Elaludt azután Abijjá atyáival, és eltemették Dávid városában, és utána fia, Ászá lett a király. Az ő idejében tíz esztendeig volt békesség az országban.

Elaluvék pedig Abija az ő atyáival, és eltemeték őt a Dávid városában, s uralkodék helyette az ő fia, Asa, a kinek idejében tíz esztendeig volt békesség a földön.

So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.

Abia a adormit cu părinţii lui şi a fost îngropat în cetatea lui David. Şi, în locul lui, a domnit fiul său Asa. Pe vremea lui, ţara a avut odihnă zece ani.

Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa his son reigned in his place. In his days the land had rest for ten years.

Ászá azt cselekedte, ami jó és igaz volt az ÚR, az ő Istene szemében.

És Asa mindazt cselekedé, a mi jó és igaz vala az Úr előtt, az ő Istene előtt;

And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:

Asa a făcut ce este bine şi plăcut înaintea Domnului Dumnezeului său.

And Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God.

Lerontotta az idegen istenek oltárait és a magaslatokat, a bálványokat összetörette, és az Asérákat kivágatta.

Elrontá az idegen [istenek] oltárait és a magaslatokat; a bálványokat eltöreté, és az Aserákat kivágatá;

For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:

A îndepărtat altarele dumnezeilor străini şi înălţimile, a sfărâmat stâlpii idoleşti şi a tăiat Astarteile.

He took away the foreign altars and the high places and broke down the pillars and cut down the Asherim

Megparancsolta Júdának, hogy az URat, atyáik Istenét keressék, és az ő törvényét és parancsolatát cselekedjék.

És megparancsolá Júdának, hogy az Urat, az ő atyáik Istenét keressék, és cselekedjék [az Isten] törvényét és parancsolatját.

And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.

A poruncit lui Iuda să caute pe Domnul Dumnezeul părinţilor săi şi să împlinească Legea şi poruncile.

and commanded Judah to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, and to keep the law and the commandment.

Eltávolította Júda minden városából a magaslatokat és a naposzlopokat, és az ország elcsendesedett.

Kipusztítá Júda minden városaiból a magaslatokat és a nap-oszlopokat, és az ország csendes lőn alatta.

Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.

A îndepărtat din toate cetăţile lui Iuda înălţimile şi stâlpii închinaţi soarelui. Şi împărăţia a avut pace sub el.

He also took out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the incense altars. And the kingdom had rest under him.

Megerősített városokat építtetett Júdában, mivelhogy nyugalomban volt a föld, és senki sem folytatott ellene háborút azokban az esztendőkben, mert az ÚR nyugalmat adott neki.

És építtetett megerősített városokat Júdában, mivelhogy nyugodalomban volt a föld, és senki sem folytatott ellene háborút azokban az esztendőkben, mert az Úr nyugodalmat adott vala néki.

And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.

A zidit cetăţi întărite în Iuda; căci ţara a fost liniştită, şi împotriva lui n-a fost război în anii aceia, pentru că Domnul i-a dat odihnă.

He built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest. He had no war in those years, for the LORD gave him peace.

Ezt mondta ezért Júdának: Építsük meg a városokat és vegyük körül kerítéssel, tornyokkal, kapukkal, zárakkal, míg a föld birtokunkban van, mert kerestük az URat, a mi Istenünket, kerestük, és ő nyugalmat adott nekünk mindenfelől. Építkezni kezdtek tehát, és sikerrel jártak.

Mert ezt mondja vala Júdának: Építsük meg a városokat és vegyük körül kerítéssel, tornyokkal, kapukkal, zárokkal, míg a föld birodalmunkban van; mert megkerestük az Urat, a mi Istenünket, megkerestük és nyugodalmat adott nékünk minden felől. Azért építének és lőn jó előmenetelök.

Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

El a zis lui Iuda: „Să zidim aceste cetăţi şi să le înconjurăm cu ziduri, cu turnuri, cu porţi şi cu zăvoare; ţara este încă a noastră, căci am căutat pe Domnul Dumnezeul nostru. L-am căutat, şi El ne-a dat odihnă din toate părţile.” Au zidit, dar, şi au izbutit.

And he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the LORD our God. We have sought him, and he has given us peace on every side.” So they built and prospered.

Ászá serege pedig háromszázezer, pajzsot és kopját viselő júdabeliből és kétszáznyolcvanezer Benjáminból való könnyűpajzsosból és íjászból állt, akik mindnyájan erős vitézek voltak.

Vala pedig az Asa serege, a mely paizst és kopját visel vala, Júdából háromszázezer; és Benjáminból paizst viselők és kézívesek kétszáznyolczvanezeren valának; mindezek erős vitézek.

And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour.

Asa avea o oştire de trei sute de mii de oameni din Iuda, care purtau scut şi suliţă, şi două sute optzeci de mii din Beniamin, care purtau scut şi trăgeau cu arcul, toţi oameni viteji.

And Asa had an army of 300,000 from Judah, armed with large shields and spears, and 280,000 men from Benjamin that carried shields and drew bows. All these were mighty men of valor.

Kivonult ellenük az etióp Zerah ezerszer ezer emberrel és háromszáz harci szekérrel, és megérkezett Márésa alá.

És kijöve ő ellenök a szerecsen Zérah, ezerszer ezer emberrel és háromszáz szekérrel, és méne Marésáig.

And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came unto Mareshah.

Zerah, etiopianul, a ieşit împotriva lor cu o oştire de un milion de oameni şi trei sute de care şi a înaintat până la Mareşa.

Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and 300 chariots, and came as far as Mareshah.

Kivonult ellene Ászá is, és viadalhoz készültek a Cefatá-völgyben, Márésa mellett.

Kiméne Asa is ő ellene, és viadalhoz készülének a Sefáta völgyben, Marésa mellett.

Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.

Asa a mers înaintea lui, şi s-au înşiruit de bătaie în valea Ţefata, lângă Mareşa.

And Asa went out to meet him, and they drew up their lines of battle in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.

Akkor így kiáltott Ászá az ÚRhoz, az ő Istenéhez: Ó, URam, nincs olyan, mint te, mert meg tudod segíteni az erőtlent a sokaság ellenében! Segíts meg minket, ó, mi URunk, Istenünk, mert benned bízunk, és a te nevedben jöttünk e sokaság ellen! Ó, URam, te vagy a mi Istenünk, ember ne vegyen rajtad erőt!

Akkor kiálta Asa az Úrhoz, az ő Istenéhez, és monda: Oh Uram, nincs különbség előtted a sok között és az erő nélkül való között, hogy megsegítsed! Segélj meg minket, oh mi Urunk Istenünk, mert benned bízunk, és a te nevedben jöttünk e sokaság ellen! oh Uram, te vagy a mi Istenünk, ne vegyen ember te rajtad erőt.

And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee.

Asa a chemat pe Domnul Dumnezeul lui şi a zis: „Doamne, numai Tu poţi veni în ajutor celui slab ca şi celui tare: vino în ajutorul nostru, Doamne Dumnezeul nostru! Căci pe Tine ne sprijinim şi în Numele Tău am venit împotriva acestei mulţimi. Doamne, Tu eşti Dumnezeul nostru: să nu iasă biruitor omul împotriva Ta!”

And Asa cried to the LORD his God, “O LORD, there is none like you to help, between the mighty and the weak. Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let not man prevail against you.”

Megverte azért az ÚR az etiópokat Ászá és Júda előtt, és elmenekültek.

Megveré azért az Úr a szerecseneket Asa és Júda előtt, és elfutának a szerecsenek.

So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.

Domnul a lovit pe etiopieni dinaintea lui Asa şi dinaintea lui Iuda, şi etiopienii au luat-o la fugă.

So the LORD defeated the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled.

Ászá seregével Gerárig üldözte őket, és elhullottak az etiópok, senki sem maradt életben közülük, mert leverettek az ÚR előtt és az ő serege előtt. És a júdaiak nagy zsákmányra tettek szert.

És üldözé őket Asa az ő seregével Gerárig, és elhullának a szerecsenek közül sokan, hogy közülök senki sem marada életben, mert leverettek az Úr előtt és az ő serege előtt; és hozának nagy zsákmányt.

And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them unto Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.

Asa şi poporul care era cu el i-a urmărit până la Gherar, şi etiopienii au căzut fără să-şi poată scăpa viaţa, căci au fost nimiciţi de Domnul şi de oştirea Lui. Asa şi poporul lui au făcut o pradă mare;

Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar, and the Ethiopians fell until none remained alive, for they were broken before the LORD and his army. The men of Judah carried away very much spoil.

Gerár környékén elpusztítottak minden várost, mert az ÚRtól való rettegés szállotta meg azokat. A városokat mind feldúlták, mivel sok zsákmány volt bennük.

És Gérár környékén elpusztítának minden várost, mert az Úrtól való rettegés szállotta meg őket. És a városokat mind feldúlták, mivelhogy sok ragadomány vala azokban.

And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.

au bătut toate cetăţile din împrejurimile Gherarului, căci groaza Domnului căzuse peste ele, şi au jefuit toate cetăţile, a căror pradă era mare.

And they attacked all the cities around Gerar, for the fear of the LORD was upon them. They plundered all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.

A jószágok szállását is lerombolták, sok juhot és tevét hajtottak el, és úgy tértek vissza Jeruzsálembe.

A barmok tanyáit is lerombolták, és sok juhot és tevét elhajtának, s úgy tértek vissza Jeruzsálembe.

They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.

Au lovit şi corturile turmelor şi au luat cu ei o mare mulţime de oi şi de cămile. Apoi s-au întors la Ierusalim.

And they struck down the tents of those who had livestock and carried away sheep in abundance and camels. Then they returned to Jerusalem.
