Így jutott el Sámuel beszéde egész Izráelhez. És kiment Izráel a filiszteusok ellen harcolni, és tábort ütöttek Eben-Háézernél, a filiszteusok pedig Afékban vertek tábort.

És [ismeretessé] lett Sámuel beszéde egész Izráelben. És kiméne Izráel a Filiszteusok ellen harczolni, és tábort járának Ében-Ézernél, a Filiszteusok pedig tábort járának Áfekben.

And the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out against the Philistines to battle, and pitched beside Ebenezer: and the Philistines pitched in Aphek.

Chemarea lui Samuel a ajuns la cunoştinţa întregului Israel. Israel a ieşit înaintea filistenilor ca să lupte împotriva lor. Au tăbărât lângă Eben-Ezer, şi filistenii tăbărâseră la Afec.

And the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out to battle against the Philistines. They encamped at Ebenezer, and the Philistines encamped at Aphek.

Majd csatarendbe álltak a filiszteusok Izráel ellen, és megütköztek, és megverték Izráelt, és levágtak a harcmezőn mintegy négyezer embert.

És [csata]rendbe állának a Filiszteusok Izráel ellen, és megütközének, és megveretteték Izráel a Filiszteusok által, és levágának a harczmezőn mintegy négyezer embert.

And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about four thousand men.

Filistenii s-au aşezat în linie de bătaie împotriva lui Israel, şi lupta a început. Israel a fost bătut de filisteni, care au omorât pe câmpul de bătaie aproape patru mii de oameni.

The Philistines drew up in line against Israel, and when the battle spread, Israel was defeated before the Philistines, who killed about four thousand men on the field of battle.

Amikor a nép visszatért a táborba, azt mondták Izráel vénei: Vajon miért vert meg minket ma az ÚR a filiszteusok által? Hozzuk el magunkhoz az ÚR szövetségládáját Silóból, hogy jöjjön közénk, és szabadítson meg ellenségeink kezéből!

És mikor a nép a táborba [visszatért,] mondának Izráel vénei: [Vajjon] miért vert meg minket ma az Úr a Filiszteusok előtt?! Hozzuk el magunkhoz az Úr frigyládáját Silóból, hogy jőjjön közénk [az Úr], és szabadítson meg ellenségeink kezéből.

And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.

Poporul s-a întors în tabără, şi bătrânii lui Israel au zis: „Pentru ce ne-a lăsat Domnul să fim bătuţi astăzi de filisteni? Haidem să luăm de la Silo chivotul legământului Domnului, ca să vină în mijlocul nostru şi să ne izbăvească din mâna vrăjmaşilor noştri.”

And when the people came to the camp, the elders of Israel said, “Why has the LORD defeated us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD here from Shiloh, that it may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies.”

Elküldött tehát a nép Silóba, és elhozták onnan a Seregek URának szövetségládáját, aki a kerúbok fölött ül. Ott volt Éli két fia, Hofni és Fineás is Isten szövetségládájával.

Elkülde azért a nép Silóba, és elhozák onnan a Seregek Urának frigyládáját, a ki ül a Khérubok felett. Ott volt Éli két fia is az Isten frigyládájával, Hofni és Fineás.

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

Poporul a trimis la Silo, de unde au adus chivotul legământului Domnului oştirilor, care şade între heruvimi. Cei doi fii ai lui Eli, Hofni şi Fineas, erau acolo, împreună cu chivotul legământului lui Dumnezeu.

So the people sent to Shiloh and brought from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, who is enthroned on the cherubim. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

Mikor az ÚR szövetségládája a táborba érkezett, egész Izráel olyan nagy rivalgásban tört ki, hogy megrendült a föld.

És mikor az Úr frigyládája a táborba érkezék, rivalgott az egész Izráel nagy rivalgással, hogy megrendüle a föld.

And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again.

Când a intrat chivotul legământului Domnului în tabără, tot Israelul a scos strigăte de bucurie, de s-a cutremurat pământul.

As soon as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel gave a mighty shout, so that the earth resounded.

Mikor pedig meghallották a filiszteusok a rivalgás hangját, azt mondták: Micsoda nagy rivalgás hangja ez a héberek táborában? És mikor megtudták, hogy az ÚR ládája érkezett a táborba,

And when the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, What meaneth the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews? And they understood that the ark of the LORD was come into the camp.

Răsunetul acestor strigăte a fost auzit de filisteni, şi au zis: „Ce înseamnă strigătele acestea care răsună în tabăra evreilor?” Şi au auzit că sosise chivotul Domnului în tabără.

And when the Philistines heard the noise of the shouting, they said, “What does this great shouting in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” And when they learned that the ark of the LORD had come to the camp,

félelem szállta meg a filiszteusokat, és azt mondták: Isten jött a táborba! Azt mondták: Jaj nekünk, mert nem történt ilyen soha ezelőtt.

Megfélemlének a Filiszteusok, mert mondának: Isten a táborba jött! És mondának: Jaj nékünk! mert nem történt ilyen soha az előtt.

And the Philistines were afraid, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore.

Filistenii s-au temut, pentru că au crezut că Dumnezeu venise în tabără. „Vai de noi!”, au zis ei, „căci n-a fost aşa ceva până acum.

the Philistines were afraid, for they said, “A god has come into the camp.” And they said, “Woe to us! For nothing like this has happened before.

Jaj nekünk! Kicsoda szabadít meg minket ennek a hatalmas Istennek a kezéből? Ez az az Isten, aki mindenféle csapással sújtotta Egyiptomot a pusztában.

Jaj nékünk! Kicsoda szabadít meg minket ennek a hatalmas Istennek kezéből? Ez az az Isten, a ki Égyiptomot mindenféle csapással sújtotta a pusztában.

Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.

Vai de noi! Cine ne va izbăvi din mâna acestor dumnezei puternici? Dumnezeii aceştia au lovit pe egipteni cu tot felul de urgii în pustiu.

Woe to us! Who can deliver us from the power of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with every sort of plague in the wilderness.

Legyetek bátrak, és legyetek férfiak, filiszteusok, hogy ne kelljen szolgálnotok a hébereknek, mint ahogy ők szolgáltak nektek. Azért legyetek férfiak, és harcoljatok!

Legyetek bátrak és legyetek férfiak, Filiszteusok! hogy ne kelljen szolgálnotok a zsidóknak, mint a hogy ők szolgáltak néktek. Azért legyetek férfiak, és harczoljatok!

Be strong and quit yourselves like men, O ye Philistines, that ye be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.

Întăriţi-vă şi fiţi oameni, filistenilor, ca nu cumva să fiţi robi evreilor, cum v-au fost ei robi vouă: fiţi oameni şi luptaţi!”

Take courage, and be men, O Philistines, lest you become slaves to the Hebrews as they have been to you; be men and fight.”

Megütköztek tehát a filiszteusok, és Izráel vereséget szenvedett, és mindenki a sátrába menekült. A vereség oly nagy volt, hogy Izráelből harmincezer gyalogos hullott el.

Megütközének azért a Filiszteusok, és megveretett Izráel, és kiki az ő sátorába menekült; és a vereség oly nagy volt, hogy Izráel közül harminczezer gyalog hullott el.

And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.

Filistenii au început lupta, şi Israel a fost bătut. Fiecare a fugit în cortul lui. Înfrângerea a fost foarte mare, şi din Israel au căzut treizeci de mii de oameni pedeştri.

So the Philistines fought, and Israel was defeated, and they fled, every man to his home. And there was a very great slaughter, for thirty thousand foot soldiers of Israel fell.

And the ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.

Chivotul lui Dumnezeu a fost luat, şi cei doi fii ai lui Eli, Hofni şi Fineas, au murit.

And the ark of God was captured, and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, died.

Akkor elszaladt a harcból egy ember a Benjámin nemzetségéből, és Silóba ment még aznap, ruháit megszaggatta, és port hintett a fejére.

Akkor elszalada a harczból egy ember a Benjámin [nemzetségéből,] és Silóba ment azon a napon, ruháit megszaggatván és port [hintvén] a fejére.

And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head.

Un om din Beniamin a alergat din tabăra de bătaie şi a venit la Silo, în aceeaşi zi cu hainele sfâşiate şi cu capul acoperit cu ţărână.

A man of Benjamin ran from the battle line and came to Shiloh the same day, with his clothes torn and with dirt on his head.

Amikor odaért, Éli a székében ült, és az útfélen várakozott, mert szíve aggódott Isten ládájáért. Amikor odaért az az ember, hogy elmondja a hírt a városban, az egész város jajveszékelni kezdett.

És ímé mikor oda ért, Éli az ő székében ült, az útfélen várakozván; mert szíve rettegésben volt az Isten ládája miatt. És [mihelyt] odaért az ember, hogy hírt mondjon a városban, jajveszékelt az egész város.

And when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city, and told it, all the city cried out.

Când a ajuns, Eli aştepta stând pe un scaun lângă drum, căci inima îi era neliniştită pentru chivotul lui Dumnezeu. La intrarea lui în cetate, omul acesta a dat de veste, şi toată cetatea a strigat.

When he arrived, Eli was sitting on his seat by the road watching, for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when the man came into the city and told the news, all the city cried out.

Éli meghallotta a kiáltás hangját, és ezt kérdezte: Micsoda nagy zajongás ez? Az az ember pedig sietve odament, és elmondta Élinek.

És meghallotta Éli a kiáltás hangját, és monda: Micsoda nagy zajongás ez? Az az ember pedig sietve eljöve, és megmondotta Élinek.

And when Eli heard the noise of the crying, he said, What meaneth the noise of this tumult? And the man came in hastily, and told Eli.

Eli, auzind aceste strigăte, a zis: „Ce însemnă zarva aceasta?” Şi îndată omul a venit şi a adus lui Eli vestea aceasta.

When Eli heard the sound of the outcry, he said, “What is this uproar?” Then the man hurried and came and told Eli.

Éli pedig kilencvennyolc esztendős volt, és szeme annyira meghomályosodott, hogy már nem is látott.

Éli pedig kilenczvennyolcz esztendős volt, és szemei [annyira] meghomályosodtak, hogy már nem is látott.

Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see.

Şi Eli era în vârstă de nouăzeci şi opt de ani, avea ochii întunecaţi şi nu mai putea să vadă.

Now Eli was ninety-eight years old and his eyes were set so that he could not see.

Ez az ember azt mondta Élinek: A harcból jövök, a harcból menekültem meg ma. Éli azt kérdezte: Mi történt, fiam?

És monda az ember Élinek: Én a harczból jövök, én a harczból menekültem ma. És monda: Mi dolog történt, fiam?

And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?

Omul a zis lui Eli: „Vin de pe câmpul de bătaie, şi din câmpul de bătaie am fugit astăzi.” Eli a zis: „Ce s-a întâmplat, fiule?”

And the man said to Eli, “I am he who has come from the battle; I fled from the battle today.” And he said, “How did it go, my son?”

A követ így felelt: Izráel megfutamodott a filiszteusok előtt, és igen nagy veszteség lett a népben. Két fiad, Hofni és Fineás is meghalt, és Isten ládáját is elvették.

Felele a követ, és monda: Megfutamodék Izráel a Filiszteusok előtt, és [igen] nagy veszteség lőn a népben, és a te két fiad is meghalt, Hofni és Fineás, és az Isten ládáját is elvették.

And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.

Cel ce aducea vestea aceasta, ca răspuns, a zis: „Israel a fugit dinaintea filistenilor, şi poporul a suferit o mare înfrângere; şi chiar cei doi fii ai tăi, Hofni şi Fineas, au murit, şi chivotul Domnului a fost luat.”

He who brought the news answered and said, “Israel has fled before the Philistines, and there has also been a great defeat among the people. Your two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God has been captured.”

Amikor Isten ládáját említette, Éli hátraesett a székről a kapufélfának, és nyakát szegve meghalt, mert immár öreg és elnehezedett ember volt. És ő negyven esztendeig ítélt Izráel fölött.

És lőn, hogy midőn az Isten ládáját említé, hátraesék a székről a kapufélhez, és nyakát szegte és meghala, mert [immár] vén és nehéz ember vala. És ő negyven esztendeig ítélt Izráel felett.

And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.

Abia a pomenit de chivotul lui Dumnezeu, şi Eli a căzut de pe scaun pe spate, lângă poartă; şi-a rupt ceafa şi a murit, căci era om bătrân şi greu. El fusese judecător în Israel patruzeci de ani.

As soon as he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell over backward from his seat by the side of the gate, and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. He had judged Israel forty years.

Menye pedig, Fineás felesége, várandós volt. Amikor meghallotta a hírt, hogy Isten ládáját elvették, és apósa meg a férje meghalt, térdre esett, és megszült, mert meglepték a fájdalmak.

És az ő menye, Fineásnak felesége, várandós vala; és a mikor meghallá a hírt, hogy az Isten ládája elvétetett és az ő ipa és férje meghalának, térdre esék és szűle, mert a fájdalmak meglepték.

And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.

Nora sa, nevasta lui Fineas, era însărcinată şi sta să nască. Când a auzit vestea despre luarea chivotului lui Dumnezeu, despre moartea socrului ei şi despre moartea bărbatului ei, s-a încovoiat şi a născut, căci au apucat-o durerile naşterii.

Now his daughter-in-law, the wife of Phinehas, was pregnant, about to give birth. And when she heard the news that the ark of God was captured, and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she bowed and gave birth, for her pains came upon her.

Amikor elalélt, azt mondták a mellette állók: Ne félj, mert fiút szültél! De ő nem felelt, és nem figyelt oda.

És mikor elalélt, mondának azok, akik mellette állanak vala: Ne félj, mert fiút szültél; de ő nem felelt és nem figyelt [arra.]

And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.

Când trăgea să moară, femeile care erau lângă ea i-au zis: „Nu te teme, căci ai născut un fiu!” Dar ea n-a răspuns şi n-a luat seama la ce i se spunea.

And about the time of her death the women attending her said to her, “Do not be afraid, for you have borne a son.” But she did not answer or pay attention.

A gyermeket Íkábódnak nevezte el, ami ezt jelenti: Odavan Izráel dicsősége. Mert elvétetett az Isten ládája, és odalett az ő apósa és a férje.

And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.

A pus copilului numele I-Cabod zicând: „S-a dus slava din Israel!” Spunea lucrul acesta din pricina luării chivotului lui Dumnezeu şi din pricina socrului şi bărbatului ei.

And she named the child Ichabod, saying, “The glory has departed from Israel!” because the ark of God had been captured and because of her father-in-law and her husband.

És ismét ezt mondta: Odavan Izráel dicsősége, mert elvették Isten ládáját.

És monda [ismét]: Oda van Izráel dicsősége, mert elvétetett az Isten ládája.

And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.

Ea a zis: „S-a dus slava din Israel, căci chivotul lui Dumnezeu este luat.”

And she said, “The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.”
