Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him.

Az pedig, amikor hallott Jézus felől, elküldte hozzá a zsidók véneit, és arra kérte, hogy jöjjön el, és gyógyítsa meg a szolgáját.

Az pedig, mikor hallott Jézus felől, hozzá küldé a zsidók véneit, kérvén őt, hogy jőjjön el és gyógyítsa meg az ő szolgáját.

And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant.

And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have you do this for him,

mert szereti népünket, és a zsinagógát is ő építtette nekünk.

For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.

căci iubeşte neamul nostru şi el ne-a zidit sinagoga.”

for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue.”

Jézus azért elment velük. Amikor pedig már nem volt messze a háztól, a százados eléje küldte barátait, és ezt üzente neki: Uram, ne fáraszd magad, mert nem vagyok méltó, hogy hajlékomba jöjj.

Jézus tehát elméne velök. Mikor azonban már nem messze volt a háztól, eléje küldé a százados néhány jó barátját, izenvén néki: Uram, ne fáraszd magad; mert nem vagyok méltó, hogy hajlékomba jőjj;

Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:

And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof.

Sőt magamat sem tartottam méltónak arra, hogy hozzád menjek, hanem csak szólj egy szót, és meggyógyul a szolgám.

A miért is magamat sem tartottam érdemesnek arra, hogy hozzád menjek: hanem [csak] szóval mondd, és meggyógyul az én szolgám.

Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.

De aceea nici nu m-am socotit vrednic să vin eu însumi la Tine. Ci zi o vorbă, şi robul meu va fi tămăduit.

Therefore I did not presume to come to you. But say the word, and let my servant be healed.

Mert én is hatalom alá rendelt ember vagyok, nekem is vannak alárendelt katonáim, és ha az egyiknek azt mondom: „Menj el!”, elmegy, vagy a másiknak: „Gyere ide!”, idejön; és ha szólok a szolgámnak: „Tedd meg ezt!”, megteszi.

For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

Jézus pedig ezeket hallva elcsodálkozott rajta, és hátrafordulva azt mondta az őt követő sokaságnak: Mondom nektek, ekkora hitet még Izráelben sem találtam!

Jézus pedig ezeket hallván, elcsudálkozék ő rajta; és hátrafordulván monda az őt követő sokaságnak: Mondom néktek, ilyen hitet Izráelben sem találtam!

When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”

And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

Când s-au întors acasă, trimişii au găsit sănătos pe robul care fusese bolnav.

And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.

Nem sokkal ezután egy Nain nevű városba ment tanítványaival, és nagy sokaság követte.

És lőn másnap, hogy méne Nain nevű városba; és az ő tanítványai sokan menének ő vele, és nagy sokaság.

And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.

Soon afterward he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him.

Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

Când S-a apropiat de poarta cetăţii, iată că duceau la groapă pe un mort, singurul fiu al maicii lui, care era văduvă; şi cu ea erau o mulţime de oameni din cetate.

As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her.

Amikor az Úr meglátta, megszánta, és azt mondta neki: Ne sírj!

És látván őt az Úr, megkönyörüle rajta, és monda néki: Ne sírj.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

Domnului, când a văzut-o, I S-a făcut milă de ea şi i-a zis: „Nu plânge!”

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”

Odament, megérintette a koporsót, az azt hordozók pedig megálltak. Ő pedig így szólt: Ifjú, neked mondom, kelj fel!

És oda menvén, illeté a koporsót; a vivők pedig megállának. És monda: Ifjú, néked mondom, kelj föl!

And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.

Apoi S-a apropiat şi S-a atins de raclă. Cei ce o duceau s-au oprit. El a zis: „Tinerelule, scoală-te, îţi spun!”

Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.”

Ekkor a halott felült, és beszélni kezdett. Jézus pedig átadta őt az anyjának.

És felüle a megholt, és kezde szólni; és adá őt anyjának.

And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

Mortul a şezut în capul oaselor şi a început să vorbească. Isus l-a dat înapoi maicii lui.

And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.

Félelem fogott el mindenkit, és dicsőítették Istent. Ezt mondták: Nagy próféta támadt közöttünk, és meglátogatta Isten az ő népét.

És elfogá mind azokat a félelem, és dicsőíték az Istent, mondván: Nagy próféta támadt mi köztünk; és: Az Isten megtekintette az ő népét.

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

Toţi au fost cuprinşi de frică, slăveau pe Dumnezeu şi ziceau: „Un mare proroc S-a ridicat între noi; şi Dumnezeu a cercetat pe poporul Său.”

Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and “God has visited his people!”

És elterjedt felőle ez a hír egész Júdeában és mindenütt a környéken.

És kiméne ő felőle e hír az egész Júdeába, és a körül való minden tartományba.

And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.

Vestea aceasta despre Isus s-a răspândit în toată Iudeea şi prin toate împrejurimile.

And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country.

Jánosnak mindezt hírül vitték a tanítványai. Ő pedig magához hívott kettőt a tanítványai közül,

És Jánosnak mind ezeket elmondák a tanítványai. És János az ő tanítványai közül kettőt előszólítván,

And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.

Ucenicii lui Ioan au dat de ştire învăţătorului lor despre toate aceste lucruri.

The disciples of John reported all these things to him. And John,

és elküldte őket az Úrhoz ezzel a kérdéssel: Te vagy-e az Eljövendő, vagy mást várjunk?

Elküldé Jézushoz, mondván: Te vagy-é az, a ki eljövendő [vala,] vagy mást várjunk?

And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

Ioan a chemat pe doi dintre ucenicii săi şi i-a trimis la Isus să-L întrebe: „Tu eşti Acela care are să vină sau să aşteptăm pe altul?”

calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to the Lord, saying, “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?”

Amikor azért azok a férfiak odaérkeztek, azt mondták: Keresztelő János küldött minket hozzád ezzel a kérdéssel: Te vagy-e az Eljövendő, vagy mást várjunk?

Mikor azért azok a férfiak hozzámentek, mondának: Keresztelő János küldött minket te hozzád, mondván: Te vagy-é az, a ki eljövendő [vala,] vagy mást várjunk?

When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

Aceştia, când s-au înfăţişat înaintea lui Isus, I-au zis: „Ioan Botezătorul ne-a trimis la Tine să Te întrebăm: „Tu eşti Acela care are să vină sau să aşteptăm pe altul?”

And when the men had come to him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?’”

Abban az órában pedig sokakat gyógyított meg betegségekből, különféle bajokból, gonosz lelkektől, és sok vaknak adta vissza szeme világát.

Azon órában pedig sokakat gyógyíta meg betegségekből, csapásokból, tisztátalan lelkektől, és sok vaknak adá meg szeme világát.

And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

Chiar în clipa aceea, Isus a vindecat pe mulţi de boli, de chinuri, de duhuri rele, şi multor orbi le-a dăruit vederea.

In that hour he healed many people of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and on many who were blind he bestowed sight.

És Jézus így válaszolt nekik: Menjetek, és adjátok hírül Jánosnak, amiket láttatok és hallottatok, hogy a vakok visszanyerik látásukat, a sánták járnak, a leprások megtisztulnak, a süketek hallanak, a halottak feltámadnak, a szegényeknek az evangélium hirdettetik.

És felelvén Jézus, monda nékik: Elmenvén mondjátok meg Jánosnak, a miket láttatok és hallottatok: hogy a vakok szemeik világát veszik, a sánták járnak, a poklosok megtisztulnak, a siketek hallanak, a halottak feltámadnak, a szegényeknek az evangyéliom prédikáltatik.

Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Şi, drept răspuns, le-a zis: „Duceţi-vă de spuneţi lui Ioan ce aţi văzut şi auzit: orbii văd, şchiopii umblă, leproşii sunt curăţaţi, surzii aud, morţii învie, şi săracilor li se propovăduieşte Evanghelia.

And he answered them, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.

Boldog, aki nem botránkozik meg bennem.

És boldog, valaki én bennem meg nem botránkozik.

And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Ferice de acela pentru care nu voi fi un prilej de poticnire.”

And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

Amikor elmentek János követei, Jánosról kezdett beszélni a sokaságnak: Mit látni mentetek ki a pusztába, szélingatta nádszálat?

Mikor pedig elmentek a János követei, kezdé mondani a sokaságnak János felől: Mit látni mentetek ki a pusztába? szélingatta nádszálat-é?

And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

După ce au plecat trimişii lui Ioan, Isus a început să spună noroadelor despre Ioan: „Ce aţi ieşit să vedeţi în pustiu? O trestie clătinată de vânt?

When John’s messengers had gone, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

Hát mit látni mentetek ki, finom ruhába öltözött embert? Hiszen akik drága öltözetben vannak, és bővölködnek, a királyok palotáiban találhatók.

Hát mit látni mentetek ki? puha ruhákba öltözött embert-é? Ímé a kik drága öltözetben és gyönyörűségben vannak, a királyok palotáiban vannak.

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

Atunci ce aţi ieşit să vedeţi? Un om îmbrăcat în haine moi? Iată că cei ce poartă haine moi şi cei ce trăiesc în desfătări sunt în casele împăraţilor.

What then did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are dressed in splendid clothing and live in luxury are in kings’ courts.

Hát mit látni mentetek ki? Prófétát? Bizonnyal, de mondom nektek, prófétánál is nagyobbat.

Hát mit látni mentetek ki? Prófétát-é? Bizony mondom néktek, prófétánál is nagyobbat.

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

Atunci ce aţi ieşit să vedeţi? Un proroc? Da, vă spun, şi mai mult decât un proroc.

What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.

Ő az, akiről meg van írva: Íme, elküldöm követemet előtted, aki elkészíti előtted az utat.

Ez az, a ki felől meg van írva: Ímé én elküldöm az én követemet a te orczád előtt, ki elkészíti előtted a te útadat.

This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

El este acela despre care este scris: „Iată, trimit pe solul Meu înaintea feţei Tale, care Îţi va pregăti calea înaintea Ta.”

This is he of whom it is written, “‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’

Mert mondom nektek, hogy az asszonytól születettek között egy sem nagyobb Keresztelő Jánosnál, de aki a legkisebb Isten országában, az is nagyobb nála.

Mert mondom néktek, hogy azok között, a kik asszonytól születtek, egy sincs nagyobb próféta Keresztelő Jánosnál; de a ki kisebb az Isten országában, nagyobb ő nála.

For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

Vă spun că dintre cei născuţi din femei, nu este niciunul mai mare decât Ioan Botezătorul. Totuşi, cel mai mic în Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu, este mai mare decât el.

I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

Amikor hallotta ezt az egész nép és a vámszedők, igazat adtak Istennek, és megkeresztelkedtek János keresztségével.

And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

(When all the people heard this, and the tax collectors too, they declared God just, having been baptized with the baptism of John,

But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

but the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the purpose of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.)

Kihez hasonlítsam azért e nemzedék embereit, és mihez hasonlók?

Monda pedig az Úr: Mihez hasonlítsam azért e nemzetségnek embereit? és mihez hasonlók?

And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

Cu cine voi asemăna, dar, pe oamenii din neamul acesta? Şi cu cine seamănă ei?

“To what then shall I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like?

Hasonlók a piacon ülő gyermekekhez, akik egymásnak kiáltoznak, és ezt mondják: Sípoltunk nektek, és nem táncoltatok, siratóénekeket énekeltünk nektek, és nem sírtatok.

They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.

For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’

But wisdom is justified of all her children.

And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.

One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table.

A városban volt egy bűnös életű asszony, aki amikor meghallotta, hogy ő a farizeus házánál van vendégségben, egy alabástromedényben drága kenetet hozott,

And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment,

And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.

Mikor pedig ezt látta a farizeus, a ki őt meghívta, monda magában: Ez, ha próféta volna, tudná ki és miféle asszony az, a ki őt illeti: hogy bűnös.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

Când a văzut lucrul acesta, fariseul care-L poftise şi-a zis: „Omul acesta, dacă ar fi un proroc, ar şti cine şi ce fel de femeie este cea care se atinge de El: că este o păcătoasă.”

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.”

Jézus pedig így felelt: Simon, van valami mondanivalóm neked. Ő így szólt: Mester, mondd!

És felelvén Jézus, monda néki: Simon, van valami mondani valóm néked. És az monda: Mester, mondjad.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

Isus a luat cuvântul şi i-a zis: „Simone, am să-ţi spun ceva.” „Spune, Învăţătorule”, I-a răspuns el.

And Jesus answering said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.”

There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.

„Un cămătar avea doi datornici: unul îi era dator cu cinci sute de lei, iar celălalt cu cincizeci.

“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

Mivel nem volt miből megadniuk, a hitelező mind a kettőnek elengedte. E kettő közül azért, mondd meg, melyik szereti őt jobban?

És mikor nem volt nékik miből megadni, mind a kettőnek elengedé. E kettő közül azért, mondd meg, melyik szereti őt jobban?

And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

Fiindcă n-aveau cu ce plăti, i-a iertat pe amândoi. Spune-Mi, dar, care din ei îl va iubi mai mult?”

When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?”

Simon pedig azt mondta: Úgy gondolom, hogy az, akinek többet engedett el. Jézus erre így válaszolt: Helyesen ítéltél.

Felelvén pedig Simon, monda: Azt gondolom, hogy az, a kinek többet engedett el. És [Jézus] monda néki: Igazán ítéltél.

Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

Simon I-a răspuns: „Socotesc că acela căruia i-a iertat mai mult.” Isus i-a zis: „Drept ai judecat.”

Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.”

Majd az asszony felé fordulva azt mondta Simonnak: Látod ezt az asszonyt? Bejöttem a házadba, és az én lábamnak vizet nem adtál, ő pedig könnyeivel öntözte lábamat, és hajával törölte meg.

És az asszonyhoz fordulván, monda Simonnak: Látod-é ez asszonyt? Bejövék a te házadba, az én lábaimnak vizet nem adál: ez pedig könnyeivel öntözé az én lábaimat, és fejének hajával törlé meg.

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Apoi S-a întors spre femeie şi a zis lui Simon: „Vezi tu pe femeia aceasta? Am intrat în casa ta, şi nu Mi-ai dat apă pentru spălat picioarele; dar ea Mi-a stropit picioarele cu lacrimile ei şi Mi le-a şters cu părul capului ei.

Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

Nem csókoltál meg engem, ő pedig amióta bejöttem, nem szűnt meg a lábamat csókolgatni.

Engem meg nem csókolál: ez pedig az időtől fogva, hogy bejöttem, nem szünt meg az én lábaimat csókolgatni.

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

Tu nu Mi-ai dat sărutare; dar ea, de când am intrat, n-a încetat să-Mi sărute picioarele.

You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.

Olajjal sem kented meg a fejemet, ő pedig drága kenettel kente meg a lábamat.

Olajjal az én fejemet meg nem kented: ez pedig [drága] kenettel kené meg az én lábaimat.

My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

Capul nu Mi l-ai uns cu untdelemn; dar ea Mi-a uns picioarele cu mir.

You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

Azért azt mondom neked: Neki sok bűne bocsáttatott meg, mert nagyon szeretett, akinek pedig kevés bocsáttatik meg, kevésbé szeret.

Minekokáért mondom néked: Néki sok bűne bocsáttatott meg; mert igen szeretett; a kinek pedig kevés bocsáttatik meg, kevésbé szeret.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

De aceea îţi spun: păcatele ei, care sunt multe, sunt iertate; căci a iubit mult. Dar cui i se iartă puţin iubeşte puţin.”

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”

Majd így szólt az asszonyhoz: Megbocsáttattak a te bűneid.

És monda annak: Megbocsáttattak néked a te bűneid.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

Apoi a zis femeii: „Iertate îţi sunt păcatele!”

And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

És akik együtt ültek vele az asztalnál, kezdték magukban mondani: Ki ez, hogy a bűnöket is megbocsátja?

És a kik együtt ülének vele az asztalnál, kezdék magukban mondani: Ki ez, hogy a bűnöket is megbocsátja?

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

Cei ce şedeau cu El la masă au început să zică între ei: „Cine este Acesta de iartă chiar şi păcatele?”

Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?”

Az asszonynak pedig azt mondta: A te hited megtartott téged. Menj el békességgel!

Monda pedig az asszonynak: A te hited megtartott téged. Eredj el békességgel!

And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

Dar Isus a zis femeii: „Credinţa ta te-a mântuit; du-te în pace.”

And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
