Azután fölvonult az ammóni Náhás, és tábort ütött Jábés-Gileáddal szemben. De Jábés lakói azt mondták Náhásnak: Köss velünk szövetséget, és szolgálni fogunk neked!

És feljöve az Ammonita Náhás, és tábort jára Jábes Gileád ellen. A Jábesbeliek pedig mondának mindnyájan Náhásnak: Köss velünk szövetséget, és mi szolgálni fogunk néked.

Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.

Nahaş, amonitul, a venit şi a împresurat Iabesul din Galaad. Toţi locuitorii din Iabes au zis lui Nahaş: „Fă legământ cu noi, şi-ţi vom fi supuşi.”

Then Nahash the Ammonite went up and besieged Jabesh-gilead, and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Make a treaty with us, and we will serve you.”

Az ammóni Náhás ezt felelte nekik: Csak akkor kötök szövetséget veletek, ha kivághatom mindnyájatok jobb szemét, hogy egész Izráelre gyalázatot hozzak ezzel.

És monda nékik az Ammonita Náhás: Úgy szövetséget kötök veletek, ha kivágatom mindnyájatoknak jobb szemét, és tehetem ezt egész Izráelnek gyalázatára.

And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel.

Dar Nahaş, amonitul, le-a răspuns: „Voi face legământ cu voi, dacă mă lăsaţi să vă scot la toţi ochiul drept şi să arunc astfel o ocară asupra întregului Israel.”

But Nahash the Ammonite said to them, “On this condition I will make a treaty with you, that I gouge out all your right eyes, and thus bring disgrace on all Israel.”

Jábés vénei pedig ezt mondták neki: Adj nekünk hét nap haladékot, hogy követeket küldjünk Izráel egész területére. Ha senki sem jön segítségünkre, akkor kimegyünk hozzád.

Jábes vénei pedig mondának néki: Engedj nékünk hét napot, hogy követeket küldjünk Izráelnek minden határára; és ha senki sem segít meg minket, akkor kimegyünk hozzád.

And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days' respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee.

Bătrânii din Iabes i-au zis: „Dă-ne un răgaz de şapte zile, ca să trimitem soli în tot ţinutul lui Israel; şi dacă nu va fi nimeni să ne ajute, ne vom supune ţie.”

The elders of Jabesh said to him, “Give us seven days’ respite that we may send messengers through all the territory of Israel. Then, if there is no one to save us, we will give ourselves up to you.”

Akkor elmentek a követek Saulhoz Gibeába, és elmondták a történteket a nép füle hallatára. Erre az egész közösség hangosan sírni kezdett.

Elmenének azért a követek Saulhoz Gibeába, és elmondták [e] beszédeket a nép füle hallatára. És felemelé az egész község az ő szavát, és sírának.

Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept.

Solii au ajuns la Ghibeea, cetatea lui Saul, şi au spus aceste lucruri în auzul poporului. Şi tot poporul a ridicat glasul şi a plâns.

When the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul, they reported the matter in the ears of the people, and all the people wept aloud.

Saul pedig éppen a mezőről jött az ökrei után, s megkérdezte: Mi történt a néppel, hogy így sírnak? És elmondták neki a jábésbeliek beszédeit.

Saul pedig épen a mezőről jött vala a barmok után; és monda Saul: Mi történt a néppel, hogy sírnak? És elmondták néki a Jábesbeliek beszédeit.

And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What aileth the people that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh.

Saul tocmai se întorcea de la câmp, în urma boilor, şi a întrebat: „Ce are poporul de plânge?” I-au istorisit ce spuseseră cei din Iabes.

Now, behold, Saul was coming from the field behind the oxen. And Saul said, “What is wrong with the people, that they are weeping?” So they told him the news of the men of Jabesh.

Amikor hallotta e beszédeket, Isten lelke Saulra szállt, és nagy haragra lobbant.

És mikor hallotta e beszédeket, az Úrnak lelke Saulra szálla, és az ő haragja nagyon felgerjede.

And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.

Cum a auzit Saul aceste lucruri, Duhul lui Dumnezeu a venit peste el, şi s-a mâniat foarte tare.

And the Spirit of God rushed upon Saul when he heard these words, and his anger was greatly kindled.

Vett egy pár ökröt, földarabolta azokat, és a követek által elküldte Izráel egész területére, e szavakkal: Aki nem vonul hadba Saul és Sámuel nyomában, annak ökreivel így cselekszenek! Az ÚR rettegést bocsátott a népre, és kivonultak mind egy szálig.

És vett egy pár ökröt, és feldarabolá azokat, és a követektől elküldé Izráelnek minden határára, mondván: A ki nem vonul Saul után és Sámuel után, annak ökreivel így cselekesznek. És az Úrnak félelme szálla a népre, és kivonulának mind egy szálig.

And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.

A luat o pereche de boi, i-a tăiat în bucăţi şi le-a trimis prin soli în tot ţinutul lui Israel, zicând: „Oricine nu va merge după Saul şi Samuel îşi va vedea boii tăiaţi la fel.” Groaza Domnului a apucat pe popor, care a pornit ca un singur om.

He took a yoke of oxen and cut them in pieces and sent them throughout all the territory of Israel by the hand of the messengers, saying, “Whoever does not come out after Saul and Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen!” Then the dread of the LORD fell upon the people, and they came out as one man.

Amikor Bezekben megszámlálta őket, Izráel fiai háromszázezren voltak, a júdabeliek pedig harmincezren.

És megszámlálá őket Bézekben. És Izráel fiai háromszázezeren valának, a Júdabeliek pedig harminczezeren.

And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.

Saul le-a făcut numărătoarea la Bezec; copiii lui Israel erau trei sute de mii, şi bărbaţii lui Iuda treizeci de mii.

When he mustered them at Bezek, the people of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.

Akkor ezt mondták a követeknek, akik hozzájuk érkeztek: Így szóljatok a jábés-gileádiaknak: Holnap, amikor már melegen tűz a nap, megszabadultok. Erre elmentek a követek, megmondták ezt a jábésbelieknek, ők pedig örvendeztek.

És mondának a követeknek, kik [oda] menének: Így szóljatok a Jábes- Gileádbelieknek: Holnap, mikor a nap felmelegszik, megszabadultok. És elmenének a követek, és megmondák a Jábesbelieknek, és ők örvendezének.

And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabeshgilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.

Ei au zis solilor care veniseră: „Aşa să vorbiţi locuitorilor Iabesului din Galaad: „Mâine, când va dogori soarele, veţi avea ajutor.” Solii au dus vestea aceasta celor din Iabes, care s-au umplut de bucurie

And they said to the messengers who had come, “Thus shall you say to the men of Jabesh-gilead: ‘Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you shall have salvation.’” When the messengers came and told the men of Jabesh, they were glad.

Aztán a jábésiek azt üzenték az ellenségnek: Holnap kimegyünk hozzátok, és úgy cselekedhettek velünk, ahogy jónak látjátok.

Mondának azért a Jábesbeliek: Holnap kimegyünk hozzátok, hogy egészen úgy cselekedjetek velünk, a mint néktek jónak tetszik.

Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.

şi au zis amoniţilor: „Mâine ne vom supune vouă, şi ne veţi face ce vă va plăcea.”

Therefore the men of Jabesh said, “Tomorrow we will give ourselves up to you, and you may do to us whatever seems good to you.”

Másnap pedig Saul három seregre osztotta a hadinépet, és kora hajnalban a táborra ütöttek, és vágták az ammóniakat mindaddig, amíg a nap kezdett melegen tűzni. Akik pedig megmaradtak, úgy szétszóródtak, hogy kettő sem maradt közülük együtt.

Másodnapon pedig Saul a népet három seregre osztá, és kora hajnalban a táborra ütének, és verték Ammont mindaddig, míg a nap felmelegedék; a kik pedig megmaradtak, úgy szétszórattak, hogy kettő sem maradt közülök együtt.

And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.

A doua zi, Saul a împărţit poporul în trei cete. Au pătruns în tabăra amoniţilor în straja dimineţii şi i-au bătut până la căldura zilei. Cei ce au scăpat au fost risipiţi şi n-au mai rămas doi laolaltă dintre ei.

And the next day Saul put the people in three companies. And they came into the midst of the camp in the morning watch and struck down the Ammonites until the heat of the day. And those who survived were scattered, so that no two of them were left together.

Akkor a nép azt mondta Sámuelnek: Ki volt az, aki azt mondta: Csak nem Saul fog rajtunk uralkodni?! Adjátok elő ezeket a férfiakat, hogy megöljük őket!

Akkor a nép monda Sámuelnek: Kicsoda volt az, a ki mondá: Saul fog-é rajtunk uralkodni? Adjátok elő a férfiakat, hogy megöljük őket!

And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.

Poporul a zis lui Samuel: „Cine zicea: „Saul să domnească peste noi?”? Daţi încoace pe oamenii aceia, ca să-i omorâm.”

Then the people said to Samuel, “Who is it that said, ‘Shall Saul reign over us?’ Bring the men, that we may put them to death.”

Saul azonban ezt felelte: Senkit sem szabad megölni a mai napon, mert ma szerzett szabadulást az ÚR Izráelnek.

Saul azonban azt mondá: Senkit se öljetek meg a mai napon, mert ma szerzett szabadulást az Úr Izráelnek.

And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel.

Dar Saul a zis: „Nimeni nu va fi omorât în ziua aceasta, căci astăzi Domnul a dat o izbăvire lui Israel.”

But Saul said, “Not a man shall be put to death this day, for today the LORD has worked salvation in Israel.”

Sámuel pedig ezt mondta a népnek: Gyertek, menjünk el Gilgálba, és újítsuk meg ott a királyságot.

Sámuel pedig monda a népnek: Jertek, menjünk el Gilgálba, és újítsuk meg ott a királyságot.

Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.

Şi Samuel a zis poporului: „Veniţi şi să mergem la Ghilgal, ca să întărim acolo împărăţia.”

Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let us go to Gilgal and there renew the kingdom.”

Erre az egész nép elment Gilgálba, és ott Gilgálban királlyá választották Sault az ÚR előtt. Majd hálaáldozatot mutattak be ott az ÚRnak, és nagyon örvendezett ott Saul minden izráeli férfival együtt.

Elméne azért az egész nép Gilgálba, és ott az Úr előtt Gilgálban királylyá tették Sault; és áldoztak ott hálaáldozatot az Úr előtt, és felette örvendezének ott, Saul és Izráelnek minden férfiai.

And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.

Tot poporul s-a dus la Ghilgal şi au pus pe Saul împărat, înaintea Domnului, la Ghilgal. Acolo au adus jertfe de mulţumire înaintea Domnului; şi Saul şi toţi oamenii lui Israel s-au înveselit foarte mult acolo.

So all the people went to Gilgal, and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal. There they sacrificed peace offerings before the LORD, and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
