But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

Mert újból fölépítette a magaslatokat, amelyeket apja, Ezékiás azelőtt lerontott, és oltárokat emelt Baalnak, Asérákat is készített, és leborult az ég minden serege előtt, és szolgált nekik.

For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.

For he rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had broken down, and he erected altars to the Baals, and made Asheroth, and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them.

Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.

A fiait is elégette áldozatul a BenHinnóm-völgyben. Az idő forgását figyelte, jövendőmondást, varázslást és szemfényvesztést űzött, halottlátókat és jövendőmondókat tartott, és sok gonoszságot cselekedett az ÚR szeme előtt, hogy őt haragra indítsa.

És fiait átvitte a tűzön a Hinnom fiának völgyében; és az időnek forgására ügyelt, jövendőmondásokat, varázslásokat és szemfényvesztéseket űzött, ördöngösöket és jövendőmondókat szerzett, és sok gonoszságot cselekedett az Úr szemei előtt, hogy őt haragra indítaná.

And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

And he burned his sons as an offering in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and used fortune-telling and omens and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with necromancers. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.

Azt a bálványszobrot, amelyet csináltatott, az ÚR házában állította föl, amelyről pedig azt mondta Isten Dávidnak és fiának, Salamonnak: E házba és Jeruzsálembe helyezem nevemet mindörökre, mert ezt választottam Izráel minden törzse közül.

A faragott bálványt, a melyet csináltatott vala, az Úr házában állítá fel, a melyről azt mondá az Isten Dávidnak, és az ő fiának, Salamonnak: E házban és Jeruzsálemben, a melyet választottam az Izráel minden nemzetségei közül, helyheztetem az én nevemet mindörökké;

And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

And the carved image of the idol that he had made he set in the house of God, of which God said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my name forever,

És nem űzöm ki Izráelt e földről, melyet atyáitoknak adtam, de csak akkor, ha ők is megtartják mindazt a törvényt, mindazokat a rendelkezéseket és végzéseket, amelyeket Mózes által parancsoltam nekik.

Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.

and I will no more remove the foot of Israel from the land that I appointed for your fathers, if only they will be careful to do all that I have commanded them, all the law, the statutes, and the rules given through Moses.”

De Manassé tévelygésbe vitte Júdát és Jeruzsálem lakóit, hogy még gonoszabbul cselekedjenek, mint azok a népek, akiket az ÚR kigyomlált Izráel fiai elől.

So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to err, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

Manasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, to do more evil than the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the people of Israel.

And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.

Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.

Atunci Domnul a trimis împotriva lor pe căpeteniile oştirii împăratului Asiriei, care au prins pe Manase şi l-au pus în lanţuri. L-au legat cu lanţuri de aramă şi l-au dus la Babilon.

Therefore the LORD brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and bound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon.

Mikor aztán nagy nyomorúságban volt, az ÚRhoz, az ő Istenéhez fohászkodott, és teljesen megalázta magát atyái Istene előtt.

And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,

And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

S ő, miután könyörgött hozzá, megkönyörült rajta, és meghallgatta könyörgését, visszahozta őt Jeruzsálembe, az ő országába. Így tudta meg Manassé, hogy az ÚR az igaz Isten.

És könyörögvén hozzá megkegyelmeze néki, és meghallgatván könyörgését, visszahozá őt Jeruzsálembe, az ő országába. Akkor ismeré meg Manasse, hogy az Úr az [igaz] Isten.

And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.

He prayed to him, and God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God.

Ezek után külső várfalat épített Dávid városához Gíhóntól nyugatra a völgyben, a Hal-kapu bejáratáig. A Várhegyet is körülvette vele, magasra emelve, Júdában pedig minden megerősített városba seregvezéreket helyezett.

Ezek után a Dávid városának külső kőfalát felépíté Gihontól napnyugat felé a völgyben, a halkapu bemeneteléig; Ofelt is körülvéteté magas [kerítéssel,] és Júdának minden megerősített városaiba seregvezéreket helyeze.

Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.

După aceea, a zidit afară din cetatea lui David, la apus, spre Ghihon, în vale, un zid care se întindea până la poarta peştilor şi cu care a înconjurat dealul şi l-a făcut foarte înalt. A pus şi căpetenii de război în toate cetăţile întărite ale lui Iuda.

Afterward he built an outer wall for the city of David west of Gihon, in the valley, and for the entrance into the Fish Gate, and carried it around Ophel, and raised it to a very great height. He also put commanders of the army in all the fortified cities in Judah.

Eltávolította az ÚR házából az idegen isteneket és a bálványokat, és minden oltárt, amelyet az ÚR házának hegyén és Jeruzsálemben építtetett egykor, kidobatott a városon kívülre.

And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.

And he took away the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built on the mountain of the house of the LORD and in Jerusalem, and he threw them outside of the city.

Helyreállította az ÚR oltárát, és hálaadó és dicsőítő áldozatokat mutatott be rajta, és megparancsolta Júdának, hogy szolgáljanak az ÚRnak, Izráel Istenének.

És megépíté az Úr oltárát, és áldozék rajta hálaadó és dicsőítő áldozatokkal, és megparancsolá Júdának, hogy szolgáljanak az Úrnak, Izráel Istenének.

And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.

Manassé többi dolga pedig, Istenéhez való könyörgése, a látók intése, akik az ÚRnak, Izráel Istenének nevében szóltak neki, íme, meg vannak írva Izráel királyainak dolgai között.

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.

Gonoszul cselekedett az ÚR szemében, miként apja, Manassé is. Ámón is áldozott mindazoknak a bálványoknak, amelyeket apja, Manassé csináltatott, és azoknak szolgált.

But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;

And humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more.

And he did not humble himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself, but this Amon incurred guilt more and more.

But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.

But the people of the land struck down all those who had conspired against King Amon. And the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.
