Dávid Ahimelek paphoz ment Nóbba. Ahimelek pedig megrettenve ment Dávid elé, és azt kérdezte: Mi történt, hogy csak egyedül vagy, és senki sincs veled?

És Dávid elméne Nóbba Akhimélek paphoz. Akhimélek pedig megrettenve ment Dávid elé, és monda néki: Mi dolog, hogy csak egyedül vagy, és senki sincs veled?

Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?

David s-a dus la Nob, la preotul Ahimelec, care a alergat speriat înaintea lui şi i-a zis: „Pentru ce eşti singur şi nu este nimeni cu tine?”

Then David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech came to meet David, trembling, and said to him, “Why are you alone, and no one with you?”

Dávid ezt felelte: A király bízott rám valamit, és azt mondta nekem: Senki se tudja meg azt a dolgot, amiért elküldtelek, és amit parancsoltam neked. Ezért a szolgákat elküldtem erre és erre a helyre.

És monda Dávid Akhimélek papnak: A király bízott reám valamit, és monda nékem: Senki se tudja meg azt a dolgot, a miért elküldélek téged, és a mit parancsoltam néked; azért a szolgákat elküldém erre és erre a helyre.

And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place.

David a răspuns preotului Ahimelec: „Împăratul mi-a dat o poruncă şi mi-a zis: „Nimeni să nu ştie nimic de pricina pentru care te trimit şi de porunca pe care ţi-am dat-o.” Am hotărât un loc de întâlnire cu oamenii mei.

And David said to Ahimelech the priest, “The king has charged me with a matter and said to me, ‘Let no one know anything of the matter about which I send you, and with which I have charged you.’ I have made an appointment with the young men for such and such a place.

Most azért mi van kéznél nálad? Adj nekem öt kenyeret vagy valami mást, ami van.

Most azért, mi van kezednél? Adj öt kenyeret nékem, vagy [egyebet,] a mi van.

Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present.

Acum ce ai la îndemână? Dă-mi cinci pâini sau ce se va găsi.”

Now then, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever is here.”

A pap így felelt Dávidnak: Nincs kéznél közönséges kenyér, hanem csak szentelt kenyér, de csak akkor, ha a szolgák tisztán tartották magukat legalább az asszonyoktól.

És felele a pap Dávidnak, és monda: Nincs közönséges kenyér kezemnél, hanem csak szentelt kenyér van, ha ugyan a szolgák tisztán tartották magokat, legalább az asszonytól.

And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.

Preotul a răspuns lui David: „N-am pâine obişnuită la îndemână, ci numai pâine sfinţită, doar dacă oamenii tăi s-au ferit de împreunarea cu femei!”

And the priest answered David, “I have no common bread on hand, but there is holy bread—if the young men have kept themselves from women.”

Dávid pedig így felelt a papnak: Valóban el volt tiltva tőlünk az asszony tegnap is, és azelőtt is, amikor elindultam, és a szolgák holmija is tiszta volt. És noha ez csak közönséges út, de ma is tiszták maradtak.

Dávid pedig felele a papnak, és monda néki: Bizonyára el volt tiltva mi tőlünk az asszony mind tegnap, mind azelőtt, mikor elindulék, és a szolgák holmija is tiszta vala (jóllehet az út közönséges): azért bizonyára megtartatik ma szentnek az edényekben.

And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.

David a răspuns preotului: „Ne-am ferit de împreunarea cu femei de trei zile de când am plecat, şi toţi oamenii mei sunt curaţi; de altfel, dacă aceasta este o faptă necurată, va fi sfinţită negreşit azi de acela care o va face.”

And David answered the priest, “Truly women have been kept from us as always when I go on an expedition. The vessels of the young men are holy even when it is an ordinary journey. How much more today will their vessels be holy?”

Akkor a pap szentelt kenyeret adott neki, mert nem volt ott más kenyér, hanem csak szent kenyér, amelyet elvettek már az ÚR színe elől, és frissen sült kenyeret tettek a helyére, amikor azt elvették.

Adott azért a pap néki szentelt [kenyeret], mert nem volt ott [más] kenyér, hanem csak szent kenyér, melyeket elvettek az Úrnak színe elől, hogy meleg kenyeret tegyenek a helyett azon a napon, a melyen az [előbbit] elvevék.

So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

Atunci preotul i-a dat pâinea sfinţită, căci nu era acolo altă pâine decât pâinea pentru punerea înainte, care fusese luată dinaintea Domnului, ca să fie înlocuită cu pâine caldă, în clipa când luaseră pe cealaltă.

So the priest gave him the holy bread, for there was no bread there but the bread of the Presence, which is removed from before the LORD, to be replaced by hot bread on the day it is taken away.

Volt ott azon a napon Saul szolgái között egy Dóég nevű edómi ember, Saul pásztorainak a számadója, aki éppen ott tartózkodott az ÚR előtt.

Vala pedig ott azon a napon Saul szolgái közül egy ember, ott tartózkodva az Úr előtt, a kit Doégnak hívtak, a [ki] Edomita volt, Saul pásztorainak számadója.

Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.

Chiar în ziua aceea, se afla acolo închis înaintea Domnului un om dintre slujitorii lui Saul; era un edomit, numit Doeg, căpetenia păstorilor lui Saul.

Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD. His name was Doeg the Edomite, the chief of Saul’s herdsmen.

Azután Dávid megkérdezte Ahimelektől: Nincs a kezednél egy dárda vagy valami más fegyver? Mert sem a kardomat, sem a fegyverzetemet nem hoztam magammal, mivel a király dolga sürgős volt.

És monda Dávid Akhiméleknek: Nincsen-é kezednél egy dárda vagy valami fegyver? mert sem kardomat, sem fegyverzetemet nem hoztam magammal, mivel a király dolga sürgős vala.

And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste.

David a zis lui Ahimelec: „N-ai la îndemână o suliţă sau o sabie? Căci nu mi-am luat cu mine nici sabia, nici armele, pentru că porunca împăratului era grabnică.”

Then David said to Ahimelech, “Then have you not here a spear or a sword at hand? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.”

A pap azt felelte: A filiszteus Góliát kardja, akit az Élá-völgyben levágtál, íme, itt van posztóba takarva az éfód mögött. Ha azt el akarod vinni, vidd el, mert azonkívül más nincs itt. Dávid ezt mondta: Nincs ahhoz hasonló, add ide azt nekem!

És monda a pap: A Filiszteus Góliáthnak a kardja, a kit te megöltél az Elah völgyében, ímhol van posztóba betakarva az efód mögött; ha azt el akarod vinni, vidd el, mert azonkivül más nincsen itt. És monda Dávid: Nincs ahhoz hasonló, add ide azt nékem.

And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.

Preotul a răspuns: „Iată sabia lui Goliat, filisteanul, pe care l-ai omorât în Valea Terebinţilor; este învelită într-un covor, în dosul efodului; dacă vrei s-o iei, ia-o, căci nu este alta aici.” Şi David a zis: „Nu-i alta ca ea; dă-mi-o.”

And the priest said, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck down in the Valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it, for there is none but that here.” And David said, “There is none like that; give it to me.”

És fölkelt Dávid, és elfutott azon a napon Saul elől, és elment Ákishoz, Gát királyához.

És felkele Dávid, és elfutott azon a napon Saul elől, és elment Ákhishoz, Gáthnak királyához.

And David arose and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.

David s-a sculat şi a fugit chiar în ziua aceea de Saul. A ajuns la Achiş, împăratul Gatului.

And David rose and fled that day from Saul and went to Achish the king of Gath.

Ákisnak azt mondták a szolgái: Vajon nem ő-e Dávid, annak az országnak a királya? Vajon nem róla énekeltek-e így a körtáncban: „Megverte Saul a maga ezrét és Dávid is az ő tízezrét”?

És mondának Ákhis szolgái néki: Vajjon nem ez-é Dávid, annak az országnak királya? Vajjon nem erről énekelték-é a körtánczban, mondván: Saul megverte az ő ezerét, Dávid is az ő tízezerét?

And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

Slujitorii lui Achiş i-au zis: „Nu este acesta David, împăratul ţării? Nu este el acela pentru care se cânta jucând: „Saul şi-a bătut miile lui, iar David zecile lui de mii”?”

And the servants of Achish said to him, “Is not this David the king of the land? Did they not sing to one another of him in dances, ‘Saul has struck down his thousands, and David his ten thousands’?”

Dávid pedig szívére vette e beszédeket, és igen megijedt Ákistól, Gát királyától.

És mikor eszébe vevé Dávid ezeket a beszédeket, igen megrémüle Ákhistól, Gáthnak királyától.

And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath.

David a pus la inimă aceste cuvinte şi a avut o mare frică de Achiş, împăratul Gatului.

And David took these words to heart and was much afraid of Achish the king of Gath.

Eszelősnek tettette magát, őrjöngött közöttük, és irkált a kapuk ajtajaira, nyálát pedig engedte a szakállán lefolyni.

És megváltoztatá magaviseletét ő előttük, és őrjönge kezeik között, és irkál vala a kapuknak ajtain, nyálát pedig szakállán folyatja alá.

And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.

A făcut pe nebunul înaintea lor; făcea năzdrăvănii înaintea lor; făcea zgârieturi pe uşile porţilor şi lăsa să-i curgă balele pe barbă.

So he changed his behavior before them and pretended to be insane in their hands and made marks on the doors of the gate and let his spittle run down his beard.

Akkor Ákis azt mondta a szolgáinak: Íme, látjátok, hogy ez az ember megőrült, miért hoztátok hozzám?

És monda Ákhis az ő szolgáinak: Ímé látjátok, hogy ez az ember megőrült, miért hoztátok őt hozzám?

Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?

Achiş a zis slujitorilor săi: „Vedeţi bine că omul acesta şi-a pierdut minţile; pentru ce mi-l aduceţi?

Then Achish said to his servants, “Behold, you see the man is mad. Why then have you brought him to me?

Szűkölködöm-e őrültekben, hogy idehoztátok őt, hogy bolondozzék előttem? Egy ilyen kerüljön az én házamba?

Szűkölködöm-e őrültekben, hogy ide hoztátok ezt, hogy bolondoskodjék előttem? Ez jőjjön-e be házamba?

Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?

Oare duc lipsă de nebuni, de-mi aduceţi pe acesta şi mă faceţi martor la năzdrăvăniile lui? Să intre el în casa mea?”

Do I lack madmen, that you have brought this fellow to behave as a madman in my presence? Shall this fellow come into my house?”
