Az írástudók és a farizeusok Mózes székébe ültek.

Mondván: Az írástudók és a farizeusok a Mózes székében ülnek:

Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

a zis: „Cărturarii şi fariseii şed pe scaunul lui Moise.

“The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat,

Amit azért parancsolnak, mindazt megtartsátok és megtegyétek, de cselekedeteiket ne kövessétek, mert amit mondanak, azt nem teszik meg.

Annakokáért a mit parancsolnak néktek, mindazt megtartsátok és megcselekedjétek; de az ő cselekedeteik szerint ne cselekedjetek. Mert ők mondják, de nem cselekszik.

All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Deci toate lucrurile pe care vă spun ei să le păziţi, păziţi-le şi faceţi-le; dar după faptele lor să nu faceţi. Căci ei zic, dar nu fac.

so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice.

Nehéz és elhordozhatatlan terheket kötnek össze, és az emberek vállára rakják, ők maguk azonban az ujjukkal sem akarják azokat mozdítani.

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger.

Mindent csak azért tesznek, hogy lássák őket az emberek: mert megszélesítik imaszíjaikat, és megnagyobbítják ruhájuk bojtjait,

Minden ő dolgaikat pedig csak azért cselekszik, hogy lássák őket az emberek: mert megszélesítik az ő homlokszíjjaikat; és megnagyobbítják az ő köntöseik peremét;

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

Toate faptele lor le fac pentru ca să fie văzuţi de oameni. Astfel, îşi fac filacteriile late, îşi fac poalele veşmintelor cu ciucuri lungi;

They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long,

And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,

And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

and greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi by others.

Ti azonban ne hívassátok magatokat mesternek, mert egy a ti Mesteretek, a Krisztus; ti pedig mindnyájan testvérek vagytok.

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

Voi să nu vă numiţi Rabi! Fiindcă Unul singur este Învăţătorul vostru: Hristos, şi voi toţi sunteţi fraţi.

But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers.

Atyátoknak se szólítsatok senkit e földön, mert egy a ti Atyátok, aki a mennyben van.

Atyátoknak se hívjatok senkit e földön; mert egy a ti Atyátok, a ki a mennyben van.

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Şi „Tată” să nu numiţi pe nimeni pe pământ; pentru că Unul singur este Tatăl vostru: Acela care este în ceruri.

And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.

Tanítónak se hívassátok magatokat, mert egy a ti Tanítótok, a Krisztus.

Doktoroknak se hivassátok magatokat, mert egy a ti Doktorotok, a Krisztus.

Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Să nu vă numiţi „Dascăli”; căci Unul singur este Dascălul vostru: Hristosul.

Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ.

Hanem aki a legnagyobb közöttetek, az legyen a ti szolgátok.

Hanem a ki a nagyobb közöttetek, legyen a ti szolgátok.

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Cel mai mare dintre voi să fie slujitorul vostru.

The greatest among you shall be your servant.

Mert aki magát felmagasztalja, megaláztatik, és aki magát megalázza, felmagasztaltatik.

And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Oricine se va înălţa va fi smerit; şi oricine se va smeri va fi înălţat.

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Jaj nektek, képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert bezárjátok a mennyek országát az emberek előtt; mert ti nem mentek be, s azokat sem hagyjátok bejutni, akik bemennének!

De jaj néktek képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert a mennyeknek országát bezárjátok az emberek előtt; mivelhogy ti nem mentek be, a kik be akarnának menni, azokat sem bocsátjátok be.

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Vai de voi, cărturari şi farisei făţarnici! Pentru că voi închideţi oamenilor Împărăţia cerurilor: nici voi nu intraţi în ea, şi nici pe cei ce vor să intre nu-i lăsaţi să intre.

“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.

Jaj nektek, képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert felemésztitek az özvegyek házait, és színből hosszan imádkoztok! Ezért annál súlyosabb lesz ítéletetek.

Jaj néktek képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert felemésztitek az özvegyek házát, és színből hosszan imádkoztok; ezért annál súlyosabb lesz a ti büntetéstek.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Vai de voi, cărturari şi farisei făţarnici! Pentru că voi mâncaţi casele văduvelor, în timp ce, de ochii lumii, faceţi rugăciuni lungi; de aceea veţi lua o mai mare osândă.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.

Jaj nektek, képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert bejárjátok a tengert és a földet, hogy egy pogányt prozelitává tegyetek! Amikor pedig azzá tettétek, a gyehenna fiává teszitek, kétszerte inkább magatoknál.

Jaj néktek képmutató írástudók és farizeusok! mert megkerülitek a tengert és a földet, hogy egy pogányt zsidóvá tegyetek; és ha azzá lett, a gyehenna fiává teszitek őt, kétszerte inkább magatoknál.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Vai de voi, cărturari şi farisei făţarnici! Pentru că voi înconjuraţi marea şi pământul ca să faceţi un tovarăş de credinţă; şi, după ce a ajuns tovarăş de credinţă, faceţi din el un fiu al gheenei, de două ori mai rău decât sunteţi voi înşivă.

“Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’

Jaj nektek, vak vezetők, akik ezt mondjátok: Ha valaki a templomra esküszik, semmi az, de ha valaki a templom aranyára esküszik, azt köti az eskü!

Jaj néktek vak vezérek, a kik ezt mondjátok: Ha valaki a templomra esküszik, semmi az; de ha valaki a templom aranyára esküszik, tartozik az.

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

Vai de voi, povăţuitori orbi, care ziceţi: „Dacă jură cineva pe Templu, nu este nimic; dar dacă jură pe aurul Templului, este legat de jurământul lui.”

You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that has made the gold sacred?

Bolondok és vakok, mert melyik nagyobb: az arany-e vagy a templom, amely megszenteli az aranyat?

Bolondok és vakok: mert melyik nagyobb, az arany-é, vagy a templom, a mely szentté teszi az aranyat?

Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

Nebuni şi orbi! Care este mai mare: aurul sau Templul, care sfinţeşte aurul?

And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gift that is on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’

És ha valaki az oltárra esküszik, az semmi, de ha valaki a rajta levő ajándékra esküszik, azt köti az eskü.

És: Ha valaki az oltárra esküszik, semmi az; de ha valaki a rajta levő ajándékra esküszik, tartozik az.

And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

„Dacă jură cineva pe altar, nu este nimic, dar dacă jură pe darul de pe altar, este legat de jurământul lui.”

You blind men! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?

Ti vakok, mert melyik nagyobb: az ajándék-e vagy az oltár, amely megszenteli az ajándékot?

Bolondok és vakok: mert melyik nagyobb, az ajándék-é vagy az oltár, a mely szentté teszi az ajándékot?

Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

Nebuni şi orbi! Care este mai mare: darul sau altarul, care sfinţeşte darul?

So whoever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.

Aki azért az oltárra esküszik, nemcsak arra esküszik, hanem mindarra is, ami azon van.

A ki azért az oltárra esküszik, esküszik arra és mindazokra, a mik azon vannak.

Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.

Deci cine jură pe altar jură pe el şi pe tot ce este deasupra lui;

And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by him who dwells in it.

És aki a templomra esküszik, nemcsak arra esküszik, hanem arra is, aki abban lakozik.

And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

cine jură pe Templu jură pe el şi pe Cel ce locuieşte în el;

And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who sits upon it.

És aki az égre esküszik, nemcsak az Isten trónjára esküszik, hanem arra is, aki azon ül.

És a ki az égre esküszik, esküszik az Isten királyiszékére és arra, ki abban ül.

And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.

şi cine jură pe cer jură pe scaunul de domnie al lui Dumnezeu şi pe Cel ce şade pe el.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

Jaj nektek, képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert tizedet adtok a mentából, a kaporból és a köményből, de elhanyagoljátok azt, ami a törvényben ezeknél fontosabb: az igazságos ítéletet, az irgalmasságot és a hűséget! Pedig ezeket kellene cselekedni és azokat sem elhagyni.

Jaj néktek képmutató írástudók és farizeusok! mert megdézsmáljátok a mentát, a kaprot és a köményt, és elhagyjátok a mik nehezebbek a törvényben, az ítéletet, az irgalmasságot és a hívséget: pedig ezeket kellene cselekedni, és amazokat sem elhagyni.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Vai de voi, cărturari şi farisei făţarnici! Pentru că voi daţi zeciuială din izmă, din mărar şi din chimen şi lăsaţi nefăcute cele mai însemnate lucruri din Lege: dreptatea, mila şi credincioşia; pe acestea trebuia să le faceţi, şi pe acelea să nu le lăsaţi nefăcute.

You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!

Vak vezetők, akik kiszűritek a szúnyogot, a tevét pedig lenyelitek.

Vak vezérek, a kik megszűritek a szúnyogot, a tevét pedig elnyelitek.

Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Povăţuitori orbi, care strecuraţi ţânţarul şi înghiţiţi cămila!

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

Jaj nektek, képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert megtisztítjátok a pohár és a tál külsejét, melyek belül tele vannak kapzsisággal és rablásvággyal!

Jaj néktek képmutató írástudók és farizeusok! mert megtisztítjátok a pohárnak és tálnak külsejét, belől pedig rakvák azok ragadománynyal és mértékletlenséggel.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

Vai de voi, cărturari şi farisei făţarnici! Pentru că voi curăţaţi partea de afară a paharului şi a blidului, dar înăuntru sunt pline de răpire şi de necumpătare.

You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.

Vak farizeus, tisztítsd meg előbb a pohár és a tál belsejét, hogy külsejük is tiszta legyen!

Vak farizeus, tisztítsd meg előbb a pohár és tál belsejét, hogy külsejük is tiszta legyen.

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Fariseu orb! Curăţă întâi partea dinăuntru a paharului şi a blidului, pentru ca şi partea de afară să fie curată.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness.

Jaj nektek, képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert hasonlók vagytok a meszelt sírokhoz, amelyek kívülről tetszetősnek látszanak, belül pedig halottak csontjaival és minden tisztátalansággal vannak tele!

Jaj néktek képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert hasonlatosak vagytok a meszelt sírokhoz, a melyek kívülről szépeknek tetszenek, belől pedig holtaknak csontjaival és minden undoksággal rakvák.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

Vai de voi, cărturari şi farisei făţarnici! Pentru că voi sunteţi ca mormintele văruite, care pe din afară se arată frumoase, iar pe dinăuntru sunt pline de oasele morţilor şi de orice fel de necurăţenie.

So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

Hasonlóképpen ti is kívülről igazaknak látszotok ugyan az emberek előtt, de belül tele vagytok képmutatással és törvénytelenséggel.

Épen így ti is, kívülről igazaknak látszotok ugyan az emberek előtt, de belől rakva vagytok képmutatással és törvénytelenséggel.

Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Tot aşa şi voi, pe din afară vă arătaţi neprihăniţi oamenilor, dar pe dinăuntru sunteţi plini de făţărnicie şi de fărădelege.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous,

Jaj nektek, képmutató írástudók és farizeusok, mert sírokat építetek a prófétáknak, és felékesítitek az igazak síremlékeit,

Jaj néktek képmutató írástudók és farizeusok! mert építitek a próféták sírjait és ékesgetitek az igazak síremlékeit.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

Vai de voi, cărturari şi farisei făţarnici! Pentru că voi zidiţi mormintele prorocilor, împodobiţi gropile celor neprihăniţi

saying, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’

és azt mondjátok, hogy ha atyáink korában éltünk volna, nem lettünk volna bűntársak a próféták vérének kiontásában!

És ezt mondjátok: Ha mi atyáink korában éltünk volna, nem lettünk volna az ő bűntársaik a próféták vérében.

And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

şi ziceţi: „Dacă am fi trăit noi în zilele părinţilor noştri, nu ne-am fi unit cu ei la vărsarea sângelui prorocilor.”

Thus you witness against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets.

Ezzel magatok tanúskodtok arról, hogy fiai vagytok a próféták gyilkosainak.

Így hát magatok ellen tesztek bizonyságot, hogy fiai vagytok azoknak, a kik megölték a prófétákat.

Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.

Prin aceasta mărturisiţi despre voi înşivă că sunteţi fiii celor ce au omorât pe proroci.

Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers.

Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

Voi, dar, umpleţi măsura părinţilor voştri!

You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?

Kígyók, viperafajzatok! Hogyan menekülhetnétek meg a gyehenna ítéletétől?

Kígyók, mérges kígyóknak fajzatai, miképen kerülitek ki a gyehennának büntetését?

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Şerpi, pui de năpârci! Cum veţi scăpa de pedeapsa gheenei?

Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and persecute from town to town,

Azért íme, prófétákat, bölcseket és írástudókat küldök hozzátok: és azok közül némelyeket megöltök és megfeszítetek, másokat azok közül zsinagógáitokban megkorbácsoltok és városról városra üldöztök,

Annakokáért ímé prófétákat, bölcseket és írástudókat küldök én hozzátok: és azok közül némelyeket megöltök, és megfeszítetek, másokat azok közül a ti zsinagógáitokban megostoroztok és városról- városra üldöztök.

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

De aceea, iată, vă trimit proroci, înţelepţi şi cărturari. Pe unii din ei îi veţi omorî şi răstigni, pe alţii îi veţi bate în sinagogile voastre şi-i veţi prigoni din cetate în cetate;

so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar.

hogy rátok szálljon minden igaz vér, amely kiomlott a földön, az igaz Ábel vérétől fogva Zakariásnak, Barakiás fiának véréig, akit a templom és az oltár között megöltetek.

Hogy reátok szálljon minden igaz vér, a mely kiömlött a földön, az igaz Ábelnek vérétől Zakariásnak, a Barakiás fiának véréig, a kit a templom és az oltár között megöltetek.

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

ca să vină asupra voastră tot sângele nevinovat care a fost vărsat pe pământ, de la sângele neprihănitului Abel până la sângele lui Zaharia, fiul lui Barachia, pe care l-aţi omorât între Templu şi altar.

Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.

Bizony mondom nektek, mindez eljön erre a nemzedékre.

Bizony mondom néktek, mindezek reá következnek erre a nemzetségre.

Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

Adevărat vă spun că toate acestea vor veni peste neamul acesta.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!

Jeruzsálem, Jeruzsálem, aki megölöd a prófétákat, és megkövezed azokat, akik hozzád küldettek! Hányszor akartam összegyűjteni fiaidat, miképpen a tyúk szárnya alá gyűjti csibéit, de ti nem akartátok.

Jeruzsálem, Jeruzsálem! Ki megölöd a prófétákat és megkövezed azokat, a kik te hozzád küldettek, hányszor akartam egybegyűjteni a te fiaidat, miképen a tyúk egybegyűjti kis csirkéit szárnya alá; és te nem akartad.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Ierusalime, Ierusalime, care omori pe proroci şi ucizi cu pietre pe cei trimişi la tine! De câte ori am vrut să strâng pe copiii tăi cum îşi strânge găina puii sub aripi, şi n-aţi vrut!

See, your house is left to you desolate.

Íme, pusztán marad házatok.

Ímé, pusztán hagyatik néktek a ti házatok.

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

Iată că vi se lasă casa pustie;

For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

Mert mondom nektek, mostantól fogva nem láttok engem mindaddig, amíg azt nem mondjátok: Áldott, aki jön az Úr nevében!

Mert mondom néktek: Mostantól fogva nem láttok engem mindaddig, mígnem ezt mondjátok: Áldott, a ki jő az Úrnak nevében!

For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

căci vă spun că de acum încolo nu Mă veţi mai vedea până când veţi zice: „Binecuvântat este Cel ce vine în Numele Domnului!”
