Huszonöt esztendős korában lett király Amacjá, és huszonkilenc esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyja neve Jehóaddán volt, Jeruzsálemből származott.

Huszonöt esztendős korában kezdett Amásia uralkodni, és huszonkilencz esztendeig uralkodék Jeruzsálemben; az ő anyjának neve Jéhoaddán vala, Jeruzsálemből való.

Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

Amaţia a ajuns împărat la vârsta de douăzeci şi cinci de ani şi a domnit douăzeci şi nouă de ani la Ierusalim. Mama sa se chema Ioadan din Ierusalim.

Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

Azt tette, ami kedves az ÚR előtt, de nem teljes szívből.

És kedves dolgot cselekedék az Úr előtt; de nem tiszta szívből.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.

El a făcut ce este bine înaintea Domnului, dar cu o inimă care nu era în totul dată Lui.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, yet not with a whole heart.

Miután uralma megerősödött, megölette azokat a szolgáit, akik a királyt, az ő apját megölték.

Lőn pedig azután, hogy országában megerősödék, megölé az ő szolgáit, a kik a királyt, az ő atyját megölték vala.

Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.

Când s-a întărit domnia în mâinile lui, a omorât pe slujitorii care uciseseră pe împăratul, tatăl său.

And as soon as the royal power was firmly his, he killed his servants who had struck down the king his father.

De a fiaikat nem ölette meg, hanem úgy cselekedett, amint a törvényben, Mózes könyvében van megírva, amelyben az ÚR azt parancsolta: Ne haljanak meg az apák a fiakért, és a fiak se haljanak meg az apákért, hanem mindenki az ő saját bűnéért haljon meg.

De azoknak fiait nem öleté meg, hanem a szerint cselekedék, a mint a törvényben, a Mózes könyvében megiratott, a melyben az Úr parancsolt volt, mondván: Meg ne ölettessenek az atyák a fiakért és a fiak se ölettessenek meg az atyákért, hanem kiki az ő saját bűnéért ölettessék meg.

But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.

Dar n-a omorât pe fiii lor, căci a lucrat potrivit cu ceea ce este scris în Lege, în cartea lui Moise, unde Domnul dă porunca aceasta: „Să nu se omoare părinţii pentru copii, şi să nu se omoare copiii pentru părinţi; ci fiecare să fie omorât pentru păcatul lui.”

But he did not put their children to death, according to what is written in the Law, in the Book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, “Fathers shall not die because of their children, nor children die because of their fathers, but each one shall die for his own sin.”

Azután összegyűjtötte Amacjá Júdát, és felállította őket családonként ezredesek és századosok vezetésével, minden júdait és benjáminit. Amikor számba vette őket húszévestől fölfelé, háromszázezer válogatott fegyverforgatót, kopjást és pajzsost talált köztük.

Összegyűjté annak felette Amásia a Júda népét, és választa közülök a nemzetségek szerint egész Júdában és Benjáminban ezredeseket és századosokat; és megszámlálá őket a húsz esztendősöktől fogva és a kik feljebb valának, és talála azok közül válogatott fegyverfoghatókat, kopjásokat és paizsosokat, háromszázezeret.

Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.

Amaţia a strâns pe oamenii din Iuda şi i-a pus după casele părinteşti, căpetenii peste mii şi căpetenii peste sute, pentru tot Iuda şi Beniamin. Then Amaziah assembled the men of Judah and set them by fathers’ houses under commanders of thousands and of hundreds for all Judah and Benjamin. He mustered those twenty years old and upward, and found that they were 300,000 choice men, fit for war, able to handle spear and shield.

He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.

He hired also 100,000 mighty men of valor from Israel for 100 talents of silver.

Akkor elment hozzá Isten embere, és ezt mondta: Ó, király! Ne menjen el veled Izráel serege, mert az ÚR nem lesz Izráellel, Efraim fiaival!

Eljöve pedig az Isten embere ő hozzá, mondván: Oh király! ne menjen el te veled Izráel serege, mert az Úr nem lesz Izráellel, Efraim minden fiaival.

But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.

Un om al lui Dumnezeu a venit la el şi a zis: „Împărate, să nu meargă cu tine oastea lui Israel, căci Domnul nu este cu Israel, nu este cu toţi aceşti fii ai lui Efraim.

But a man of God came to him and said, “O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you, for the LORD is not with Israel, with all these Ephraimites.

De te menj el, készülj a viadalra. Különben elbuktat téged Isten az ellenség előtt, mert Isten hatalmában van, hogy megsegítsen, vagy botlásodat okozza.

Ha nem [hiszed,] ám menj el, készülj a viadalhoz; de megver az Isten téged az ellenség előtt; mert az Isten hatalmában van mind a segítség, mind a megveretés.

But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.

Dacă mergi cu ei, chiar dacă ai face la luptă fapte de vitejie, să ştii că Dumnezeu te va face să cazi înaintea vrăjmaşului. Căci Dumnezeu are putere să te ajute şi să te facă să cazi.”

But go, act, be strong for the battle. Why should you suppose that God will cast you down before the enemy? For God has power to help or to cast down.”

Akkor azt kérdezte Amacjá Isten emberétől: De mit tegyünk a száz talentum ezüsttel, amelyet Izráel seregének adtam? Isten embere így felelt: Az ÚR annál sokkal többet adhat neked!

Akkor monda Amásia az Isten emberének: De mit tegyünk a száz talentom ezüsttel, a melyet Izráel seregének adtam? És felele az Isten embere: Az Úr néked annál sokkal többet adhat.

And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.

Amaţia a zis omului lui Dumnezeu: „Dar ce să fac cu cei o sută de talanţi pe care i-am dat oştii lui Israel?” Omul lui Dumnezeu a răspuns: „Domnul poate să-ţi dea mult mai mult decât atât.”

And Amaziah said to the man of God, “But what shall we do about the hundred talents that I have given to the army of Israel?” The man of God answered, “The LORD is able to give you much more than this.”

Különválasztotta tehát Amacjá azt a sereget, amely Efraimból jött hozzá, hogy menjenek haza. Ezek igen megharagudtak Júda népére, és felgerjedt haraggal tértek haza.

Kiválasztá azért Amásia azt a sereget, a mely Efraimból jött vala ő hozzá, hogy mennének helyökre; mely dologért igen megharagvának a Júda népére, és felgerjedt haraggal tértek vissza helyeikre.

Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger.

Atunci Amaţia a despărţit ceata care-i venise din Efraim şi a poruncit ca oamenii aceştia să se întoarcă acasă. Dar ei s-au mâniat foarte tare pe Iuda şi au plecat acasă cu mare furie.

Then Amaziah discharged the army that had come to him from Ephraim to go home again. And they became very angry with Judah and returned home in fierce anger.

Amacjá pedig nekibátorodott, elindította hadinépét, elment a Sós-völgybe, és megvert tízezer széíri embert.

Amásia pedig felbátorodván, elindítá népét, és méne a sós völgybe; és megvere a Seir fiai közül tízezeret.

And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand.

Amaţia s-a îmbărbătat şi şi-a dus poporul în Valea Sării, unde a bătut zece mii de oameni din fiii lui Seir.

But Amaziah took courage and led out his people and went to the Valley of Salt and struck down 10,000 men of Seir.

And other ten thousand left alive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces.

The men of Judah captured another 10,000 alive and took them to the top of a rock and threw them down from the top of the rock, and they were all dashed to pieces.

Annak a seregnek az emberei pedig, akiket Amacjá visszaküldött, és nem mehettek vele harcba, Júda városaira ütöttek Samáriától fogva egészen Béthórónig: levágtak háromezer embert, és nagy zsákmányt vittek el.

Annak a seregnek fiai pedig, a kiket visszakülde Amásia, hogy ne menjenek ő vele hadba: Júdának városaira ütének Samariától fogva mind Bethóronig; és levágván háromezeret azok közül, nagy zsákmányt vivének el.

But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil.

Însă oamenii din ceata căreia îi dăduse drumul ca să nu meargă la război cu el au năvălit în cetăţile lui Iuda, de la Samaria până la Bet-Horon, au ucis acolo trei mii de inşi şi au luat multe prăzi.

But the men of the army whom Amaziah sent back, not letting them go with him to battle, raided the cities of Judah, from Samaria to Beth-horon, and struck down 3,000 people in them and took much spoil.

Miután Amacjá visszatért az edómiak leveréséből, elhozta a széíriek isteneit, és felállította azokat mint saját isteneit, leborult előttük, és tömjénezett nekik.

Lőn azután, hogy Amásia megtére az Edomiták megveréséből, a Seir fiainak isteneit elhozá és Isten gyanánt tisztelé azokat, a kik előtt magát meghajtja vala, és nékik jóillatot gerjeszte.

Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

Când s-a întors Amaţia de la înfrângerea edomiţilor, a adus pe dumnezeii fiilor lui Seir şi i-a pus dumnezei pentru el; s-a închinat înaintea lor şi le-a adus tămâie.

After Amaziah came from striking down the Edomites, he brought the gods of the men of Seir and set them up as his gods and worshiped them, making offerings to them.

Ezért megharagudott az ÚR Amacjára, és prófétát küldött hozzá, aki ezt mondta neki: Miért fordultál annak a népnek az isteneihez, akik nem tudták megszabadítani népüket a te kezedből?

Ezért megharaguvék az Úr Amásiára, és prófétát külde hozzá, a ki monda néki: Miért imádod annak a népnek isteneit, a kik nem szabadíthatták meg az ő népöket a te kezedből?

Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

Atunci Domnul S-a aprins de mânie împotriva lui Amaţia şi a trimis la el pe un proroc, care i-a zis: „Pentru ce ai căutat pe dumnezeii poporului acestuia, când ei n-au putut să-şi izbăvească poporul din mâna ta?”

Therefore the LORD was angry with Amaziah and sent to him a prophet, who said to him, “Why have you sought the gods of a people who did not deliver their own people from your hand?”

Mikor így szólt neki, a király ezt válaszolta: Vajon tanácsosa vagy te a királynak? Hallgass, mert rosszul jársz! A próféta elhallgatott, miután ezt mondta még: Tudom, hogy Isten el akar veszíteni téged, mivel ezt művelted, és tanácsomat nem fogadtad meg.

Lőn pedig, mikor ekképen szólott volna néki, monda néki a [király:] Vajjon te tanácsosa vagy-é a királynak? Hallgass, mert rosszul jársz. Megszünék azért a próféta, minekutána ezt mondotta volna: Látom, hogy az Isten el akar téged veszteni, mivel ezt műveléd, és tanácsomat nem fogadád meg.

And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

Pe când vorbea el, Amaţia i-a zis: „Oare te-am făcut sfetnic al împăratului? Pleacă! Pentru ce vrei să fii lovit?” Prorocul a plecat, zicând: „Ştiu acum că Dumnezeu a hotărât să te nimicească, pentru că ai făcut lucrul acesta şi n-ai ascultat sfatul meu.”

But as he was speaking, the king said to him, “Have we made you a royal counselor? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” So the prophet stopped, but said, “I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my counsel.”

Amacjá pedig, Júda királya tanácsot tartott, és követeket küldött Izráel királyához, Jóáshoz, Jóáház fiához, aki Jéhú unokája volt, ezt üzenve: Nosza, szálljunk szembe egymással!

Amásia pedig, a Júda királya, tanácsot tartván, követet külde Joáshoz, a Joákház fiához, a ki Jéhunak fia vala, az Izráel királyához, mondván: Nosza, szálljunk szembe egymással!

Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face.

După ce s-a sfătuit, Amaţia, împăratul lui Iuda, a trimis să spună lui Ioas, fiul lui Ioahaz, fiul lui Iehu, împăratul lui Israel: „Vino, să ne vedem faţă în faţă!”

Then Amaziah king of Judah took counsel and sent to Joash the son of Jehoahaz, son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, “Come, let us look one another in the face.”

Erre Jóás, Izráel királya ilyen választ adott Amacjának, Júda királyának: A libánoni tövisbokor ezt üzente a Libánonon lévő cédrusfának: Add feleségül a lányodat a fiamhoz. De arra futott egy vad, amely a Libánonon lakik, és eltaposta azt a tövisbokrot.

And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

Şi Ioas, împăratul lui Israel, a trimis să spună lui Amaţia, împăratul lui Iuda: „Spinul din Liban a trimis să spună cedrului din Liban: „Dă pe fiica ta de nevastă fiului meu!” Şi fiarele sălbatice din Liban au trecut şi au călcat în picioare spinul.

And Joash the king of Israel sent word to Amaziah king of Judah, “A thistle on Lebanon sent to a cedar on Lebanon, saying, ‘Give your daughter to my son for a wife,’ and a wild beast of Lebanon passed by and trampled down the thistle.

Te azt gondolod, hogy mivel megverted az edómiakat, felfuvalkodva dicsekedhetsz? Maradj otthon; miért hívnád ki a veszedelmet? Hiszen elesel Júdával együtt!

Te magadban így gondolkodtál: Megveréd az Edomitákat, azért fuvalkodtál fel magadban, hogy dicsekedjél. Kérlek, maradj otthon, miért szereznél magadnak veszedelmet, hogy te és Júda elveszszen [általam.]

Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

Tu te gândeşti că ai bătut pe edomiţi, şi de aceea ţi se înalţă inima ca să te mândreşti. Acum stai mai bine acasă. Pentru ce să stârneşti un rău care ţi-ar aduce pieirea ta şi a lui Iuda?”

You say, ‘See, I have struck down Edom,’ and your heart has lifted you up in boastfulness. But now stay at home. Why should you provoke trouble so that you fall, you and Judah with you?”

De Amacjá nem hallgatott rá, mert Isten elvégezte, hogy Jóás kezébe kerüljenek, amiért az edómiak isteneihez fordultak.

De Amásia nem nyugodhatott, mert Isten elvégezte vala, hogy [az ellenség] kezébe adja őket, mivel az Edomiták isteneit keresték.

But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.

Dar Amaţia nu l-a ascultat, fiindcă Dumnezeu hotărâse să-i dea în mâinile vrăjmaşului, căci căutaseră pe dumnezeii Edomului.

But Amaziah would not listen, for it was of God, in order that he might give them into the hand of their enemies, because they had sought the gods of Edom.

Elindult azért Jóás, Izráel királya, és szembeszálltak egymással, ő meg Amacjá, Júda királya a júdai Bétsemesnél.

Felindula azért Joás, az Izráel királya, és szembeszállának egymással ő és Amásia, a Júda királya Béth-Semesnél, a mely Júdában van.

So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

Şi Ioas, împăratul lui Israel, s-a suit; şi s-au văzut în faţă, el şi Amaţia, împăratul lui Iuda, la Bet-Şemeşul lui Iuda.

So Joash king of Israel went up, and he and Amaziah king of Judah faced one another in battle at Beth-shemesh, which belongs to Judah.

És Júda vereséget szenvedett Izráeltől, és elmenekültek mindnyájan sátraikba.

És Júda megveretteték Izráel által, és elmenekülének mindnyájan sátoraikba.

And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent.

Iuda a fost bătut de Israel, şi fiecare a fugit în cortul lui.

And Judah was defeated by Israel, and every man fled to his home.

Amacját pedig, Júda királyát, Jóás fiát, Jóáház unokáját elfogta Jóás, Izráel királya Bétsemesben és Jeruzsálembe vitette. Majd lerombolta Jeruzsálem várfalát az Efraim-kaputól fogva egészen a Szöglet-kapuig négyszáz könyök hosszan.

Amásiát pedig, a Júda királyát, a Joás fiát, a ki Joákház fia volt, Joás, az Izráel királya elfogá Béth-Semesben, és vivé őt Jeruzsálembe, és Jeruzsálem kőfalát lerontá az Efraim kaputól fogva mind a szeglet kapujáig négyszáz singnyire.

And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

Ioas, împăratul lui Israel, a luat la Bet-Şemeş pe Amaţia, împăratul lui Iuda, fiul lui Ioas, fiul lui Ioahaz. L-a adus la Ierusalim şi a făcut o spărtură de patru sute de coţi în zidul Ierusalimului, de la poarta lui Efraim până la poarta unghiului.

And Joash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, son of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem for 400 cubits, from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate.

Elvitte az aranyat, ezüstöt és mindenféle edényeket, amelyeket Isten házában és Óbéd-Edómnál talált, meg a királyi palota kincseit, és túszokat is szedett, és visszatért Samáriába.

És az aranyat, az ezüstöt és mindenféle edényeket, a melyek az Isten házában, az Obed-Edom birtokában találtatának, és a király házának kincseit, s a kezesek fiait mind Samariába vivé.

And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the treasures of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.

And he seized all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God, in the care of Obed-edom. He seized also the treasuries of the king’s house, also hostages, and he returned to Samaria.

Amacjá, Jóás fia, Júda királya még tizenöt évig élt, miután meghalt Jóás, Jóáház fia, Izráel királya.

Amásia, a Joás fia, a Júda királya, minekutána meghala Joás, a Joákház fia, az Izráel királya, még tizenöt esztendeig éle.

And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

Amaţia, fiul lui Ioas, împăratul lui Iuda, a trăit cincisprezece ani după moartea lui Ioas, fiul lui Ioahaz, împăratul lui Israel.

Amaziah the son of Joash, king of Judah, lived fifteen years after the death of Joash the son of Jehoahaz, king of Israel.

Amacjá többi dolga pedig elejétől a végéig nincsen-e megírva Júda és Izráel királyainak könyvében?

Amásiának pedig többi dolgai, az elsők és utolsók, avagy nincsenek-é megírva a Júda és az Izráel királyainak könyvében?

Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?

Now the rest of the deeds of Amaziah, from first to last, are they not written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel?

Attól az időtől fogva pedig, hogy Amacjá elfordult az ÚRtól, összeesküvést szőttek ellene Jeruzsálemben, ezért Lákisba menekült. De utána küldtek Lákisba, és ott megölték.

Azon időtől fogva pedig, hogy Amásia az Úrtól elszakada, összeesküvést szőttek ellene Jeruzsálemben; és elmeneküle Lákisba, de utána küldöttek Lákisba, és megölték ott őt.

Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.

De când s-a abătut Amaţia de la Domnul, s-a făcut împotriva lui o uneltire la Ierusalim, şi el a fugit la Lachis. Dar l-au urmărit la Lachis şi l-au omorât.

From the time when he turned away from the LORD they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish. But they sent after him to Lachish and put him to death there.
