Aztán Sámuel meghalt; és összegyűlt egész Izráel, elsiratták és eltemették a házában, Rámában. Dávid pedig fölkelt, és elment Párán pusztájába.

Meghala pedig Sámuel, és egybegyűle az egész Izráel, és siratták őt, és eltemették az ő házában Rámában. Dávid pedig felkelt és elment Párán pusztájába.

And Samuel died; and all the Israelites were gathered together, and lamented him, and buried him in his house at Ramah. And David arose, and went down to the wilderness of Paran.

Samuel a murit. Tot Israelul s-a adunat şi l-a plâns şi l-au îngropat în locuinţa lui, la Rama. Atunci David s-a sculat şi s-a coborât în pustiul Paran.

Now Samuel died. And all Israel assembled and mourned for him, and they buried him in his house at Ramah. Then David rose and went down to the wilderness of Paran.

And there was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was very great, and he had three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.

În Maon era un om foarte bogat, a cărui avere era în Carmel; avea trei mii de oi şi o mie de capre şi se afla la Carmel pentru tunderea oilor lui.

And there was a man in Maon whose business was in Carmel. The man was very rich; he had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats. He was shearing his sheep in Carmel.

A férfit Nábálnak, feleségét pedig Abigailnak hívták; igen eszes és szép termetű asszony volt. A férfi azonban durva és rossz erkölcsű, Káléb nemzetségéből való.

(Azt az embert pedig Nábálnak, és feleségét Abigailnak hívták, a ki igen eszes és szép termetű asszony volt; a férfi azonban durva és rossz erkölcsű vala, a Káleb nemzetségéből való volt.)

Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.

Numele acestui om era Nabal, şi nevasta lui se chema Abigail; era o femeie cu judecată şi frumoasă la chip, dar bărbatul ei era aspru şi rău în faptele lui. El se trăgea din Caleb.

Now the name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. The woman was discerning and beautiful, but the man was harsh and badly behaved; he was a Calebite.

elküldött tíz ifjút hozzá. Azt mondta Dávid az ifjaknak: Menjetek föl Karmelba, és mikor Nábálhoz érkeztek, köszöntsétek nevemben békességgel.

And David sent out ten young men, and David said unto the young men, Get you up to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and greet him in my name:

So David sent ten young men. And David said to the young men, “Go up to Carmel, and go to Nabal and greet him in my name.

And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be unto all that thou hast.

şi să-i vorbiţi aşa: „Să trăieşti în pace, şi pacea să fie cu casa ta şi cu tot ce este al tău.

And thus you shall greet him: ‘Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.

Most hallottam, hogy juhaidat nyírják. Amikor velünk voltak a pásztoraid, nem bántottuk őket, és semmijük sem hiányzott azalatt, amíg Karmelban voltak.

And now I have heard that thou hast shearers: now thy shepherds which were with us, we hurt them not, neither was there ought missing unto them, all the while they were in Carmel.

Kérdezd meg a szolgáidat, ők is megmondják neked. Legyenek azért ezek az ifjak kedvesek előtted, mert alkalmas időben jöttünk. Kérlek, adj hát szolgáidnak és fiadnak, Dávidnak abból, ami rendelkezésedre áll.

Ask thy young men, and they will shew thee. Wherefore let the young men find favour in thine eyes: for we come in a good day: give, I pray thee, whatsoever cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and to thy son David.

Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever you have at hand to your servants and to your son David.’”

And when David's young men came, they spake to Nabal according to all those words in the name of David, and ceased.

When David’s young men came, they said all this to Nabal in the name of David, and then they waited.

Nábál így felelt Dávid szolgáinak: Ki az a Dávid, és kicsoda az az Isai fia? Manapság sok olyan szolga van, aki elszökött az urától.

Nábál pedig felele a Dávid szolgáinak, és monda: Kicsoda Dávid és kicsoda Isainak fia? Mai napság sok [olyan] szolga van, a kik elszöknek uraiktól.

And Nabal answered David's servants, and said, Who is David? and who is the son of Jesse? there be many servants now a days that break away every man from his master.

Nabal a răspuns slujitorilor lui David: „Cine este David şi cine este fiul lui Isai? Astăzi sunt mulţi slujitori care fug de la stăpâni.

And Nabal answered David’s servants, “Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants these days who are breaking away from their masters.

Fogjam a kenyeremet és vizemet és a marhát, amelyet nyíróimnak levágattam, hogy olyan embereknek adjam, akikről azt sem tudom, hova valók?

Shall I then take my bread, and my water, and my flesh that I have killed for my shearers, and give it unto men, whom I know not whence they be?

Shall I take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers and give it to men who come from I do not know where?”

Erre Dávid szolgái megfordultak és visszatértek. Amikor megérkeztek, elbeszélték neki mindezt.

So David's young men turned their way, and went again, and came and told him all those sayings.

So David’s young men turned away and came back and told him all this.

Akkor azt mondta Dávid az embereinek: Kösse föl mindenki a kardját! És felkötötte mindenki a kardját. Dávid is a magáét, és fölment utána mintegy négyszáz ember, kétszáz pedig ott maradt a fölszerelésnél.

And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his sword: and there went up after David about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff.

Atunci David a zis oamenilor săi: „Fiecare din voi să-şi încingă sabia!” Şi fiecare şi-a încins sabia. David şi-a încins şi el sabia, şi aproape patru sute de inşi s-au suit după el. Au mai rămas doar două sute la calabalâcuri.

And David said to his men, “Every man strap on his sword!” And every man of them strapped on his sword. David also strapped on his sword. And about four hundred men went up after David, while two hundred remained with the baggage.

Abigailnak, Nábál feleségének azonban az egyik ifjú elmondta: Dávid követeket küldött a pusztából, hogy köszöntsék urunkat, de ő elűzte őket.

But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, saying, Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to salute our master; and he railed on them.

But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal’s wife, “Behold, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to greet our master, and he railed at them.

Pedig azok az emberek igen jók voltak hozzánk. Nem volt semmi bántódásunk tőlük, és semmink sem hiányzott azalatt, amíg velük jártunk, amikor a mezőn voltunk.

But the men were very good unto us, and we were not hurt, neither missed we any thing, as long as we were conversant with them, when we were in the fields:

Yet the men were very good to us, and we suffered no harm, and we did not miss anything when we were in the fields, as long as we went with them.

They were a wall unto us both by night and day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.

Most azért gondold meg és lásd, hogy mit kell cselekedned, mert itt a veszedelem a mi urunk és egész háza népe ellen! Ő pedig olyan gonosz ember, hogy nem lehet beszélni vele!

Most azért értsd meg és lássad, hogy mit kelljen cselekedned, mert jelen van a veszedelem a mi urunk és az ő egész háza ellen, ő pedig oly kegyetlen ember, hogy senki sem szólhat néki.

Now therefore know and consider what thou wilt do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.

Să ştii acum şi vezi ce ai de făcut, căci pierderea stăpânului nostru şi a întregii lui case este hotărâtă, şi el este aşa de rău încât nimeni nu îndrăzneşte să-i vorbească.”

Now therefore know this and consider what you should do, for harm is determined against our master and against all his house, and he is such a worthless man that one cannot speak to him.”

Akkor Abigail sietve vett kétszáz kenyeret, két tömlő bort, öt juhot elkészítve, öt mérték pörkölt búzát, száz kötés aszúszőlőt, kétszáz kötés száraz fügét, és szamarakra rakta.

Then Abigail made haste and took two hundred loaves and two skins of wine and five sheep already prepared and five seahs of parched grain and a hundred clusters of raisins and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on donkeys.

And she said unto her servants, Go on before me; behold, I come after you. But she told not her husband Nabal.

And she said to her young men, “Go on before me; behold, I come after you.” But she did not tell her husband Nabal.

Amikor a szamáron ülve a hegy egyik mellékösvényén leereszkedett, íme, Dávid és az emberei szemből jöttek lefelé, és ő összetalálkozott velük.

És történt, hogy a mint a szamáron megy vala, és leereszkedék a hegynek [egyik] mellékösvényén: ímé Dávid és az ő emberei lejövének eleibe, és ő összetalálkozék velök.

And it was so, as she rode on the ass, that she came down by the covert on the hill, and, behold, David and his men came down against her; and she met them.

Ea a încălecat pe un măgar, a coborât muntele pe un drum tufos, şi iată că David şi oamenii lui se coborau în faţa ei, aşa că i-a întâlnit. –

And as she rode on the donkey and came down under cover of the mountain, behold, David and his men came down toward her, and she met them.

Dávid pedig ezt mondta: Bizony hiába őriztem ennek az embernek mindenét a pusztában úgy, hogy semmi híja sem lett mindannak, ami az övé, mert a jó helyett rosszal fizet nekem.

Dávid pedig [azt] mondotta volt: Bizony hiába őriztem ennek mindenét, a mije van a pusztában, hogy semmi híjja nem lett mindannak, a mi az övé, mert ő a jó helyett roszszal fizet nékem.

Now David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow hath in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained unto him: and he hath requited me evil for good.

David zisese: „În zadar am păzit tot ce are omul acesta în pustiu, de nu s-a luat nimic din tot ce are, căci mi-a întors rău pentru bine.

Now David had said, “Surely in vain have I guarded all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that belonged to him, and he has returned me evil for good.

Úgy cselekedjék Isten Dávid ellenségeivel most és ezután is, hogy reggelig nem hagyok még egy ebet sem mindabból, ami az övé!

So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.

Dumnezeu să pedepsească pe robul Său David cu toată asprimea, dacă voi mai lăsa să rămână până la lumina zilei pe cineva de parte bărbătească din tot ce este al lui Nabal!”

God do so to the enemies of David and more also, if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him.”

Mikor pedig Abigail meglátta Dávidot, sietve leszállt a szamárról, arccal leborult Dávid előtt, és a földig hajolt.

And when Abigail saw David, she hasted, and lighted off the ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground,

When Abigail saw David, she hurried and got down from the donkey and fell before David on her face and bowed to the ground.

A lábához borult, és azt mondta: Ó, uram! Én magam vagyok a bűnös, de hadd beszéljen szolgálóleányod teelőtted, és hallgasd meg szolgálóleányod szavait.

És az ő lábaihoz borula, és monda: Óh uram! én magam vagyok a bűnös, mindazáltal hadd beszéljen a te szolgálóleányod te előtted, és hallgasd meg szolgálóleányodnak szavait.

And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid.

She fell at his feet and said, “On me alone, my lord, be the guilt. Please let your servant speak in your ears, and hear the words of your servant.

Kérlek, ne törődjék az én uram Nábállal, ezzel a gonosz emberrel, mert amilyen a neve, olyan ő maga is. Bolond az ő neve, és bolondságot csinál. Én azonban, a te szolgálóleányod, nem láttam az én uram szolgáit, akiket küldtél.

Kérlek, ne törődjék az én uram Nábállal, ezzel a kegyetlen emberrel, mert a milyen a neve, olyan ő maga is; bolond az ő neve és bolondság van benne. Én azonban, a te szolgálóleányod, nem láttam az én uramnak szolgáit, a kiket elküldöttél volt.

Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.

Să nu-şi pună domnul meu mintea cu omul acela rău, cu Nabal, căci, cum îi este numele, aşa este şi el; Nabal îi este numele şi este plin de nebunie. Şi eu, roaba ta, n-am văzut pe oamenii trimişi de domnul meu.

Let not my lord regard this worthless fellow, Nabal, for as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name, and folly is with him. But I your servant did not see the young men of my lord, whom you sent.

Most pedig, ó, uram, az élő ÚRra és a te életedre mondom, hogy az ÚR akadályozott meg téged abban, hogy gyilkosságba essél, és a magad kezével szerezz magadnak elégtételt. Most azért úgy járjanak ellenségeid, mint Nábál, és mindazok, akik a vesztedre törnek, uram.

Most pedig, óh uram! él az Úr és él a te lelked, hogy az Úr akadályozott meg téged, hogy gyilkosságba ne essél, és ne [saját] kezeddel szerezz magadnak elégtételt. Most azért olyanok legyenek ellenségeid, mint Nábál, és valakik az én uramnak megrontására törekesznek.

Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to shed blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.

Acum, domnul meu, viu este Domnul şi viu este sufletul tău, că Domnul te-a oprit să verşi sânge şi să te ajuţi cu mâna ta. Vrăjmaşii tăi, cei ce vor răul domnului meu, să fie ca Nabal!

Now then, my lord, as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, because the LORD has restrained you from bloodguilt and from saving with your own hand, now then let your enemies and those who seek to do evil to my lord be as Nabal.

Ezt az ajándékot pedig, amelyet szolgálóleányod hozott az én uramnak, adják a vitézeknek, akik az én uram körül forgolódnak.

És most ezt az ajándékot, a melyet a te szolgálóleányod hozott az én uramnak, adják a vitézeknek, a kik az én uram körül forgolódnak.

And now this blessing which thine handmaid hath brought unto my lord, let it even be given unto the young men that follow my lord.

Primeşte darul acesta pe care-l aduce roaba ta domnului meu şi să se împartă oamenilor care merg după domnul meu.

And now let this present that your servant has brought to my lord be given to the young men who follow my lord.

Bocsásd meg azért szolgálóleányod vétkét, mert az én uramnak bizonyára maradandó házat épít az ÚR, hiszen az ÚR harcait harcolja az én uram, és nem található gonoszság a te életedben.

Bocsásd meg azért a te szolgálóleányodnak vétkét; mert az én uramnak bizonyára maradandó házat épít az Úr, mert az Úrnak harczait harczolja az én uram, és gonoszság nem találtatik te benned a te életedben.

I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.

Iartă, te rog, vina roabei tale, căci Domnul va face domnului meu o casă trainică; iartă, căci domnul meu poartă războaiele Domnului, şi niciodată nu va fi răutate în tine.

Please forgive the trespass of your servant. For the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house, because my lord is fighting the battles of the LORD, and evil shall not be found in you so long as you live.

És ha valaki fölkelne ellened, hogy üldözzön, és életed ellen törjön: az én uramnak lelke az élők csomójába lesz kötve az ÚRnál, a te Istenednél; ellenségeid lelkét pedig a parittyája közepéből hajítja el.

És ha valaki feltámadna ellened, hogy téged üldözzön és életed ellen törjön: az én uramnak lelke az élőknek csomójába leend bekötve az Úrnál a te Istenednél; ellenségeidnek lelkét pedig a parittyának öbléből fogja elhajítani.

Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.

Dacă se va ridica cineva care să te urmărească şi să vrea să-ţi ia viaţa, sufletul domnului meu va fi legat în mănunchiul celor vii la Domnul Dumnezeul tău, şi să arunce cu praştia sufletul vrăjmaşilor tăi.

If men rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living in the care of the LORD your God. And the lives of your enemies he shall sling out as from the hollow of a sling.

30

És amikor az ÚR majd beteljesíti mindazt a jót az én uramon, amit megígért felőled, és téged Izráel fejedelmévé tesz,

És mikor az Úr megadja a jót az én uramnak mind a szerint, a mint megmondotta felőled, és téged fejedelmül rendel Izráel fölé:

And it shall come to pass, when the LORD shall have done to my lord according to all the good that he hath spoken concerning thee, and shall have appointed thee ruler over Israel;

Când va face Domnul domnului meu tot binele pe care ţi l-a făgăduit, şi te va pune mai mare peste Israel,

And when the LORD has done to my lord according to all the good that he has spoken concerning you and has appointed you prince over Israel,

That this shall be no grief unto thee, nor offence of heart unto my lord, either that thou hast shed blood causeless, or that my lord hath avenged himself: but when the LORD shall have dealt well with my lord, then remember thine handmaid.

my lord shall have no cause of grief or pangs of conscience for having shed blood without cause or for my lord working salvation himself. And when the LORD has dealt well with my lord, then remember your servant.”

Erre Dávid azt mondta Abigailnak: Áldott legyen az ÚR, Izráel Istene, aki ma elém küldött téged!

És monda Dávid Abigailnak: Áldott legyen az Úr, Izráelnek Istene, a ki téged ma előmbe küldött!

And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me:

David a zis Abigailei: „Binecuvântat să fie Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel care te-a trimis astăzi înaintea mea!

And David said to Abigail, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me!

Áldott legyen a tanácsod, és áldott légy te magad is, hogy a mai napon megakadályoztál abban, hogy gyilkosságba essem, és saját kezemmel szerezzek magamnak elégtételt!

És áldott legyen a te tanácsod, és áldott légy te magad is, hogy a mai napon megakadályoztál engem, hogy gyilkosságba ne essem, és ne saját kezemmel szerezzek magamnak elégtételt!

And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.

Binecuvântată să fie judecata ta şi binecuvântată să fii tu, că m-ai oprit în ziua aceasta să vărs sânge şi mi-ai oprit mâna!

Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodguilt and from working salvation with my own hand!

Bizony él az ÚR, Izráel Istene, aki megakadályozott engem, hogy veled gonoszul cselekedjem, mert ha te nem siettél és nem jöttél volna elém, úgy Nábálnak nem maradt volna meg reggelre még csak egy ebe sem.

Bizonyára él az Úr, az Izráelnek Istene, a ki megakadályozott engem, hogy veled gonoszul ne cselekedjem, mert ha te nem siettél és nem jöttél volna előmbe, úgy Nábálnak nem maradt volna meg reggelre [csak] egyetlen ebe sem.

For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.

Dar viu este Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel care m-a oprit să-ţi fac rău că, dacă nu te-ai fi grăbit să vii înaintea mea, n-ar mai fi rămas nimic din ce este al lui Nabal, până la lumina zilei de mâine.”

For as surely as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, who has restrained me from hurting you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, truly by morning there had not been left to Nabal so much as one male.”

Akkor átvette Dávid az asszony kezéből, amit hozott, és azt mondta neki: Menj haza békességgel. Lásd, hallgattam a szavadra, és megbecsültem a személyedet.

És átvevé Dávid az ő kezéből, a mit hozott néki, és monda néki: Eredj el békességben a te házadhoz; lásd, hallgattam szavadra, és megbecsültem személyedet.

So David received of her hand that which she had brought him, and said unto her, Go up in peace to thine house; see, I have hearkened to thy voice, and have accepted thy person.

Then David received from her hand what she had brought him. And he said to her, “Go up in peace to your house. See, I have obeyed your voice, and I have granted your petition.”

Mikor pedig Abigail Nábálhoz visszaérkezett, íme, olyan lakoma volt a házában, akár egy király lakomája. Nábál mulatott, ezért igen megrészegedett. Ezért ő semmit sem mondott el neki, sem kicsit, sem nagyot, egészen reggelig.

And Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king; and Nabal's heart was merry within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore she told him nothing, less or more, until the morning light.

And Abigail came to Nabal, and behold, he was holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk. So she told him nothing at all until the morning light.

But it came to pass in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.

Dar dimineaţa, după ce trecuse beţia lui Nabal, nevasta sa i-a istorisit ce se întâmplase. Inima lui Nabal a primit o lovitură de moarte şi s-a făcut ca o piatră.

In the morning, when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.

Mintegy tíz nap múlva aztán megverte az ÚR Nábált, és meghalt.

És mintegy tíz nap mulva megveré az Úr Nábált, és meghala.

And it came to pass about ten days after, that the LORD smote Nabal, that he died.

Cam după zece zile, Domnul a lovit pe Nabal şi a murit.

And about ten days later the LORD struck Nabal, and he died.

Amikor Dávid meghallotta, hogy meghalt Nábál, azt mondta: Áldott legyen az ÚR, aki bosszút állt Nábálon, amiért engem gyalázott, és szolgáját visszatartotta a gonosztól; Nábál gonoszságát pedig visszafordította az ÚR az ő saját fejére! Azután üzenetet küldött Dávid Abigailnak, hogy elvenné feleségül.

És mikor Dávid meghallotta, hogy Nábál meghalt, monda: Áldott legyen az Úr, ki bosszút állott Nábálon az én gyaláztatásomért, és szolgáját visszatartotta a gonosztól, a Nábál gonoszságát pedig visszafordítá az Úr az ő fejére! És elkülde Dávid, és izent Abigailnak, hogy elvenné őt feleségéül.

And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.

David a aflat că murise Nabal şi a zis: „Binecuvântat să fie Domnul, că mi-a apărat pricina în ocara pe care mi-a făcut-o Nabal şi a împiedicat pe robul Său să facă rău! Domnul a făcut ca răutatea lui Nabal să cadă asupra capului lui.” David a trimis vorbă Abigailei că vrea s-o ia de nevastă.

When David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, “Blessed be the LORD who has avenged the insult I received at the hand of Nabal, and has kept back his servant from wrongdoing. The LORD has returned the evil of Nabal on his own head.” Then David sent and spoke to Abigail, to take her as his wife.

Elmentek azért Dávid szolgái Abigailhoz Karmelbe, és így szóltak: Dávid küldött minket hozzád, hogy feleségül vegyen.

And when the servants of David were come to Abigail to Carmel, they spake unto her, saying, David sent us unto thee, to take thee to him to wife.

When the servants of David came to Abigail at Carmel, they said to her, “David has sent us to you to take you to him as his wife.”

Ő pedig felállt, arccal a földig hajolt, és azt mondta: Íme, a te szolgálóleányod szolgáló lesz, hogy mossa az én uram szolgáinak a lábát.

Ő pedig felálla, és meghajtotta magát arczczal a földre, és monda: Ímé a te szolgálóleányod szolgáló lesz, hogy mossa az én uram szolgáinak lábait.

And she arose, and bowed herself on her face to the earth, and said, Behold, let thine handmaid be a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.

Ea s-a sculat, s-a aruncat cu faţa la pământ şi a zis: „Iată, roaba ta se socoteşte ca o roabă, gata să spele picioarele slujitorilor domnului meu.”

And she rose and bowed with her face to the ground and said, “Behold, your handmaid is a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.”

És Abigail sietve fölkelt, felült a szamárra öt szolgálójával együtt, akik körülötte voltak, elment Dávid követei után, és a felesége lett.

And Abigail hasted, and arose and rode upon an ass, with five damsels of hers that went after her; and she went after the messengers of David, and became his wife.
