Dávid ezt gondolta magában: Egy napon mégis el kell vesznem Saul keze miatt. Jobb nekem, ha gyorsan elmenekülök a filiszteusok földjére. Így Saul fölhagy azzal, hogy engem továbbra is üldözzön Izráel egész területén, és megszabadulok a kezéből.

És monda Dávid magában: Egy napon mégis el kell pusztulnom a Saul keze miatt, nincs jobb reám nézve, mintha gyorsan elmenekülök a Filiszteusok tartományába, [így] Saul felhagy [azzal,] hogy engem tovább is üldözzön Izráel egész területén, és [így] megszabadulok az ő kezéből.

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

David şi-a zis în sine: „Voi pieri într-o zi ucis de mâna lui Saul; nu este nimic mai bine pentru mine decât să fug în ţara filistenilor, pentru ca Saul să înceteze să mă mai caute în tot ţinutul lui Israel; aşa voi scăpa de mâna lui.”

Then David said in his heart, “Now I shall perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should escape to the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will despair of seeking me any longer within the borders of Israel, and I shall escape out of his hand.”

Fölkelt tehát Dávid, és elment hatszáz emberével Ákishoz, Máók fiához, Gát királyához.

Felkelvén azért Dávid, elméne ő és az a hatszáz ember, a kik vele valának, Ákhishoz, a Máok fiához, Gáth királyához.

And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.

Şi David s-a sculat, el şi cei şase sute de oameni care erau împreună cu el, şi au trecut la Achiş, fiul lui Maoc, împăratul Gatului.

So David arose and went over, he and the six hundred men who were with him, to Achish the son of Maoch, king of Gath.

Dávid Ákisnál Gátban telepedett le embereivel, mindegyik a maga háza népével. Dávid is a két feleségével, a jezréeli Ahinóammal és a karmeli Abigaillal, Nábál volt feleségével.

És Dávid Ákhisnál tartózkodék Gáthban, ő és az ő emberei, mindegyik a maga háza[népé]vel együtt; Dávid és az ő két felesége, a Jezréelből való Ahinoám és a Kármelből való Abigail, a Nábál felesége.

And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife.

David şi oamenii lui au rămas în Gat, la Achiş; îşi aveau fiecare familia lui, şi David îşi avea cele două neveste: Ahinoam din Izreel şi Abigail din Carmel, nevasta lui Nabal.

And David lived with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, and David with his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel, and Abigail of Carmel, Nabal’s widow.

And it was told Saul that David was fled to Gath: and he sought no more again for him.

Saul, când a aflat că David fugise la Gat, a încetat să-l mai caute.

And when it was told Saul that David had fled to Gath, he no longer sought him.

Egyszer Dávid azt mondta Ákisnak: Ha megkedveltél, adj helyet nekem valamelyik mezővárosban, hogy ott lakjam. Miért lakna szolgád veled a királyi városban?

És monda Dávid Ákhisnak: Ha kedvet találtam előtted, adj helyet nékem valamelyik vidéki városban, hogy ott lakjam: miért laknék a te szolgád veled a királyi városban?

And David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?

David a zis lui Achiş: „Dacă am căpătat trecere înaintea ta, rogu-te să mi se dea într-una din cetăţile ţării un loc unde să pot locui; căci pentru ce să locuiască robul tău cu tine în cetatea împărătească?”

Then David said to Achish, “If I have found favor in your eyes, let a place be given me in one of the country towns, that I may dwell there. For why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?”

Akkor nekiadta Ákis azon a napon Ciklagot. Így lett Ciklag Júda királyaié mind e mai napig.

És néki adá Ákhis azon a napon Siklágot; lőn azért Siklág a Júda királyaié mind e mai napig.

Then Achish gave him Ziklag that day: wherefore Ziklag pertaineth unto the kings of Judah unto this day.

Şi chiar în ziua aceea, Achiş i-a dat Ţiclagul. De aceea, Ţiclagul a fost al împăraţilor lui Iuda până în ziua de azi.

So that day Achish gave him Ziklag. Therefore Ziklag has belonged to the kings of Judah to this day.

Az az idő, amíg Dávid a filiszteusok földjén lakott, egy esztendő és négy hónap volt.

És lőn ama napoknak száma, míg Dávid a Filiszteusok földén lakozék, egy esztendő és négy hónap.

And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and four months.

Timpul cât a locuit David în ţara filistenilor a fost de un an şi patru luni.

And the number of the days that David lived in the country of the Philistines was a year and four months.

Majd fölvonult Dávid embereivel együtt, és megtámadták a gesúriakat, a gézerieket és az amálékieket. Kezdettől ezek voltak annak a földnek a lakosai, amelyen Súrba lehet jutni, egészen Egyiptom földjéig.

És felméne Dávid embereivel együtt és megtámadták a Gessureusokat, a Girzeusokat és az Amálekitákat: mert ezek voltak annak a földnek lakosai eleitől fogva, a melyen Súrba mégy egészen Égyiptom földéig.

And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.

David şi oamenii lui se suiau şi năvăleau asupra gheşuriţilor, ghirziţilor şi amaleciţilor; căci neamurile acestea locuiau din vremuri vechi în ţinutul acela până la Şur şi până în ţara Egiptului.

Now David and his men went up and made raids against the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites, for these were the inhabitants of the land from of old, as far as Shur, to the land of Egypt.

Dávid leverte az országot, sem férfit, sem asszonyt nem hagyott életben, és elvitte a juhokat, ökröket, szamarakat, tevéket és a ruhákat, úgy tért vissza Ákishoz.

És mikor Dávid megverte az országot, sem férfit, sem asszonyt nem hagyott életben, és elvitt juhot, ökröt, szamarakat, tevéket és ruhákat, és úgy tért vissza és ment Ákhishoz.

And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.

David pustia ţinutul acesta; nu lăsa cu viaţă nici bărbat, nici femeie, le lua oile, boii, măgarii, cămilele, hainele, şi apoi se întorcea şi se ducea la Achiş.

And David would strike the land and would leave neither man nor woman alive, but would take away the sheep, the oxen, the donkeys, the camels, and the garments, and come back to Achish.

Amikor pedig Ákis azt kérdezte tőle: „Hova törtetek be most?”, Dávid így felelt: a Délvidékre Júdában, a Jerahmeél részére és a kéniek déli területére.

Mikor pedig Ákhis [azt] kérdé: Hova törtetek be most? Dávid ekként felele: Júda déli részére és Jerákhméelnek déli részére és Kéneusnak déli részére.

And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.

Achiş zicea: „Unde aţi năvălit azi?” Şi David răspundea: „Spre miazăzi de Iuda, spre miazăzi de ierahmeeliţi şi spre miazăzi de cheniţi.”

When Achish asked, “Where have you made a raid today?” David would say, “Against the Negeb of Judah,” or, “Against the Negeb of the Jerahmeelites,” or, “Against the Negeb of the Kenites.”

Dávid azonban sem férfit, sem asszonyt nem hagyott életben, hogy Gátba vigye őket, mert azt mondta: Nehogy panaszkodjanak ellenünk, és azt mondják, így cselekedett velünk Dávid. Ez volt a szokása egész idő alatt, amíg a filiszteusok földjén tartózkodott.

Dávid azonban sem férfit, sem asszonyt nem hagyott életben, hogy Gáthba vigye, mondván: Valamikép ellenünk ne nyilatkozzanak és [azt] mondják: Így cselekedett Dávid. Ez volt az ő szokása amaz egész idő alatt, míg a Filiszteusok földjén tartózkodék.

And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines.

David nu lăsa cu viaţă nici bărbat, nici femeie ca să vină la Gat; „căci”, se gândea el, „ei ar putea să vorbească împotriva noastră şi să zică: „Aşa a făcut David.” Şi acesta a fost felul lui de purtare în tot timpul cât a locuit în ţara filistenilor.

And David would leave neither man nor woman alive to bring news to Gath, thinking, “lest they should tell about us and say, ‘So David has done.’” Such was his custom all the while he lived in the country of the Philistines.

Ákis pedig megbízott Dávidban, mert azt gondolta: Biztosan gyűlöletessé tette magát népe, Izráel előtt, ezért örökre az én szolgám lesz.

És Ákhis bízott Dávidban, mondván: Bizonyosan gyűlöletessé tette magát az ő népe, Izráel előtt, azért örökké az én szolgám leend.

And Achish believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever.

Achiş se încredea în David şi zicea: „S-a făcut urât poporului său, Israel, şi va rămâne în slujba mea pe vecie.”

And Achish trusted David, thinking, “He has made himself an utter stench to his people Israel; therefore he shall always be my servant.”
