Történt ezek után, hogy eljöttek Móáb fiai és Ammón fiai és velük más ammóniak is, hogy harcoljanak Jósáfát ellen.

És lőn ezek után, eljövének a Moáb fiai és Ammon fiai, és velök mások is az Ammoniták közül, Jósafát ellen, hogy hadakozzanak [vele.]

It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

După aceea, fiii lui Moab şi fiii lui Amon şi cu ei nişte maoniţi au pornit cu război împotriva lui Iosafat.

After this the Moabites and Ammonites, and with them some of the Meunites, came against Jehoshaphat for battle.

Amikor jött néhány hírhozó, és elmondta Jósáfátnak, hogy a tenger túlsó széléről, Arámból nagy sokaság jön ellene, és már Hacecón-Támárban, azaz Éngediben vannak,

Eljövének pedig [a hírmondók], és megmondák Jósafátnak, mondván: A tenger tulsó részéről nagy sokaság jön ellened Siriából, és már Haséson-Tamárban vannak; ez az Engedi.

Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

Au venit şi au dat de ştire lui Iosafat, zicând: „O mare mulţime înaintează împotriva ta de dincolo de mare, din Siria, şi sunt la Haţaţon-Tamar, adică En-Ghedi.”

Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, “A great multitude is coming against you from Edom, from beyond the sea; and, behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar” (that is, Engedi).

félni kezdett Jósáfát, és az URat kezdte keresni, és egész Júdában böjtöt hirdetett.

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

Then Jehoshaphat was afraid and set his face to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

Erre összegyűltek a júdaiak, hogy az ÚR segítségét kérjék. Júda összes városából eljöttek, hogy az ÚR segítségét kérjék.

Azért felgyűlének a Júdabeliek, hogy az Úr [segedelmét] keressék, Júdának minden városaiból is jövének, hogy az Urat megkeressék.

And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

Iuda s-a adunat să cheme pe Domnul şi au venit din toate cetăţile lui Iuda să caute pe Domnul.

And Judah assembled to seek help from the LORD; from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

És felállt Jósáfát Júda és Jeruzsálem gyülekezetében, az ÚR házában az új udvar előtt,

És megálla Jósafát Júda és Jeruzsálem gyülekezetiben, az Úr házában az új pitvar előtt;

And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

Iosafat a venit în mijlocul adunării lui Iuda şi a Ierusalimului, în Casa Domnului, înaintea curţii celei noi.

And Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

és ezt mondta: Ó, URam, atyáink Istene! Nem te vagy-e egyedül Isten a mennyben, aki a népek minden országán uralkodsz? A te kezedben van az erő és a hatalom, és senki sincs, aki megállhatna veled szemben.

És monda: Oh Uram, mi atyáink Istene! nem te vagy-é egyedül Isten a mennyben, a ki uralkodol a pogányoknak minden országain? A te kezedben [van] az erő és hatalom, és senki nincsen, a ki ellened megállhatna.

And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

Şi a zis: „Doamne Dumnezeul părinţilor noştri, nu eşti Tu Dumnezeu în ceruri şi nu stăpâneşti Tu peste toate împărăţiile neamurilor? Oare n-ai Tu în mână tăria şi puterea, aşa că nimeni nu Ţi se poate împotrivi?

and said, “O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.

Ó, Istenünk! Nem te űzted-e ki e föld lakóit a te néped, Izráel elől, és nem te adtad-e azt a te barátod, Ábrahám utódainak mindörökre?

Oh mi Istenünk! nem te űzéd-é ki e földnek lakóit a te néped az Izráel előtt, és nem te adád-é azt Ábrahámnak, a te barátod magvának mindörökké?

Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

Oare n-ai izgonit Tu, Dumnezeul nostru, pe locuitorii ţării acesteia dinaintea poporului Tău, Israel, şi n-ai dat-o Tu pentru totdeauna de moştenire seminţei lui Avraam care Te iubea?

Did you not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?

Itt laktak, és itt építettek szent hajlékot nevednek, és ezt mondták:

És lakának azon, és építettek azon a te nevednek szentséges hajlékot, mondván:

And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

Ei au locuit-o şi Ţi-au zidit în ea un Locaş Sfânt pentru Numele Tău, zicând:

And they have lived in it and have built for you in it a sanctuary for your name, saying,

Ha majd veszedelem jön ránk, háború, ítélet, dögvész vagy éhínség, megállunk e házban teelőtted (mert a te neved e házban van), és ha nyomorúságunkban hozzád kiáltunk, hallgass meg és szabadíts meg minket!

A mikor veszedelem jövend mi reánk, háború, ítélet, döghalál vagy éhség, megállunk e házban előtted (mert a te neved e házban van) és a mikor kiáltunk hozzád a mi nyomorúságainkban: hallgass meg és szabadíts meg [minket].

If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

„Dacă va veni peste noi vreo nenorocire, sabia, judecata, ciuma sau foametea, ne vom înfăţişa înaintea Casei acesteia şi înaintea Ta, căci Numele Tău este în Casa aceasta; vom striga către Tine din mijlocul strâmtorării noastre, şi Tu ne vei asculta şi ne vei mântui!”

‘If disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before you—for your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’

És most, íme, az ammóniak, a móábiak és a Széír hegyén lakók, akiknek földjén nem akartad, hogy átmenjenek Izráel fiai, amikor Egyiptom földjéről kijöttek, hanem mellettük mentek el, és így nem pusztították el őket;

És most ímé az Ammoniták, a Moábiták és a Seir hegyén [lakozók,] a kiknek földjén nem akarád, hogy általmenjenek az Izráel fiai, mikor Égyiptom földéből kijöttek, hanem mellettök menének el és nem pusztíták el őket;

And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

Acum iată, fiii lui Amon şi ai lui Moab şi cei din muntele Seir, la care n-ai îngăduit lui Israel să intre când venea din ţara Egiptului – căci s-a abătut de la ei şi nu i-a nimicit –

And now behold, the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade when they came from the land of Egypt, and whom they avoided and did not destroy—

íme, ezek azzal fizetnek nekünk, hogy ellenünk jönnek, hogy kiűzzenek a te örökségedből, amelyet örökségül adtál nekünk.

Ímé ezért azzal fizetnek nékünk, hogy ellenünk jönnek, hogy kiűzzenek a te örökségedből, melyet örökségül adtál nékünk.

Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.

iată-i cum ne răsplătesc acum, venind să ne izgonească din moştenirea Ta, pe care ne-ai dat-o în stăpânire!

behold, they reward us by coming to drive us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.

Ó, Istenünk, nem ítéled meg őket? Mert nincs bennünk erő e nagy sokasággal szemben, amely ellenünk támad. Nem tudjuk, mit tegyünk, hanem csak terád néz a szemünk.

Oh mi Istenünk, nem ítéled-é meg őket? Mert nincsen mi bennünk erő e nagy sokasággal szemben, mely ellenünk jön. Nem tudjuk, mit cselekedjünk, hanem csak te reád [néznek] a mi szemeink.

O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

O, Dumnezeul nostru, nu-i vei judeca Tu pe ei? Căci noi suntem fără putere înaintea acestei mari mulţimi care înaintează împotriva noastră şi nu ştim ce să facem, dar ochii noştri sunt îndreptaţi spre Tine!”

O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

És az egész Júda ott állt az ÚR előtt, gyermekeikkel, feleségeikkel és fiaikkal együtt.

És a Júdabeliek mindnyájan állanak vala az Úr előtt, gyermekeikkel, feleségeikkel és fiaikkal egyetemben.

And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

Tot Iuda stătea în picioare înaintea Domnului, cu pruncii, nevestele şi fiii lor.

Meanwhile all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

Akkor rászállt az ÚR lelke a gyülekezet körében Jahaziélre, aki Zekarjáhú fia, aki Benájá fia, az Jeiél fia, az Mattanjá fia, Ászáf fiai közül való lévita volt,

Akkor Jaházielre, a Zakariás fiára (ki Benája fia, ki Jéhiel fia, ki Mattániás fia vala, és az Asáf fia közül való Lévita vala) az Úrnak lelke szálla, a gyülekezet közepette,

Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;

Atunci Duhul Domnului a venit în mijlocul adunării peste Iahaziel, fiul lui Zaharia, fiul lui Benaia, fiul lui Ieiel, fiul lui Matania, levitul, dintre fiii lui Asaf.

And the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.

és azt mondta: Mindnyájan, akik Júdában és Jeruzsálemben laktok, és te, Jósáfát király, halljátok meg szavamat! Így szól nektek az ÚR: Ne féljetek és ne rettegjetek e nagy sokaságtól, mert nem ti harcoltok velük, hanem Isten.

És monda: Mindnyájan, a kik Júdában és Jeruzsálemben lakoztok, és te Jósafát király, halljátok meg szómat! Így szól az Úr néktek: Ne féljetek és ne rettegjetek e nagy sokaság miatt; mert nem ti harczoltok velök, hanem az Isten.

And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

Şi Iahaziel a zis: „Ascultaţi, tot Iuda şi locuitorii din Ierusalim, şi tu, împărate Iosafat! Aşa vă vorbeşte Domnul: „Nu vă temeţi şi nu vă înspăimântaţi dinaintea acestei mari mulţumi, căci nu voi veţi lupta, ci Dumnezeu.

And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.

Holnap szálljatok szembe velük! Íme, ők a Cíc-hágón vonulnak majd fel, és rájuk találtok a völgy szélénél, Jerúél pusztájával szemben.

To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

Mâine coborâţi-vă împotriva lor. Ei se vor sui pe dealul Ţiţ, şi-i veţi găsi la capătul văii, în faţa pustiului Ieruel.

Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz. You will find them at the end of the valley, east of the wilderness of Jeruel.

Nem is kell nektek harcolnotok, hanem csak álljatok veszteg, és meglátjátok, hogyan szabadít meg titeket az ÚR. Júda és Jeruzsálem! Ne féljetek és ne rettegjetek! Holnap vonuljatok ellenük, mert veletek lesz az ÚR!

Nem kell néktek harczolnotok, [hanem csak] álljatok veszteg, és lássátok az Úrnak szabadítását rajtatok. Júda és Jeruzsálem, ne féljetek és ne rettegjetek! Holnap menjetek ellenök, mert az Úr veletek lesz.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Nu veţi avea de luptat în lupta aceasta: aşezaţi-vă, staţi acolo şi veţi vedea izbăvirea pe care v-o va da Domnul. Iuda şi Ierusalim, nu vă temeţi şi nu vă înspăimântaţi; mâine, ieşiţi-le înainte, şi Domnul va fi cu voi!”

You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the LORD will be with you.”

Ekkor Jósáfát arcra borult a földön, és Júda és Jeruzsálem lakói is mindnyájan leborultak az ÚR színe előtt, és imádták az URat.

Akkor Jósafát meghajtá fejét a föld felé, s Júda és Jeruzsálem lakói leborulának az Úr előtt és imádák az Urat.

And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

Iosafat s-a plecat cu faţa la pământ, şi tot Iuda şi locuitorii Ierusalimului s-au aruncat înaintea Domnului să se închine înaintea Lui.

Then Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD, worshiping the LORD.

A kehátiak és a kórahiak fiai közül való léviták pedig fölálltak, hogy az URat, Izráel Istenét nagy fennszóval dicsérjék.

A Kéhátiták fiai közül és a Kóriták fiai közül való Léviták pedig felállának, hogy az Urat, Izráel Istenét nagy felszóval dícsérjék.

And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

Leviţii dintre fiii chehatiţilor şi dintre fiii coreiţilor s-au sculat şi au lăudat cu glas tare şi puternic pe Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel.

And the Levites, of the Kohathites and the Korahites, stood up to praise the LORD, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.

És kora reggel fölkészültek, és kivonultak Tekóa pusztájába. Amikor kiindultak onnan, Jósáfát megállt, és azt mondta: Halljátok meg szavamat, Júda és Jeruzsálem lakói! Bízzatok az ÚRban, a ti Istenetekben, és megerősít titeket. Bízzatok prófétáiban, és szerencsések lesztek!

És reggel felkészülvén, kimenének a Tékoa pusztájára; és mikor kiindulnának [onnan,] megálla Jósafát, és monda: Halljátok meg szómat, Júda és Jeruzsálemben lakozók! Bízzatok az Úrban a ti Istentekben, és megerősíttettek; bízzatok az ő prófétáiban, és szerencsések lesztek!

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

A doua zi, au pornit dis-de-dimineaţă spre pustiul Tecoa. La plecarea lor, Iosafat a venit şi a zis: „Ascultaţi-mă, Iuda şi locuitorii Ierusalimului! Încredeţi-vă în Domnul Dumnezeul vostru, şi veţi fi întăriţi; încredeţi-vă în prorocii Lui, şi veţi izbuti.”

And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed.”

Majd miután tanácsot tartott a néppel, előállította az ÚR énekeseit, hogy dicsérjék őt szent öltözetben a sereg előtt menve, és énekeljék: Adjatok hálát az ÚRnak, mert örökkévaló az ő irgalmassága.

Tanácsot tartván pedig a néppel, előállítá az Úr énekeseit, hogy dícsérjék a szentség ékességét, a sereg előtt menvén, és mondják: Tiszteljétek az Urat, mert örökkévaló az ő irgalmassága;

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

Apoi, în învoire cu poporul, a numit nişte cântăreţi care, îmbrăcaţi cu podoabe sfinte şi mergând înaintea oştirii, lăudau pe Domnul şi ziceau: „Lăudaţi pe Domnul, căci îndurarea Lui ţine în veac!”

And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the LORD and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever.”

És amint elkezdték az éneklést és a dicséretet, az ÚR ellenségeskedést szerzett az Ammón fiai és a Móábiak és a Széír hegyén lakók között, akik Júda ellen jöttek, és vereséget szenvedtek.

És a mint elkezdették az éneklést és a dícséretet: az Úr ellenséget szerze az Ammon fiai és a Moábiták és a Seir hegyén [lakozók] ellen, a kik Júdára jövének, és megverettetének.

And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

În clipa când au început cântările şi laudele, Domnul a pus o pândă împotriva fiilor lui Amon şi ai lui Moab şi împotriva celor din muntele Seir, care veniseră împotriva lui Iuda. Şi au fost bătuţi.

And when they began to sing and praise, the LORD set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.

Mert az Ammón és Móáb fiai a Széír hegyén lakók ellen támadtak, hogy levágják és elveszítsék őket. És miután a Széír hegyén lakókat mind elpusztították, egymás pusztulását segítették elő.

Mert az Ammon és a Moáb fiai a Seir hegyén lakozók ellen támadának, hogy őket levágnák és elvesztenék; és mikor mind elvesztették a Seir hegyén lakozókat, azután egymás elpusztítását segítették elő.

For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they all helped to destroy one another.

Mire Júda népe a pusztai kilátóhelyhez érkezett, és a sokaság felé fordult, íme, csak elesett holttestek voltak a földön, és senki sem menekült meg.

And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

Când a ajuns Iuda pe înălţimea de unde se zăreşte pustiul, s-au uitat înspre mulţime, şi iată că ei erau nişte trupuri moarte întinse pe pământ, şi nimeni nu scăpase.

When Judah came to the watchtower of the wilderness, they looked toward the horde, and behold, there were dead bodies lying on the ground; none had escaped.

Akkor odament Jósáfát és hadinépe, hogy zsákmányoljanak. Tömérdek kincset találtak náluk és a holttesteken drága szép ruhákat, melyeket lefosztottak róluk, olyan sokat, hogy alig bírták elvinni. Harmadnapig szedték a zsákmányt, mert igen sok volt.

Akkor elméne Jósafát és az ő népe, hogy azoknak jószágait megzsákmányolják, és találának nálok temérdek gazdagságot és a holttesteken drága szép ruhákat, melyeket lefosztának [rólok,] oly sokat, hogy alig vihették el, és harmadnapig kapdosták a zsákmányt, mert felette sok vala.

And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

Iosafat şi poporul său s-au dus să ia prăzile; au găsit printre trupuri multe bogăţii şi lucruri scumpe şi au luat atât de multe că n-au putut să le ducă pe toate. Trei zile au prădat, căci era multă pradă.

When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take their spoil, they found among them, in great numbers, goods, clothing, and precious things, which they took for themselves until they could carry no more. They were three days in taking the spoil, it was so much.

Negyednapon pedig az Áldás-völgyben gyűltek össze, hogy ott áldják az URat. Ezért nevezik azt a helyet Áldás-völgynek mindmáig.

Negyednapra pedig gyűlének a hálaadásnak völgyébe, mivel az Úrnak ott adának hálákat; azért azt a helyet hálaadás völgyének nevezék mind e mai napig.

And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

A patra zi, s-au strâns în valea Beraca unde au binecuvântat pe Domnul; de aceea au numit locul acesta valea Beraca, nume care i-a rămas până în ziua de azi.

On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, for there they blessed the LORD. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Beracah to this day.

Azután Júda és Jeruzsálem egész népe fejedelmükkel, Jósáfáttal együtt visszatért Jeruzsálembe nagy örömmel, mert örömet szerzett nekik az ÚR ellenségeik fölött.

Megtére azért Júdának és Jeruzsálemnek egész népe Jósafáttal, az ő fejedelmökkel egybe, hogy visszamenjen Jeruzsálembe nagy örömmel; mert az Úr megvigasztalta vala őket az ő ellenségeik felett.

Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.

Toţi oamenii din Iuda şi din Ierusalim, în frunte cu Iosafat, au plecat veseli şi s-au întors la Ierusalim, căci Domnul îi umpluse de bucurie, izbăvindu-i de vrăjmaşii lor.

Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat at their head, returning to Jerusalem with joy, for the LORD had made them rejoice over their enemies.

And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.

Így megnyugodott Jósáfát országa, mert Isten nyugalmat adott neki mindenfelől.

Megnyugovék azért a Jósafát országa, és békességet ada néki az ő Istene minden felől.

So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

Şi împărăţia lui Iosafat a fost liniştită, şi Dumnezeul lui i-a dat pace de jur împrejur.

Így uralkodott Jósáfát Júdában. Harmincöt esztendős volt, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és huszonöt esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyja neve Azúbá volt, Silhi leánya.

És uralkodék Jósafát Júda felett. Harminczöt esztendős vala, mikor uralkodni kezde, és uralkodék Jeruzsálemben huszonöt esztendeig; és az ő anyjának neve Azuba vala, a Silhi leánya.

And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

Iosafat a domnit peste Iuda. Avea treizeci şi cinci de ani când a ajuns împărat şi a domnit douăzeci şi cinci de ani la Ierusalim. Mama sa se chema Azuba, fata lui Şilhi.

Thus Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

Apjának, Ászának az útján járt, nem tért le róla. Azt cselekedte, ami kedves az ÚR szemében.

And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

Jósáfát egyéb dolgai pedig elejétől végig, íme, meg vannak írva Jéhúnak, Hanáni fiának történeteiben, amelyeket fölvettek az Izráel királyairól szóló könyvbe.

Jósafátnak pedig első és utolsó dolgai ímé meg vannak írva Jéhunak, a Hanáni fiának könyvében, a ki azokat beírta az Izráel királyainak könyvébe.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

Celelalte fapte ale lui Iosafat, cele dintâi şi cele de pe urmă, sunt scrise în istoria lui Iehu, fiul lui Hanani, care este cuprinsă în cartea împăraţilor lui Israel.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, from first to last, are written in the chronicles of Jehu the son of Hanani, which are recorded in the Book of the Kings of Israel.

And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:

După aceea, Iosafat, împăratul lui Iuda, s-a unit cu împăratul lui Israel, Ahazia, a cărui purtare era nelegiuită.

After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined with Ahaziah king of Israel, who acted wickedly.

Mégis összebarátkozott vele, hogy hajókat készítsenek, amelyeken Tarsísba mehetnek. A hajókat Ecjón-Geberben készítették.

Mindazáltal vele megbarátkozék, hogy hajókat készítenének, melyeken Társisba mennének; és a hajókat Esiongáberben készíték.

And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.

He joined him in building ships to go to Tarshish, and they built the ships in Ezion-geber.

Ezért Eliezer, a márésai Dódaváhú fia így prófétált Jósáfát ellen: Mivel Ahazjával társultál, az ÚR megsemmisíti munkádat. És a hajók mind össze is törtek, és nem jutottak el Tarsísba.

Jövendöle azért Eliézer, a Maresából való Dódava fia Jósafát ellen, mondván: Minthogy megbarátkozál Akháziával, az Úr megsemmisíti a te munkádat. És a hajók mind összetörének, és nem mehetének Társisba.

Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

Atunci Eliezer, fiul lui Dodava din Mareşa, a prorocit împotriva lui Iosafat şi a zis: „Pentru că te-ai unit cu Ahazia, Domnul îţi nimiceşte lucrarea.” Şi corăbiile au fost sfărâmate şi n-au putut să se ducă la Tarsis.

Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have joined with Ahaziah, the LORD will destroy what you have made.” And the ships were wrecked and were not able to go to Tarshish.
