lucrurile închinate Casei Domnului.”

For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken into the house of God, and had also used all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD for the Baals.

A király parancsára egy ládát készítettek, amelyet az ÚR házának kapuja előtt helyeztek el.

És mikor parancsolt a király, csinálának egy ládát, melyet az Úr házának kapuja előtt helyezének el, kivül.

And at the king's commandment they made a chest, and set it without at the gate of the house of the LORD.

So the king commanded, and they made a chest and set it outside the gate of the house of the LORD.

És kihirdették Júdában és Jeruzsálemben, hogy hozzák el az ÚRnak azt az adót, amelyet Mózes, Isten szolgája parancsolt a pusztában Izráelnek.

És kihirdeték Júdában és Jeruzsálemben, hogy hozzák el az Úrnak az ajándékot, a melyet az Isten szolgája Mózes [parancsolt] a pusztában Izráelnek.

And they made a proclamation through Judah and Jerusalem, to bring in to the LORD the collection that Moses the servant of God laid upon Israel in the wilderness.

Şi s-a dat de veste în Iuda şi în Ierusalim ca să se aducă Domnului darea pusă de Moise, robul Domnului, pe Israel în pustiu.

And proclamation was made throughout Judah and Jerusalem to bring in for the LORD the tax that Moses the servant of God laid on Israel in the wilderness.

Akkor valamennyi vezető ember és az egész nép örömmel vitte ajándékait és a ládába dobta, amíg az meg nem telt.

Akkor a vezérek mindnyájan és az egész nép örömmel vivék [az ő ajándékaikat] és veték a ládába, míg megtelék.

And all the princes and all the people rejoiced, and brought in, and cast into the chest, until they had made an end.

Toate căpeteniile şi tot poporul s-au bucurat de lucrul acesta şi au adus şi au aruncat în ladă tot ce aveau de plătit.

And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.

Időnként a lévitákkal bevitették a ládát a királyi gondnokhoz, és amikor látták, hogy sok pénz van benne, eljött a király kancellárja és a főpap választott embere, kiürítették a ládát, majd ismét visszavitték a helyére. Ezt tették időről időre, és sok pénzt gyűjtöttek.

Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest was brought unto the king's office by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, the king's scribe and the high priest's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.

Când vedeau leviţii că e mult argint în ladă şi că era vremea ca s-o dea în mâinile dregătorilor împăratului, venea logofătul împăratului şi slujbaşul marelui preot şi goleau lada. Apoi o luau şi o puneau iarăşi la loc. Aşa făceau în fiecare zi, şi au strâns mult argint.

And whenever the chest was brought to the king’s officers by the Levites, when they saw that there was much money in it, the king’s secretary and the officer of the chief priest would come and empty the chest and take it and return it to its place. Thus they did day after day, and collected money in abundance.

Ezt a király és Jójádá az ÚR háza körül való munka felügyelőjének adta, és kőfaragókat és ácsokat fogadtak az ÚR házának fölújítására, és vas- meg rézműveseket az ÚR házának megerősítésére.

És adá azt a király és Jójada az Úr háza körül való munka felügyelőjének; és fogadának favágókat és ácsokat az Úr házának újítására, vas- és rézműveseket is az Úr házának megerősítésére.

And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD, and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD.

Împăratul şi Iehoiada îl dădeau meşterilor însărcinaţi cu facerea lucrării în Casa Domnului, care tocmeau cioplitori de piatră şi tâmplari, ca să dreagă Casa Domnului, precum şi lucrători în fier şi aramă, ca să dreagă Casa Domnului.

And the king and Jehoiada gave it to those who had charge of the work of the house of the LORD, and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of the LORD, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the house of the LORD.

A munka végzői tették a dolgukat, és kezük alatt a javítás előrehaladt. Helyreállították és megerősítették az Isten házát az eredeti állapot szerint.

Munkálkodának azért a művesek, és az ő kezök által a kijavítás előrehaladt, s az Úrnak házát [előbbi] állapotába helyezék, és megerősíték azt.

So the workmen wrought, and the work was perfected by them, and they set the house of God in his state, and strengthened it.

Lucrătorii s-au apucat de lucru şi au isprăvit ce era de dres; au pus Casa lui Dumnezeu iarăşi în stare bună şi au întărit-o.

So those who were engaged in the work labored, and the repairing went forward in their hands, and they restored the house of God to its proper condition and strengthened it.

Mikor pedig elvégezték azt, a megmaradt pénzt a királyhoz és Jójádához vitték, s ők abból az ÚR háza számára edényeket, az istentisztelet és áldozat számára kanalakat, és arany- és ezüstedényeket készíttettek. És Jójádá egész életében rendszeresen égőáldozatokat áldoztak az ÚR házában.

Mikor pedig elvégezték, a megmaradt pénzt vivék a királynak és Jójadának, melyből csinálának az Úr háza számára edényeket, az [isteni ]tisztelet és áldozat számára kanalakat, s arany és ezüst edényeket. És áldozának vala égőáldozatokkal szüntelen az Úrnak házában, Jójadának, teljes életében.

And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels to minister, and to offer withal, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.

Când au isprăvit, au adus înaintea împăratului şi înaintea lui Iehoiada argintul care mai rămăsese. And when they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, and with it were made utensils for the house of the LORD, both for the service and for the burnt offerings, and dishes for incense and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD regularly all the days of Jehoiada.

Azután megöregedett Jójádá, és betelve az élettel, meghalt. Százharminc esztendős korában halt meg.

Megvénhedék pedig Jójada, és megelégedvén életével, meghala. Százharmincz esztendős korában hala meg.

But Jehoiada waxed old, and was full of days when he died; an hundred and thirty years old was he when he died.

Iehoiada a murit bătrân şi sătul de zile. La moarte, avea o sută treizeci de ani.

But Jehoiada grew old and full of days, and died. He was 130 years old at his death.

Dávid városában, a királyok mellé temették el, mivel sok jó dolgot cselekedett Izráelben mind Isten, mind az ő házának ügyéért.

És eltemeték őt a Dávid városában a királyok között, mivel kedves dolgot cselekedett vala Izráelben mind Istennel s mind az ő házával.

And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, both toward God, and toward his house.

L-au îngropat în cetatea lui David la un loc cu împăraţii, pentru că făcuse bine în Israel şi faţă de Dumnezeu, şi faţă de Casa Lui.

Miután pedig meghalt Jójádá, eljöttek Júda fejedelmei a királyhoz, és meghajoltak előtte. A király pedig hallgatott rájuk.

Minekutána pedig meghala Jójada, eljövének a Júda fejedelmei, és meghajták magokat a király előtt; a király pedig hallgatott reájok.

Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made obeisance to the king. Then the king hearkened unto them.

După moartea lui Iehoiada, căpeteniile lui Iuda au venit şi s-au închinat înaintea împăratului. Atunci împăratul i-a ascultat.

Now after the death of Jehoiada the princes of Judah came and paid homage to the king. Then the king listened to them.

És elhagyták az ÚRnak, atyáik Istenének a házát, és az Aséráknak és a bálványoknak szolgáltak. E vétkük miatt szállt az ÚR haragja Júdára és Jeruzsálemre.

És elhagyák az Úrnak, atyáik Istenének házát, és szolgálának az Aseráknak és bálványoknak; mely vétkök miatt lőn [az Úrnak] haragja Júda és Jeruzsálem ellen.

And they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass.

Şi au părăsit Casa Domnului Dumnezeului părinţilor lor şi au slujit Astarteilor şi idolilor. Mânia Domnului a venit asupra lui Iuda şi asupra Ierusalimului, pentru că se făcuseră vinovaţi în felul acesta.

And they abandoned the house of the LORD, the God of their fathers, and served the Asherim and the idols. And wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs.

Küldött hozzájuk prófétákat, hogy térítsék vissza őket az ÚRhoz, akik bizonyságot tettek ellenük, de nem hallgattak rájuk.

És külde hozzájuk prófétákat, hogy visszatérítenék őket az Úrhoz, a kik bizonyságot tevének ellenök, de nem hallgattak reájok.

Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again unto the LORD; and they testified against them: but they would not give ear.

Domnul a trimis la ei proroci să-i întoarcă înapoi la El, dar n-au ascultat de înştiinţările pe care le-au primit.

Yet he sent prophets among them to bring them back to the LORD. These testified against them, but they would not pay attention.

Erre Isten lelke felindította Zekarját, Jójádá pap fiát, aki a nép elé állt, és ezt mondta nekik: Azt mondja Isten: „Miért szegtétek meg az ÚR parancsolatait? Nem válik ez javatokra. Mivel elhagytátok az URat, ő is elhagy titeket.”

Az Isten lelke pedig felindítá Zakariást, a Jójada pap fiát, a ki felálla a nép között, és monda nékik: Ezt mondja az Isten: Miért szegtétek meg az Úrnak parancsolatait? - mert az nem használ néktek. Ha elhagytátok az Urat, ő is elhagy titeket.

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.

Zaharia, fiul preotului Iehoiada, a fost îmbrăcat cu Duhul lui Dumnezeu. El s-a înfăţişat înaintea poporului şi i-a zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Dumnezeu: „Pentru ce călcaţi poruncile Domnului? Nu veţi propăşi. Pentru că aţi părăsit pe Domnul, şi El vă va părăsi.”

Then the Spirit of God clothed Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stood above the people, and said to them, “Thus says God, ‘Why do you break the commandments of the LORD, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the LORD, he has forsaken you.’”

Erre azok rátámadtak, és ott, az ÚR házának udvarán megkövezték a király parancsára.

Amazok pedig reá támadván, ott az Úr háza pitvarában megkövezék őt a király parancsolatjából.

And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the LORD.

Şi au uneltit împotriva lui şi l-au ucis cu pietre, din porunca împăratului, în curtea Casei Domnului.

But they conspired against him, and by command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of the LORD.

Jóás király nem emlékezett meg arról a jótéteményről, amelyet annak apja, Jójádá tanúsított iránta életében, hanem megölette a fiát. Amikor pedig ez haldoklott, ezt mondta: Lássa meg ezt az ÚR és kérje számon!

És nem emlékezék meg Joás király a jótéteményről, a melylyel annak atyja, Jójada vala ő hozzá éltében, hanem megöleté a fiát. Mikor pedig meghalna, ezt mondá: Látja az Úr és bosszút áll!

Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but slew his son. And when he died, he said, The LORD look upon it, and require it.

Împăratul Ioas nu şi-a adus aminte de bunăvoinţa pe care o avusese faţă de el Iehoiada, tatăl lui Zaharia, şi a omorât pe fiul lui. Zaharia a zis când a murit: „Domnul să vadă şi să judece!”

Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness that Jehoiada, Zechariah’s father, had shown him, but killed his son. And when he was dying, he said, “May the LORD see and avenge!”

És az év elmúltával felvonult ellene az arám sereg. Júdára és Jeruzsálemre támadtak, és kiirtották a hadinép minden vezérét, és minden zsákmányukat Damaszkuszba küldték a királynak.

És már az esztendő elmúltával feljöve ellene Siria [királyának] serege, és méne Júdára és Jeruzsálemre, és kiirtották a népnek minden vezéreit a nép közül, és minden zsákmányukat küldék Damaskusba a királynak;

And it came to pass at the end of the year, that the host of Syria came up against him: and they came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent all the spoil of them unto the king of Damascus.

După trecerea anului, oastea sirienilor s-a suit împotriva lui Ioas şi a venit în Iuda şi la Ierusalim. Au omorât din popor pe toate căpeteniile poporului şi au trimis împăratului toată prada la Damasc.

At the end of the year the army of the Syrians came up against Joash. They came to Judah and Jerusalem and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people and sent all their spoil to the king of Damascus.

Mert noha kevés emberrel jött rájuk az arám had, az ÚR mégis kezükbe adta Júda nagy seregét, mert elhagyták az URat, atyáik Istenét. Így hajtották végre Jóáson is az ítéletet.

Mert noha kevés emberrel jött vala rájok a Siriabeli had, mindazáltal az Úr kezökbe adá [Júdának] nagy seregét, mivel az Urat, atyáiknak Istenét elhagyták; és Joáson is bosszút állának.

For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men, and the LORD delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers. So they executed judgment against Joash.

Oastea sirienilor a venit cu un mic număr de oameni. Totuşi Domnul a dat în mâinile lor o oaste foarte însemnată, pentru că părăsiseră pe Domnul Dumnezeul părinţilor lor. Astfel au pedepsit sirienii pe Ioas.

Though the army of the Syrians had come with few men, the LORD delivered into their hand a very great army, because Judah had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers. Thus they executed judgment on Joash.

Amikor eltávoztak tőle, súlyos betegségben hagyták hátra, és saját szolgái ütöttek pártot ellene Jójádá pap fiának véréért: ágyában ölték meg, és meghalt. Dávid városában temették el, de nem a királyok sírjába.

És mikor tőle elmentek (súlyos betegségben hagyták hátra): pártot ütének ellene az ő szolgái, a Jójada pap fiának haláláért, és megölék őt ágyában, és meghala. És eltemeték őt a Dávid városában, de nem temeték őt a királyok sírjába.

And when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and slew him on his bed, and he died: and they buried him in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings.

When they had departed from him, leaving him severely wounded, his servants conspired against him because of the blood of the son of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died, and they buried him in the city of David, but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings.

And these are they that conspired against him; Zabad the son of Shimeath an Ammonitess, and Jehozabad the son of Shimrith a Moabitess.

Those who conspired against him were Zabad the son of Shimeath the Ammonite, and Jehozabad the son of Shimrith the Moabite.

Fiainak a dolgai, az ellene szóló sok prófécia és az Isten házának helyreállítása, íme, le vannak írva a királyok könyvének magyarázatában. Utána fia, Amacjá lett a király.

Az ő fiai, és alatta az adónak megszaporodása, s az Isten házának kijavítása, ímé meg vannak írva a királyok könyvének magyarázatában. Uralkodék helyette az ő fia, Amásia.

Now concerning his sons, and the greatness of the burdens laid upon him, and the repairing of the house of God, behold, they are written in the story of the book of the kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.

Cât despre fiii lui, despre marele număr de prorocii făcute cu privire la el şi despre dregerea Casei lui Dumnezeu, toate acestea sunt scrise în istoria din cartea împăraţilor. În locul lui a domnit fiul său Amaţia.

Accounts of his sons and of the many oracles against him and of the rebuilding of the house of God are written in the Story of the Book of the Kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his place.
