Anna így imádkozott: Örvend szívem az ÚRban, fölemelte szarvamat az ÚR. Fölnyílt a szám ellenségeim ellen, mert szabadításodnak örvendezek!

És imádkozék Anna, és monda: Örvendez az én szívem az Úrban, Felmagasztaltatott az én szarvam az Úrban. Az én szám felnyílt ellenségeim ellen, Mert szabadításodnak örvendezek én!

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

Ana s-a rugat şi a zis: „Mi se bucură inima în Domnul, puterea mea a fost înălţată de Domnul; mi s-a deschis larg gura împotriva vrăjmaşilor mei, căci mă bucur de ajutorul Tău.

And Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the LORD; my horn is exalted in the LORD. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.

Senki sincs olyan szent, mint az ÚR, sőt rajtad kívül senki sincs. Nincsen olyan kőszikla, mint a mi Istenünk.

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

“There is none holy like the LORD: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God.

Ne szóljatok kevélyen, olyan kevélyen. Szátokból ne jöjjön ki kérkedő szó, mert mindentudó Isten az ÚR, és a tetteket ő ítéli meg.

Ne szóljatok oly kevélyen, oly nagyon kevélyen; Szátokból ne jőjjön kérkedő szó, Mert mindentudó Isten az Úr, És a cselekedeteket ő ítéli meg.

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

Nu mai vorbiţi cu atâta îngâmfare, să nu vă mai iasă din gură cuvinte de mândrie; căci Domnul este un Dumnezeu care ştie totul, şi toate faptele sunt cântărite de El.

Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

Az erős kézíjasokat összetöri, és a roskadozókat erővel övezi föl.

The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

The bows of the mighty are broken, but the feeble bind on strength.

A jóllakottak elszegődnek kenyérért, az éhezők pedig nem éheznek többé, s míg a magtalan hét gyermeket szül, a sokgyermekes megfogyatkozik.

A megelégedettek bérért szegődnek el, Éhezők pedig nem lesznek; S míg a magtalan hét gyermeket szül, A sok gyermekű megfogyatkozik.

They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

Cei ce erau sătui se închiriază pentru pâine, şi cei ce erau flămânzi se odihnesc; chiar cea stearpă naşte de şapte ori, şi cea care avea mulţi copii stă lâncezită.

Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, but those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. The barren has borne seven, but she who has many children is forlorn.

Az ÚR öl és elevenít, sírba visz, és visszahoz.

The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

Domnul omoară şi învie, El coboară în Locuinţa morţilor şi El scoate de acolo.

The LORD kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up.

Az ÚR szegénnyé tesz, és meggazdagít, megaláz és fölmagasztal.

The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

The LORD makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and he exalts.

Fölemeli a porból a szegényt, és a sárból kihozza a szűkölködőt, hogy a hatalmasok mellé ültesse, és a dicsőség székét adja nekik. Mert az ÚRéi a föld oszlopai, és rájuk helyezte a földkerekséget.

Felemeli a porból a szegényt, És a sárból kihozza a szűkölködőt, Hogy ültesse hatalmasok mellé, És a dicsőségnek székét adja nékik; Mert az Úré a földnek oszlopai, És azokra helyezé a föld kerekségét.

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them.

El ridică din pulbere pe cel sărac, ridică din gunoi pe cel lipsit. Ca să-i pună să şadă alături cu cei mari. Şi le dă de moştenire un scaun de domnie îmbrăcat cu slavă; căci ai Domnului sunt stâlpii pământului şi pe ei a aşezat El lumea.

He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and on them he has set the world.

Híveinek lábát megoltalmazza, de az istentelenek a sötétségben némulnak el. Mert nem az erő teszi hatalmassá az embert.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

“He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail.

Az ÚR megrontja azokat, akik versengenek vele, mennydörög fölöttük az égben. Megítéli az ÚR a föld határait, királyának pedig hatalmat ad, és fölemeli fölkentjének szarvát!

Az Úr, a kik vele versengenek, megrontja, Mennydörög felettök az égben, Az Úr megítéli a földnek határait, Királyának pedig hatalmat ad, És felemeli felkentjének szarvát!

The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Vrăjmaşii Domnului vor tremura, din înălţimea cerului El Îşi va arunca tunetul asupra lor; Domnul va judeca marginile pământului. El va da Împăratului Său putere şi El va înălţa tăria Unsului Lui.”

The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; against them he will thunder in heaven. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth; he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.”

Ezután Elkána hazament Rámába. A gyermek pedig az ÚR szolgája lett Éli pap előtt.

And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.

Elcana s-a dus acasă la Rama, şi copilul a rămas în slujba Domnului, înaintea preotului Eli.

Then Elkanah went home to Ramah. And the boy was ministering to the LORD in the presence of Eli the priest.

Éli fiai azonban gonosz emberek voltak, nem ismerték az URat.

Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

Now the sons of Eli were worthless men. They did not know the LORD.

A papok szokása a néppel szemben az volt, hogy ha valaki áldozatot mutatott be, eljött a pap szolgája, amikor a húst főzték, és a háromágú villácska a kezében volt.

And the priest's custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand;

Şi iată care era felul de purtate al acestor preoţi faţă de popor: Când aducea cineva o jertfă, venea sluga preotului în clipa când se fierbea carnea, ţinând în mână o furculiţă cu trei coarne,

The custom of the priests with the people was that when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant would come, while the meat was boiling, with a three-pronged fork in his hand,

Beleszúrt vele a serpenyőbe, üstbe, fazékba vagy más edénybe, és mindazt, amit a villácskával kihúzott, magának vette el a pap. Így cselekedtek egész Izráel népével, mikor odamentek Silóba.

És beüti vala a serpenyőbe, vagy üstbe, vagy fazékba, vagy edénybe, és mindent, a mit a villácskával kihúz, magának veszi el a pap. Így cselekesznek egész Izráellel, kik oda mennek Silóba.

And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither.

o vâra în cazan, în căldare, în tigaie sau în oală; şi tot ce apuca cu furculiţa lua preotul pentru el. Aşa făceau ei tuturor acelora din Israel care veneau la Silo.

and he would thrust it into the pan or kettle or cauldron or pot. All that the fork brought up the priest would take for himself. This is what they did at Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there.

Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.

Chiar înainte de a arde grăsimea, venea sluga preotului şi zicea celui ce aducea jertfa: „Dă pentru preot carnea de fript; el nu va lua de la tine carne fiartă, ci vrea carne crudă.”

Moreover, before the fat was burned, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man who was sacrificing, “Give meat for the priest to roast, for he will not accept boiled meat from you but only raw.”

És ha az az ember azt mondta neki: „Hadd áldozzam meg először a kövérjét, azután vedd el, amit lelked kíván”, akkor azt mondták: Semmiképpen sem, hanem most add ide, mert ha nem, erővel elveszem!

És ha az ember [azt] mondja néki: Hadd gyújtsák meg most a kövérét, azután vedd el, a mint lelked kívánja: akkor azt mondják vala: [Semmiképen] nem, hanem most adjad, mert ha nem, erővel elveszem.

And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.

Şi dacă omul zicea: „După ce se va arde grăsimea, vei lua ce-ţi va plăcea”, sluga răspundea: „Nu! Dă-mi acum, căci altfel iau cu sila.”

And if the man said to him, “Let them burn the fat first, and then take as much as you wish,” he would say, “No, you must give it now, and if not, I will take it by force.”

Igen nagy volt tehát az ifjak bűne az ÚR előtt, mert az emberek megutálták az ÚR áldozatát.

Igen nagy volt azért az ifjaknak bűne az Úr előtt, mert az emberek megútálják vala az Úrnak áldozatát.

Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.

Tinerii aceştia se făceau vinovaţi înaintea Domnului de un foarte mare păcat, pentru că nesocoteau darurile Domnului.

Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the LORD, for the men treated the offering of the LORD with contempt.

Sámuel pedig, mint gyermek, gyolcs éfóddal körülövezve szolgált az ÚRnak.

Sámuel pedig szolgál vala az Úrnak, mint gyermek, gyolcs efóddal körül övezve.

But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

Samuel făcea slujba înaintea Domnului; şi copilul acesta era îmbrăcat cu un efod de in.

Samuel was ministering before the LORD, a boy clothed with a linen ephod.

Anyja kicsiny felsőruhát csinált neki és fölvitte neki évről évre, amikor férjével fölment az esztendőnkénti áldozat bemutatására.

És anyja kicsiny felső ruhát csinált vala néki, és felvivé néki esztendőnként, mikor férjével felment az esztendőnként való áldozat bemutatására.

Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

And his mother used to make for him a little robe and take it to him each year when she went up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

És megáldotta Éli Elkánát és feleségét, és ezt mondta: Adjon neked az ÚR magzatot ettől az asszonytól a helyett, akiért könyörgött, és akit felajánlott az ÚRnak. Azután hazamentek.

And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.

Then Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, “May the LORD give you children by this woman for the petition she asked of the LORD.” So then they would return to their home.

És meglátogatta az ÚR Annát, aki fogant a méhében, és három fiút és két leányt szült. A gyermek Sámuel pedig az ÚRnál nevelkedett föl.

És meglátogatá az Úr Annát, ki az ő méhében fogada, és szült három fiút és két leányt. És a gyermek Sámuel felnevekedék az Úrnál.

And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

Când a cercetat Domnul pe Ana, ea a rămas însărcinată şi a născut trei fii şi două fiice. Şi tânărul Samuel creştea înaintea Domnului.

Indeed the LORD visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew in the presence of the LORD.

Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Now Eli was very old, and he kept hearing all that his sons were doing to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who were serving at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

Azt mondta nekik: Miért csináltok ilyeneket? Mert hallom gonosz cselekedeteiteket az egész néptől.

And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.

And he said to them, “Why do you do such things? For I hear of your evil dealings from all these people.

Ne tegyétek, fiaim! Nem jó hír az, amelyet hallok. Vétkessé teszitek az ÚR népét.

Ne [tegyétek] fiaim! mert nem jó hír az, melyet hallok; vétkessé teszitek az Úrnak népét.

Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD's people to transgress.

Nu, copii, ce aud spunându-se despre voi nu este bine; voi faceţi pe poporul Domnului să păcătuiască.

No, my sons; it is no good report that I hear the people of the LORD spreading abroad.

Ha ember embertársa ellen vétkezik, megítéli őt Isten. De ha az ÚR ellen vétkezik az ember, ki lehetne érette közbenjáró? De nem hallgattak apjuk szavára, mivel az ÚR el akarta veszíteni őket.

Ha ember embertársa ellen vétkezik, megítéli az Isten; de ha az Úr ellen vétkezik az ember, ki lehetne érette közbenjáró? De nem hallgatának atyjok szavára, mert az Úr meg akará őket ölni.

If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

Dacă un om păcătuieşte împotriva altui om, îl va judeca Dumnezeu; dar dacă păcătuieşte împotriva Domnului, cine se va ruga pentru el?” Totuşi ei n-au ascultat de glasul tatălui lor, căci Domnul voia să-i omoare.

If someone sins against a man, God will mediate for him, but if someone sins against the LORD, who can intercede for him?” But they would not listen to the voice of their father, for it was the will of the LORD to put them to death.

A gyermek Sámuel pedig egyre növekedett, és kedves volt mind az ÚR, mind az emberek előtt.

A gyermek Sámuel pedig folytonosan növekedék és kedves volt mind az Úr, mind az emberek előtt.

And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.

Tânărul Samuel creştea mereu şi era plăcut Domnului şi oamenilor.

Now the boy Samuel continued to grow both in stature and in favor with the LORD and also with man.

Azután eljött Isten embere Élihez, és ezt mondta neki: Így szól az ÚR: Nem jelentettem-e ki magamat atyád házának, midőn Egyiptomban, a fáraó házában voltak?

És eljöve Istennek embere Élihez, és monda néki: Így szól az Úr: Nem jelentettem-é ki magamat atyád házának, midőn Égyiptomban a Faraó házában valának?

And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

Un om al lui Dumnezeu a venit la Eli şi i-a zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Nu M-am descoperit Eu casei tatălui tău, când erau în Egipt, în casa lui faraon?

And there came a man of God to Eli and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Did I indeed reveal myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt subject to the house of Pharaoh?

Papnak választottam őt magamnak Izráel minden nemzetsége közül, hogy áldozzon az oltáromon, hogy füstölőszert füstölögtessen, hogy az éfódot viselje előttem. Atyád házára bíztam Izráel fiainak minden tűzáldozatát.

And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

Did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? I gave to the house of your father all my offerings by fire from the people of Israel.

Miért tapossátok lábbal véresáldozatomat és ételáldozatomat, amelyet e hajlék számára rendeltem? Többre becsülöd fiaidat, mint engem, hogy magatokat hizlaljátok az én népem, Izráel minden áldozatának javával?!

Miért tapossátok meg az én véres áldozatomat és ételáldozatomat, melyet rendeltem [e] hajlékban? És te többre becsülöd fiaidat, mint engem, hogy magatokat hízlaljátok az én népem Izráel minden áldozatának elejével.

Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

Pentru ce călcaţi voi în picioare jertfele Mele şi darurile Mele, care am poruncit să se facă în Locaşul Meu? Şi cum se face că tu cinsteşti pe fiii tăi mai mult decât pe Mine, ca să vă îngrăşaţi din cele dintâi roade luate din toate darurile poporului Meu, Israel?”

Why then do you scorn my sacrifices and my offerings that I commanded for my dwelling, and honor your sons above me by fattening yourselves on the choicest parts of every offering of my people Israel?’

Azért így szól az ÚR, Izráel Istene: Jóllehet megmondtam, hogy a te házad és atyád háza mindörökké előttem jár, de most mégis azt mondja az ÚR: távol legyen tőlem, mert akik engem tisztelnek, azoknak tisztességet szerzek, akik azonban engem megutálnak, megutáltatnak.

Azért így szól az Úr, Izráelnek Istene, jóllehet megmondottam, hogy a te házad és atyádnak háza mindörökké én előttem jár; de most, [azt] mondja az Úr, távol legyen tőlem, mert a kik engem tisztelnek, azoknak tisztességet szerzek, a kik azonban engem megutálnak, megutáltatnak.

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

De aceea, iată ce zice Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Spusesem că şi casa ta şi casa tatălui tău au să umble întotdeauna înaintea Mea.” Şi acum, zice Domnul, departe de Mine lucrul acesta! Căci voi cinsti pe cine Mă cinsteşte, dar cei ce Mă dispreţuiesc vor fi dispreţuiţi.

Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, declares: ‘I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ but now the LORD declares: ‘Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Íme, olyan napok jönnek, hogy megtöröm erődet és atyád házának erejét, és nem lesz öreg ember a házadban.

Ímé, napok jőnek, és levágom a te karodat és atyád házának karját, hogy ne legyen vén [ember] a te házadban.

Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father's house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

Iată că vine vremea când voi tăia braţul tău şi braţul casei tatălui tău, aşa încât nu va mai fi niciun bătrân în casa ta.

Behold, the days are coming when I will cut off your strength and the strength of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house.

Majd meglátod Isten hajlékának romlását a sok jó helyett, amit tettem volna Izráellel. Bizony nem lesz öreg ember a házadban soha.

És meglátod az [Isten] hajlékának szorongattatását, mind a helyett, a mi jót cselekedett volna Izráellel; és nem lészen vén [ember] a te házadban soha.

And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.

Vei vedea un potrivnic al tău în Locaşul Meu, în timp ce Israel va fi copleşit de bunătăţi de Domnul; şi nu va mai fi niciodată niciun bătrân în casa ta.

Then in distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed on Israel, and there shall not be an old man in your house forever.

Mindazáltal nem fogok mindenkit kiirtani oltárom mellől teérted, hogy epesszem a szemedet és gyötörjem a lelkedet. De házad többsége férfikora delén hal meg.

Mindazonáltal nem fogok mindenkit kiirtani oltárom mellől, te éretted, hogy szemeidet emészszem és lelkedet gyötörjem; de egész házadnépe férfikorban hal meg.

And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.

Voi lăsa să rămână la altarul Meu numai unul dintre ai tăi, ca să ţi se topească ochii de durere şi să ţi se întristeze sufletul; dar toţi ceilalţi din casa ta vor muri în floarea vârstei.

The only one of you whom I shall not cut off from my altar shall be spared to weep his eyes out to grieve his heart, and all the descendants of your house shall die by the sword of men.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

Şi iată semnul celor ce se vor întâmpla celor doi fii ai tăi, Hofni şi Fineas: amândoi vor muri într-o zi.

And this that shall come upon your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, shall be the sign to you: both of them shall die on the same day.

De támasztok majd magamnak hűséges papot, aki kedvem és akaratom szerint cselekszik. Maradandó házat építek neki, és mindig az én fölkentem előtt fog járni.

Támasztok azonban magamnak hűséges papot, ki kedvem és akaratom szerint cselekszik; és építek néki állandó házat, és az én felkentem előtt fog járni mindenkor.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

Eu Îmi voi pune un preot credincios, care va lucra după inima Mea şi după sufletul Meu; îi voi zidi o casă stătătoare, şi va umbla întotdeauna înaintea Unsului Meu.

And I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who shall do according to what is in my heart and in my mind. And I will build him a sure house, and he shall go in and out before my anointed forever.

És aki megmarad házad népéből, eljön, hogy leboruljon előtte egy ezüstpénzecskéért és egy darab kenyérért, és ezt mondja: Fogadj föl engem a papi tisztségek egyikébe, hogy ehessem egy falat kenyeret!

És lészen, hogy mind az, a ki megmarad a te házadból, eljön, hogy leboruljon előtte [egy] ezüst pénzecskéért és [egy] darab kenyérért, [és ezt] mondja: ugyan helyezz el engem a papi tisztségek egyikébe, hogy ehessem [egy] falat kenyeret.

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests' offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

Şi oricine va mai rămâne din casa ta va veni să se arunce cu faţa la pământ înaintea lui, pentru un ban de argint şi pentru o bucată de pâine, şi va zice: „Pune-mă, te rog, în una din slujbele preoţiei, ca să am o bucată de pâine să mănânc.”

And everyone who is left in your house shall come to implore him for a piece of silver or a loaf of bread and shall say, “Please put me in one of the priests’ places, that I may eat a morsel of bread.”’”
