Azt mondta azért Dávid Jóábnak és a hadinép elöljáróinak: Menjetek el, számláljátok meg Izráelt Beérsebától Dánig, és hozzátok hozzám az eredményt, hadd tudjam meg a számukat.

Monda azért Dávid Joábnak és a nép előljáróinak: Menjetek el, számláljátok meg Izráelt, Beersebától fogva Dánig: és hozzátok hozzám, hadd tudjam számát.

And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.

Şi David a zis lui Ioab şi căpeteniilor poporului: „Duceţi-vă de faceţi numărătoarea lui Israel, de la Beer-Şeba până la Dan, şi spuneţi-mi, ca să ştiu la cât se ridică numărul poporului.”

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army, “Go, number Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, and bring me a report, that I may know their number.”

Akkor azt mondta Jóáb: Szaporítsa meg népét az ÚR százannyira, mint amennyi most. Hát nem mindannyian a te szolgáid-e azok, uram, királyom? Miért kutatja ezt az én uram? Miért bűnhődjék hát ezért Izráel?

Akkor monda Joáb: Az Úr száz ennyivel szaporítsa meg az ő népét, a mennyien vannak. Avagy nem mind a te szolgáid-é azok, uram, király? S miért tudakozza ezt az én uram? Miért lenne Izráelnek büntetésére.

And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?

Ioab a răspuns: „Domnul să facă pe poporul Lui încă de o sută de ori pe atât! Împărate, domnul meu, nu sunt ei toţi slujitori ai domnului meu? Dar pentru ce cere domnul meu lucrul acesta? Pentru ce să faci pe Israel să păcătuiască astfel?”

But Joab said, “May the LORD add to his people a hundred times as many as they are! Are they not, my lord the king, all of them my lord’s servants? Why then should my lord require this? Why should it be a cause of guilt for Israel?”

De a király szava erősebb volt Jóábénál. Elment azért Jóáb, és bejárta egész Izráelt, azután visszatért Jeruzsálembe.

Nevertheless the king's word prevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem.

Împăratul a stăruit în porunca pe care o dădea lui Ioab. Şi Ioab a plecat şi a străbătut tot Israelul; apoi s-a întors la Ierusalim.

But the king’s word prevailed against Joab. So Joab departed and went throughout all Israel and came back to Jerusalem.

Azután jelentette Dávidnak a nép számát. Egész Izráelben ezerszer ezer és százezer fegyverforgató férfi volt. Júda fiai közül pedig négyszázhetvenezer fegyverforgató férfi.

És megjelenté Joáb a megszámlált népnek számát Dávidnak. És volt az egész Izráel [népének száma] ezerszer ezer és százezer fegyverfogható férfi. A Júda fiai [közül] pedig négyszázhetvenezer fegyverfogható férfi.

And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.

And Joab gave the sum of the numbering of the people to David. In all Israel there were 1,100,000 men who drew the sword, and in Judah 470,000 who drew the sword.

But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's word was abominable to Joab.

But he did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, for the king’s command was abhorrent to Joab.

De Istennek sem tetszett e dolog, ezért meg is verte Izráelt.

Sőt az Istennek sem tetszék e dolog, melyért meg is veré Izráelt.

And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel.

Porunca aceasta n-a plăcut lui Dumnezeu, care a lovit pe Israel.

But God was displeased with this thing, and he struck Israel.

Dávid akkor azt mondta Istennek: Igen vétkeztem azzal, hogy ezt műveltem. Most azért bocsásd meg szolgád vétkét, mert fölöttébb esztelenül cselekedtem!

Monda pedig Dávid az Istennek: Igen vétkeztem, hogy ezt művelém: most azért bocsásd meg a te szolgád vétkét, mert felette esztelenül cselekedtem!

And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Şi David a zis lui Dumnezeu: „Am săvârşit un mare păcat făcând lucrul acesta! Acum, iartă fărădelegea robului Tău, căci am lucrat în totul ca un nebun!”

And David said to God, “I have sinned greatly in that I have done this thing. But now, please take away the iniquity of your servant, for I have acted very foolishly.”

Akkor így szólt az ÚR Gádhoz, Dávid látnokához:

And the LORD spake unto Gad, David's seer, saying,

Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

„Du-te şi spune lui David: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Îţi pun înainte trei urgii; alege una din ele, şi te voi lovi cu ea.”

“Go and say to David, ‘Thus says the LORD, Three things I offer you; choose one of them, that I may do it to you.’”

Elment tehát Gád próféta Dávidhoz, és azt mondta neki: „Így szól az Úr: Válassz magadnak!

So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee

So Gad came to David and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Choose what you will:

Három esztendeig tartó éhínség legyen, vagy három hónapig dúljanak szorongatóid, és érjen utol ellenséged fegyvere, vagy az ÚR fegyvere, a döghalál legyen három napig földeden, és az ÚR angyala pusztítson Izráel egész határában? Azért fontold meg, mit feleljek annak, aki engem hozzád küldött.”

Vagy három esztendeig való éhséget, vagy hogy három hónapig emésztessél ellenségeid által és a te ellenséged fegyvere legyen rajtad; vagy az Úr fegyvere és a döghalál három napig [kegyetlenkedjék] földedben és az Úr angyala pusztítson Izráel minden határaiban! Azért lássad most, mit feleljek annak, a ki engem hozzád küldött.

Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.

sau trei ani de foamete, sau trei luni în timpul cărora să fii nimicit de potrivnicii tăi şi atins de sabia vrăjmaşilor tăi, sau trei zile în timpul cărora sabia Domnului şi ciuma să fie în ţară, şi îngerul Domnului să ducă nimicirea în tot ţinutul lui Israel. Vezi acum ce trebuie să răspund Celui ce mă trimite.”

either three years of famine, or three months of devastation by your foes while the sword of your enemies overtakes you, or else three days of the sword of the LORD, pestilence on the land, with the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the territory of Israel.’ Now decide what answer I shall return to him who sent me.”

Dávid ezt felelte Gádnak: Nagy az én szorongattatásom! Hadd essem inkább az ÚR kezébe, mert igen nagy az ő irgalmassága, és ne essem emberek kezébe!

És monda Dávid Gádnak: Nagy az én szorongattatásom! Hadd essem inkább az Úr kezébe (mert igen nagy az ő irgalmassága) és ne essem emberek kezébe!

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.

David a răspuns lui Gad: „Sunt într-o mare strâmtorare! Să cad în mâinile Domnului, căci îndurările Lui sunt nemărginite; dar să nu cad în mâinile oamenilor!”

Then David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Let me fall into the hand of the LORD, for his mercy is very great, but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”

Az ÚR tehát dögvészt bocsátott Izráelre, és meghaltak Izráelből hetvenezren.

Bocsáta azért az Úr döghalált Izráelre; és meghalának Izráel közül hetvenezeren.

So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.

Domnul a trimis ciuma în Israel, şi au căzut şaptezeci de mii de oameni din Israel.

So the LORD sent a pestilence on Israel, and 70,000 men of Israel fell.

Ezenkívül az ÚR egy angyalt is bocsátott Jeruzsálemre, hogy pusztítsa el. De mikor ölni kezdte volna a népet, odatekintett az ÚR, megkönyörült veszedelmükön, és azt mondta a pusztító angyalnak: Elég immár, vond vissza a kezed! Az ÚR angyala ekkor a jebúszi Ornán szérűjénél állt.

And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Dumnezeu a trimis un înger la Ierusalim, ca să-l nimicească; şi, pe când îl nimicea, Domnul S-a uitat şi I-a părut rău de răul acesta; şi a zis îngerului care nimicea: „Destul! Acum, trage-ţi mâna înapoi!” Îngerul Domnului stătea lângă aria lui Ornan, iebusitul.

And God sent the angel to Jerusalem to destroy it, but as he was about to destroy it, the LORD saw, and he relented from the calamity. And he said to the angel who was working destruction, “It is enough; now stay your hand.” And the angel of the LORD was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Akkor Dávid fölemelte szemét, és látta, hogy az ÚR angyala ott áll a föld és az ég között, kivont karddal a kezében, amelyet Jeruzsálem ellen emelt föl. Ekkor Dávid és a vének is zsákruhába öltöztek, és arcra borultak.

Akkor Dávid felemelé az ő szemeit, és látá az Úr angyalát állani a föld és az ég között, kivont kardja a kezében, a melyet Jeruzsálem ellen emelt vala fel. Leesék azért Dávid és a vének is, zsákba öltözvén, az ő orczájokra.

And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.

David a ridicat ochii şi a văzut pe îngerul Domnului stând între pământ şi cer şi ţinând în mână sabia scoasă şi întoarsă împotriva Ierusalimului. Atunci David şi bătrânii, înveliţi cu saci, au căzut cu faţa la pământ.

And David lifted his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD standing between earth and heaven, and in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.

Dávid pedig ezt mondta Istennek: Hát nem én számláltattam-e meg a népet? Én vagyok, aki vétkeztem, és igen gonoszul cselekedtem! De ez a nyáj mit tett? Ó, én URam, Istenem, forduljon ellenem a kezed és az én házam népe ellen, de ne sújtsa a népedet ez a csapás.

És monda Dávid az Istennek: Nemde nem én számláltattam-é meg a népet? Én vagyok, a ki vétkeztem és igen gonoszul cselekedtem! De ez a nyáj mit tett? óh én Uram Istenem forduljon ellenem a te kezed és az én házam népe ellen, és ne legyen a te népeden a csapás.

And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.

Şi David a zis lui Dumnezeu: „Oare n-am poruncit eu numărătoarea poporului? Eu am păcătuit şi am făcut răul acesta; dar oile acestea, ce au făcut oare? Doamne Dumnezeul meu, mâna Ta să fie, dar, peste mine şi peste casa tatălui meu şi să nu piardă pe poporul Tău!”

And David said to God, “Was it not I who gave command to number the people? It is I who have sinned and done great evil. But these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand, O LORD my God, be against me and against my father’s house. But do not let the plague be on your people.”

Akkor az ÚR angyala szólt Gádnak, hogy mondja meg Dávidnak, menjen föl, és építsen oltárt az ÚRnak a jebúszi Ornán szérűjén.

Akkor szóla az Úr angyala Gádnak, hogy megmondja Dávidnak, hogy menjen fel Dávid és építsen oltárt az Úrnak a Jebuzeus Ornán szérűjén.

Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Îngerul Domnului a spus lui Gad să vorbească lui David să se suie să ridice un altar Domnului în aria lui Ornan, iebusitul.

Now the angel of the LORD had commanded Gad to say to David that David should go up and raise an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the LORD.

So David went up at Gad’s word, which he had spoken in the name of the LORD.

Amikor Ornán hátratekintett, és meglátta az angyalt, négy fiával együtt elrejtőzött. Ornán ugyanis éppen búzát csépelt.

Mikor pedig Ornán hátratekintvén, látta az angyalt, ő és az ő négy fia, a kik vele valának, elrejtőzének (Ornán pedig búzát csépel vala).

And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat.

Ornan s-a întors şi a văzut îngerul, şi cei patru fii ai lui s-au ascuns împreună cu el: treiera grâul atunci.

Now Ornan was threshing wheat. He turned and saw the angel, and his four sons who were with him hid themselves.

Amikor Dávid Ornánhoz érkezett, Ornán föltekintett, meglátta Dávidot, kiment a szérűről, és arccal a földre borult Dávid előtt.

És juta Dávid Ornánhoz. Mikor pedig feltekintett vala Ornán, meglátta Dávidot, és kimenvén a szérűről, meghajtá magát Dávid előtt, arczczal a földre.

And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.

Când a ajuns David la Ornan, Ornan s-a uitat şi a zărit pe David; apoi a ieşit din arie şi s-a închinat înaintea lui David, cu faţa la pământ.

As David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David and went out from the threshing floor and paid homage to David with his face to the ground.

Dávid így szólt Ornánhoz: Add nekem ezt a szérűt, hogy oltárt építsek rajta az ÚRnak. Valós árán add nekem, hogy megszűnjék ez a csapás a népen!

És monda Dávid Ornánnak: Add nékem e szérűhelyet, hogy építsek oltárt rajta az Úrnak; igaz árán adjad nékem azt, hogy megszünjék e csapás a népen.

Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.

David a zis lui Ornan: „Dă-mi locul ariei să zidesc în el un altar Domnului; dă-mi-l pe preţul lui în argint, ca să se depărteze urgia deasupra poporului.”

And David said to Ornan, “Give me the site of the threshing floor that I may build on it an altar to the LORD—give it to me at its full price—that the plague may be averted from the people.”

Ornán azt felelte Dávidnak: Legyen a tied, és az én uram, királyom azt cselekedje vele, ami neki tetszik! Sőt az ökröket is odaadom égőáldozatul, és a cséplőszerszámokat tűzifának, a gabonát pedig ételáldozatul. Mindezt ajándékul adom.

Monda Ornán Dávidnak: Legyen a tied, és az én uram, a király azt cselekedje, a mi néki tetszik; sőt az ökröket is oda adom égőáldozatul, és fa helyett a cséplőszerszámokat, a gabonát pedig ételáldozatul; mindezeket [ajándékul] adom.

And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all.

Ornan a răspuns lui David: „Ia-l, şi să facă domnul meu împăratul ce va crede; iată eu dau boii pentru arderea de tot, carele în loc de lemne şi grâul pentru darul de mâncare, toate le dau.”

Then Ornan said to David, “Take it, and let my lord the king do what seems good to him. See, I give the oxen for burnt offerings and the threshing sledges for the wood and the wheat for a grain offering; I give it all.”

Dávid király azt mondta Ornánnak: Nem úgy, hanem teljes áron akarom megvenni tőled. Mert nem veszem el azt, ami a tied, az ÚR számára, és nem akarok neki a máséból égőáldozatot áldozni.

And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.

Dar împăratul David a zis lui Ornan: „Nu! Vreau să-l cumpăr pe preţul lui în argint, căci nu voi da Domnului ce este al tău şi nu voi aduce o ardere de tot care să nu mă coste nimic.”

But King David said to Ornan, “No, but I will buy them for the full price. I will not take for the LORD what is yours, nor offer burnt offerings that cost me nothing.”

Így Dávid hatszáz aranysékelt adott Ornánnak a szérűért.

So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.

So David paid Ornan 600 shekels of gold by weight for the site.

And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.

David a zidit acolo un altar Domnului şi a adus arderi de tot şi jertfe de mulţumire. A chemat pe Domnul, şi Domnul i-a răspuns prin foc, care s-a coborât din cer pe altarul arderii de tot.

And David built there an altar to the LORD and presented burnt offerings and peace offerings and called on the LORD, and the LORD answered him with fire from heaven upon the altar of burnt offering.

Az ÚR parancsolt az angyalnak, és az visszatette kardját a hüvelyébe.

És parancsola az Úr az angyalnak; és betevé az ő kardját hüvelyébe.

And the LORD commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.

Then the LORD commanded the angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath.

At that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

At that time, when David saw that the LORD had answered him at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he sacrificed there.

Az ÚR hajléka ugyanis, amelyet Mózes készített a pusztában, és az égőáldozat oltára is akkor Gibeón magaslatán volt.

For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon.

But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
