Az esztendő fordultával, amikor a királyok harcba szoktak menni, elindította Jóáb a hadat, és elpusztította Ammón fiainak földjét. Odaért Rabbához, és körülzárta. Dávid azonban Jeruzsálemben maradt. Jóáb elfoglalta és lerombolta Rabbát.

És lőn az esztendőnek fordulásával, mikor a királyok [harczba] menni [szoktak,] elindítá Joáb a hadat, és elpusztítá az Ammon fiainak földjét. És elmenvén megszállá Rabbát, (Dávid pedig Jeruzsálemben marada) és elfoglalá Joáb Rabbát és elrontá azt.

And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.

In the spring of the year, the time when kings go out to battle, Joab led out the army and ravaged the country of the Ammonites and came and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem. And Joab struck down Rabbah and overthrew it.

Dávid levette királyuk fejéről a koronát, amely egy talentum arany súlyú volt, s drágakövekkel volt kirakva, és az Dávid fejére került. A városból is tömérdek zsákmányt vitt el.

És elvevé Dávid az ő királyuknak fejéről a koronát, mely egy tálentom arany súlyú vala, s melyben drágakövek valának. És Dávid fejére tette azt, s a városból is temérdek zsákmányt vitt el.

And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon David's head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city.

David a luat cununa de pe capul împăratului ei şi a găsit-o în greutate de un talant de aur: era împodobită cu pietre scumpe. Au pus-o pe capul lui David, care a luat o mare pradă din cetate.

And David took the crown of their king from his head. He found that it weighed a talent of gold, and in it was a precious stone. And it was placed on David’s head. And he brought out the spoil of the city, a very great amount.

A város népét pedig kihozatta, és fűrésszel, vascsákánnyal és fejszékkel való munkára fogta őket. Így tett Dávid Ammón fiainak valamennyi városával. Majd az egész néppel visszatért Jeruzsálembe.

A [város] népét pedig kihozatá és fűrészszel vágatá, és vasboronákkal és fejszékkel. Így cselekedék Dávid az Ammon fiainak minden városával; azután megtére Dávid az egész néppel Jeruzsálembe.

And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.

A scos afară pe locuitori şi i-a tăiat în bucăţi cu ferăstraie, cu securi şi cu topoare; tot aşa a făcut tuturor cetăţilor fiilor lui Amon. David s-a întors la Ierusalim cu tot poporul.

And he brought out the people who were in it and set them to labor with saws and iron picks and axes. And thus David did to all the cities of the Ammonites. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.

Ezután ismét harc tört ki Gézerben a filiszteusokkal. Akkor ölte meg a húsái Szibbekaj a refáiak nemzetségéből való Szippajt, és azok behódoltak.

Ezután ismét had támada Gézerben a Filiszteusok ellen; és akkor ölé meg a Husátites Sibbékai az óriások nemzetségéből való Sippait; és ilyen módon megaláztatának.

And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.

După aceea, a avut loc o bătălie la Ghezer cu filistenii. Atunci Sibecai, huşatitul, a ucis pe Sipai, unul din copiii lui Rafa. Şi filistenii au fost smeriţi.

And after this there arose war with the Philistines at Gezer. Then Sibbecai the Hushathite struck down Sippai, who was one of the descendants of the giants, and the Philistines were subdued.

Ismét harc tört ki a filiszteusok ellen, ebben ölte meg Elhánán, Jáír fia a gáti Lahmit, Góliát testvérét. Dárdájának nyele akkora volt, mint a szövőszék zugolyfája.

Ismét lőn had a Filiszteusok ellen, a melyben megölé Elhanán, a Jáir fia a Gáthbeli Lákhmit, a Góliát atyjafiát; és az ő dárdájának nyele hasonló [vala] a szövők zúgolyfájához.

And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam.

A mai fost o bătălie cu filistenii. Şi Elhanan, fiul lui Iair, a ucis pe fratele lui Goliat, Lahmi din Gat, care avea o suliţă al cărei mâner era ca un sul de ţesut.

And there was again war with the Philistines, and Elhanan the son of Jair struck down Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

Ezután Gátnál is harc tört ki; volt ott egy magas termetű férfi, akinek hat-hat, vagyis huszonnégy ujja volt. A ráfáiaktól származott ő is.

Ezek után ismét versengés támadt Gáthban, hol egy magas ember vala, a kinek hat-hat, [vagyis] huszonnégy ujja volt; ez is óriás fia vala.

And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot and he also was the son of the giant.

A mai fost o bătălie la Gat. Acolo a fost un om de statură înaltă care avea şase degete la fiecare mână şi la fiecare picior, douăzeci şi patru de toate, şi care se trăgea şi el din Rafa.

And there was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number, and he also was descended from the giants.

Mivel szidalommal illette Izráelt, megölte őt Jónátán, Dávid testvérének, Simeának a fia.

És szidalommal illeté Izráelt, és megölé őt Jonathán, Dávid testvérének, Simeának fia.

But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him.

El a batjocorit pe Israel; şi Ionatan, fiul lui Şimea, fratele lui David, l-a ucis.

And when he taunted Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea, David’s brother, struck him down.

Ezek ugyanannak a gáti Ráfának a fiai voltak, és Dávidnak vagy szolgáinak keze által vesztek el.

Ezek ugyanazon egy óriásnak fiai voltak Gáthban, a kik elveszének Dávidnak és az ő szolgáinak keze által.

These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

These were descended from the giants in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.
