Virradatkor a főpapok és a nép vénei valamennyien úgy határoztak, hogy Jézust halálra adják.

Mikor pedig reggel lőn, tanácsot tartának mind a főpapok és a nép vénei Jézus ellen, hogy őt megöljék.

When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders,

és ezt mondta: Vétkeztem, hogy elárultam az ártatlan vért. Azok pedig így válaszoltak: Mi közünk hozzá? Ez a te dolgod.

Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

şi a zis: „Am păcătuit, căci am vândut sânge nevinovat.” „Ce ne pasă nouă?”, i-au răspuns ei. „Treaba ta.”

saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” They said, “What is that to us? See to it yourself.”

Ő pedig eldobva az ezüstpénzeket a templomban, eltávozott; elment, és felakasztotta magát.

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

A főpapok pedig felszedték az ezüstpénzeket, és azt mondták: Nem szabad ezeket a templom kincsei közé tennünk, mert vérnek ára.

And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

Preoţii cei mai de seamă au strâns arginţii şi au zis: „Nu este îngăduit să-i punem în vistieria Templului, fiindcă sunt preţ de sânge.”

But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is blood money.”

Majd úgy döntöttek, hogy megvásárolják azon a fazekas mezejét idegenek számára temetőnek.

Tanácsot ülvén pedig, megvásárlák azon a fazekasnak mezejét idegenek számára való temetőnek.

And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

Şi după ce s-au sfătuit, au cumpărat cu banii aceia „Ţarina olarului” ca loc pentru îngroparea străinilor.

So they took counsel and bought with them the potter’s field as a burial place for strangers.

Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

Ekkor teljesedett be Jeremiás próféta mondása, aki így szólt: És vették a harminc ezüstpénzt, a felbecsültnek árát, akit Izráel fiai ennyire becsültek,

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel,

And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

Jézus pedig ott állt a helytartó előtt, és a helytartó azt kérdezte tőle: Te vagy a zsidók királya? Mire Jézus így válaszolt: Te mondod.

And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

Now Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, “You have said so.”

And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

But when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he gave no answer.

Akkor azt mondta neki Pilátus: Nem hallod, mennyi bizonyságot tesznek ellened?

Akkor monda néki Pilátus: Nem hallod-é, mily sok bizonyságot tesznek ellened?

Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

Atunci Pilat I-a zis: „N-auzi de câte lucruri Te învinuiesc ei?”

Then Pilate said to him, “Do you not hear how many things they testify against you?”

És nem felelt neki egyetlen szót sem, úgyhogy a helytartó igen elcsodálkozott.

And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

Isus nu i-a răspuns la niciun cuvânt, aşa că se mira foarte mult dregătorul.

But he gave him no answer, not even to a single charge, so that the governor was greatly amazed.

Amikor azért egybegyülekeztek, azt mondta nekik Pilátus: Melyiket akarjátok, hogy elbocsássam nektek: Barabbást vagy Jézust, akit Krisztusnak hívnak?

Mikor azért egybegyülekezének, monda nékik Pilátus: Melyiket akarjátok hogy elbocsássam néktek: Barabbást-é, vagy Jézust, a kit Krisztusnak hívnak?

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

Când erau adunaţi la un loc, Pilat le-a zis: „Pe care voiţi să vi-l slobod? Pe Baraba sau pe Isus, care Se numeşte Hristos?”

So when they had gathered, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?”

For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up.

Amíg az ítélőszékben ült, felesége azt üzente neki: Ne avatkozz ennek az igaz embernek a dolgába, mert sokat szenvedtem ma álmomban miatta!

A mint pedig ő az ítélőszékben ül vala, külde ő hozzá a felesége, ezt üzenvén: Ne avatkozzál amaz igaz ember dolgába; mert sokat szenvedtem ma álmomban ő miatta.

When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

Pe când stătea Pilat pe scaun la judecată, nevasta sa a trimis să-i spună: „Să n-ai nimic a face cu Neprihănitul acesta; căci azi am suferit mult în vis din pricina Lui.”

Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, “Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream.”

A főpapok és a vének pedig rávették a sokaságot, hogy Barabbást kérjék ki, Jézust pedig veszítsék el.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

Preoţii cei mai de seamă şi bătrânii au înduplecat noroadele să ceară pe Baraba, iar pe Isus să-L omoare.

Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.

Amikor a helytartó azt kérdezte tőlük: „A kettő közül melyiket akarjátok, hogy elbocsássam nektek?”, azt válaszolták: Barabbást.

Felelvén pedig a helytartó, monda nékik: A kettő közül melyiket akarjátok, hogy elbocsássam néktek? Azok pedig mondának: Barabbást.

The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

Dregătorul a luat cuvântul şi le-a zis: „Pe care din amândoi voiţi să vi-l slobod?” „Pe Baraba”, au răspuns ei.

The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas.”

És mit tegyek Jézussal, akit Krisztusnak hívnak? – kérdezte tovább Pilátus. Erre mindnyájan azt mondták: Feszíttessék meg!

Monda nékik Pilátus: Mit cselekedjem hát Jézussal, a kit Krisztusnak hívnak? Mindnyájan mondának: Feszíttessék meg!

Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

Pilat le-a zis: „Dar ce să fac cu Isus, care Se numeşte Hristos?” „Să fie răstignit!”, i-au răspuns cu toţii.

Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!”

De mi rosszat tett? – mondta a helytartó, mire azok még inkább kiáltoztak: Feszíttessék meg!

A helytartó pedig monda: Mert mi rosszat cselekedett? Azok pedig még inkább kiáltoznak vala, mondván: Feszíttessék meg!

And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

Dregătorul a zis: „Dar ce rău a făcut?” Ei au început să strige şi mai tare: „Să fie răstignit!”

And he said, “Why? What evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Let him be crucified!”

Amikor Pilátus látta, hogy semmire sem megy, sőt még nagyobb zavargás támad, vizet hozatott, megmosta kezét a sokaság szeme láttára, és így szólt: Ártatlan vagyok ez igaz ember vérétől. Ti lássátok!

Pilátus pedig látván, hogy semmi sem használ, hanem még nagyobb háborúság támad, vizet vévén, megmosá kezeit a sokaság előtt, mondván: Ártatlan vagyok ez igaz embernek vérétől; ti lássátok!

When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

Când a văzut Pilat că n-ajunge la nimic, ci că se face mai multă zarvă, a luat apă, şi-a spălat mâinile înaintea norodului şi a zis: „Eu sunt nevinovat de sângele Neprihănitului acestuia. Treaba voastră!”

So when Pilate saw that he was gaining nothing, but rather that a riot was beginning, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this man’s blood; see to it yourselves.”

Erre az egész nép azt mondta: Az ő vére rajtunk és a mi fiainkon!

És felelvén az egész nép, monda: Az ő vére mi rajtunk és a mi magzatainkon.

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

Şi tot norodul a răspuns: „Sângele Lui să fie asupra noastră şi asupra copiilor noştri.”

And all the people answered, “His blood be on us and on our children!”

Akkor szabadon bocsátotta nekik Barabbást, Jézust pedig megostoroztatta, és átadta, hogy megfeszíttessék.

Akkor elbocsátá nékik Barabbást; Jézust pedig megostoroztatván, kezökbe adá, hogy megfeszíttessék.

Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Atunci Pilat le-a slobozit pe Baraba; iar pe Isus, după ce a pus să-L bată cu nuiele, L-a dat în mâinile lor, ca să fie răstignit.

Then he released for them Barabbas, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified.

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the governor’s headquarters, and they gathered the whole battalion before him.

And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

and twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on his head and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

Miután kigúnyolták, levették róla a palástot, a saját ruháiba öltöztették, és elvitték, hogy megfeszítsék.

And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him.

Kifelé menet pedig találkoztak egy Simon nevű cirénei emberrel, akit arra kényszerítettek, hogy vigye az ő keresztjét.

And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

As they went out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. They compelled this man to carry his cross.

Amikor eljutottak arra a helyre, amelyet Golgotának, azaz Koponya-helynek neveznek,

És mikor eljutának arra a helyre, a melyet Golgothának, azaz koponya helyének neveznek,

And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

Când au ajuns la un loc numit Golgota, care înseamnă: „Locul căpăţânii”,

And when they came to a place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull),

epével kevert bort adtak neki inni, amelyet megízlelt, de nem akart meginni.

Méreggel megelegyített eczetet adának néki inni; és megízlelvén, nem akara inni.

They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

they offered him wine to drink, mixed with gall, but when he tasted it, he would not drink it.

Miután megfeszítették, sorsot vetve megosztoztak ruháin,

Minek utána pedig megfeszíték őt, eloszták az ő ruháit, sorsot vetvén; hogy beteljék a próféta mondása: Megosztozának az én ruháimon, és az én köntösömre sorsot vetének.

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

And when they had crucified him, they divided his garments among them by casting lots.

And sitting down they watched him there;

Then they sat down and kept watch over him there.

Feje fölé helyezték írásba foglalva elítélésének okát: EZ JÉZUS, A ZSIDÓK KIRÁLYA.

És feje fölé illeszték az ő kárhoztatásának okát, oda írván: Ez Jézus, a zsidók királya.

And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Şi I-au scris deasupra capului vina: „Acesta este Isus, Împăratul iudeilor.”

And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”

Vele együtt két gonosztevőt is megfeszítettek, egyiket jobb, a másikat bal kéz felől.

Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on the right and one on the left.

Az arra menők pedig fejüket csóválva szidalmazták őt,

And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

And those who passed by derided him, wagging their heads

és ezt mondták: Te, ki lerontod a templomot, és harmadnapra fölépíted, szabadítsd meg magadat! Ha Isten Fia vagy, szállj le a keresztről!

És ezt mondván: Te, ki lerontod a templomot és harmadnapra fölépíted, szabadítsd meg magadat; ha Isten Fia vagy, szállj le a keresztről!

And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

şi ziceau: „Tu, care strici Templul şi-l zideşti la loc în trei zile, mântuieşte-Te pe Tine însuţi! Dacă eşti Tu Fiul lui Dumnezeu, coboară-Te de pe cruce!”

and saying, “You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

Hasonlóképpen csúfolódtak a főpapok is az írástudókkal és a vénekkel együtt, és ezt mondták:

Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying,

Másokat megmentett, magát nem tudja megmenteni. Ha Izráel királya, szálljon le most a keresztről, és majd hiszünk neki.

He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

„Pe alţii i-a mântuit, iar pe Sine nu Se poate mântui! Dacă este El Împăratul lui Israel, să Se coboare acum de pe cruce, şi vom crede în El!

“He saved others; he cannot save himself. He is the King of Israel; let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

Bízott az Istenben, hát mentse meg most, ha akarja, hiszen azt mondta: Isten Fia vagyok.

Bízott az Istenben; mentse meg most őt, ha akarja; mert azt mondta: Isten Fia vagyok.

He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

S-a încrezut în Dumnezeu: să-L scape acum Dumnezeu, dacă-L iubeşte. Căci a zis: „Eu sunt Fiul lui Dumnezeu!”

He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

A vele együtt megfeszített gonosztevők is így gyalázkodtak.

A kiket vele együtt feszítének meg, a latrok is ugyanazt hányják vala szemére.

The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

Kilenc óra tájban Jézus hangosan így kiáltott fel: „Elói, elói, lámá sabaktáni!” Azaz: „Én Istenem, én Istenem, miért hagytál el engemet?”

Kilencz óra körül pedig nagy fenszóval kiálta Jézus, mondván: ELI, ELI! LAMA SABAKTÁNI? azaz: Én Istenem, én Istenem! miért hagyál el engemet?

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Şi pe la ceasul al nouălea, Isus a strigat cu glas tare: „Eli, Eli, lama sabactani?”, adică: „Dumnezeul Meu, Dumnezeul Meu, pentru ce M-ai părăsit?”

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

And some of the bystanders, hearing it, said, “This man is calling Elijah.”

Egyikük nyomban odafutott, vett egy ecettel teli szivacsot, és egy nádszálra tűzve inni adott neki.

És egy közülök azonnal oda futamodván, egy szivacsot vőn, és megtöltvén eczettel és egy nádszálra tűzvén, inni ád vala néki.

And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

Şi îndată, unul din ei a alergat de a luat un burete, l-a umplut cu oţet, l-a pus într-o trestie şi I-a dat să bea.

And one of them at once ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine, and put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink.

The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

But the others said, “Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him.”

Jézus pedig ismét hangosan felkiáltott, és kilehelte lelkét.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.

És íme, a templom kárpitja felülről az aljáig kettéhasadt. A föld is megrendült, és a sziklák megrepedeztek.

És ímé a templom kárpítja fölétől aljáig ketté hasada; és a föld megindula, és a kősziklák megrepedezének;

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Şi îndată perdeaua dinăuntrul Templului s-a rupt în două, de sus până jos, pământul s-a cutremurat, stâncile s-au despicat,

And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

A százados pedig és akik vele őrizték Jézust, látva a földrengést és a történteket, igen megrémültek, és azt mondták: Valóban Isten Fia volt ez!

Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Sutaşul şi cei ce păzeau pe Isus împreună cu el, când au văzut cutremurul de pământ şi cele întâmplate, s-au înfricoşat foarte tare şi au zis: „Cu adevărat, Acesta a fost Fiul lui Dumnezeu!”

When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

Sok asszony volt ott, akik távolról szemlélték mindezt. Ezek Galileából követték Jézust, és szolgáltak neki.

And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

Acolo erau şi multe femei care priveau de departe; ele urmaseră pe Isus din Galileea, ca să-I slujească.

There were also many women there, looking on from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him,

When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus.

He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given to him.

Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

şi i-au zis: „Doamne, ne-am adus aminte că înşelătorul acela, pe când era încă în viaţă, a zis: „După trei zile voi învia.”

and said, “Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise.’

Parancsold meg azért, hogy őrizzék a sírt harmadnapig, nehogy tanítványai odamenjenek, ellopják őt, és azt mondják a népnek, hogy feltámadt a halálból. Ez az utolsó csalás rosszabb lenne az elsőnél.

Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last fraud will be worse than the first.”

De Pilátus azt mondta nekik: Van őrségetek, menjetek és őriztessétek, ahogy tudjátok!

Pilátus pedig monda nékik: Van őrségetek; menjetek, őríztessétek, a mint tudjátok.

Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

Pilat le-a zis: „Aveţi o strajă; duceţi-vă de păziţi cum puteţi.”

Pilate said to them, “You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can.”

Erre ők elmentek, lepecsételték a követ, és őrséggel őriztették a sírt.

Ők pedig elmenvén, a sírt őrizet alá helyezék, lepecsételvén a követ, az őrséggel.

So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Ei au plecat şi au întărit mormântul, pecetluind piatra şi punând strajă.”

So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.
