And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

Miután elmentek az angyalok tőlük a mennybe, a pásztorok így szóltak egymáshoz: Menjünk el Betlehembe, és lássuk meg e dolgot, amelyet az Úr kijelentett nekünk!

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

Amikor pedig a Mózes törvénye szerinti tisztulás napjai leteltek, felvitték őt Jeruzsálembe, hogy bemutassák az Úrnak,

And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

És íme, volt Jeruzsálemben egy Simeon nevű igaz és istenfélő ember, aki várta az Izráel vigasztalását, és a Szentlélek volt rajta.

És ímé vala Jeruzsálemben egy ember, a kinek neve Simeon volt, és ez az ember igaz és istenfélő vala, a ki várta az Izráel vigasztalását, és a Szent Lélek vala ő rajta.

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

Şi iată că în Ierusalim era un om numit Simeon. Omul acesta ducea o viaţă sfântă şi era cu frica lui Dumnezeu. El aştepta mângâierea lui Israel, şi Duhul Sfânt era peste el.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

A Lélek indításából éppen akkor ment a templomba, amikor a gyermek Jézust szülei bevitték, hogy a törvény előírásainak eleget tegyenek.

And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

Volt egy próféta asszony, Anna, Fánuel leánya, Áser nemzetségéből. Nagyon idős volt, hajadonkora után csak hét esztendeig élt férjével,

And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day.

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

És mindnyájan, a kik őt hallgatták, elálmélkodának az ő értelmén és az ő feleletein.

And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.

Amikor szülei meglátták, megdöbbentek, az anyja pedig azt kérdezte: Fiam, miért tetted ezt velünk? Íme, apád és én aggódva kerestünk téged.

És meglátván őt, elcsodálkozának, és monda néki az ő anyja: Fiam, miért cselekedted ezt velünk? Ímé atyád és én nagy bánattal kerestünk téged.

And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

Când L-au văzut părinţii Lui, au rămas înmărmuriţi; şi mama Lui I-a zis: „Fiule, pentru ce Te-ai purtat aşa cu noi? Iată că tatăl Tău şi eu Te-am căutat cu îngrijorare.”

And when his parents saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.”

Ő pedig azt mondta nekik: Miért kerestetek engem? Hát nem tudjátok, hogy nekem az én Atyám dolgaival kell foglalkoznom?

Ő pedig monda nékik: Mi dolog, hogy engem kerestetek? Avagy nem tudjátok-é, hogy nékem azokban kell foglalatosnak lennem, a melyek az én Atyámnak dolgai?

And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

El le-a zis: „De ce M-aţi căutat? Oare nu ştiaţi că trebuie să fiu în Casa Tatălui Meu?”

And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

De ők nem értették ezt a beszédet, amit nekik mondott.

De ők nem érték e beszédet, a mit ő nékik szóla.

And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

Dar ei n-au înţeles spusele Lui.

And they did not understand the saying that he spoke to them.

Aztán velük tartott, visszament Názáretbe, és engedelmeskedett nekik. Anyja pedig szívében tartotta mindezeket a beszédeket.

És aláméne velök, és méne Názáretbe; és engedelmes vala nékik. És az ő anyja szívében tartá mind ezeket a dolgokat.

And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

Apoi S-a coborât împreună cu ei, a venit la Nazaret şi le era supus. Mama Sa păstra toate cuvintele acestea în inima ei.

And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart.
