And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

One day, as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes with the elders came up

és megkérdezték tőle: Mondd meg nekünk, milyen felhatalmazással teszed ezeket, vagy ki az, aki téged erre felhatalmazott?

And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?

and said to him, “Tell us by what authority you do these things, or who it is that gave you this authority.”

Ő pedig így válaszolt: Én is kérdezek egy dolgot tőletek, mondjátok meg azért nekem:

And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:

Drept răspuns, El le-a zis: „Am să vă pun şi Eu o întrebare. Spuneţi-Mi:

He answered them, “I also will ask you a question. Now tell me,

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

was the baptism of John from heaven or from man?”

Azok pedig tanakodtak maguk között: Ha azt mondjuk, a mennyből, azt fogja mondani: „Miért nem hittetek neki?”

Azok pedig tanakodának magok közt, mondván: Ha [ezt] mondjuk: Mennyből; [azt] fogja mondani: Miért nem hittetek tehát néki?

And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?

Dar ei cugetau astfel între ei: „Dacă răspundem: „Din cer”, va zice: „Atunci de ce nu l-aţi crezut?”

And they discussed it with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’

But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

Şi dacă răspundem: „De la oameni”, tot norodul ne va ucide cu pietre; căci este încredinţat că Ioan era un proroc.”

But if we say, ‘From man,’ all the people will stone us to death, for they are convinced that John was a prophet.”

Ezért azt válaszolták, hogy ők nem tudják, honnan van.

And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

So they answered that they did not know where it came from.

And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

Majd ezt a példázatot kezdte mondani a népnek: Egy ember szőlőt ültetett, bérbe adta munkásoknak, és hosszú időre elutazott.

Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.

And he began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and let it out to tenants and went into another country for a long while.

És amikor eljött az ideje, elküldte szolgáját a munkásokhoz, hogy adjanak neki a szőlő terméséből. De a munkások ezt megverték, és üres kézzel küldték el.

És annak idején elküldé szolgáját a munkásokhoz, hogy adjanak néki a szőlő gyümölcséből; a munkások pedig azt megvervén, üresen bocsáták el.

And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

La vremea roadelor, a trimis la vieri un rob, ca să-i dea partea lui din rodul viei. Vierii l-au bătut şi l-au trimis înapoi cu mâinile goale.

When the time came, he sent a servant to the tenants, so that they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed.

Majd egy másik szolgát is küldött, de azt is megverték, meggyalázták, és üres kézzel visszaküldték.

And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

Még egy harmadikat is küldött, azt meg véresre verve kidobták.

And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.

A mai trimis un al treilea rob; ei l-au rănit şi pe acela şi l-au scos afară.

And he sent yet a third. This one also they wounded and cast out.

Azt mondta azért a szőlő ura: Mit tegyek? Elküldöm szeretett fiamat, ha őt látják, talán csak megbecsülik.

Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.

Stăpânul viei a zis: „Ce să fac? Am să trimit pe fiul meu preaiubit; poate că îl vor primi cu cinste.”

Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’

De amikor meglátták a munkások, így tanakodtak egymás között: Ez az örökös, öljük meg, hogy miénk legyen az örökség!

De mikor azt látták a munkások, tanakodának egymás közt, mondván: Ez az örökös; jertek, öljük meg őt, hogy a miénk legyen az örökség!

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

Dar vierii, când l-au văzut, s-au sfătuit între ei şi au zis: „Iată moştenitorul; veniţi să-l ucidem, ca moştenirea să fie a noastră.”

But when the tenants saw him, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Let us kill him, so that the inheritance may be ours.’

Kidobták azért a szőlőből, és megölték. Most azért mit tesz a szőlő ura?

És kivetvén őt a szőlőből, megölék. Mit cselekszik azért a szőlőnek ura azokkal?

So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?

Şi l-au scos afară din vie şi l-au omorât. Acum, ce le va face stăpânul viei?

And they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

Elmegy, elpusztítja azokat a munkásokat, és a szőlőt másoknak adja. Amikor ezt hallották, így szóltak: Meg ne történjen ez!

He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When they heard this, they said, “Surely not!”

Ő pedig rájuk tekintve azt mondta: Mit jelent akkor az, ami meg van írva: amely követ az építők megvetettek, az szegletkővé lett?

Ő pedig reájok tekintvén, monda: Mi az tehát, a mi meg van írva: A mely követ az építők megvetettek, az lett a szegelet fejévé?

And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

Dar Isus i-a privit drept în faţă şi a zis: „Ce înseamnă cuvintele acestea care au fost scrise: „Piatra pe care au lepădat-o zidarii a ajuns să fie pusă în capul unghiului”?

But he looked directly at them and said, “What then is this that is written: “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?

Aki erre a kőre esik, összetöri magát, és akire ez ráesik, az széjjelzúzódik.

Valaki erre a kőre esik, szétzúzatik; a kire pedig ez esik reá, szétmorzsolja azt.

Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Oricine va cădea peste piatra aceasta va fi zdrobit de ea: şi pe acela peste care va cădea ea, îl va spulbera”.

Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”

A főpapok és az írástudók azon voltak, hogy még abban az órában elfogják, mert megértették, hogy ellenük mondta ezt a példázatot, de féltek a néptől.

És igyekeznek vala a főpapok és az írástudók kezeiket ő reá vetni azon órában; de félének a néptől; mert megérték, hogy ő ellenök mondta e példázatot.

And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

Preoţii cei mai de seamă şi cărturarii căutau să pună mâna pe El chiar în ceasul acela, dar se temeau de norod. Pricepuseră că Isus spusese pilda aceasta împotriva lor.

The scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him at that very hour, for they perceived that he had told this parable against them, but they feared the people.

Azért, hogy szemmel tartsák, kémeket küldtek ki, akik igaznak tettették magukat, hogy őt megfogják beszédében, és átadják a hatóságnak és a helytartó hatalomnak.

Annakokáért vigyázván ő reá, leselkedőket küldének ki, a kik igazaknak tetteték magokat, hogy őt megfogják beszédében; hogy átadják a felsőbbségnek és a helytartó hatalmának.

And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

Au început să pândească pe Isus; şi au trimis nişte iscoditori care se prefăceau că sunt neprihăniţi ca să-L prindă cu vorba şi să-L dea pe mâna stăpânirii şi pe mâna puterii dregătorului.

So they watched him and sent spies, who pretended to be sincere, that they might catch him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction of the governor.

Ezek megkérdezték tőle: Mester, tudjuk, hogy te helyesen beszélsz és tanítasz, és nem vagy személyválogató, hanem az igazsághoz ragaszkodva tanítod az Isten útját:

Kik megkérdezék őt, mondván: Mester, tudjuk, hogy te helyesen beszélsz és tanítasz, és személyt nem válogatsz, hanem az Istennek útját igazán tanítod:

And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:

Iscoditorii aceştia L-au întrebat: „Învăţătorule, ştim că vorbeşti şi înveţi pe oameni drept şi că nu cauţi la faţa oamenilor, ci-i înveţi calea lui Dumnezeu în adevăr.

So they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and show no partiality, but truly teach the way of God.

szabad-e a császárnak adót fizetnünk, vagy nem?

Szabad-é nékünk adót fizetnünk a császárnak, vagy nem?

Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?

Se cuvine să plătim bir cezarului sau nu?”

Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?”

Ő azonban felismerte álnokságukat, és azt mondta:

Ő pedig észrevévén álnokságukat, monda nékik: Mit kísértetek engem?

But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

But he perceived their craftiness, and said to them,

Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.

“Show me a denarius. Whose likeness and inscription does it have?” They said, “Caesar’s.”

Mire azt mondta nekik: Adjátok meg azért a császárnak, ami a császáré, és az Istennek, ami az Istené.

Ő pedig monda nékik: Adjátok meg azért a mi a császáré, a császárnak, és a mi az Istené, az Istennek.

And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

Atunci El le-a zis: „Daţi, dar, cezarului ce este al cezarului, şi lui Dumnezeu ce este al lui Dumnezeu.”

He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

És nem tudták őt megfogni beszédében a nép előtt, hanem elcsodálkoztak feleletén, és elhallgattak.

És nem tudták őt megfogni beszédében a nép előtt; és csodálkozván az ő feleletén, elhallgatának.

And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

And they were not able in the presence of the people to catch him in what he said, but marveling at his answer they became silent.

Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,

There came to him some Sadducees, those who deny that there is a resurrection,

Mester, Mózes megírta nekünk, hogy ha valakinek meghal a testvére, akinek volt felesége, de gyermektelen volt, akkor annak testvére vegye el az asszonyt, és támasszon utódot testvérének.

Mondván: Mester, Mózes megírta nékünk, ha valakinek testvére meghal, kinek felesége volt, és magzatok nélkül hal meg, hogy annak testvére elvegye [annak] feleségét, és támasszon magot az ő testvérének.

Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

„Învăţătorule, iată ce ne-a scris Moise: „Dacă moare fratele cuiva, având nevastă, dar fără să aibă copii, fratele lui să ia pe nevasta lui şi să ridice urmaş fratelui său.”

and they asked him a question, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies, having a wife but no children, the man must take the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.

Volt azért hét testvér, az első megnősült, de gyermektelenül halt meg,

Hét testvér vala azért: és az első feleséget vévén, meghalt magzatok nélkül;

There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.

Au fost, dar, şapte fraţi. Cel dintâi s-a însurat, şi a murit fără copii.

Now there were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and died without children.

úgyhogy a másik,

A másik vevé el azért annak feleségét, és az [is] magzatok nélkül halt meg;

And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.

Pe nevasta lui, a luat-o al doilea; şi a murit şi el fără copii.

And the second

And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.

Végül meghalt az asszony is.

A feltámadáskor azért kinek a felesége lesz közülük, mert mind a hétnek a felesége volt?

Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.

Deci, la înviere, nevasta căruia dintre ei va fi femeia? Fiindcă toţi şapte au avut-o de nevastă.”

In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will the woman be? For the seven had her as wife.”

Jézus így válaszolt nekik: E világ fiai házasodnak, és férjhez mennek,

És felelvén, monda nékik Jézus: E világnak fiai házasodnak és férjhez adatnak:

And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

Isus le-a răspuns: „Fiii veacului acestuia se însoară şi se mărită;

And Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage,

de akik méltónak ítéltetnek arra, hogy eljussanak abba a világba és a halálból való feltámadásra, nem házasodnak, és férjhez sem mennek,

De a kik méltókká tétetnek, hogy ama világot elvegyék, és a halálból való feltámadást, sem nem házasodnak, sem férjhez nem adatnak:

But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

dar cei ce vor fi găsiţi vrednici să aibă parte de veacul viitor şi de învierea dintre cei morţi, nici nu se vor însura, nici nu se vor mărita.

but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage,

sőt meg sem halhatnak többé, mert hasonlók az angyalokhoz, és az Isten fiai, mivel a feltámadás fiai.

Mert meg sem halhatnak többé: mert hasonlók az angyalokhoz; és az Isten fiai, mivelhogy a feltámadásnak fiai.

Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Pentru că nici nu vor putea muri, căci vor fi ca îngerii. Şi vor fi fiii lui Dumnezeu, fiind fii ai învierii.

for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him.”

Néhány írástudó ekkor azt mondta: Mester, jól mondtad!

Felelvén pedig némelyek az írástudók közül, mondának: Mester, jól mondád!

Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.

Unii din cărturari au luat cuvântul şi au zis: „Învăţătorule, bine ai zis.”

Then some of the scribes answered, “Teacher, you have spoken well.”

És többé semmit sem mertek kérdezni tőle.

And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.

For they no longer dared to ask him any question.

Ő pedig azt mondta nekik: Hogyan mondják, hogy a Krisztus Dávid fia?

And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?

But he said to them, “How can they say that the Christ is David’s son?

Hiszen maga Dávid mondja a Zsoltárok könyvében: „Azt mondta az Úr az én Uramnak: ülj a jobb kezem felől,

And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

For David himself says in the Book of Psalms, “‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand,

Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Ha pedig Dávid Urának mondja, hogyan lehet akkor a fia?

David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

“Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces and the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at feasts,
