Ebben az időben jelent meg Keresztelő János, és prédikált Júdea pusztájában.

Azokban a napokban pedig eljöve Keresztelő János, a ki prédikál vala Júdea pusztájában.

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

În vremea aceea a venit Ioan Botezătorul şi propovăduia în pustiul Iudeii.

In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

Ezt mondta: Térjetek meg, mert elközelített a mennyek országa.

És ezt mondja vala: Térjetek meg, mert elközelített a mennyeknek országa.

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

El zicea: „Pocăiţi-vă, căci Împărăţia cerurilor este aproape.”

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Ő az, akiről Ézsaiás próféta így szólt: Kiáltó szó hangzik a pusztában: készítsétek az Úr útját, és egyengessétek ösvényeit.

Mert ez az, a kiről Ésaiás próféta szólott, ezt mondván: Kiáltó szó a pusztában: Készítsétek az Úrnak útját, és egyengessétek meg az ő ösvényeit.

For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Ioan acesta este acela care fusese vestit prin prorocul Isaia, când zice: „Iată glasul celui ce strigă în pustiu: „Pregătiţi calea Domnului, neteziţi-I cărările.”

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight.’”

Maga János teveszőr ruhát viselt és bőrövet a dereka körül, eledele pedig sáska és erdei méz volt.

Ennek a Jánosnak a ruhája pedig teveszőrből vala, és bőröv vala a dereka körül, elesége pedig sáska és erdei méz.

And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

Ioan purta o haină de păr de cămilă, şi la mijloc era încins cu un brâu de curea. El se hrănea cu lăcuste şi miere sălbatică.

Now John wore a garment of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey.

Tódult hozzá Jeruzsálem, az egész Júdea és a Jordán egész környéke,

Ekkor kiméne ő hozzá Jeruzsálem és az egész Júdea és a Jordánnak egész környéke.

Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

Locuitorii din Ierusalim, din toată Iudeea şi din toate împrejurimile Iordanului au început să iasă la el;

Then Jerusalem and all Judea and all the region about the Jordan were going out to him,

és miután megvallották bűneiket, megkeresztelte őket a Jordán vizében.

És megkeresztelkednek vala ő általa a Jordán vizében, vallást tevén az ő bűneikről.

And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

şi, mărturisindu-şi păcatele, erau botezaţi de el în râul Iordan.

and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

Amikor pedig látta, hogy farizeusok és szadduceusok is sokan jönnek hozzá, hogy megkeresztelkedjenek, így szólt hozzájuk: Mérges kígyók fajzatai! Ki figyelmeztetett titeket, hogy meneküljetek Isten eljövendő haragja elől?

Mikor pedig látá, hogy a farizeusok és sadduceusok közül sokan mennek ő hozzá, hogy megkeresztelkedjenek, monda nékik: Mérges kígyóknak fajzatai! Kicsoda intett meg titeket, hogy az Istennek elkövetkezendő haragjától megmeneküljetek?

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Dar când a văzut pe mulţi din farisei şi din saduchei că vin să primească botezul lui, le-a zis: „Pui de năpârci, cine v-a învăţat să fugiţi de mânia viitoare?

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Teremjetek azért megtéréshez illő gyümölcsöket,

Teremjetek hát megtéréshez illő gyümölcsöket.

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

Faceţi, dar, roade vrednice de pocăinţa voastră.

Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.

és ne áltassátok magatokat azzal, hogy Ábrahám a mi atyánk! Mert mondom nektek, hogy Isten ezekből a kövekből is támaszthat fiakat Ábrahámnak.

És ne gondoljátok, hogy így szólhattok magatokban: Ábrahám a mi atyánk! Mert mondom néktek, hogy Isten eme kövekből is támaszthat fiakat Ábrahámnak.

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Şi să nu credeţi că puteţi zice în voi înşivă: „Avem ca tată pe Avraam!” Căci vă spun că Dumnezeu din pietrele acestea poate să ridice fii lui Avraam.

And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.

A fejsze már a fák gyökerén van, és minden fát, amely nem terem jó gyümölcsöt, kivágnak, és tűzre vetnek.

A fejsze pedig immár a fák gyökerére vettetett. Azért minden fa, a mely jó gyümölcsöt nem terem, kivágattatik és tűzre vettetik.

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Iată că securea a şi fost înfiptă la rădăcina pomilor: deci orice pom, care nu face rod bun, va fi tăiat şi aruncat în foc.

Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Én ugyan vízzel keresztellek titeket megtérésre, de aki utánam jön, hatalmasabb nálam, én még arra sem vagyok méltó, hogy a saruját hordozzam. Ő majd Szentlélekkel és tűzzel keresztel meg titeket.

Én ugyan vízzel keresztellek titeket megtérésre, de a ki utánam jő, erősebb nálamnál, a kinek saruját hordozni sem vagyok méltó; ő Szent Lélekkel és tűzzel keresztel majd titeket.

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Cât despre mine, eu vă botez cu apă, spre pocăinţă; dar Cel ce vine după mine este mai puternic decât mine, şi eu nu sunt vrednic să-I duc încălţămintea. El vă va boteza cu Duhul Sfânt şi cu foc.

“I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Szórólapát van a kezében, és megtisztítja szérűjét, a gabonát csűrbe takarja, a polyvát pedig megégeti olthatatlan tűzzel.

A kinek szóró lapát van az ő kezében, és megtisztítja az ő szérűjét; és az ő gabonáját csűrbe takarítja, a polyvát pedig megégeti olthatatlan tűzzel.

Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Acela Îşi are lopata în mână, Îşi va curăţa cu desăvârşire aria şi Îşi va strânge grâul în grânar; dar pleava o va arde într-un foc care nu se stinge.”

His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”

Akkor Jézus Galileából a Jordán mellé ment Jánoshoz, hogy megkeresztelkedjék általa.

Akkor eljöve Jézus Galileából a Jordán mellé Jánoshoz, hogy megkeresztelkedjék ő általa.

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

Atunci a venit Isus din Galileea la Iordan, la Ioan, ca să fie botezat de el.

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him.

János azonban tiltakozott, és azt mondta: Nekem kell általad megkereszteltetnem, és te jössz hozzám?

János azonban visszatartja vala őt, mondván: Nékem kell általad megkeresztelkednem, és te jősz én hozzám?

But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

Dar Ioan căuta să-L oprească. „Eu”, zicea el, „am trebuinţă să fiu botezat de Tine, şi Tu vii la mine?”

John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”

Jézus pedig így felelt: Hagyd ezt most, mert így illik nekünk minden igazságot betöltenünk. János erre engedett neki.

Jézus pedig felelvén, monda néki: Engedj most, mert így illik nékünk minden igazságot betöltenünk. Ekkor engede néki.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Drept răspuns, Isus i-a zis: „Lasă-Mă acum, căci aşa se cade să împlinim tot ce trebuie împlinit.” Atunci Ioan L-a lăsat.

But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented.

Amint Jézus megkeresztelkedett, azonnal kilépett a vízből, és íme, megnyílt neki a menny, és látta, amint az Isten Lelke leszáll rá, mint egy galamb.

És Jézus megkeresztelkedvén, azonnal kijöve a vízből; és ímé az egek megnyilatkozának néki, és ő látá az Istennek Lelkét alájőni mintegy galambot és ő reá szállani.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

De îndată ce a fost botezat, Isus a ieşit afară din apă. Şi în clipa aceea, cerurile s-au deschis, şi a văzut pe Duhul lui Dumnezeu coborându-Se în chip de porumbel şi venind peste El.

And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him;

És íme, egy mennyei hang ezt mondta: Ez az én szeretett Fiam, akiben gyönyörködöm.

És ímé egy égi hang ezt mondja vala: Ez amaz én szerelmes fiam, a kiben én gyönyörködöm.

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Şi din ceruri s-a auzit un glas care zicea: „Acesta este Fiul Meu preaiubit în care Îmi găsesc plăcerea.”

and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
