Volt egy ember Benjámin nemzetségéből, akinek a neve Kís volt, Abiél fia, aki Cerór fia, aki Bekórat fia, aki Afíah fia, aki Benjámin házából való volt. Igen tehetős ember volt.

És volt egy ember a Benjámin [nemzetségéből,] kinek neve vala Kis, Abielnek fia, ki Sérornak fia, ki Bekoráthnak fia, ki Afiákhnak fia, ki Benjámin [házából] való volt; igen tehetős ember vala.

Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power.

Era un om din Beniamin, numit Chis, fiul lui Abiel, fiul lui Ţeror, fiul lui Becorat, fiul lui Afiah, fiul unui beniamit, un om tare şi voinic.

There was a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish, the son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah, a Benjaminite, a man of wealth.

Annak volt egy Saul nevű fia, igen szép ifjú. Senki sem volt nála szebb Izráel fiai közül. Egy fejjel magasabb volt az egész népnél.

És volt néki egy Saul nevű fia, ifjú és szép; ő nála Izráel fiai közül senki sem volt szebb; vállától felfelé magasabb vala az egész népnél.

And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.

El avea un fiu cu numele Saul, tânăr şi frumos, mai frumos decât oricare din copiii lui Israel. Şi-i întrecea pe toţi în înălţime, de la umăr în sus.

And he had a son whose name was Saul, a handsome young man. There was not a man among the people of Israel more handsome than he. From his shoulders upward he was taller than any of the people.

Egyszer elvesztek Kísnek, Saul apjának a szamarai. Azt mondta Kís a fiának, Saulnak: Végy magad mellé egy szolgát, kelj föl és menj el, keresd meg a szamarakat.

És elvesztek vala Kisnek, a Saul atyjának szamarai, és monda Kis Saulnak, az ő fiának: Végy magad mellé egyet a szolgák közül, és kelj fel, menj el, keresd meg a szamarakat.

And the asses of Kish Saul's father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses.

Măgăriţele lui Chis, tatăl lui Saul, s-au rătăcit; şi Chis a zis fiului său Saul: „Ia cu tine o slugă, scoală-te şi du-te de caută măgăriţele.”

Now the donkeys of Kish, Saul’s father, were lost. So Kish said to Saul his son, “Take one of the young men with you, and arise, go and look for the donkeys.”

Bejárták az Efraim hegységét, és bejárták Sálisá földjét, de ott sem találták meg. Majd bejárták Saalim földjét, de nem voltak ott sem. Végül bejárták Benjámin földjét, de nem találták meg.

And he passed through mount Ephraim, and passed through the land of Shalisha, but they found them not: then they passed through the land of Shalim, and there they were not: and he passed through the land of the Benjamites, but they found them not.

And he passed through the hill country of Ephraim and passed through the land of Shalishah, but they did not find them. And they passed through the land of Shaalim, but they were not there. Then they passed through the land of Benjamin, but did not find them.

Amikor Cúf földjére jutottak, azt mondta Saul a vele levő szolgának: Gyere, térjünk vissza, nehogy apám, elvetve a szamarak gondját, miattunk aggódjék.

Mikor pedig a Suf földére jutottak, monda Saul az ő szolgájának, a ki vele volt: Jer, térjünk vissza, nehogy atyám elvetve a szamarak gondját, miattunk aggódjék.

And when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father leave caring for the asses, and take thought for us.

Ajunseseră în ţara Ţuf, când Saul a zis slugii care îl însoţea: „Haide să ne întoarcem, ca nu cumva tatăl meu, lăsând măgăriţele, să fie îngrijorat de noi.”

When they came to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant who was with him, “Come, let us go back, lest my father cease to care about the donkeys and become anxious about us.”

De ő így felelt neki: Íme, Isten embere most ebben a városban van, és az az ember tiszteletben áll. Mindaz, amit mond, beteljesedik. Most tehát menjünk oda, talán meg tudja mondani nekünk is, hogy melyik úton menjünk.

Az pedig monda néki: Ímé az Istennek embere most e városban van, és az az ember tiszteletben áll; mind az, a mit mond, beteljesedik. Most azért menjünk el oda, talán megmondja nékünk is a mi útunkat, hogy merre menjünk.

And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go.

Sluga i-a zis: „Iată că în cetatea aceasta este un om al lui Dumnezeu, un om cu vază; tot ce spune el nu se poate să nu se întâmple. Haidem la el dar; poate că ne va arăta drumul pe care trebuie să apucăm.”

But he said to him, “Behold, there is a man of God in this city, and he is a man who is held in honor; all that he says comes true. So now let us go there. Perhaps he can tell us the way we should go.”

Saul ezt mondta a szolgájának: Elmehetünk oda, de mit vigyünk annak az embernek? Hiszen a kenyér elfogyott a tarisznyánkból, és nincsen mit vinnünk ajándékba Isten emberének. Mi van nálunk?

És monda Saul az ő szolgájának: Elmehetünk oda, de mit vigyünk ez embernek? mert a kenyér elfogyott tarisznyánkból, és nincsen mit vigyünk ajándékba az Isten emberének; mi van nálunk?

Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? for the bread is spent in our vessels, and there is not a present to bring to the man of God: what have we?

Saul a zis slugii sale: „Dar dacă mergem acolo, ce să aducem omului lui Dumnezeu? Căci nu mai avem merinde în saci şi n-avem niciun dar de adus omului lui Dumnezeu. Ce avem?”

Then Saul said to his servant, “But if we go, what can we bring the man? For the bread in our sacks is gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?”

A szolga pedig ezt felelte Saulnak: Íme, van nálam egy negyed ezüstsékel, odaadom ezt Isten emberének, hogy adjon nekünk útbaigazítást.

A szolga pedig felele ismét Saulnak, és monda: Ímé van nálam egy ezüst siklusnak negyedrésze, oda adom ezt az Isten emberének, hogy megmondja nékünk a mi útunkat.

And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.

Sluga a luat din nou cuvântul şi a zis lui Saul: „Uite, eu am la mine un sfert de siclu de argint; îl voi da omului lui Dumnezeu, şi ne va arăta drumul.” –

The servant answered Saul again, “Here, I have with me a quarter of a shekel of silver, and I will give it to the man of God to tell us our way.”

(Beforetime in Israel, when a man went to enquire of God, thus he spake, Come, and let us go to the seer: for he that is now called a Prophet was beforetime called a Seer.)

(Formerly in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he said, “Come, let us go to the seer,” for today’s “prophet” was formerly called a seer.)

Saul ezt mondta a szolgájának: Helyesen beszélsz. Gyere, menjünk el! Elmentek tehát abba a városba, ahol Isten embere volt.

És Saul monda az ő szolgájának: Helyesen beszélsz; jer, menjünk el. Elmenének azért a városba, hol az Istennek embere volt.

Then said Saul to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.

Saul a zis slugii: „Ai dreptate; haidem să mergem!” Şi s-au dus în cetatea unde era omul lui Dumnezeu.

And Saul said to his servant, “Well said; come, let us go.” So they went to the city where the man of God was.

Amint pedig a domboldalon fölfelé mentek a városba, leányokkal találkoztak, akik vizet meríteni jöttek ki, és megkérdezték tőlük: Itt van-e a látó?

A mint pedig a város felhágóján menének, leányokkal találkozának, a kik vizet meríteni jöttek ki, és mondának nékik: Itt van-é a néző?

And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here?

Pe când se suiau ei spre cetate, au întâlnit nişte fete care ieşiseră să scoată apă; şi le-au zis: „Aici este văzătorul?”

As they went up the hill to the city, they met young women coming out to draw water and said to them, “Is the seer here?”

Ők így feleltek nekik: Igen, éppen itt van, csak siess, mert ma érkezett a városba, hiszen ma áldozati lakomája lesz a népnek a magaslaton.

És azok felelének nékik, és mondának: Igen, amott van előtted, siess azért, mert ma jött a városba, mivel ma lesz a népnek véres áldozata ím e hegyen.

And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, he is before you: make haste now, for he came to day to the city; for there is a sacrifice of the people to day in the high place:

Ele le-au răspuns: „Da, iată-l înaintea ta; dar du-te repede, astăzi a venit în cetate, pentru că poporul aduce jertfă pe înălţime.

They answered, “He is; behold, he is just ahead of you. Hurry. He has come just now to the city, because the people have a sacrifice today on the high place.

Ha bementek a városba, azonnal megtaláljátok, mielőtt fölmenne a hegyre, hogy egyék. Mert a nép addig nem eszik, amíg ő el nem jön, mivel a véresáldozatot ő áldja meg, és csak azután esznek a meghívottak. Azért csak menjetek föl, mert most ott fogjátok őt találni!

A mint a városba mentek, azonnal megtaláljátok, mielőtt felmenne a hegyre, hogy egyék; mert a nép nem eszik addig, míg ő el nem jön, mivel a véres áldozatot ő áldja meg, és azután esznek a meghívottak. Azért most menjetek fel, mert épen most fogjátok őt megtalálni.

As soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; and afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him.

Când veţi intra în cetate, îl veţi găsi înainte ca să se suie la locul înalt să mănânce; căci poporul nu mănâncă până nu vine el, fiindcă el trebuie să binecuvânteze jertfa; după aceea, mănâncă şi cei poftiţi. Suiţi-vă, dar, căci acum îl veţi găsi.”

As soon as you enter the city you will find him, before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people will not eat till he comes, since he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. Now go up, for you will meet him immediately.”

Fölmentek tehát a városba. Éppen a városba értek, amikor jött kifelé Sámuel velük szemben, hogy fölmenjen a hegyre.

Felmenének azért a városba. És mikor a városban menének, ímé akkor jöve ki Sámuel velök szemben, hogy a hegyre felmenjen.

And they went up into the city: and when they were come into the city, behold, Samuel came out against them, for to go up to the high place.

Şi s-au suit în cetate. Tocmai când intrau pe poarta cetăţii, au fost întâlniţi de Samuel, care ieşea să se suie pe înălţime.

So they went up to the city. As they were entering the city, they saw Samuel coming out toward them on his way up to the high place.

Az ÚR pedig azt jelentette ki Sámuel fülébe egy nappal azelőtt, hogy Saul eljött:

És az Úr kijelentette Sámuelnek füleibe, egy nappal az előtt, hogy Saul eljött, mondván:

Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,

Dar, cu o zi mai înainte de venirea lui Saul, Domnul înştiinţase pe Samuel şi-i zisese:

Now the day before Saul came, the LORD had revealed to Samuel:

Holnap ilyenkor küldök hozzád egy embert Benjámin földjéről. Kend fel őt népem, Izráel fejedelméül, mert ő szabadítja meg népemet a filiszteusok kezéből. Mert rátekintettem népem nyomorúságára, mivel kiáltásuk felhatott hozzám.

Holnap ilyenkor küldök hozzád egy embert a Benjámin földéről, és kend fel őt fejedelmül az én népem, Izráel felett, hogy megszabadítsa az én népemet a Filiszteusok kezéből; mert megtekintém az én népemet, mivel felhatott az ő kiáltása hozzám.

To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.

„Mâine, la ceasul acesta, îţi voi trimite un om din ţara lui Beniamin, şi să-l ungi drept căpetenie a poporului Meu, Israel. El va scăpa poporul Meu din mâna filistenilor, căci am căutat cu îndurare spre poporul Meu, pentru că strigătul lui a ajuns până la Mine.”

“Tomorrow about this time I will send to you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be prince over my people Israel. He shall save my people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have seen my people, because their cry has come to me.”

Mikor pedig Sámuel meglátta Sault, így szólt neki az ÚR: Íme, ez az az ember, akiről azt mondtam neked, hogy ő fog uralkodni népem fölött.

Mikor pedig Sámuel meglátta Sault, szóla néki az Úr: Ímé ez az az ember, a kiről szólottam néked, ő uralkodjék az én népem felett.

And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.

Când a zărit Samuel pe Saul, Domnul i-a zis: „Iată omul despre care ţi-am vorbit; el va domni peste poporul Meu.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him, “Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall restrain my people.”

Saul pedig Sámuelhez lépett a kapu alatt, és megkérdezte: Mondd meg nekem, hol van itt a látó háza?

Akkor Saul a kapu alatt Sámuelhez közeledék és monda: Ugyan mondd meg nékem, hol van itt a néző háza?

Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's house is.

Saul s-a apropiat de Samuel la mijlocul porţii şi a zis: „Arată-mi, te rog, unde este casa văzătorului.”

Then Saul approached Samuel in the gate and said, “Tell me where is the house of the seer?”

Sámuel pedig így felelt Saulnak: Én vagyok az a látó. Menj föl előttem a hegyre, és egyetek ma velem, reggel pedig elbocsátalak, és megmondom neked azt is, ami szívedet nyomja.

Sámuel pedig felele Saulnak, és monda: Én vagyok az a néző; menj fel előttem a hegyre, és egyetek ma én velem, reggel pedig elbocsátlak téged, és megmondom néked mind azt, a mi szívedben van.

And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart.

Samuel a răspuns lui Saul: „Eu sunt văzătorul. Suie-te înaintea mea pe înălţime şi veţi mânca astăzi cu mine. Mâine te voi lăsa să pleci şi-ţi voi spune tot ce se petrece în inima ta.

Samuel answered Saul, “I am the seer. Go up before me to the high place, for today you shall eat with me, and in the morning I will let you go and will tell you all that is on your mind.

A szamarak miatt pedig, melyek három napja elvesztek, ne aggódjál, mert megtalálták azokat. Különben is kié mindaz, ami becses Izráel népében? Hát nem a tied és atyád egész házáé?!

A szamarak miatt pedig, melyek tőled ezelőtt három nappal elvesztek, ne aggódjál, mert megtaláltattak. És kié leend mind az, a mi Izráelben becses? Avagy nem a tiéd és a te atyádnak egész házáé?

And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father's house?

Nu te nelinişti de măgăriţele pe care le-ai pierdut acum trei zile, căci s-au găsit. Şi pentru cine este păstrat tot ce este mai de preţ în Israel? Oare nu pentru tine şi pentru toată casa tatălui tău?”

As for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not set your mind on them, for they have been found. And for whom is all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not for you and for all your father’s house?”

Saul azonban így felelt: Hát nem benjámini vagyok-e én, Izráel legkisebb törzséből való? És az én nemzetségem nem a legkisebb-e Benjámin törzsének nemzetségei között? Miért beszélsz hát így hozzám?

És Saul felele, és monda: Avagy nem Benjáminita vagyok-é én, Izráelnek legkisebb törzséből való? És az én nemzetségem nem legkisebb-é Benjámin törzsének nemzetségei között? Miért szólasz tehát hozzám ilyen módon?

And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me?

Saul a răspuns: „Oare nu sunt eu beniamit, din una din cele mai mici seminţii ale lui Israel? Şi familia mea nu este cea mai mică dintre toate familiile din seminţia lui Beniamin? Pentru ce, dar, îmi vorbeşti astfel?”

Saul answered, “Am I not a Benjaminite, from the least of the tribes of Israel? And is not my clan the humblest of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then have you spoken to me in this way?”

Akkor Sámuel megfogta Sault és a szolgáját, bevezette őket az étkezőhelyre, és nekik adta a főhelyet a meghívottak között, akik mintegy harmincan voltak.

And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which were about thirty persons.

Then Samuel took Saul and his young man and brought them into the hall and gave them a place at the head of those who had been invited, who were about thirty persons.

Sámuel odaszólt a szakácsnak: Hozd elő azt a darabot, amelyet odaadtam neked, és amelyről azt mondtam, hogy tedd félre.

És monda Sámuel a szakácsnak: Hozd elő azt a darabot, melyet odaadtam néked, és a melyről azt mondám, hogy tartsd magadnál.

And Samuel said unto the cook, Bring the portion which I gave thee, of which I said unto thee, Set it by thee.

Samuel a zis bucătarului: „Adu porţia pe care ţi-am dat-o, când ţi-am zis: „Pune-o deoparte.”

And Samuel said to the cook, “Bring the portion I gave you, of which I said to you, ‘Put it aside.’”

Akkor a szakács felhozta a combot és ami hozzávaló volt, és Saul elé tette. Sámuel pedig ezt mondta: Íme, a félretett rész, vedd magad elé, és egyél, mert erre az alkalomra tették félre azt számodra, amikorra meghívtam a népet. És Saul együtt evett azon a napon Sámuellel.

Akkor a szakács felhozta a czombot és a mi rajta volt, és Saul elé tevé. És ő monda: Ímhol a megmaradt rész, vedd magad elé és egyél, mert erre az időre tétetett az el számodra, mikor mondám: Meghívtam a népet. Evék azért Saul azon a napon Sámuellel.

And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.

Bucătarul a dat spata şi ce era pe ea şi a pus-o înaintea lui Saul. Şi Samuel a zis: „Iată ce a fost păstrat, pune-o înainte şi mănâncă, fiindcă pentru tine s-a păstrat când am poftit poporul.” Astfel Saul a mâncat cu Samuel în ziua aceea.

So the cook took up the leg and what was on it and set them before Saul. And Samuel said, “See, what was kept is set before you. Eat, because it was kept for you until the hour appointed, that you might eat with the guests.” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.

And when they were come down from the high place into the city, Samuel communed with Saul upon the top of the house.

And when they came down from the high place into the city, a bed was spread for Saul on the roof, and he lay down to sleep.

De korán fölkeltek. Az történt ugyanis, hogy hajnalhasadáskor Sámuel így kiáltott Saulnak a ház emeletén: Kelj föl, el akarlak bocsátani téged! Ekkor fölkelt Saul, és kimentek kettesben az utcára.

És korán felkelének. Történt ugyanis, hogy hajnalhasadtakor kiálta Sámuel Saulnak a felházba, mondván: Kelj fel, hogy elbocsássalak téged. És felkelt Saul, és kimenének ketten, ő és Sámuel az utczára.

And they arose early: and it came to pass about the spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul to the top of the house, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul arose, and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, abroad.

Apoi s-au sculat dis-de-dimineaţă; şi în revărsatul zorilor, Samuel a chemat pe Saul de pe acoperiş şi a zis: „Scoală-te, şi te voi însoţi.” Saul s-a sculat, şi au ieşit amândoi, el şi Samuel.

Then at the break of dawn Samuel called to Saul on the roof, “Up, that I may send you on your way.” So Saul arose, and both he and Samuel went out into the street.

Mikor pedig leértek a város végére, Sámuel ezt mondta Saulnak: Mondd meg a szolgádnak, hogy kerüljön elénk. Az eléjük került. Te pedig most állj meg, hogy elmondjam neked Isten beszédét.

Mikor pedig lemenének a város végére, Sámuel monda Saulnak: Mondd meg a szolgának, hogy menjen előre előttünk - és előre ment -, te pedig most állj meg, hogy megmondjam néked az Istennek beszédét.

And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on), but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God.

Când s-au coborât la marginea cetăţii, Samuel a zis lui Saul: „Spune slugii tale să treacă înaintea noastră.” Şi sluga a trecut înainte. „Opreşte-te acum”, a zis iarăşi Samuel, „şi-ţi voi face cunoscut cuvântul lui Dumnezeu.”

As they were going down to the outskirts of the city, Samuel said to Saul, “Tell the servant to pass on before us, and when he has passed on, stop here yourself for a while, that I may make known to you the word of God.”
