Jósáfátnak nagy volt a gazdagsága és a dicsősége. És Aháb sógorává lett.

Jósafátnak nagy gazdagsága és dicsősége vala. Ő sógorságot szerze Akhábbal.

Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.

Iosafat a avut bogăţii şi slavă din belşug şi s-a încuscrit cu Ahab.

Now Jehoshaphat had great riches and honor, and he made a marriage alliance with Ahab.

Néhány esztendő múlva lement Ahábhoz Samáriába, és Aháb sok juhot és ökröt vágatott le neki és a vele való népnek, és rávette őt, hogy vonuljon vele Rámót-Gileád ellen.

[Néhány] esztendő mulva aláméne Akhábhoz Samariába, és levágatott Akháb az ő és a vele való nép számára sok juhot és ökröt, és rávette őt, hogy felmenjen vele Rámóth Gileádba.

And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramothgilead.

După câţiva ani s-a coborât la Ahab în Samaria. Ahab a tăiat, pentru el şi pentru poporul care era cu el, un mare număr de oi şi boi şi l-a rugat să se suie la Ramot din Galaad.

After some years he went down to Ahab in Samaria. And Ahab killed an abundance of sheep and oxen for him and for the people who were with him, and induced him to go up against Ramoth-gilead.

Mert azt mondta Aháb, Izráel királya Jósáfátnak, Júda királyának: Feljössz-e velem Rámót-Gileádba? Ő ezt felelte neki: Fölmegyek, ahogy te, és az én népem is, ahogy a te néped, és együtt leszünk a harcban!

And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.

Ahab, împăratul lui Israel, a zis lui Iosafat, împăratul lui Iuda: „Vrei să vii cu mine la Ramot în Galaad?” Iosafat i-a răspuns: „Eu ca tine, şi poporul meu ca poporul tău, vom merge la luptă împotriva lui cu tine.”

Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead?” He answered him, “I am as you are, my people as your people. We will be with you in the war.”

De Jósáfát azt mondta Izráel királyának: Kérdezd meg még ma az ÚR szavát!

Azután monda Jósafát az Izráel királyának: Kérdezősködjél még ma az Úr beszéde után.

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

Apoi Iosafat a zis împăratului lui Israel: „Întreabă acum, te rog, cuvântul Domnului.”

And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “Inquire first for the word of the LORD.”

Izráel királya azért összegyűjtötte a prófétákat, mintegy négyszáz férfit, és megkérdezte őket: Elmenjünk-e Rámót-Gileád ellen hadba, vagy letegyek róla? Ők így feleltek: Menj el, mert Isten a király kezébe adja azt!

És összegyűjté az Izráel királya a prófétákat, mintegy négyszáz férfiút, és monda nékik: Elmenjünk-é Rámóth Gileád ellen hadba, vagy elhagyjam? Felelének: Menj el, és az Isten a király kezébe adja.

Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king's hand.

Împăratul lui Israel a strâns pe proroci, în număr de patru sute, şi le-a zis: „Să ne ducem la luptă împotriva Ramotului din Galaad sau să-mi văd de treabă?” Şi ei au răspuns: „Suie-te, şi Dumnezeu o va da în mâinile împăratului.”

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, “Shall we go to battle against Ramoth-gilead, or shall I refrain?” And they said, “Go up, for God will give it into the hand of the king.”

Jósáfát azonban azt mondta: Nincs-e itt több prófétája az ÚRnak, hogy azoktól is tudakozódhatnánk?

És monda Jósafát: Nincsen-é itt több prófétája az Úrnak, hogy attól [is] tudakozódhatnánk?

But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

Dar Iosafat a zis: „Nu mai este aici niciun proroc al Domnului prin care să-L putem întreba?”

But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not here another prophet of the LORD of whom we may inquire?”

Izráel királya azt felelte Jósáfátnak: Van még egy férfi, aki által megkérdezhetjük az URat, de én gyűlölöm őt, mert soha nem jövendöl nekem jót, hanem mindig csak rosszat. Míkájehú, Jimlá fia az. Jósáfát erre így szólt: Ne beszéljen így a király!

És monda az Izráel királya Jósafátnak: Van még egy férfiú, a ki által az Urat megkérdezhetjük, de én gyűlölöm őt, mert soha nem jövendöl nékem jót, hanem mindig csak rosszat; ez Mikeás, a Jimla fia. És monda Jósafát: Ne beszéljen így a király!

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

Împăratul lui Israel a răspuns lui Iosafat: „Mai este un om prin care am putea să întrebăm pe Domnul; dar îl urăsc, căci nu-mi proroceşte nimic bun, nu proroceşte niciodată decât rău: este Mica, fiul lui Imla.” Şi Iosafat a zis: „Să nu vorbească aşa împăratul!”

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the LORD, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil.” And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say so.”

Előszólította Izráel királya az egyik szolgáját, és azt mondta neki: Hamar hívd ide Míkájehút, Jimlá fiát!

And the king of Israel called for one of his officers, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.

Atunci împăratul lui Israel a chemat un dregător şi i-a zis: „Trimite să vină îndată Mica, fiul lui Imla.”

Then the king of Israel summoned an officer and said, “Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah.”

Izráel királya és Jósáfát, Júda királya pedig ott ült, mindegyik a trónján, díszruhába öltözötten. Ott ültek Samária kapuja előtt a térségen, és a próféták mind prófétáltak őelőttük.

És az Izráel királya és Jósafát, a Júda királya ott ülnek vala, kiki az ő királyiszékében, [királyi] ruhákba öltözötten; ott ülnek vala Samaria kapuja előtt, a térségen; és a próféták mind prófétálnak vala ő előttök.

And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

Împăratul lui Israel şi Iosafat, împăratul lui Iuda, şedeau fiecare pe scaunul lui de domnie, îmbrăcaţi cu hainele lor împărăteşti; şedeau în locul de la intrarea porţii Samariei. Şi toţi prorocii proroceau înaintea lor.

Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah were sitting on their thrones, arrayed in their robes. And they were sitting at the threshing floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets were prophesying before them.

Cidkijjáhú, Kenaaná fia vasszarvakat készített magának, és azt mondta: Azt mondja az ÚR: „Ezekkel ökleled Arámot, míg el nem pusztítod őket!”

Csináltatott vala pedig magának Sédékiás, a Kénaána fia vasszarvakat, és monda: Ezt mondja az Úr: Ezekkel ökleled a Siriabelieket, mígnem megemészted őket!

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed.

Zedechia, fiul lui Chenaana, îşi făcuse nişte coarne de fier şi a zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Cu aceste coarne vei bate pe sirieni până îi vei nimici.”

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for himself horns of iron and said, “Thus says the LORD, ‘With these you shall push the Syrians until they are destroyed.’”

A többi próféta is mind így jövendölt: Vonulj fel Rámót-Gileád ellen, szerencsés leszel, mert az ÚR a király kezébe adja azt.

A többi próféták is mind ekképen jövendöltek, mondván: Menj fel Rámóth Gileád ellen, szerencsés leszel; mert azt az Úr a király kezébe adja.

And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

Şi toţi prorocii au prorocit la fel, zicând: „Suie-te la Ramot în Galaad, căci vei avea izbândă, şi Domnul o va da în mâinile împăratului.”

And all the prophets prophesied so and said, “Go up to Ramoth-gilead and triumph. The LORD will give it into the hand of the king.”

A követ pedig, aki elment, hogy elhívja Míkájehút, azt mondta neki: Íme, a próféták egyenlő akarattal jót jövendölnek a királynak. Szólj te is, kérlek, úgy, mint bármelyikük, és jövendölj jót!

And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of their's, and speak thou good.

Solul care se dusese să cheme pe Mica i-a vorbit aşa: „Iată, prorocii cu un gând prorocesc de bine împăratului; cuvântul tău să fie, dar, ca şi cuvântul fiecăruia din ei! Vesteşte de bine!”

And the messenger who went to summon Micaiah said to him, “Behold, the words of the prophets with one accord are favorable to the king. Let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak favorably.”

Erre Míkájehú így szólt: Él az ÚR, hogy csak azt fogom mondani, amit az én Istenem mond nekem.

Akkor monda Mikeás: Él az Úr, hogy [csak] azt fogom mondani, a mit az én Istenem nékem mondánd!

And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.

Mica a răspuns: „Viu este Domnul că voi vesti ce va spune Dumnezeul meu.”

But Micaiah said, “As the LORD lives, what my God says, that I will speak.”

Amikor a király elé jutott, a király ezt kérdezte tőle: Míkájehú! Elmenjünk-e harcolni Rámót-Gileád ellen, vagy tegyek le róla? Ő így felelt: Vonuljatok fel, és jó szerencsétek lesz, kezetekbe fog kerülni!

Mikor azért a király elé jutott, akkor monda a király néki: Mikeás! elmenjünk-é Rámóth Gileád ellen hadba, vagy elhagyjam? És monda: Menjetek el, és jó szerencsétek leszen, kezetekbe adattatnak azok.

And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.

Când a venit la împărat, împăratul i-a zis: „Mica, să ne ducem la luptă împotriva Ramotului din Galaad sau să-mi văd de treabă?” El a răspuns: „Suiţi-vă! Căci veţi avea izbândă, şi vor fi daţi în mâinile voastre.”

And when he had come to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I refrain?” And he answered, “Go up and triumph; they will be given into your hand.”

Akkor a király ezt mondta neki: Hányszor eskesselek meg, hogy semmi mást ne mondj nekem az ÚR nevében, csak az igazat?

És monda a király néki: Hányszor esküdtesselek meg téged, hogy az igaznál egyebet ne mondj nékem az Úr nevében?

And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?

Şi împăratul i-a zis: „De câte ori va trebui să te pun să juri că nu-mi vei spune decât adevărul în Numele Domnului?”

But the king said to him, “How many times shall I make you swear that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the LORD?”

Ekkor így felelt: Láttam egész Izráelt elszéledve a hegyeken, mint egy nyájat, amelynek nincs pásztora. Az ÚR pedig ezt mondta: Nincsen ezeknek uruk. Térjen haza ki-ki békességben.

Akkor monda: Látám az egész Izráelt elszéledve a hegyeken, mint a juhokat, melyeknek pásztoruk nincsen. És azt mondá az Úr: Nincsen ezeknek urok. Térjen meg kiki az ő házához békességben.

Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.

Mica a răspuns: „Văd tot Israelul risipit pe munţi ca nişte oi care n-au păstor; şi Domnul a zis: „Oamenii aceştia n-au stăpân, fiecare să se întoarcă în pace acasă!”

And he said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And the LORD said, ‘These have no master; let each return to his home in peace.’”

Ekkor Izráel királya így szólt Jósáfáthoz: Nem megmondtam, hogy nem fog nekem jót jövendölni, hanem rosszat?

És monda az Izráel királya Jósafátnak: Nemde nem megmondottam-é, hogy nem fog nékem jót jövendölni, hanem rosszat?

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?

Împăratul lui Israel a zis lui Iosafat: „Nu ţi-am spus eu? El nu-mi proroceşte nimic bun, nu-mi proroceşte decât rău.”

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”

Ő ismét így szólt: Halljátok meg azért az ÚR szavát. Láttam az URat a trónján ülni, és az egész mennyei sereget jobb és bal keze felől mellette állni.

Ismét monda: Halljátok meg azért az Úr szavát. Látám az Urat ülni az ő királyiszékében, és az egész mennyei sereget jobb és balkeze felől mellette állani.

Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

Şi Mica a zis: „Ascultaţi, dar, cuvântul Domnului! Am văzut pe Domnul stând pe scaunul Său de domnie, şi toată oastea cerurilor stând la dreapta şi la stânga Lui.

And Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.

És ezt mondta az ÚR: Ki szedi rá Ahábot, Izráel királyát, hogy fölvonuljon és elvesszen Rámót-Gileádnál? De ki ezt, ki azt mondott.

És monda az Úr: Kicsoda csalja meg Akhábot, az Izráel királyát, hogy felmenjen és elveszszen Rámóth Gileádban? És ki egyet, ki mást szóla.

And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.

Şi Domnul a zis: „Cine va amăgi pe Ahab, împăratul lui Israel, ca să se suie la Ramot în Galaad şi să piară acolo?” Au răspuns unul într-un fel, altul, într-altul.

And the LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab the king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ And one said one thing, and another said another.

Akkor előlépett egy lélek, megállt az ÚR előtt, és így szólt: Én akarom rászedni őt. Az ÚR pedig ezt kérdezte: Hogyan?

Akkor eljöve egy lélek, a ki megállván az Úr előtt, monda: Én akarom megcsalni őt. Az Úr pedig monda néki: Mimódon?

Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?

Şi un duh a venit şi s-a înfăţişat înaintea Domnului, şi a zis: „Eu îl voi amăgi.” Domnul i-a zis: „Cum?”

Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, saying, ‘I will entice him.’ And the LORD said to him, ‘By what means?’

Ő így felelt: Kimegyek, és hazug lélek leszek minden prófétája szájában. Az ÚR így szólt: Így bizonnyal rá tudod szedni; menj, és cselekedjél úgy!

És felele: Kimegyek és leszek hazug lélek az ő összes prófétái szájában. Monda azért: Csald meg és győzd meg, menj ki és cselekedjél úgy.

And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.

„Voi ieşi”, a răspuns el, „şi voi fi un duh de minciună în gura tuturor prorocilor lui.” Domnul a zis: „Îl vei amăgi şi vei izbuti; ieşi şi fă aşa.”

And he said, ‘I will go out, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And he said, ‘You are to entice him, and you shall succeed; go out and do so.’

Íme, azért most az ÚR adta a hazugság lelkét prófétáid szájába, és az ÚR kimondta vesztedet.

Ímé azért most az Úr adta a hazugságnak lelkét ezen te prófétáid szájába, és az Úr szólott veszedelmes dolgot ellened.

Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.

Şi acum, iată că Domnul a pus un duh de minciună în gura prorocilor tăi care sunt de faţă. Dar Domnul a vorbit rău împotriva ta.”

Now therefore behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets. The LORD has declared disaster concerning you.”

Akkor odalépett Cidkijjáhú, a Kenaaná fia, s arcon csapta Míkájehút, és azt mondta: Talán eltávozott az ÚR lelke tőlem, hogy csak neked szólna?

Akkor oda lépett Sédékiás, a Kénaána fia, s arczul csapá Mikeást, és monda: Melyik úton távozott el az Úrnak lelke tőlem, hogy csak néked szólana?

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

Atunci Zedechia, fiul lui Chenaana, apropiindu-se, a lovit pe Mica peste obraz şi a zis: „Pe ce drum a ieşit Duhul Domnului din mine ca să-ţi vorbească?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said, “Which way did the Spirit of the LORD go from me to speak to you?”

Míkájehú így felelt: Íme, majd meglátod azt te magad azon a napon, amikor egyik szobából a másik szobába mész, hogy elrejtőzhessél.

Felele Mikeás: Ímé meglátod magad azon a napon, a mikor egyik kamarából a másik kamarába mégy, hogy elrejtőzhessél.

And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.

Mica a răspuns: „Vei vedea în ziua când vei umbla din odaie în odaie ca să te ascunzi.”

And Micaiah said, “Behold, you shall see on that day when you go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.”

Akkor ezt parancsolta Izráel királya: Fogjátok meg Míkájehút és vigyétek Ámónhoz, a város vezetőjéhez és Jóáshoz, a király fiához,

Akkor monda az Izráel királya: Fogjátok meg Mikeást, és vigyétek Amonhoz, a város fejedelméhez, és Joáshoz, a király fiához.

Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;

Împăratul lui Israel a zis: „Luaţi pe Mica şi duceţi-l la Amon, căpetenia cetăţii, şi la Ioas, fiul împăratului.

And the king of Israel said, “Seize Micaiah and take him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son,

és mondjátok: „Azt parancsolja a király: Vessétek tömlöcbe és tápláljátok őt a nyomorúság kenyerével és vizével, míg békességgel megjövök.”

És mondjátok: Ezt mondja a király: Vessétek őt a tömlöczbe, s tápláljátok őt a nyomorúság kenyerével és a nyomorúság vizével, míg békességgel megjövök.

And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.

Şi spuneţi: „Aşa vorbeşte împăratul: „Băgaţi pe omul acesta în temniţă şi hrăniţi-l cu pâinea şi cu apa întristării, până mă voi întoarce în pace.”

and say, ‘Thus says the king, Put this fellow in prison and feed him with meager rations of bread and water until I return in peace.’”

Míkájehú ezt felelte: Ha békével térsz vissza, akkor nem az ÚR szólt általam. Majd azt mondta: Hallja meg ezt az egész nép!

És monda Mikeás: Ha békével térsz vissza, akkor nem az Úr szólott én általam. Ismét monda: Halljátok meg minden népek!

And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.

Şi Mica a zis: „Dacă te vei întoarce în pace, n-a vorbit Domnul prin mine!” Apoi a mai zis: „Voi, toate popoarele, auziţi!”

And Micaiah said, “If you return in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me.” And he said, “Hear, all you peoples!”

És fölvonult Izráel királya és Jósáfát, Júda királya Rámót-Gileád ellen.

És felvonult az Izráel királya és Jósafát a Júda királya Rámóth Gileád ellen.

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.

Împăratul lui Israel şi Iosafat, împăratul lui Iuda, s-au suit la Ramot în Galaad.

So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.

Izráel királya azt mondta Jósáfátnak: Én álruhába öltözöm, és úgy megyek a harcba. Te pedig öltözz a saját ruhádba. Majd álruhába öltözött Izráel királya, és úgy mentek a harcba.

És monda az Izráel királya Jósafátnak: Ruhámat megváltoztatom, és úgy megyek a viadalra; te pedig öltözzél fel ruhádba. És megváltoztatá az Izráel királya az ő ruháját, és menének viadalra.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and I will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.

Împăratul lui Israel a zis lui Iosafat: „Vreau să-mi schimb hainele, ca să mă duc la luptă; dar tu, îmbracă-te cu hainele tale.” Şi împăratul lui Israel şi-a schimbat hainele, şi s-au dus la luptă.

And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself and go into battle, but you wear your robes.” And the king of Israel disguised himself, and they went into battle.

Arám királya pedig meghagyta harci szekerei parancsnokainak: Ne harcoljatok se kicsiny, se nagy ellen, hanem csak Izráel királya ellen.

Siria királya pedig meghagyta vala az ő szekerei fejedelmeinek, mondván: Ne harczoljatok se kicsiny, se nagy ellen, hanem csak az Izráel királya ellen.

Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that were with him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great, save only with the king of Israel.

Împăratul Siriei dăduse următoarea poruncă mai marilor peste carele lui: „Să nu vă luptaţi nici cu cel mic, nici cu cel mare, ci să vă luptaţi numai cu împăratul lui Israel.”

Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, “Fight with neither small nor great, but only with the king of Israel.”

Amikor a harci szekerek parancsnokai meglátták Jósáfátot, azt gondolták, hogy ő Izráel királya. És körülfogták őt, hogy megtámadják. Akkor felkiáltott Jósáfát, és az ÚR megsegítette, és Isten eltérítette őket tőle.

És a mikor meglátták a szekerek fejedelmei Jósafátot, mondának: Ez az Izráel királya! És körülfogták őt, hogy legyőzzék. Akkor felkiálta Jósafát, és az Úr megsegéllé őt, és az Isten azokat elfordítá tőle;

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them to depart from him.

Când au zărit mai marii carelor pe Iosafat, au zis: „Este împăratul lui Israel.” Şi l-au înconjurat ca să lupte cu el. Iosafat a scos un ţipăt. Domnul l-a ajutat, şi Dumnezeu i-a îndepărtat de la el.

As soon as the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “It is the king of Israel.” So they turned to fight against him. And Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; God drew them away from him.

For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.

Mai marii carelor, văzând că nu era împăratul lui Israel, s-au depărtat de el.

For as soon as the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back from pursuing him.

Egy férfi pedig csak úgy találomra kifeszítette íját, és eltalálta Izráel királyát a páncél és a kapocs között. Erre ő megparancsolta a kocsisának: Fordulj meg, és vigyél ki a táborból, mert megsebesültem.

Egy férfi pedig kifeszíté kézívét csak úgy találomra, és találá az Izráel királyát a pánczél és a kapocs között. És ő monda az ő kocsisának: Fordulj meg, és vígy ki engem a táborból, mert megsebesültem.

And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.

Atunci un om a tras cu arcul la întâmplare şi a lovit pe împăratul lui Israel între încheieturile armăturii. Împăratul a zis celui ce-i mâna carul: „Întoarce şi scoate-mă din câmpul de bătaie, căci sunt rănit.”

But a certain man drew his bow at random and struck the king of Israel between the scale armor and the breastplate. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around and carry me out of the battle, for I am wounded.”

De az ütközet egyre erősebb lett azon a napon, és Izráel királyának a szekerében kellett állnia az arámokkal szemben estig, és naplementekor meghalt.

És az ütközet mind erősebb lett azon a napon, és az Izráel királya az ő szekerében állott a Siriabeliek ellen estvéig, és naplementekor meghala.

And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about the time of the sun going down he died.

Lupta a fost înverşunată în ziua aceea. Împăratul lui Israel a stat în car, în faţa sirienilor, până seara, şi a murit pe la apusul soarelui.

And the battle continued that day, and the king of Israel was propped up in his chariot facing the Syrians until evening. Then at sunset he died.
