And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Ezt mondta: Volt egy bíró egy városban, aki az Istent nem félte, és az embereket sem sokra becsülte.

Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

El le-a zis: „Într-o cetate era un judecător care de Dumnezeu nu se temea, şi de oameni nu se ruşina.

He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man.

Élt abban a városban egy özvegyasszony is, aki gyakran elment hozzá, és arra kérte: Szolgáltass nekem igazságot ellenfelemmel szemben.

Volt pedig abban a városban egy özvegyasszony, és elméne ahhoz, mondván: Állj bosszút értem az én ellenségemen.

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

În cetatea aceea era şi o văduvă care venea des la el şi-i zicea: „Fă-mi dreptate în cearta cu pârâşul meu.”

And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’

A bíró egy ideig nem akarta, de azután így szólt magában: Én ugyan nem félem az Istent, és az embereket sem becsülöm,

Az pedig nem akará egy ideig; de azután monda ő magában: Jól lehet Istent nem félek és embert nem becsülök;

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Multă vreme n-a voit să-i facă dreptate. Dar, în urmă, şi-a zis: „Măcar că de Dumnezeu nu mă tem, şi de oameni nu mă ruşinez,

For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,

Mindazáltal mivelhogy nékem terhemre van ez az özvegyasszony, megszabadítom őt, hogy szüntelen reám járván, ne gyötörjön engem.

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

totuşi, pentru că văduva aceasta mă tot necăjeşte, îi voi face dreptate, ca să nu tot vină să-mi bată capul.”

yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’”

Majd így szólt az Úr: Halljátok, mit mond ez a hamis bíró?

Monda pedig az Úr: Halljátok, mit mond e hamis bíró!

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

Domnul a adăugat: „Auziţi ce zice judecătorul nedrept?

And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says.

Vajon Isten nem szolgáltat-e igazságot választottainak, akik éjjelnappal hozzá kiáltanak segítségért, vajon megváratja-e őket?

Hát az Isten nem áll-é bosszút az ő választottaiért, kik ő hozzá kiáltanak éjjel és nappal, ha hosszútűrő is irántuk?

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Şi Dumnezeu nu va face dreptate aleşilor Lui care strigă zi şi noapte către El, măcar că zăboveşte faţă de ei?

And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?

Mondom nektek, hogy igazságot szolgáltat nekik hamar. Mindazáltal amikor eljön az Emberfia, vajon talál-e hitet a földön?

Mondom néktek, hogy bosszút áll értök hamar. Mindazáltal az embernek Fia mikor eljő, avagy talál-é hitet e földön?

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Vă spun că le va face dreptate în curând. Dar când va veni Fiul omului, va găsi El credinţă pe pământ?”

I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt:

Két ember ment fel a templomba imádkozni, az egyik farizeus, a másik vámszedő.

Két ember méne fel a templomba imádkozni; az egyik farizeus, és a másik vámszedő.

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

„Doi oameni s-au suit la Templu să se roage; unul era fariseu, şi altul vameş.

“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

A farizeus megállt, és így imádkozott magában: Isten, hálát adok neked, hogy nem vagyok olyan, mint a többi ember, rabló, igazságtalan, parázna vagy olyan, mint ez a vámszedő is.

A farizeus megállván, ily módon imádkozék magában: Isten! hálákat adok néked, hogy nem vagyok olyan, mint egyéb emberek, ragadozók, hamisak, paráznák, vagy mint ím e vámszedő is.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

Fariseul stătea în picioare şi a început să se roage în sine astfel: „Dumnezeule, Îţi mulţumesc că nu sunt ca ceilalţi oameni, hrăpăreţi, nedrepţi, preacurvari sau chiar ca vameşul acesta.

The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.

Böjtölök kétszer egy héten, tizedet adok mindenből, amit szereztem.

Bőjtölök kétszer egy héten; dézsmát adok mindenből, a mit szerzek.

I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Eu postesc de două ori pe săptămână, dau zeciuială din toate veniturile mele.”

I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’

A vámszedő pedig távol állva még a szemét sem akarta az égre emelni, hanem mellét verve ezt mondta: Isten, légy irgalmas nekem, bűnösnek!

A vámszedő pedig távol állván, még szemeit sem akarja vala az égre emelni, hanem veri vala mellét, mondván: Isten, légy irgalmas nékem bűnösnek!

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Vameşul stătea departe şi nu îndrăznea nici ochii să şi-i ridice spre cer; ci se bătea în piept şi zicea: „Dumnezeule, ai milă de mine, păcătosul!”

But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’

Mondom nektek, ez megigazulva ment haza, nem úgy, mint amaz, mert aki felmagasztalja magát, megaláztatik, és aki megalázza magát, felmagasztaltatik.

Mondom néktek, ez megigazulva méne alá az ő házához, inkább hogynem amaz: mert valaki felmagasztalja magát, megaláztatik; és a ki megalázza magát, felmagasztaltatik.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Eu vă spun că mai degrabă omul acesta s-a coborât acasă socotit neprihănit decât celălalt. Căci oricine se înalţă va fi smerit; şi oricine se smereşte va fi înălţat.”

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Kisgyermekeket is vittek hozzá, hogy tegye rájuk a kezét. Amikor pedig látták ezt a tanítványok, megdorgálták őket.

Vivének pedig hozzá kis gyermekeket is, hogy illesse azokat; mikor pedig a tanítványok ezt látták, megdorgálák azokat.

And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

I-au adus şi nişte copilaşi, ca să Se atingă de ei. Dar ucenicii, când au văzut lucrul acesta, au certat pe aceia care-i aduceau.

Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

De Jézus magához hívta őket, és azt mondta: Engedjétek hozzám jönni a kisgyermekeket, és ne tiltsátok el őket, mert ilyeneké az Isten országa.

De Jézus magához híván őket, monda: Engedjétek, hogy a kis gyermekek én hozzám jőjjenek, és ne tiltsátok el őket; mert ilyeneké az Istennek országa.

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Isus a chemat la Sine pe copilaşi şi a zis: „Lăsaţi copilaşii să vină la Mine, şi nu-i opriţi; căci Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu este a unora ca ei.

But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.

Bizony mondom nektek: Aki nem úgy fogadja az Isten országát, mint egy kisgyermek, semmiképpen sem megy be abba.

Bizony mondom néktek: A ki nem úgy fogadja az Isten országát, mint gyermek, semmiképen nem megy be abba.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Adevărat vă spun că oricine nu va primi Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu ca un copilaş, cu niciun chip nu va intra în ea.”

Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

Akkor megkérdezte őt egy főember: Jó Mester, mit tegyek, hogy az örök életet elnyerjem?

És megkérdé őt egy főember, mondván: Jó Mester, mit cselekedjem, hogy az örökéletet elnyerhessem?

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Un fruntaş a întrebat pe Isus: „Bunule Învăţător, ce trebuie să fac ca să moştenesc viaţa veşnică?”

And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Jézus pedig azt mondta neki: Miért mondasz engem jónak? Senki sem jó, csak egyedül Isten.

Monda pedig néki Jézus: Miért mondasz engem jónak? Nincs senki jó, csak egy, az Isten.

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

„Pentru ce Mă numeşti bun?”, i-a răspuns Isus. „Nimeni nu este bun decât Unul singur: Dumnezeu.

And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

Ştii poruncile: „Să nu preacurveşti; să nu ucizi; să nu furi; să nu faci o mărturisire mincinoasă; să cinsteşti pe tatăl tău şi pe mama ta.”

You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother.’”

Az pedig azt mondta: Mindezeket ifjúságomtól fogva megtartottam.

Az pedig monda: Mindezeket ifjúságomtól fogva megtartottam.

And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

„Toate aceste lucruri”, I-a zis el, „le-am păzit din tinereţea mea.”

And he said, “All these I have kept from my youth.”

Jézus ezeket hallva azt mondta neki: Még egy fogyatkozás van benned: Add el mindenedet, amid van, és oszd szét a szegényeknek, és kincsed lesz a mennyben, azután jöjj, kövess engem!

Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Când a auzit Isus aceste vorbe, i-a zis: „Îţi mai lipseşte un lucru: vinde tot ce ai, împarte la săraci, şi vei avea o comoară în ceruri. Apoi, vino şi urmează-Mă.”

When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”

Az pedig ezeket hallva igen megszomorodott, mert nagyon gazdag volt.

Az pedig ezeket hallván, igen megszomorodék; mert igen gazdag vala.

And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

Când a auzit el aceste cuvinte, s-a întristat de tot; căci era foarte bogat.

But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich.

Amikor látta Jézus, hogy az igen megszomorodott, azt mondta: Milyen nehezen mennek be a vagyonosok az Isten országába!

És mikor látta Jézus, hogy az igen megszomorodék, monda: Mily nehezen mennek be az Isten országába, a kiknek gazdagságuk van!

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

Isus a văzut că s-a întristat de tot şi a zis: „Cât de anevoie vor intra în Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu cei ce au avuţii!

Jesus, seeing that he had become sad, said, “How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!

Könnyebb a tevének a tű fokán átmenni, mint a gazdagnak az Isten országába bejutni.

Mert könnyebb a tevének a tű fokán átmenni, hogynem a gazdagnak az Isten országába bejutni.

For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Fiindcă mai lesne este să treacă o cămilă prin urechea acului decât să intre un om bogat în Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu.”

For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

Akik ezt hallották, így szóltak: Ki üdvözülhet akkor?

A kik pedig ezt hallották, mondának: Ki idvezülhet tehát?

And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

Cei ce-L ascultau au zis: „Atunci cine poate fi mântuit?”

Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”

Ő azt válaszolta: Ami embereknél lehetetlen, lehetséges az Istennél.

Ő pedig monda: A mi embereknél lehetetlen, lehetséges az Istennél.

And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Isus a răspuns: „Ce este cu neputinţă la oameni este cu putinţă la Dumnezeu.”

But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

Péter ekkor azt mondta: Íme, mi mindent elhagytunk, és követtünk téged!

És monda Péter: Ímé mi mindent elhagytunk, és követtünk téged!

Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

Atunci Petru a zis: „Iată că noi am lăsat totul şi Te-am urmat.”

And Peter said, “See, we have left our homes and followed you.”

Ő pedig azt mondta nekik: Bizony mondom nektek, hogy senki nincs, aki elhagyta házát vagy szüleit vagy testvéreit vagy feleségét vagy gyermekeit az Isten országáért,

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,

és ne kapna sokszorta többet ebben az időben, a jövendő világon pedig örök életet.

A ki sokszorta többet ne kapna ebben az időben, a jövendő világon pedig örök életet.

Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

şi să nu primească mult mai mult în veacul acesta de acum, iar în veacul viitor, viaţa veşnică.”

who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

Majd maga mellé vette a tizenkettőt, és azt mondta nekik: Most felmegyünk Jeruzsálembe, és beteljesedik minden az Emberfián, amit a próféták megírtak.

És maga mellé vévén a tizenkettőt, monda nékik: Ímé felmegyünk Jeruzsálembe, és beteljesedik minden az embernek Fián, a mit a próféták megírtak.

Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

Isus a luat cu Sine pe cei doisprezece şi le-a zis: „Iată că ne suim la Ierusalim, şi tot ce a fost scris prin proroci despre Fiul omului se va împlini.

And taking the twelve, he said to them, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished.

Mert kiszolgáltatják a pogányoknak, kigúnyolják, meggyalázzák és leköpdösik,

Mert a pogányok kezébe adatik, és megcsúfoltatik, és meggyaláztatik, és megköpdöstetik;

For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:

Căci va fi dat în mâna Neamurilor; Îl vor batjocori, Îl vor ocărî, Îl vor scuipa;

For he will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and shamefully treated and spit upon.

majd megostorozzák és megölik, de harmadnap feltámad.

És megostorozván, megölik őt; és harmadnapon feltámad.

And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

şi, după ce-L vor bate cu nuiele, Îl vor omorî, dar a treia zi va învia.”

And after flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise.”

Ők azonban semmit sem értettek ezekből; ez a beszéd rejtve maradt előttük, nem fogták fel a hallottakat.

And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

But they understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not grasp what was said.

Történt pedig, hogy amikor Jerikóhoz közeledett, egy vak ült az út mellett, és koldult.

Lőn pedig, mikor Jerikhóhoz közeledett, egy vak ül vala az út mellett koldulván.

And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

Pe când Se apropia Isus de Ierihon, un orb şedea lângă drum şi cerşea.

As he drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging.

Amikor hallotta a mellette elmenő sokaságot, tudakozódott: Mi dolog az?

And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

Când a auzit norodul trecând, a întrebat ce este.

And hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what this meant.

Megmondták neki, hogy a názáreti Jézus megy arra.

And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

I-au spus: „Trece Isus din Nazaret.”

They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”

Erre felkiáltott: Jézus, Dávid fia, könyörülj rajtam!

És kiálta, mondván: Jézus, Dávidnak Fia, könyörülj rajtam!

And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Şi el a strigat: „Isuse, Fiul lui David, ai milă de mine!”

And he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Az elöl menők csitították, hogy hallgasson, de ő annál inkább kiáltozott: Dávid Fia, könyörülj rajtam!

A kik pedig elől mentek, dorgálák őt, hogy hallgasson; de ő annál inkább kiálta: Dávidnak Fia, könyörülj rajtam!

And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

Cei ce mergeau înainte îl certau să tacă; dar el ţipa şi mai tare: „Fiul lui David, ai milă de mine!”

And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Jézus pedig megállt, és megparancsolta, hogy vezessék hozzá. Amikor közel ért, megkérdezte tőle:

És Jézus megállván, parancsolá, hogy vigyék azt hozzá; és mikor közel ért, megkérdé őt,

And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

And Jesus stopped and commanded him to be brought to him. And when he came near, he asked him,

Mit akarsz, hogy tegyek veled? Az pedig így válaszolt: Uram, hogy lássak!

Mondván: Mit akarsz, hogy cselekedjem veled? Az pedig monda: Uram, hogy az én szemem világa megjőjjön.

Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

„Ce vrei să-ţi fac?” „Doamne”, a răspuns el, „să-mi capăt vederea.”

“What do you want me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, let me recover my sight.”

És Jézus azt mondta neki: Láss, a te hited megtartott téged!

És Jézus monda néki: Láss, a te hited téged megtartott.

And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

Şi Isus i-a zis: „Capătă-ţi vederea. Credinţa ta te-a mântuit.”

And Jesus said to him, “Recover your sight; your faith has made you well.”

És azonnal megjött a szeme világa, és követte őt, dicsőítve Istent. Az egész nép pedig ezt látva dicsőséget adott Istennek.

És azonnal megjöve annak szeme világa, és követé őt, dicsőítvén az Istent az egész sokaság pedig [ezt] látván, dicsőséget ada az Istennek.

And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

Numaidecât, orbul şi-a căpătat vederea şi a mers după Isus, slăvind pe Dumnezeu. Tot norodul, când a văzut cele întâmplate, a dat laudă lui Dumnezeu.

And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
