Tudjátok, hogy két nap múlva lesz a húsvéti ünnep, és az Emberfiát átadják, hogy megfeszítsék.

Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

„Ştiţi că după două zile va fi Paştile; şi Fiul omului va fi dat ca să fie răstignit!”

“You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”

Ekkor összegyűltek a főpapok, az írástudók és a nép vénei a főpap udvarába, akit Kajafásnak hívtak,

Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.

odament hozzá egy asszony, akinél drága kenetnek alabástromszelencéje volt, és amikor az asztalnál ült, a fejére öntötte a kenetet.

There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

s-a apropiat de El o femeie cu un vas de alabastru cu mir foarte scump; şi, pe când stătea El la masă, ea a turnat mirul pe capul Lui.

a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he reclined at table.

Tanítványai pedig ennek láttán bosszankodtak, és azt mondták: Mire való ez a pazarlás?

Látván pedig ezt az ő tanítványai, bosszankodának, mondván: Mire való ez a tékozlás?

But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

Ucenicilor le-a fost necaz, când au văzut lucrul acesta, şi au zis: „Ce rost are risipa aceasta?

And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?

Mert eladhatták volna ezt nagy áron, és a szegényeknek adhatták volna.

For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

Mirul acesta s-ar fi putut vinde foarte scump, şi banii să se dea săracilor.”

For this could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor.”

Jézus ezt észrevette, és így szólt hozzájuk: Miért bántjátok ezt az asszonyt? Hiszen jót tett velem.

Mikor pedig ezt eszébe vette Jézus, monda nékik: Miért bántjátok ezt az asszonyt? hiszen jó dolgot cselekedett én velem.

When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

Când a auzit Isus, le-a zis: „De ce faceţi supărare femeii? Ea a făcut un lucru frumos faţă de Mine.

But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful thing to me.

For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

Mert amikor ezt a kenetet a testemre öntötte, a temetésemre nézve tette.

Mert hogy ő ezt a kenetet testemre töltötte, az én temetésemre nézve cselekedte azt.

For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

Dacă a turnat acest mir pe trupul Meu, ea a făcut lucrul acesta în vederea pregătirii Mele pentru îngropare.

In pouring this ointment on my body, she has done it to prepare me for burial.

Bizony mondom nektek: Bárhol a világon hirdetik az evangéliumot, azt is elbeszélik, amit ő velem tett, az ő emlékezetére.

Bizony mondom néktek: Valahol az egész világon prédikáltatik az evangyéliom, a mit ez én velem cselekedék, az is hirdettetik az ő emlékezetére.

Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Adevărat vă spun că oriunde va fi propovăduită Evanghelia aceasta, în toată lumea, se va spune şi ce a făcut femeia aceasta, spre pomenirea ei.”

Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”

és azt mondta: Mit adnátok nekem, ha a kezetekbe adnám őt? Azok pedig harminc ezüstpénzt számoltak ki neki.

Monda: Mit akartok nékem adni, és én kezetekbe adom őt? Azok pedig rendelének néki harmincz ezüst pénzt.

And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

şi le-a zis: „Ce vreţi să-mi daţi, şi-L voi da în mâinile voastre?” Ei i-au cântărit treizeci de arginţi.

and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.

A kovásztalan kenyerek első napján pedig Jézushoz mentek a tanítványok, és megkérdezték: Hol akarod megenni a húsvéti bárányt, hol készítsük el neked?

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

În ziua dintâi a praznicului Azimelor, ucenicii au venit la Isus şi I-au zis: „Unde vrei să-Ţi pregătim să mănânci paştile?”

Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Where will you have us prepare for you to eat the Passover?”

Ő pedig így válaszolt: Menjetek be a városba egy bizonyos emberhez, és mondjátok meg neki, hogy a Mester üzeni: Az én időm közel van, nálad tartom meg a húsvétot tanítványaimmal.

And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

El le-a răspuns: „Duceţi-vă în cetate la cutare om şi spuneţi-i: „Învăţătorul zice: „Vremea Mea este aproape; voi face Paştile cu ucenicii Mei în casa ta.”

He said, “Go into the city to a certain man and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.’”

És úgy cselekedtek a tanítványok, amint Jézus parancsolta nekik, és elkészítették a húsvéti bárányt.

És úgy cselekedének a tanítványok, a mint Jézus parancsolta vala nékik; és elkészíték a husvéti bárányt.

And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

Ucenicii au făcut cum le poruncise Isus şi au pregătit paştile.

And the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover.

Amikor pedig beesteledett, letelepedett a tizenkettővel.

Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

Seara, Isus a şezut la masă cu cei doisprezece ucenici ai Săi.

When it was evening, he reclined at table with the twelve.

Evés közben így szólt: Bizony mondom nektek, egyikőtök elárul engem.

És a mikor esznek vala, monda: Bizony mondom néktek, ti közületek egy elárul engem.

And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

Pe când mâncau, El a zis: „Adevărat vă spun că unul din voi Mă va vinde.”

And as they were eating, he said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”

Fölöttébb megszomorodtak, és elkezdték egyenként kérdezgetni: Csak nem én vagyok az, Uram?

És felettébb megszomorodva, kezdék mindannyian mondani néki: Én vagyok-é az, Uram?

And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

Ei s-au întristat foarte mult şi au început să-I zică unul după altul: „Nu cumva sunt eu, Doamne?”

And they were very sorrowful and began to say to him one after another, “Is it I, Lord?”

Ő pedig így válaszolt: Aki velem együtt mártja kezét a tálba, az árul el engem.

And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

Drept răspuns, El le-a zis: „Cel ce a întins cu Mine mâna în blid acela Mă va vinde.

He answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me.

Az Emberfia jóllehet elmegy, amint meg van írva felőle, de jaj annak az embernek, aki az Emberfiát elárulja; jobb lett volna annak az embernek, ha meg sem születik!

Az embernek Fia jóllehet elmegyen, a mint meg van írva felőle, de jaj annak az embernek, a ki az embernek Fiát elárulja; jobb volna annak az embernek, ha nem született volna.

The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Negreşit, Fiul omului Se duce după cum este scris despre El. Dar vai de omul acela prin care este vândut Fiul omului! Mai bine ar fi fost pentru el să nu se fi născut!”

The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”

Megszólalt Júdás is, aki elárulta őt, és azt kérdezte: Csak nem én vagyok az, Mester? Mire ő így válaszolt: Te mondtad.

Megszólalván Júdás is, a ki elárulja vala őt, monda: Én vagyok-é az, Mester? Monda néki: Te mondád.

Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

Iuda, vânzătorul, a luat cuvântul şi I-a zis: „Nu cumva sunt eu, Învăţătorule?” „Da”, i-a răspuns Isus, „tu eşti!”

Judas, who would betray him, answered, “Is it I, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You have said so.”

Amikor pedig ettek, Jézus vette a kenyeret, hálát adott, megtörte, a tanítványoknak adta, és ezt mondta: Vegyétek, egyétek, ez az én testem!

Mikor pedig evének, vevé Jézus a kenyeret és hálákat adván, megtöré és adá a tanítványoknak, és monda: Vegyétek, egyétek; ez az én testem.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

Pe când mâncau ei, Isus a luat o pâine; şi, după ce a binecuvântat, a frânt-o şi a dat-o ucenicilor, zicând: „Luaţi, mâncaţi; acesta este trupul Meu.”

Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”

Majd vette a poharat, hálát adott, átadta nekik, és ezt mondta: Igyatok ebből mindnyájan,

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

căci acesta este sângele Meu, sângele legământului celui nou, care se varsă pentru mulţi, spre iertarea păcatelor.

for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Mondom pedig nektek, hogy mostantól fogva nem iszom a szőlőtőkének terméséből mindama napig, amikor újat iszom veletek az én Atyám országában.

Mondom pedig néktek, hogy: Mostantól fogva nem iszom a szőlőtőkének ebből a terméséből mind ama napig, a mikor újan iszom azt veletek az én Atyámnak országában.

But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

Vă spun că, de acum încolo nu voi mai bea din acest rod al viţei, până în ziua când îl voi bea cu voi nou în Împărăţia Tatălui Meu.”

I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Akkor azt mondta nekik Jézus: Ezen az éjszakán mindnyájan megbotránkoztok bennem, mert meg van írva: Megverem a pásztort, és elszélednek a nyáj juhai.

Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

Atunci Isus le-a zis: „În noaptea aceasta, toţi veţi găsi în Mine o pricină de poticnire; căci este scris: „Voi bate Păstorul, şi oile turmei vor fi risipite.”

Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

De feltámadásom után előttetek megyek majd Galileába.

But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

Péter pedig azt mondta neki: Ha mindnyájan megbotránkoznak is benned, én soha meg nem botránkozom.

Péter pedig felelvén, monda néki: Ha mindnyájan megbotránkoznak is te benned, én soha meg nem botránkozom.

Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

Petru a luat cuvântul şi I-a zis: „Chiar dacă toţi ar găsi în Tine o pricină de poticnire, eu niciodată nu voi găsi în Tine o pricină de poticnire.”

Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.”

Erre Jézus így válaszolt: Bizony mondom neked, ezen az éjszakán, mielőtt megszólal a kakas, háromszor megtagadsz engem.

Monda néki Jézus: Bizony mondom néked, ezen az éjszakán, mielőtt megszólal a kakas, háromszor megtagadsz engem.

Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

„Adevărat îţi spun”, i-a zis Isus, „că tu, chiar în noaptea aceasta, înainte ca să cânte cocoşul, te vei lepăda de Mine de trei ori.”

Jesus said to him, “Truly, I tell you, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Péter azt mondta: Ha meg kell veled halnom, akkor sem tagadlak meg téged. Hasonlóképpen szólt a többi tanítvány is.

Monda néki Péter: Ha meg kell is veled halnom, meg nem tagadlak téged. Hasonlóképen szólnak vala a többi tanítványok is.

Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

Petru I-a răspuns: „Chiar dacă ar trebui să mor cu Tine, tot nu mă voi lepăda de Tine.” Şi toţi ucenicii au spus acelaşi lucru.

Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you!” And all the disciples said the same.

Akkor elment velük Jézus egy helyre, amelyet Gecsemánénak hívtak, és azt mondta a tanítványoknak: Üljetek le itt, míg elmegyek, és amott imádkozom.

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.”

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Majd azt mondta nekik: Felette igen szomorú az én lelkem mindhalálig, maradjatok itt, és virrasszatok velem!

Ekkor monda nékik: Felette igen szomorú az én lelkem mind halálig! maradjatok itt és vigyázzatok én velem.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Isus le-a zis atunci: „Sufletul Meu este cuprins de o întristare de moarte; rămâneţi aici şi vegheaţi împreună cu Mine.”

Then he said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.”

Egy kissé előrement, arcra borult, és e szavakkal könyörgött: Atyám, ha lehetséges, múljék el tőlem ez a pohár, mindazáltal ne úgy legyen, amint én akarom, hanem amint te.

És egy kissé előre menve, arczra borula, könyörögvén és mondván: Atyám! ha lehetséges, múljék el tőlem e pohár; mindazáltal ne úgy legyen a mint én akarom, hanem a mint te.

And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

Majd visszament a tanítványokhoz, alva találta őket, és azt mondta Péternek: Ennyire nem tudtok vigyázni velem még egy órát sem?

Akkor méne a tanítványokhoz és aluva találá őket, és monda Péternek: Így nem birtatok vigyázni velem egy óráig sem!?

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Vegheaţi şi rugaţi-vă, ca să nu cădeţi în ispită; duhul, în adevăr, este plin de râvnă, dar carnea este neputincioasă.”

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Ismét elment másodszor is, és könyörgött: Atyám, ha nem múlhat el tőlem ez a pohár, hogy ki ne igyam, legyen meg a te akaratod.

Ismét elméne másodszor is, és könyörge, mondván: Atyám! ha el nem múlhatik tőlem e pohár, hogy ki ne igyam, legyen meg a te akaratod.

He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

S-a depărtat a doua oară şi S-a rugat, zicând: „Tată, dacă nu se poate să se îndepărteze de Mine paharul acesta, fără să-l beau, facă-se voia Ta!”

Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”

Amikor visszatért, ismét alva találta őket, mert szemük megnehezedett.

És mikor visszatér vala, ismét aluva találá őket; mert megnehezedtek vala az ő szemeik.

And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.

És otthagyva őket ismét elment, és harmadszor is ugyanazokkal a szavakkal imádkozott.

És ott hagyva őket, ismét elméne és imádkozék harmadszor, ugyanazon beszéddel szólván.

Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

És amikor még beszélt, íme, Júdás, egy a tizenkettő közül eljött, és vele együtt nagy sokaság fegyverekkel és botokkal a főpapoktól és a nép véneitől.

És még mikor beszél vala, ímé Júdás, egy a tizenkettő közül, eljöve és vele együtt sok nép fegyverekkel és fustélyokkal, a főpapoktól és a nép véneitől.

And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Pe când vorbea El încă, iată că vine Iuda, unul din cei doisprezece, cu o gloată mare, cu săbii şi cu ciomege, trimişi de preoţii cei mai de seamă şi de bătrânii norodului.

While he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people.

Árulója pedig jelt adott nekik, mondva: Akit majd megcsókolok, ő az, őt kell elfognotok.

A ki pedig őt elárulja vala, jelt ada nékik, mondván: A kit én majd megcsókolok, ő az, fogjátok meg őt.

Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Vânzătorul le dăduse semnul acesta: „Pe care-L voi săruta eu, Acela este; să puneţi mâna pe El!”

Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I will kiss is the man; seize him.”

Egyenesen Jézushoz ment, és így szólt: Üdvöz légy, Mester! – és megcsókolta.

És mindjárt Jézushoz lépvén, monda: Üdvöz légy Mester! és megcsókolá őt.

And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

Îndată, Iuda s-a apropiat de Isus şi I-a zis: „Plecăciune, Învăţătorule!” Şi L-a sărutat.

And he came up to Jesus at once and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” And he kissed him.

And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him.

And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

Şi unul din cei ce erau cu Isus a întins mâna, a scos sabia, a lovit pe robul marelui preot şi i-a tăiat urechea.

And behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear.

De Jézus azt mondta neki: Tedd helyére szablyádat, mert akik fegyvert fognak, fegyver által kell elveszniük.

Akkor monda néki Jézus: Tedd helyére szablyádat; mert a kik fegyvert fognak, fegyverrel kell veszniök.

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Atunci Isus i-a zis: „Pune-ţi sabia la locul ei; căci toţi cei ce scot sabia de sabie vor pieri.

Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?

De akkor hogyan teljesednének be az Írások, hogy ennek így kell történnie?

But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Majd abban az órában még így szólt a sokasághoz: Mint egy bűnöző ellen, úgy jöttetek fegyverekkel és botokkal, hogy elfogjatok. Mindennap templomotokban ültem és tanítottam, mégsem fogtatok el.

Ugyanekkor monda Jézus a sokaságnak: Mint valami latorra, úgy jöttetek fegyverekkel és fustélyokkal, hogy megfogjatok engem? Naponként nálatok ültem, tanítván a templomban, és nem fogtatok meg engem.

In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

În clipa aceea, Isus a zis gloatelor: „Aţi ieşit ca după un tâlhar, cu săbii şi cu ciomege, ca să Mă prindeţi. În toate zilele şedeam în mijlocul vostru şi învăţam norodul în Templu, şi n-aţi pus mâna pe Mine.

At that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me.

Azok pedig, akik elfogták Jézust, Kajafáshoz, a főpaphoz vitték, ahol az írástudók és a vének már összegyűltek.

Amazok pedig megfogván Jézust, vivék Kajafáshoz, a főpaphoz, a hol az írástudók és a vének egybegyűltek vala.

And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

Cei ce au prins pe Isus, L-au dus la marele preot Caiafa, unde erau adunaţi cărturarii şi bătrânii.

Then those who had seized Jesus led him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders had gathered.

But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

And Peter was following him at a distance, as far as the courtyard of the high priest, and going inside he sat with the guards to see the end.

Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

Preoţii cei mai de seamă, bătrânii şi tot soborul căutau vreo mărturie mincinoasă împotriva lui Isus, ca să-L poată omorî.

Now the chief priests and the whole council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death,

But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. At last two came forward

And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

şi au spus: „Acesta a zis: „Eu pot să stric Templul lui Dumnezeu şi să-l zidesc iarăşi în trei zile.”

and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.’”

A főpap fölkelt, és azt mondta neki: Semmit sem felelsz? Micsoda tanúbizonyságot tesznek ezek ellened?

És fölkelvén a főpap, monda néki: Semmit sem felelsz-é? Micsoda tanúbizonyságot tesznek ezek ellened?

And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

Marele preot s-a sculat în picioare şi I-a zis: „Nu răspunzi nimic? Ce mărturisesc aceştia împotriva Ta?”

And the high priest stood up and said, “Have you no answer to make? What is it that these men testify against you?”

Jézus pedig hallgatott. És a főpap azt mondta neki: Az élő Istenre kényszerítlek téged, hogy mondd meg nekünk, ha te vagy a Krisztus, az Isten Fia!

Jézus pedig hallgat vala. És felelvén a főpap, monda néki: Az élő Istenre kényszerítelek téged, hogy mondd meg nékünk, ha te vagy-é a Krisztus, az Istennek Fia?

But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Isus tăcea. Şi marele preot a luat cuvântul şi I-a zis: „Te jur, pe Dumnezeul cel Viu, să ne spui dacă eşti Hristosul, Fiul lui Dumnezeu.”

But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him, “I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.”

Jézus így válaszolt: Te mondtad. Sőt mondom nektek: Mostantól fogva meglátjátok az Emberfiát az Istennek hatalmas jobbján ülni és eljönni az égnek felhőiben.

Monda néki Jézus: Te mondád. Sőt mondom néktek: Mostantól fogva meglátjátok az embernek Fiát ülni az Istennek hatalmas jobbján, és eljőni az égnek felhőiben.

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

„Da”, i-a răspuns Isus, „sunt! Ba mai mult, vă spun că de acum încolo veţi vedea pe Fiul omului şezând la dreapta puterii lui Dumnezeu şi venind pe norii cerului.”

Jesus said to him, “You have said so. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

Ekkor a főpap megszaggatta a ruháit, és azt mondta: Káromlást szólt. Mi szükségünk van még tanúkra? Íme, most hallottátok káromlását.

Ekkor a főpap megszaggatá a maga ruháit, és monda: Káromlást szólott. Mi szükségünk van még bizonyságokra? Ímé most hallottátok az ő káromlását.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Then the high priest tore his robes and said, “He has uttered blasphemy. What further witnesses do we need? You have now heard his blasphemy.

Mit gondoltok? Azok pedig így válaszoltak: Halálra méltó!

What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

Ce credeţi?” Ei au răspuns: „Este vinovat, să fie pedepsit cu moartea.”

What is your judgment?” They answered, “He deserves death.”

Akkor szembeköpdösték, és arcul csapdosták, némelyek pedig botokkal verték,

Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,

Péter pedig kint ült az udvaron, amikor odament hozzá egy szolgálóleány, és azt mondta: Te is a galileai Jézussal voltál!

Péter pedig künn ül vala az udvaron, és hozzá menvén egy szolgálóleány, monda: Te is a Galileabeli Jézussal valál.

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came up to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.”

But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you mean.”

Amikor pedig kiment a tornácra, meglátta őt egy másik szolgálóleány, és azt mondta az ott levőknek: Ez is a názáreti Jézussal volt!

Mikor pedig kiméne a tornáczra meglátá őt egy másik szolgálóleány, és monda az ott levőknek: Ez is a názáreti Jézussal vala.

And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

Când a ieşit în pridvor, l-a văzut o altă slujnică şi a zis celor de acolo: „Şi acesta era cu Isus din Nazaret.”

And when he went out to the entrance, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

És Péter ismét esküdözve tagadott, kijelentve: Nem is ismerem ezt az embert.

És ismét megtagadá esküvéssel, hogy: Nem is ismerem ezt az embert.

And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

El s-a lepădat iarăşi, cu un jurământ, şi a zis: „Nu cunosc pe Omul acesta!”

And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.”

Nem sokkal később pedig az ott álldogálók mentek hozzá, és ezt mondták Péternek: Bizony te is közülük való vagy, hiszen a beszéded is elárul téged.

Kevés idő múlva pedig az ott álldogálók menének hozzá, és mondának Péternek: Bizony te is közülök való vagy; hiszen a te beszéded is elárul téged.

And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

Peste puţin, cei ce stăteau acolo s-au apropiat şi au zis lui Petru: „Nu mai încape îndoială că şi tu eşti unul din oamenii aceia, căci şi vorba te dă de gol.”

After a little while the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Certainly you too are one of them, for your accent betrays you.”

Ekkor átkozódni és esküdözni kezde, hogy: Nem ismerem ezt az embert. És a kakas azonnal megszólala.

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Atunci el a început să se blesteme şi să se jure, zicând: „Nu cunosc pe Omul acesta!” În clipa aceea a cântat cocoşul.

Then he began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, “I do not know the man.” And immediately the rooster crowed.

Ekkor Péter visszaemlékezett Jézus szavaira, aki ezt mondta neki: Mielőtt a kakas megszólalna, háromszor megtagadsz engem. Majd kiment, és keserves sírásra fakadt.

És megemlékezék Péter a Jézus beszédéről, ki ezt mondotta vala néki: Mielőtt a kakas szólana, háromszor megtagadsz engem; és kimenvén onnan, keservesen síra.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Şi Petru şi-a adus aminte de vorba pe care i-o spusese Isus: „Înainte ca să cânte cocoşul, te vei lepăda de Mine de trei ori.” Şi a ieşit afară şi a plâns cu amar.

And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.
