Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.

Filistenii şi-au strâns oştile ca să facă război şi s-au adunat la Soco, o cetate a lui Iuda; au tăbărât între Soco şi Azeca, la Efes-Damim.

Now the Philistines gathered their armies for battle. And they were gathered at Socoh, which belongs to Judah, and encamped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim.

A filiszteusok az innenső hegyen álltak, az izráeliek pedig a túlsó hegyen, úgy, hogy a völgy közöttük volt.

És a Filiszteusok a hegyen állottak innen, az Izráeliták pedig a hegyen állottak túlfelől, úgy hogy a völgy közöttük vala.

And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.

A filiszteusok táborából előlépett egy kiváló harcos, akit Góliátnak hívtak, és Gát városából származott. Magassága hat könyök és egy arasz volt.

És kijöve a Filiszteusok táborából egy bajnok férfiú, a kit Góliáthnak hívtak, Gáth [városából való,] kinek magassága hat sing és egy arasz vala.

And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

Atunci a ieşit un om din tabăra filistenilor şi a înaintat între cele două oştiri. El se numea Goliat, era din Gat şi avea o înălţime de şase coţi şi o palmă.

And there came out from the camp of the Philistines a champion named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass.

And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him.

The shaft of his spear was like a weaver’s beam, and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron. And his shield-bearer went before him.

Megállt, és így kiáltott oda Izráel csatasorainak: Miért vonultatok ki, és miért készülődtök harcra? Én filiszteus vagyok, ti pedig Saul szolgái. Válasszatok ki ezért magatok közül egy embert, és jöjjön ide hozzám.

És megállván, kiálta Izráel csatarendjeinek, és monda nékik: Miért jöttetek ki, hogy harczra készüljetek? Avagy nem Filiszteus vagyok-é én és ti Saul szolgái? Válaszszatok azért magatok közül egy embert, és jőjjön le hozzám.

And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.

Filisteanul s-a oprit; şi, vorbind oştilor lui Israel aşezate în şiruri de bătaie, le-a strigat: „Pentru ce ieşiţi să vă aşezaţi în şiruri de bătaie? Nu sunt eu filistean şi nu sunteţi voi slujitorii lui Saul? Alegeţi un om care să se coboare împotriva mea!

He stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why have you come out to draw up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.

Ha meg mer velem vívni, és legyőz, akkor mi a ti szolgáitok leszünk. De ha én győzöm le és megölöm őt, akkor ti lesztek a mi szolgáink, és ti szolgáltok nekünk.

Ha azután meg bír velem vívni és engem legyőz: akkor mi a ti szolgáitok leszünk; ha pedig én győzöm le őt és megölöm: akkor ti legyetek a mi szolgáink, hogy szolgáljatok nékünk.

If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.

Dacă va putea să se bată cu mine şi să mă omoare, noi vom fi robii voştri; dar dacă-l voi birui şi-l voi omorî eu, voi ne veţi fi robi nouă şi ne veţi sluji.”

If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will be your servants. But if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall be our servants and serve us.”

Ezt is mondta még a filiszteus: Én ma gyalázattal illetem Izráel seregét. Állítsatok hát ki ellenem egy embert, hogy megvívjunk egymással.

And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.

And the Philistine said, “I defy the ranks of Israel this day. Give me a man, that we may fight together.”

When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

Dávid egy Júda városából, Betlehemből való efrátai embernek volt a fia, akit Isainak hívtak, és nyolc fia volt. Ez a férfi Saul idejében idős, előrehaladt korú ember volt.

Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.

Şi David era fiul efratitului aceluia din Betleemul lui Iuda, numit Isai, care avea opt fii. Pe vremea lui Saul, el era bătrân, înaintat în vârstă.

Now David was the son of an Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, named Jesse, who had eight sons. In the days of Saul the man was already old and advanced in years.

And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.

Filisteanul înainta dimineaţa şi seara şi s-a înfăţişat astfel timp de patruzeci de zile.

For forty days the Philistine came forward and took his stand, morning and evening.

Isai egyszer azt mondta fiának, Dávidnak: Vedd testvéreid számára ezt az efa pörkölt búzát és ezt a tíz kenyeret. Siess, vidd el a táborba bátyáidhoz.

And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp of thy brethren;

Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.

Now Saul and they and all the men of Israel were in the Valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.

And David rose early in the morning and left the sheep with a keeper and took the provisions and went, as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the encampment as the host was going out to the battle line, shouting the war cry.

And David left the things in charge of the keeper of the baggage and ran to the ranks and went and greeted his brothers.

And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.

Pe când vorbea cu ei, iată că filisteanul din Gat, numit Goliat, a înaintat între cele două oştiri, ieşind afară din şirurile filistenilor. A rostit aceleaşi cuvinte ca mai înainte, şi David le-a auzit.

As he talked with them, behold, the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, came up out of the ranks of the Philistines and spoke the same words as before. And David heard him.

Azt mondták az izráeliek: Láttátok-e azt a férfit, aki előállt? Azért állt elő, hogy gyalázza Izráelt. Ha valaki megölné, nagy gazdagsággal ajándékozná meg a király, leányát is hozzáadná, és atyjának házát szabaddá tenné Izráelben.

És mondának az Izráeliták: Láttátok-é azt a férfit, a ki feljöve? Mert azért jött ki, hogy gyalázattal illesse Izráelt. Ha valaki megölné őt, nagy gazdagsággal ajándékozná meg a király, leányát is néki adná, és atyjának házát szabaddá tenné Izráelben.

And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.

Fiecare zicea: „Aţi văzut pe omul acesta înaintând? A înaintat ca să arunce ocara asupra lui Israel! Dacă-l va omorî cineva, împăratul îl va umple de bogăţii, îi va da de nevastă pe fiica sa şi va scuti de dări casa tatălui său în Israel.”

And the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel. And the king will enrich the man who kills him with great riches and will give him his daughter and make his father’s house free in Israel.”

Dávid megkérdezte a mellette álló embereket: Mi történik azzal az emberrel, aki megöli ezt a filiszteust, és elveszi a gyalázatot Izráelről? Mert kicsoda ez a körülmetéletlen filiszteus, hogy gyalázni meri az élő Isten seregét?!

És szóla Dávid azoknak az embereknek, a kik ott állának vele, mondván: Mi történik azzal, a ki megöli ezt a Filiszteust, és elveszi a gyalázatot Izráelről? Mert kicsoda ez a körülmetéletlen Filiszteus, hogy gyalázattal illeti az élő Istennek seregét?!

And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

David a zis oamenilor de lângă el: „Ce se va face aceluia care va omorî pe filisteanul acesta şi va lua ocara deasupra lui Israel? Cine este filisteanul acesta, acest netăiat împrejur, ca să ocărască oştirea Dumnezeului celui Viu?”

And David said to the men who stood by him, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

A nép pedig az előbbi beszéd szerint elmondta, hogy mire számíthat az az ember, aki megöli őt.

A nép pedig e beszéd szerint felele néki, mondván: Ez történik azzal az emberrel, a ki megöli őt.

And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.

Poporul, spunând din nou aceleaşi lucruri, i-a zis: „Aşa şi aşa se va face aceluia care-l va omorî.”

And the people answered him in the same way, “So shall it be done to the man who kills him.”

Amikor legidősebb testvére, Eliáb meghallotta, hogy az emberekkel beszél, igen megharagudott Dávidra, és azt mondta: Minek jöttél ide, és kire bíztad azt a néhány juhot, amely a pusztában van? Ismerem vakmerőségedet és szíved álnokságát, hogy csak azért jöttél ide, hogy megnézd az ütközetet!

És meghallá Eliáb az ő nagyobbik testvére, hogy az emberekkel beszéle; és nagyon megharaguvék Eliáb Dávidra, és monda: Miért jöttél ide, és kire bíztad azt a néhány juhot, a mely a pusztában van? Ismerem vakmerőségedet és szívednek álnokságát, hogy csak azért jöttél ide, hogy megnézd az ütközetet!

And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

Eliab, fratele lui cel mai mare, care-l auzise vorbind cu oamenii aceştia, s-a aprins de mânie împotriva lui David. Şi a zis: „Pentru ce te-ai coborât tu şi cui ai lăsat acele puţine oi în pustiu? Îţi cunosc eu mândria şi răutatea inimii. Te-ai coborât ca să vezi lupta.”

Now Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke to the men. And Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, “Why have you come down? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your presumption and the evil of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.”

Dávid pedig így felelt: De hát most mit tettem? Hiszen csak beszélgettünk.

Dávid pedig felele: Ugyan mit cselekedtem én most? hiszen csak szóbeszéd volt ez.

And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

David a răspuns: „Ce-am făcut oare? Nu pot să vorbesc astfel?”

And David said, “What have I done now? Was it not but a word?”

Azután másvalakihez fordult, és ugyanazt kérdezte, mint korábban, és az is, meg a hadinép is az előbbi beszéd szerint válaszolt neki.

És elfordula tőle egy másikhoz, és ugyan úgy szóla, [mint korábban,] és a nép is az előbbi beszéd szerint válaszola néki.

And he turned from him toward another, and spake after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.

And he turned away from him toward another, and spoke in the same way, and the people answered him again as before.

Amikor meghallották, mit beszélt Dávid, elmondták Saulnak, ő pedig magához hívatta.

És mikor meghallották azokat a szavakat, a melyeket Dávid szóla, megmondák Saulnak, ki magához hívatá őt.

And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.

Când s-au auzit cuvintele rostite de David, au fost spuse înaintea lui Saul, care a trimis să-l caute.

When the words that David spoke were heard, they repeated them before Saul, and he sent for him.

Dávid ezt mondta Saulnak: Senki se csüggedjen el emiatt. Elmegy a szolgád, és megvív ezzel a filiszteussal.

És monda Dávid Saulnak: Senki se csüggedjen el e miatt; elmegy a te szolgád és megvív ezzel a Filiszteussal.

And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

David a zis lui Saul: „Nimeni să nu-şi piardă nădejdea din pricina filisteanului acestuia. Robul tău va merge să se bată cu el.”

And David said to Saul, “Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”

Saul pedig azt mondta neki: Nem mehetsz te e filiszteus ellen, hogy megvívj vele, mert te gyermek vagy, ő pedig harcedzett férfi, ifjúságától fogva.

Saul pedig monda Dávidnak: Nem mehetsz te e Filiszteus ellen, hogy vele megvívj, mert te gyermek vagy, ő pedig ifjúságától fogva hadakozó férfi vala.

And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

Saul a zis lui David: „Nu poţi să te duci să te baţi cu filisteanul acesta, căci tu eşti un copil, şi el este un om războinic din tinereţea lui.”

And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.”

Dávid azonban így felelt Saulnak: Pásztor volt a te szolgád apja juhai mellett. Ha eljött az oroszlán és a medve, és elragadott egy bárányt a nyájból,

And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

Szolgád megölte az oroszlánt is, és a medvét is. Így történik majd ezzel a körülmetéletlen filiszteussal is, mint azokkal, mert gyalázattal illette az élő Isten seregét.

A te szolgád mind az oroszlánt, mind a medvét megölte: Úgy lesz azért e körülmetéletlen Filiszteus is, mint azok közül egy, mert gyalázattal illeté az élő Istennek seregét.

Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

Aşa a doborât robul tău leul şi ursul; şi cu filisteanul acesta, cu acest netăiat împrejur, va fi ca şi cu unul din ei, căci a ocărât oştirea Dumnezeului celui Viu.”

Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.”

És folytatta Dávid: Az ÚR, aki megszabadított engem az oroszlán és a medve karmaiból, meg fog szabadítani engem e filiszteus kezéből is. Saul erre így felelt Dávidnak: Eredj el hát, és az ÚR legyen veled!

És monda Dávid: Az Úr, a ki megszabadított engem az oroszlánnak és a medvének kezéből, meg fog szabadítani engem e Filiszteusnak kezéből is. Akkor monda Saul Dávidnak: Eredj el, és az Úr legyen veled!

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.

David a mai zis: „Domnul, care m-a izbăvit din gheara leului şi din laba ursului, mă va izbăvi şi din mâna acestui filistean.” Şi Saul a zis lui David: „Du-te, şi Domnul să fie cu tine!”

And David said, “The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you!”

És felöltöztette Dávidot a saját harci ruhájába: rézsisakot tett a fejére, és páncélba öltöztette.

And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.

Azután Dávid felkötötte kardját a harci ruhája fölé, és járni akart, mert még nem próbálta. Ekkor Dávid így szólt Saulhoz: Nem bírok ezekben járni, mert még nem próbáltam. És levette azokat magáról.

Akkor Dávid felköté kardját harczi ruhája fölé, és járni akart, mert még nem próbálta. És monda Dávid Saulnak: Nem bírok ezekben járni, mert még nem próbáltam; és leveté azokat Dávid magáról.

And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.

and David strapped his sword over his armor. And he tried in vain to go, for he had not tested them. Then David said to Saul, “I cannot go with these, for I have not tested them.” So David put them off.

Kezébe vette botját, kiválasztott magának a patakból öt sima kövecskét, eltette azokat pásztortáskájába, azaz a tarisznyájába, amely vele volt, és parittyájával a kezében közeledett a filiszteushoz.

And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

Then he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the brook and put them in his shepherd’s pouch. His sling was in his hand, and he approached the Philistine.

And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.

And the Philistine moved forward and came near to David, with his shield-bearer in front of him.

Mikor pedig odatekintett a filiszteus, és meglátta Dávidot, lenézte őt, mert ifjú volt, pirospozsgás és szép tekintetű.

And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.

Filisteanul s-a uitat şi, când a zărit pe David, a râs de el, căci nu vedea în el decât un copil cu păr bălai şi cu faţa frumoasă.

And when the Philistine looked and saw David, he disdained him, for he was but a youth, ruddy and handsome in appearance.

A filiszteus ezt mondta Dávidnak: Kutya vagyok tán, hogy bottal jössz rám? És szidalmazta Dávidot és az ő Istenét.

És monda a Filiszteus Dávidnak: Eb vagyok-é én, hogy te bottal jössz reám? És szidalmazá a Filiszteus Dávidot Istenével [együtt.]

And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

Filisteanul a zis lui David: „Ce! sunt câine, de vii la mine cu toiege?” Şi, după ce l-a blestemat pe dumnezeii lui,

And the Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

Még ezt is mondta Dávidnak: Jöjj ide hozzám, hadd adjam testedet az égi madaraknak és a mezei vadaknak!

Monda továbbá a Filiszteus Dávidnak: Jőjj ide hozzám, hogy testedet az égi madaraknak és a mezei vadaknak adjam.

And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.

The Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and to the beasts of the field.”

Dávid pedig így felelt a filiszteusnak: Te karddal, dárdával és pajzzsal jössz ellenem, én pedig a Seregek URának, Izráel seregei Istenének a nevében megyek ellened, akit te gyalázattal illettél.

Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

David a zis filisteanului: „Tu vii împotriva mea cu sabie, cu suliţă şi cu pavăză; iar eu vin împotriva ta în Numele Domnului oştirilor, în Numele Dumnezeului oştirii lui Israel, pe care ai ocărât-o.

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

A mai napon kezembe ad téged az ÚR, megöllek, és levágom a fejedet. A filiszteusok seregének tetemeit pedig az égi madaraknak és a mezei vadaknak fogom adni a mai napon, hogy tudja meg az egész föld, hogy van Izráelnek Istene.

This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

Astăzi Domnul te va da în mâinile mele, te voi doborî şi-ţi voi tăia capul; astăzi voi da stârvurile taberei filistenilor păsărilor cerului şi fiarelor pământului. Şi tot pământul va şti că Israel are un Dumnezeu.

This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,

És tudja meg ez az egész sokaság, hogy nem kard által és nem dárda által tart meg az ÚR, mert az ÚRé a had, és ő a kezünkbe ad titeket.

And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands.

Şi toată mulţimea aceasta va şti că Domnul nu mântuieşte nici prin sabie, nici prin suliţă. Căci biruinţa este a Domnului. Şi El vă dă în mâinile noastre.”

and that all this assembly may know that the LORD saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

Mikor a filiszteus felkészült, és Dávid felé közeledett, Dávid is sietett és futott a viadalra a filiszteus elé.

And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

Benyúlt a tarisznyájába, kivett onnan egy követ, elhajította a parittyájával, és úgy homlokon találta a filiszteust, hogy a kő a homlokába fúródott, és ő arccal a földre esett.

És Dávid benyúlt kezével a tarisznyába és kivett onnan egy követ, és elhajítván, homlokán találta a Filiszteust, úgy, hogy a kő homlokába mélyede, és arczczal a földre esék.

And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.

Şi-a vârât mâna în traistă, a luat o piatră şi a aruncat-o cu praştia; a lovit pe filistean în frunte, şi piatra a intrat în fruntea filisteanului, care a căzut cu faţa la pământ.

And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.

Így Dávid erősebb volt a filiszteusnál parittyával és kővel. Legyőzte a filiszteust és megölte, pedig kard sem volt a kezében.

So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

Astfel, cu o praştie şi cu o piatră, David a fost mai tare decât filisteanul; l-a trântit la pământ şi l-a omorât, fără să aibă sabie în mână.

So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. There was no sword in the hand of David.

Ekkor odafutott Dávid, ráállt a filiszteusra, fogta annak kardját, kirántotta a hüvelyéből, és levágta a fejét. Így ölte meg. A filiszteusok pedig, amint meglátták, hogy meghalt a hősük, megfutamodtak.

És oda futott Dávid, és reá állott a Filiszteusra, és vevé annak kardját, kirántotta hüvelyéből, és megölé őt, és fejét azzal levágta. A Filiszteusok pedig a mint meglátták, hogy az ő hősük meghalt, megfutamodának.

Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.

A alergat, s-a oprit lângă filistean, i-a luat sabia, pe care i-a scos-o din teacă, l-a omorât şi i-a tăiat capul. Filistenii, când au văzut că uriaşul lor a murit, au luat-o la fugă.

Then David ran and stood over the Philistine and took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

Ekkor fölkeltek Izráel és Júda férfiai, és csatakiáltással üldözőbe vették a filiszteusokat a völgyön át Ekrón kapujáig. És hullottak a filiszteusok sebesültjei a Saaraim felé vezető úton egészen Gátig és Ekrónig.

And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the valley, and to the gates of Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto Gath, and unto Ekron.

Şi bărbaţii lui Israel şi Iuda au dat chiote şi au pornit în urmărirea filistenilor până în vale şi până la porţile Ecronului. Filistenii, răniţi de moarte, au căzut pe drumul care duce la Şaaraim, până la Gat şi până la Ecron.

And the men of Israel and Judah rose with a shout and pursued the Philistines as far as Gath and the gates of Ekron, so that the wounded Philistines fell on the way from Shaaraim as far as Gath and Ekron.

Dávid pedig fölvette a filiszteus fejét, és elvitte Jeruzsálembe, fegyvereit pedig a maga sátrában helyezte el.

And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.

Saul pedig, amikor látta, hogy Dávid kiment a filiszteus elé, azt kérdezte Abnértól, a sereg fővezérétől: Abnér! Kinek a fia ez a gyermek? Abnér így felelt: Él a lelked, ó, király, hogy nem tudom!

Saul pedig mikor látta, hogy Dávid kiment a Filiszteus elé, monda Abnernek, a sereg fővezérének: Abner! ki fia e gyermek? És felele Abner: Él a te lelked oh király, hogy nem tudom!

And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell.

Când a văzut Saul pe David mergând împotriva filisteanului, a zis lui Abner, căpetenia oştirii: „Al cui fiu este tânărul acesta, Abner?” Abner a răspuns: „Pe sufletul tău, împărate, că nu ştiu.”

As soon as Saul saw David go out against the Philistine, he said to Abner, the commander of the army, “Abner, whose son is this youth?” And Abner said, “As your soul lives, O king, I do not know.”

A király erre azt mondta: Kérdezd meg, hogy kinek a fia ez az ifjú!

És monda a király: Kérdezd meg tehát, hogy ki fia ez az ifjú?

And the king said, Enquire thou whose son the stripling is.

„Întreabă, dar, al cui fiu este tânărul acesta”, a zis împăratul.

And the king said, “Inquire whose son the boy is.”

Amikor visszajött Dávid, miután megölte a filiszteust, fogta őt Abnér, és Saulhoz vitte. A filiszteus feje pedig még a kezében volt.

És a mint visszajött Dávid, miután megölte a Filiszteust, megfogá őt Abner, és Saulhoz vitte; és a Filiszteusnak feje kezében vala.

And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.

Şi când s-a întors David după ce omorâse pe filistean, Abner l-a luat şi l-a adus înaintea lui Saul. David avea în mână capul filisteanului.

And as soon as David returned from the striking down of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.

Saul megkérdezte tőle: Kinek a fia vagy te, ó, ifjú? Dávid pedig így felelt: Szolgádnak, a betlehemi Isainak a fia vagyok.

És monda néki Saul: Ki fia vagy te, oh gyermek? Dávid pedig felele: A te szolgádnak, a Bethlehemből való Isainak a fia vagyok.

And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered, I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.

Saul i-a zis: „Al cui fiu eşti, tinere?” Şi David a răspuns: „Sunt fiul robului tău Isai, betleemitul.”

And Saul said to him, “Whose son are you, young man?” And David answered, “I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.”
