Azután Dávid elmenekült a Ráma melletti Nájótból. Elment, és azt mondta Jónátánnak: Mit követtem el? Mi vétkem van, és mi a bűnöm apád előtt, hogy életemre tör?

Elfuta azért Dávid Nájóthból, mely Rámában van, és elméne és monda Jonathánnak: Mit cselekedtem? Mi vétkem van és mi bűnöm atyád előtt, hogy életemre tör?

And David fled from Naioth in Ramah, and came and said before Jonathan, What have I done? what is mine iniquity? and what is my sin before thy father, that he seeketh my life?

David a fugit din Naiot, de lângă Rama. S-a dus la Ionatan şi a zis: „Ce-am făcut eu? Care este nelegiuirea mea, care este păcatul meu înaintea tatălui tău, de vrea să-mi ia viaţa?”

Then David fled from Naioth in Ramah and came and said before Jonathan, “What have I done? What is my guilt? And what is my sin before your father, that he seeks my life?”

Ő pedig ezt felelte neki: Távol legyen tőlem! Nem fogsz meghalni! Hiszen apám nem tesz sem nagy, sem kicsiny dolgot úgy, hogy előttem föl ne tárná. Miért titkolná hát el előlem ezt a dolgot? Nem úgy van!

Ő pedig monda néki: Távol legyen! Te nem fogsz meghalni. Ímé az én atyám nem cselekszik sem nagy, sem kicsiny dolgot, hogy nékem meg ne mondaná. Miért titkolná el azért atyám előlem ezt a dolgot? Nem úgy van!

And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.

Ionatan i-a răspuns: „Ferească Dumnezeu! Nu vei muri. Tatăl meu nu face niciun lucru, fie mare, fie mic, fără să-mi dea de ştire; pentru ce mi-ar ascunde el lucrul acesta? Nu este nimic.”

And he said to him, “Far from it! You shall not die. Behold, my father does nothing either great or small without disclosing it to me. And why should my father hide this from me? It is not so.”

De Dávid megesküdött, és azt mondta: Biztosan tudja apád, hogy kedvelsz, ezért ezt gondolja: Ne tudja meg ezt Jónátán, hogy valamiképp meg ne szomorodjék. Bizonyosan él az ÚR, és él a te lelked, hogy alig egy lépés választ el a haláltól.

Mindazáltal Dávid még megesküvék, és monda: Bizonyára tudja a te atyád, hogy te kedvelsz engem, azért [azt] gondolá: Ne tudja ezt Jonathán, hogy valamikép meg ne szomorodjék. De bizonyára él az Úr és él a te lelked, hogy alig egy lépés van köztem és a halál között.

And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.

David a zis iarăşi, jurând: „Tatăl tău ştie bine că am căpătat trecere înaintea ta şi va fi zis: „Să nu ştie Ionatan, căci s-ar întrista.” Dar viu este Domnul şi viu este sufletul tău, că nu este decât un pas între mine şi moarte.”

But David vowed again, saying, “Your father knows well that I have found favor in your eyes, and he thinks, ‘Do not let Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved.’ But truly, as the LORD lives and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death.”

Jónátán így felelt Dávidnak: Bármit kíván a lelked, megteszem érted.

És felele Jonathán Dávidnak: A mit lelked kiván, megteszem éretted.

Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever thy soul desireth, I will even do it for thee.

Ionatan a zis lui David: „Pentru tine voi face tot ce vei vrea.”

Then Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you say, I will do for you.”

Dávid ezt mondta Jónátánnak: Íme, holnap újhold lesz, mikor a király asztalához kellene ülnöm, hogy vele egyem, de te engedj el engem, hogy elrejtőzzem a mezőn a harmadik nap estéjéig.

És monda Dávid Jonathánnak: Ímé holnap újhold lesz, mikor a királylyal kellene leülnöm, hogy egyem, de te bocsáss el engem, hogy elrejtőzzem a mezőn a harmadik [nap] estvéjéig.

And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.

Şi David i-a răspuns: „Iată că mâine este lună nouă şi ar trebui să şed să mănânc cu împăratul; lasă-mă să mă duc şi să mă ascund în câmpii până în seara zilei a treia.

David said to Jonathan, “Behold, tomorrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit at table with the king. But let me go, that I may hide myself in the field till the third day at evening.

Ha apád kérdezősködnék utánam, mondd ezt: Nagyon kérte Dávid tőlem, hogy hazasiethessen Betlehembe, az ő városába, mert most ott az egész nemzetségének esztendőnként való áldozata van.

Ha kérdezősködnék atyád utánam, [ezt] mondjad: Sürgősen kéredzett Dávid tőlem, hogy elmehessen Bethlehembe, az ő városába, mert ott az egész nemzetségnek esztendőnként való áldozatja van [most.]

If thy father at all miss me, then say, David earnestly asked leave of me that he might run to Bethlehem his city: for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the family.

Dacă tatăl tău va băga de seamă lipsa mea, să-i spui: „David m-a rugat să-l las să se ducă până la Betleem, în cetatea lui, pentru că acolo se aduce pentru toată familia o jertfă de peste an.”

If your father misses me at all, then say, ‘David earnestly asked leave of me to run to Bethlehem his city, for there is a yearly sacrifice there for all the clan.’

Ha azt fogja mondani: „Jól van”, úgy békében lehet szolgád. Ha pedig nagyon megharagudna, úgy tudd meg, hogy gonosz tettre határozta el magát.

Ha azt fogja mondani: Jól van, úgy békessége van a te szolgádnak; ha pedig nagyon megharagudnék, úgy tudd meg, hogy a gonosz tettre elhatározta magát.

If he say thus, It is well; thy servant shall have peace: but if he be very wroth, then be sure that evil is determined by him.

Şi dacă va zice: „Bine!”, atunci robul tău n-are nimic de temut; dar dacă-l va apuca mânia, să ştii că pieirea mea este lucru hotărât din partea lui.

If he says, ‘Good!’ it will be well with your servant, but if he is angry, then know that harm is determined by him.

Légy azért irgalmas szolgád iránt, hiszen az ÚR előtt kötöttél szövetséget velem, a te szolgáddal. Ha azonban gonoszság van bennem, ölj meg te. Miért vinnél apádhoz?

Cselekedjél azért irgalmasságot a te szolgáddal, mert az Úr előtt szövetséget kötöttél én velem, a te szolgáddal. Ha azonban gonoszság van bennem, ölj meg te; miért vinnél atyádhoz engemet?

Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a covenant of the LORD with thee: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father?

Arată-ţi, dar, dragostea pentru robul tău, căci ai făcut cu robul tău un legământ înaintea Domnului. Şi dacă este vreo nelegiuire în mine, ia-mi tu viaţa, de ce să mă mai duci până la tatăl tău?”

Therefore deal kindly with your servant, for you have brought your servant into a covenant of the LORD with you. But if there is guilt in me, kill me yourself, for why should you bring me to your father?”

Jónátán pedig így felelt: Távol legyen az tőled! Ha biztosan megtudom, hogy apám elhatározta magát arra, hogy a gonosz tettet rajtad végrehajtsa, hát nem mondanám-e meg neked?

Jonathán pedig felelé: Távol legyen az tőled! Ha bizonyosan megtudom, hogy atyám elhatározta magát [arra,] hogy a gonosz tettet rajtad végrehajtsa, avagy nem mondanám-é meg azt néked?

And Jonathan said, Far be it from thee: for if I knew certainly that evil were determined by my father to come upon thee, then would not I tell it thee?

Ionatan i-a zis: „Departe de tine gândul să nu-ţi dau de ştire, dacă voi afla că pieirea ta este lucru hotărât din partea tatălui meu şi ameninţă să te ajungă!”

And Jonathan said, “Far be it from you! If I knew that it was determined by my father that harm should come to you, would I not tell you?”

Dávid ezt felelte Jónátánnak: Ki adja nekem tudtomra, hogy atyád kemény választ adott-e?

És monda Dávid Jonathánnak: Kicsoda adja nékem tudtomra, hogy a mit atyád felelni fog néked, szigorú-é?

Then said David to Jonathan, Who shall tell me? or what if thy father answer thee roughly?

David a zis lui Ionatan: „Cine-mi va da de ştire dacă tatăl tău ţi-ar răspunde cu asprime?”

Then David said to Jonathan, “Who will tell me if your father answers you roughly?”

Jónátán azt mondta Dávidnak: Jöjj, menjünk ki a mezőre. És ki is mentek mindketten a mezőre.

És monda Jonathán Dávidnak: Jer, menjünk ki a mezőre; és kimenének mindketten a mezőre.

And Jonathan said unto David, Come, and let us go out into the field. And they went out both of them into the field.

Şi Ionatan a zis lui David: „Vino să ieşim pe câmp.” Şi au ieşit amândoi pe câmp.

And Jonathan said to David, “Come, let us go out into the field.” So they both went out into the field.

Ekkor azt mondta Jónátán Dávidnak: Az ÚR az Izráel Istene. Ha holnap vagy holnapután ez idő tájt kipuhatolhatom apámtól, hogy jóakarattal van-e Dávid iránt, akkor hozzád küldök, és megüzenem neked.

Akkor monda Jonathán Dávidnak: Az Úr az Izráelnek Istene; ha kipuhatolhatom atyámtól holnap ilyenkorig [vagy] holnapután, hogy ímé Dávid iránt jó [akarattal] van, tehát nem küldök-é ki akkor hozzád és jelentem-é meg néked?

And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;

Ionatan a zis lui David: „Iau martor pe Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel că voi cerceta de aproape pe tatăl meu mâine sau poimâine; şi de va gândi bine de David,

And Jonathan said to David, “The LORD, the God of Israel, be witness! When I have sounded out my father, about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if he is well disposed toward David, shall I not then send and disclose it to you?

Úgy cselekedjék az ÚR Jónátánnal most és azután is, hogy ha apámnak az tetszenék, hogy gonoszul bánjon veled, tudtodra adom, s akkor elengedlek, hogy békében elmehess. És az ÚR legyen veled, mint volt az én apámmal!

Úgy cselekedjék az Úr Jonathánnal [most] és azután is, ha atyámnak az tetszenék, hogy gonoszszal illessen téged: hogy tudtodra adom néked, és elküldelek téged, hogy békében elmehess. És az Úr legyen veled, mint volt az én atyámmal!

The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

Domnul să Se poarte cu Ionatan cu toată asprimea, dacă nu voi trimite pe nimeni să-ţi dea de ştire! Dacă tatăl meu va găsi cu cale să-ţi facă rău, iarăşi îţi voi da de ştire şi te voi lăsa să pleci, ca să te duci în pace; şi Domnul să fie cu tine, cum a fost cu tatăl meu!

But should it please my father to do you harm, the LORD do so to Jonathan and more also if I do not disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. May the LORD be with you, as he has been with my father.

Ha életben maradok, cselekedjél velem az ÚR irgalmassága szerint, hogy meg ne haljak.

És ne [csak] a míg én élek, és ne [csak] magammal cselekedjél az Úrnak irgalmassága szerint, hogy meg ne haljak;

And thou shalt not only while yet I live shew me the kindness of the LORD, that I die not:

Dacă voi mai trăi, să te porţi faţă de mine cu o bunătate ca a Domnului; şi dacă voi muri,

If I am still alive, show me the steadfast love of the LORD, that I may not die;

És ne vond meg irgalmasságodat az én házamtól soha, még akkor se, ha az ÚR kiirtja Dávid valamennyi ellenségét a föld színéről!

Hanem meg ne vond irgalmasságodat az én házamtól soha, még akkor se, hogyha az Úr kiirtja Dávid ellenségeit, mindegyiket a földnek színéről!

But also thou shalt not cut off thy kindness from my house for ever: no, not when the LORD hath cut off the enemies of David every one from the face of the earth.

să nu îţi îndepărtezi niciodată bunătatea faţă de casa mea, nici chiar când Domnul va nimici pe fiecare din vrăjmaşii lui David de pe faţa pământului.

and do not cut off your steadfast love from my house forever, when the LORD cuts off every one of the enemies of David from the face of the earth.”

Így szerzett szövetséget Jónátán Dávid házával, és azt mondta: Az ÚR fogja számon kérni Dávid ellenségeit.

Így szerze szövetséget Jonathán a Dávid házával; [mondván:] vegyen számot az Úr a Dávid ellenségeitől.

So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David's enemies.

Căci Ionatan a făcut legământ cu casa lui David! Domnul să Se răzbune pe vrăjmaşii lui David!”

And Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, “May the LORD take vengeance on David’s enemies.”

Ezután Jónátán még egyszer megeskette Dávidot őiránta való szeretete felől, mert Jónátán is úgy szerette őt, mint a saját lelkét.

És Jonathán még egyszer megesketé Dávidot, iránta való szeretetéből; mert úgy szerette őt, mint a saját lelkét.

And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.

Ionatan a întărit şi mai mult faţă de David dragostea pe care o avea pentru el, căci îl iubea ca pe sufletul lui.

And Jonathan made David swear again by his love for him, for he loved him as he loved his own soul.

Majd azt mondta neki Jónátán: Holnap újhold lesz, és kérdezősködni fognak utánad, mert üres lesz a helyed.

Monda pedig néki Jonathán: Holnap újhold lesz, és kérdezősködni fognak utánad, mert helyed üres leend.

Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty.

Ionatan i-a zis: „Mâine este luna nouă; se va băga de seamă lipsa ta, căci locul tău va fi gol.

Then Jonathan said to him, “Tomorrow is the new moon, and you will be missed, because your seat will be empty.

Három nap múlva pedig jöjj ide le gyorsan, és menj arra a helyre, ahol elrejtőztél a múltkor, s maradj ott az útjelző kő mellett.

A harmadik napon pedig jőjj alá gyorsan, és eredj arra a helyre, a hol elrejtőzél amaz esemény napján, és maradj ott az útmutató kő mellett.

And when thou hast stayed three days, then thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the place where thou didst hide thyself when the business was in hand, and shalt remain by the stone Ezel.

Să te cobori a treia zi până în fundul locului în care te ascunseseşi în ziua când cu întâmplarea aceea şi să rămâi lângă piatra Ezel.

On the third day go down quickly to the place where you hid yourself when the matter was in hand, and remain beside the stone heap.

Én pedig három nyilat lövök az oldalához, mintha célba lőnék.

És én három nyilat lövök oldalához, mintha magamtól czélba lőnék.

And I will shoot three arrows on the side thereof, as though I shot at a mark.

Eu voi trage trei săgeţi înspre piatra aceasta, ca şi când aş lovi la ţintă.

And I will shoot three arrows to the side of it, as though I shot at a mark.

Majd utánuk küldök egy gyermeket: Eredj, keresd meg a nyilakat! Ha azt mondom a gyermeknek: „Erre mögötted vannak, hozd el azokat”, akkor jöjj elő, mert él az ÚR, békén hagynak, és nincs semmi baj!

És ímé [utánuk] küldöm a gyermeket: Eredj, keresd meg a nyilakat. Ha azt mondom a gyermeknek: Ímé mögötted vannak emerre: hozd el azokat és jőjj elő, mert békességed van néked, és nincs baj, él az Úr!

And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: for there is peace to thee, and no hurt; as the LORD liveth.

Şi voi trimite un tânăr şi-i voi zice: „Du-te de găseşte săgeţile!” Dacă-i voi zice: „Iată că săgeţile sunt dincoace de tine, ia-le!”, atunci să vii, căci este pace pentru tine şi n-ai să te temi de nimic, viu este Domnul!

And behold, I will send the boy, saying, ‘Go, find the arrows.’ If I say to the boy, ‘Look, the arrows are on this side of you, take them,’ then you are to come, for, as the LORD lives, it is safe for you and there is no danger.

Ha pedig azt mondom a gyermeknek: „Arra, messze előtted vannak a nyilak”, akkor menj el, mert elküldött téged az ÚR.

Ha pedig azt mondom a gyermeknek: Ímé előtted vannak a nyilak amarra: [akkor] menj el, mert elküldött téged az Úr.

But if I say thus unto the young man, Behold, the arrows are beyond thee; go thy way: for the LORD hath sent thee away.

Dar dacă voi zice tânărului: „Iată că săgeţile sunt dincolo de tine!”, atunci să pleci, căci Domnul te trimite.

But if I say to the youth, ‘Look, the arrows are beyond you,’ then go, for the LORD has sent you away.

És erre a dologra nézve, amelyet megbeszéltünk egymással: íme, az ÚR legyen a tanú közöttünk mindörökké!

És erre a dologra nézve, a melyet megbeszéltünk egymás közt, ímé az Úr [legyen bizonyság] közöttem és közötted mind örökké!

And as touching the matter which thou and I have spoken of, behold, the LORD be between thee and me for ever.

Domnul este martor pe vecie pentru cuvântul pe care ni l-am dat unul altuia.”

And as for the matter of which you and I have spoken, behold, the LORD is between you and me forever.”

Akkor Dávid elrejtőzött a mezőn. Amikor az újhold eljött, a király asztalhoz ült, hogy egyék.

Elrejtőzék azért Dávid a mezőn. És mikor az újhold eljött, leült a király az ebédhez, hogy egyék.

So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat.

David s-a ascuns în câmp. A venit luna nouă, şi împăratul a luat loc la ospăţ ca să mănânce.

So David hid himself in the field. And when the new moon came, the king sat down to eat food.

És mikor leült a székébe – most is úgy, mint máskor –, a fal mellett levő székbe, Jónátán fölkelt, és Abnér ült Saul mellé. Dávid helye pedig üresen maradt.

És mikor leült a király a maga székébe, most is [úgy], mint máskor, a fal mellett levő székbe: Jonathán felkele, és Abner ült Saul mellé; a Dávid helye pedig üres vala.

And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, even upon a seat by the wall: and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul's side, and David's place was empty.

Împăratul a şezut ca de obicei pe scaunul lui lângă perete. Ionatan s-a sculat, şi Abner a şezut lângă Saul; dar locul lui David a rămas gol.

The king sat on his seat, as at other times, on the seat by the wall. Jonathan sat opposite, and Abner sat by Saul’s side, but David’s place was empty.

De Saul semmit sem szólt azon a napon, mert azt gondolta: Valami történt vele; nem tiszta, biztosan nem tiszta.

És Saul semmit sem szólott azon a napon, mert azt gondolá: Valami történt vele; nem tiszta, bizonyosan nem tiszta.

Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath befallen him, he is not clean; surely he is not clean.

Saul n-a zis nimic în ziua aceea; „Căci”, zicea el, „s-a întâmplat: el nu este curat, negreşit nu este curat.”

Yet Saul did not say anything that day, for he thought, “Something has happened to him. He is not clean; surely he is not clean.”

Az újhold után következő napon, amikor ismét üres volt Dávid helye, azt mondta Saul a fiának, Jónátánnak: Miért nem jött el Isai fia az étkezésre sem tegnap, sem ma?

És lőn az újhold után következő napon, a második [napon,] mikor [ismét] üres volt a Dávid helye, monda Saul az ő fiának, Jonathánnak: Isainak fia miért nem jött el az ebédre sem tegnap, sem ma?

And it came to pass on the morrow, which was the second day of the month, that David's place was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of Jesse to meat, neither yesterday, nor to day?

A doua zi, ziua a doua a lunii noi, locul lui David era tot gol. Şi Saul a zis fiului său Ionatan: „Pentru ce n-a venit fiul lui Isai la masă nici ieri, nici azi?”

But on the second day, the day after the new moon, David’s place was empty. And Saul said to Jonathan his son, “Why has not the son of Jesse come to the meal, either yesterday or today?”

Jónátán pedig így felelt Saulnak: Elkérte magát tőlem Dávid Betlehembe.

Jonathán pedig felele Saulnak: Elkéredzék tőlem Dávid Bethlehembe;

And Jonathan answered Saul, David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem:

Ionatan a răspuns lui Saul: „David mi-a cerut voie să se ducă la Betleem.

Jonathan answered Saul, “David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem.

Azt mondta: Kérlek, engedj el, mert nemzetségünknek áldozata van most a városban, és ezt parancsolta nekem a bátyám. Ha tehát kedvelsz engem, kérlek, hadd menjek el, hogy megnézzem a testvéreimet! Ezért nem jött el a király asztalához.

És monda: Ugyan bocsáss el engem, mert nemzetségünknek áldozata van most a városban, és [ezt] parancsolta nékem bátyám; azért, ha kedvelsz engem, kérlek, hadd menjek el, hogy megnézzem testvéreimet. Ezért nem jött el a király asztalához.

And he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our family hath a sacrifice in the city; and my brother, he hath commanded me to be there: and now, if I have found favour in thine eyes, let me get away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. Therefore he cometh not unto the king's table.

El a zis: „Dă-mi drumul, te rog, căci avem în cetate o jertfă de familie, şi fratele meu mi-a spus lucrul acesta; deci dacă am căpătat trecere înaintea ta, dă-mi voie să mă duc în grabă să-mi văd fraţii.” Pentru aceea n-a venit la masa împăratului.”

He said, ‘Let me go, for our clan holds a sacrifice in the city, and my brother has commanded me to be there. So now, if I have found favor in your eyes, let me get away and see my brothers.’ For this reason he has not come to the king’s table.”

Ekkor fölgerjedt Saul haragja Jónátán ellen, és azt mondta neki: Te elfajult, engedetlen gyermek! Jól tudom, hogy kiválasztottad Isai fiát a magad gyalázatára és anyád nagy szégyenére!

Akkor felgerjede Saulnak haragja Jonathán ellen és monda néki: Te elfajult, engedetlen gyermek! Jól tudom, hogy kiválasztottad az Isainak fiát a magad gyalázatára és anyád szemérmének gyalázatára!

Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness?

Atunci Saul s-a aprins de mânie împotriva lui Ionatan şi i-a zis: „Fiu rău şi neascultător, nu ştiu eu că ţi-ai luat ca prieten pe fiul lui Isai, spre ruşinea ta şi spre ruşinea mamei tale?

Then Saul’s anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said to him, “You son of a perverse, rebellious woman, do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?

Mert, amíg Isai fia él e földön, sem belőled, sem királyságodból nem lesz semmi! Most tehát küldj érte, és hozasd ide hozzám, mert a halál fia ő.

For as long as the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, for he shall surely die.

Jónátán azonban így válaszolt apjának, Saulnak: Miért kellene meghalnia, mit vétett?

Jonathán pedig felele Saulnak, az ő atyjának, és monda néki: Miért kell meghalnia, mit vétett?

And Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done?

Ionatan a răspuns tatălui său, Saul, şi i-a zis: „Pentru ce să fie omorât? Ce a făcut?”

Then Jonathan answered Saul his father, “Why should he be put to death? What has he done?”

Erre Saul feléje dobta a dárdáját, hogy átüsse őt. Ebből megértette Jónátán, hogy apja elhatározta, hogy megöli Dávidot.

Akkor Saul utána dobta dárdáját, hogy általüsse őt. És megérté Jonathán, hogy atyja elvégezé, hogy megölje Dávidot.

And Saul cast a javelin at him to smite him: whereby Jonathan knew that it was determined of his father to slay David.

Şi Saul şi-a îndreptat suliţa spre el, ca să-l lovească. Ionatan a înţeles că era lucru hotărât din partea tatălui său să omoare pe David.

But Saul hurled his spear at him to strike him. So Jonathan knew that his father was determined to put David to death.

Fölkelt tehát az asztaltól nagy haraggal, és semmit sem evett az újhold második napján, mert bánkódott Dávid miatt, akit apja gyalázattal illetett.

So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.

S-a sculat de la masă într-o mânie aprinsă şi n-a luat deloc parte la masă în ziua a doua a lunii noi; căci era mâhnit din pricina lui David, pentru că tatăl său îl ocărâse.

And Jonathan rose from the table in fierce anger and ate no food the second day of the month, for he was grieved for David, because his father had disgraced him.

And it came to pass in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little lad with him.

And he said unto his lad, Run, find out now the arrows which I shoot. And as the lad ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.

El i-a zis: „Dă fuga şi găseşte săgeţile pe care le voi trage.” Băiatul a alergat, şi Ionatan a tras o săgeată care a trecut dincolo de el.

And he said to his boy, “Run and find the arrows that I shoot.” As the boy ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.

És amikor a gyermek arra a helyre ért, ahol a nyíl volt, amelyet Jónátán ellőtt, a gyermek után kiáltott: Messzebb van a nyíl, előtted!

És mikor a gyermek arra a helyre érkezék, a hol a nyíl vala, melyet Jonathán ellőtt, a gyermek után kiálta Jonathán, és monda: Avagy nem tovább van-é a nyíl előtted?

And when the lad was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, Is not the arrow beyond thee?

And when the boy came to the place of the arrow that Jonathan had shot, Jonathan called after the boy and said, “Is not the arrow beyond you?”

Majd a gyermek után kiáltott: Gyorsan siess, meg ne állj! És a gyermek, aki Jónátánnal volt, fölszedte a nyilat, és urához ment vele.

És kiálta Jonathán a gyermek után: Gyorsan siess, meg ne állj! És a gyermek, ki Jonathánnal vala, felszedé a nyilat és urához ment.

And Jonathan cried after the lad, Make speed, haste, stay not. And Jonathan's lad gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.

I-a strigat iarăşi: „Iute, grăbeşte-te, nu te opri!” Şi băiatul lui Ionatan a strâns săgeţile şi s-a întors la stăpânul lui.

And Jonathan called after the boy, “Hurry! Be quick! Do not stay!” So Jonathan’s boy gathered up the arrows and came to his master.

Azután Jónátán átadta fegyverét a gyermeknek, és azt mondta neki: Eredj, és vidd be a városba!

And Jonathan gave his artillery unto his lad, and said unto him, Go, carry them to the city.

Ionatan a dat băiatului armele şi i-a zis: „Du-te şi du-le în cetate!”

And Jonathan gave his weapons to his boy and said to him, “Go and carry them to the city.”

And as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of a place toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded.

După plecarea băiatului, David s-a sculat din partea de miazăzi, apoi s-a aruncat cu faţa la pământ şi s-a închinat de trei ori. Cei doi prieteni s-au îmbrăţişat şi au plâns împreună. David mai ales se prăpădea plângând.

And as soon as the boy had gone, David rose from beside the stone heap and fell on his face to the ground and bowed three times. And they kissed one another and wept with one another, David weeping the most.

Akkor Jónátán azt mondta Dávidnak: Menj el békességgel, mivel így esküdtünk meg mindketten az ÚR nevére: Az ÚR legyen tanú közöttünk és utódaink között mindörökre.

Akkor monda Jonathán Dávidnak: Eredj el békességgel! Mivelhogy megesküdtünk mind a ketten az Úrnak nevére, mondván: Az Úr legyen köztem és közted, az én magom között és a te magod között örökre.

And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.

Şi Ionatan a zis lui David: „Du-te în pace, acum când am jurat amândoi în Numele Domnului, zicând: „Domnul să fie pe vecie între mine şi tine, între sămânţa mea şi sămânţa ta!” David s-a sculat şi a plecat, iar Ionatan s-a întors în cetate.

Then Jonathan said to David, “Go in peace, because we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, ‘The LORD shall be between me and you, and between my offspring and your offspring, forever.’” And he rose and departed, and Jonathan went into the city.
