Hóséának, Élá fiának, Izráel királyának a harmadik esztendejében kezdett uralkodni Ezékiás, Áháznak, Júda királyának fia.

És Hóseásnak, az Ela fiának, az Izráel királyának harmadik esztendejében kezdett uralkodni Ezékiás, Akháznak, a Júda királyának fia.

Now it came to pass in the third year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah began to reign.

În al treilea an al lui Osea, fiul lui Ela, împăratul lui Israel, a început să domnească Ezechia, fiul lui Ahaz, împăratul lui Iuda.

In the third year of Hoshea son of Elah, king of Israel, Hezekiah the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign.

Huszonöt éves volt, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és huszonkilenc esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyja neve Abí volt, Zekarjá leánya.

Huszonöt esztendős volt, mikor uralkodni kezdett, és huszonkilencz esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben; anyjának neve Abi, a Zakariás leánya.

Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.

Avea douăzeci şi cinci de ani când a ajuns împărat şi a domnit douăzeci şi nouă de ani la Ierusalim. Mama sa se chema Abi, fata lui Zaharia.

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah.

Az ÚR szemében kedves dolgot cselekedett, ahogy atyja, Dávid cselekedett.

És kedves dolgot cselekedék az Úr szemei előtt, a mint az ő atyja, Dávid cselekedett volt.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.

El a făcut ce este plăcut înaintea Domnului, întocmai cum făcuse tatăl său David.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.

Ő rontotta le a magaslatokat, törte össze az oszlopokat, és vágta ki az Asérát, és törte darabokra az érckígyót is, amelyet Mózes csinált. Mert mindeddig Izráel fiai tömjéneztek annak, és Nehustánnak nevezték.

Ő rontotta le a magaslatokat, törte el az oszlopokat, és vágta ki az Aserát, és törte össze az érczkígyót is, a melyet Mózes csinált; mert mind az ideig az Izráel fiai jóillatot tettek annak, és nevezék azt Nékhustánnak.

He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan.

A îndepărtat înălţimile, a sfărâmat stâlpii idoleşti, a tăiat Astarteile şi a sfărâmat în bucăţi şarpele de aramă pe care-l făcuse Moise, căci copiii lui Israel arseseră până atunci tămâie înaintea lui: îl numeau Nehuştan.

He removed the high places and broke the pillars and cut down the Asherah. And he broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the people of Israel had made offerings to it (it was called Nehushtan).

Csak az ÚRban, Izráel Istenében bízott, és őutána nem volt hozzá hasonló Júda összes királya között, sem azok között, akik őelőtte voltak.

[Egyedül] az Úrban, Izráel Istenében bízott, és ő utána nem volt hozzá hasonló Júda minden királyai között sem azok között, a kik ő előtte [voltak.]

He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

El şi-a pus încrederea în Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel; şi dintre toţi împăraţii lui Iuda, care au venit după el sau care au fost înainte de el, n-a fost niciunul ca el.

He trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel, so that there was none like him among all the kings of Judah after him, nor among those who were before him.

Mert az ÚRhoz ragaszkodott, nem hajolt el tőle, és megőrizte parancsolatait, amelyeket az ÚR Mózesnek parancsolt.

For he clave to the LORD, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses.

El s-a alipit de Domnul, nu s-a abătut de la El şi a păzit poruncile pe care le dăduse lui Moise, Domnul.

For he held fast to the LORD. He did not depart from following him, but kept the commandments that the LORD commanded Moses.

Vele volt az ÚR mindenütt, és ahova csak ment, eredményes volt. Elszakadt Asszíria királyától, és nem szolgált neki.

És vele volt az Úr mindenütt és a hova csak ment, előmenetele volt. És elszakadt Assiria királyától, és nem szolgált néki.

And the LORD was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.

Şi Domnul a fost cu Ezechia, care a izbutit în tot ce a făcut. El s-a răsculat împotriva împăratului Asiriei şi nu i-a mai fost supus.

And the LORD was with him; wherever he went out, he prospered. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and would not serve him.

He smote the Philistines, even unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

A bătut pe filisteni până la Gaza şi le-a pustiit ţinutul, de la toate turnurile de pază până la cetăţile întărite.

He struck down the Philistines as far as Gaza and its territory, from watchtower to fortified city.

Ezékiás király negyedik évében, amely Hóséának, Élá fiának, Izráel királyának hetedik esztendeje, feljött Salmaneszer, Asszíria királya Samária ellen, és ostrom alá vette.

Ezékiás királynak negyedik esztendejében - a mely Hóseásnak, az Ela fiának, az Izráel királyának hetedik esztendeje - feljött Salmanassár, Assiria királya Samaria ellen, és megszállotta azt;

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.

In the fourth year of King Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah, king of Israel, Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria and besieged it,

Három esztendő múlva, Ezékiás hatodik esztendejében el is foglalta. Ez Hóséának, Izráel királyának kilencedik éve volt. Ekkor vették be Samáriát.

És elfoglalta három esztendő mulva, Ezékiás hatodik esztendejében - ez Hóseásnak, az Izráel királyának kilenczedik esztendeje - ekkor vették be Samariát.

And at the end of three years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is in the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

După trei ani a luat-o, în al şaselea an al lui Ezechia, care era al nouălea an al lui Osea, împăratul lui Israel: atunci a fost luată Samaria.

and at the end of three years he took it. In the sixth year of Hezekiah, which was the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.

Asszíria királya elhurcolta Izráelt Asszíriába, és letelepítette Halahban, Hábórnál, a Gózán-folyó mellé és a médek városaiban.

És elhurczolta Assiria királya az Izráelt Assiriába, és letelepíté Halába, Háborba, a Gózán folyó mellé, és a Médeusok városaiba;

And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:

Împăratul Asiriei a dus pe Israel rob în Asiria şi i-a aşezat la Halah şi Habor, lângă râul Gozan şi în cetăţile mezilor,

The king of Assyria carried the Israelites away to Assyria and put them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,

Azért, mert nem hallgattak az ÚRnak, az ő Istenüknek szavára, hanem megszegték szövetségét, mindazt, amit Mózes, az ÚR szolgája parancsolt: nem hallgattak azokra, és nem is teljesítették.

Azért, mert nem hallgattak az Úrnak, az ő Istenöknek szavára, hanem megszegték az ő szövetségét, mindazokat, a melyeket Mózes, az Úr szolgája parancsolt vala; sem nem hallgattak rájok, sem nem cselekedték azokat.

Because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.

pentru că n-ascultaseră de glasul Domnului Dumnezeului lor şi călcaseră legământul Lui; pentru că nici n-ascultaseră, nici nu împliniseră tot ce poruncise Moise, robul Domnului.

because they did not obey the voice of the LORD their God but transgressed his covenant, even all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded. They neither listened nor obeyed.

Ezékiás király tizennegyedik esztendejében felvonult Szanhérib, Asszíria királya Júdának minden bekerített városa ellen, és elfoglalta azokat.

Ezékiás királynak pedig tizennegyedik esztendejében feljött Sénakhérib, Assiria királya Júdának minden kerített városa ellen, és elfoglalta azokat.

Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.

În al paisprezecelea an al împăratului Ezechia, Sanherib, împăratul Asiriei, s-a suit împotriva tuturor cetăţilor întărite din Iuda şi a pus stăpânire pe ele.

In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.

Akkor ezt az üzenetet küldte Ezékiás, Júda királya Asszíria királyához Lákisba: Vétkeztem, vonulj vissza innen! Amit rám rósz, elviselem! Asszíria királya Ezékiásra, Júda királyára háromszáz talentum ezüstöt és harminc talentum aranyat vetett ki.

Akkor elküldött Ezékiás, Júda királya Assiria királyához Lákisba, ezt izenvén: Vétkeztem, térj el én rólam; a mit rám vetsz, elviselem! És Assiria királya Ezékiásra, Júda királyára háromszáz tálentom ezüstöt és harmincz tálentom aranyat vetett ki.

And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria to Lachish, saying, I have offended; return from me: that which thou puttest on me will I bear. And the king of Assyria appointed unto Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

Ezechia, împăratul lui Iuda, a trimis să spună împăratului Asiriei la Lachis: „Am greşit! Depărtează-te de mine. Ce vei pune asupra mea voi purta.” Şi împăratul Asiriei a cerut lui Ezechia, împăratul lui Iuda, trei sute de talanţi de argint şi treizeci de talanţi de aur.

And Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, “I have done wrong; withdraw from me. Whatever you impose on me I will bear.” And the king of Assyria required of Hezekiah king of Judah three hundred talents of silver and thirty talents of gold.

És Ezékiás odaadott minden ezüstöt, amely az ÚR házában és a királyi palota kincsei között található volt.

And Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house.

And Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found in the house of the LORD and in the treasuries of the king’s house.

Ugyanebben az időben szedette le az aranyat Ezékiás az ÚR templomának ajtajairól és az ajtófélfákról, amelyeket maga Ezékiás, Júda királya boríttatott be, és odaadta azokat Asszíria királyának.

Ugyanebben az időben fosztotta meg Ezékiás az Úr templomának ajtajait és az ajtók félfáit, a melyeket Ezékiás, Júda királya maga boríttatott be, és oda adta azokat Assiria királyának.

At that time did Hezekiah cut off the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD, and from the pillars which Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid, and gave it to the king of Assyria.

Atunci a luat Ezechia, împăratul lui Iuda, şi a dat împăratului Asiriei aurul cu care acoperise uşile şi uşorii Templului Domnului.

At that time Hezekiah stripped the gold from the doors of the temple of the LORD and from the doorposts that Hezekiah king of Judah had overlaid and gave it to the king of Assyria.

De Asszíria királya mégis odaküldte Tartánt, Rabszáriszt és Rabsakét Lákisból Ezékiás király ellen igen nagy haddal Jeruzsálembe. Fölvonultak, és megérkeztek Jeruzsálem alá. Miután feljöttek és odaértek, megálltak a Felső-tó zsilipjénél, amely a ruhafestő útja mellett van.

És Assiria királya [mégis] oda küldte Thartánt, Rabsárist és Rabsakét Lákisból Ezékiás királyhoz igen nagy haddal Jeruzsálembe, és felmenének és jutának Jeruzsálembe, és feljövén és oda érvén, megállának a felső halastó zsilipjénél, a mely a ruhafestő útja mellett van.

And the king of Assyria sent Tartan and Rabsaris and Rabshakeh from Lachish to king Hezekiah with a great host against Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. And when they were come up, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is in the highway of the fuller's field.

Împăratul Asiriei a trimis din Lachis la Ierusalim, la împăratul Ezechia, pe Tartan, Rab-Saris şi pe Rabşache cu o oştire puternică. S-au suit şi au ajuns la Ierusalim. Când s-au suit şi au ajuns, s-au oprit la canalul de apă al iazului de sus, pe drumul care duce în ogorul înălbitorului.

And the king of Assyria sent the Tartan, the Rab-saris, and the Rabshakeh with a great army from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem. And they went up and came to Jerusalem. When they arrived, they came and stood by the conduit of the upper pool, which is on the highway to the Washer’s Field.

Akkor kihívatták a királyt. És kiment hozzájuk Eljákim, Hilkijjáhú fia, aki a királyi palota gondnoka volt, Sebná, az íródeák és Jóáh, Ászáf fia, az emlékíró.

And when they had called to the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder.

Au chemat pe împărat; şi Eliachim, fiul lui Hilchia, mai marele peste casa împăratului, s-a dus la ei cu Şebna, logofătul, şi cu Ioah, fiul lui Asaf, arhivarul.

And when they called for the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebnah the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder.

Rabsaké azt mondta nekik: Mondjátok meg Ezékiásnak: Ezt üzeni a király, Asszíria nagy királya: „Miben bizakodtál?

És monda nékik Rabsaké: Mondjátok meg Ezékiásnak: Ezt mondja a király, Assiria nagy királya: Micsoda bizodalom ez, a melyben te bizakodtál?

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Rabşache le-a zis: „Spuneţi lui Ezechia: „Aşa vorbeşte marele împărat, împăratul Asiriei: „Ce este încrederea aceasta pe care te bizui?

And the Rabshakeh said to them, “Say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours?

Amit mondtál, csak üres beszéd, hogy tanács és erő elegendő a hadakozáshoz! Vajon kiben bíztál, hogy föllázadtál ellenem?

Azt mondád: csak szóbeszéd; tanács és erő [kell] a hadakozáshoz; vajjon kihez bíztál, hogy fellázadtál ellenem?

Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou trust, that thou rebellest against me?

Tu ai zis: „Pentru război trebuie chibzuinţă şi putere.” Dar acestea sunt doar vorbe în vânt. În cine, dar, ţi-ai pus încrederea de te-ai răsculat împotriva mea?

Do you think that mere words are strategy and power for war? In whom do you now trust, that you have rebelled against me?

Tán csak nem ebben a törött nádszálban, Egyiptomban bizakodsz? Aki erre támaszkodik, annak belemegy a kezébe, és átlyukasztja. Ilyen a fáraó, Egyiptom királya mindenkihez, aki benne bízik!

Ímé, ebben a törött nádszálban bizakodol, Égyiptomban, melyhez ha ki támaszkodik, bemegy az ő kezébe és általlikasztja? Ilyen a Faraó, Égyiptom királya mindenekhez, a kik ő hozzá bíznak!

Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.

Iată, ai pus-o în Egipt, ai luat în ajutor trestia aceea frântă, care înţeapă şi străpunge mâna oricui se sprijină pe ea: aşa este faraon, împăratul Egiptului, pentru toţi cei ce se încred în el.

Behold, you are trusting now in Egypt, that broken reed of a staff, which will pierce the hand of any man who leans on it. Such is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.

Vagy azt akarjátok nekem mondani: Mi az ÚRban, a mi Istenünkben bízunk? Hát nem ő-e az, akinek magaslatait és oltárait lerontotta Ezékiás? Mind Júdának, mind Jeruzsálemnek pedig megparancsolta: ez előtt az oltár előtt imádkozzatok itt, Jeruzsálemben!

Vagy azt akarjátok nékem mondani: Mi az Úrban, a mi Istenünkben bízunk; hát nem ez-é az, a kinek magaslatait és oltárait lerontotta Ezékiás, és mind Júdának, mind Jeruzsálemnek megparancsolta: Ez oltár előtt imádkozzatok Jeruzsálemben?

But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God: is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away, and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

Poate că îmi veţi spune: „În Domnul Dumnezeul nostru ne încredem.” Dar nu este El acela ale cărui înălţimi şi altare le-a îndepărtat Ezechia, zicând lui Iuda şi Ierusalimului: „Să vă închinaţi înaintea altarului acestuia la Ierusalim”?

But if you say to me, “We trust in the LORD our God,” is it not he whose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and to Jerusalem, “You shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem”?

Nosza, fogadj hát az én urammal, Asszíria királyával: Kétezer lovat adok neked, ha tudsz hozzájuk adni ugyanannyi lovast!

Nosza, fogadj hát az én urammal, Assiria királyával: Én néked kétezer lovat adok, ha tudsz reájok adni annyi lovast.

Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my lord the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.

Acum fă o învoială cu stăpânul meu, împăratul Asiriei: îţi voi da două mii de cai, să vedem dacă poţi din partea ta să dai atâţia călăreţi ca să încalece pe ei.

Come now, make a wager with my master the king of Assyria: I will give you two thousand horses, if you are able on your part to set riders on them.

Hogy verhetnél vissza az én uram legkisebb hadnagyai közül csak egyet is, és hogyan bízhatnál Egyiptom harci szekereiben és lovasaiban?!

Hogy verhetnél hát vissza az én uram legkisebb hadnagyai közül csak egyet is, és hogyan bízhatol Égyiptomhoz a szekerek és a lovagok miatt?

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Şi cum ai putea îndepărta o căpetenie din cei mai mici slujitori ai stăpânului meu? Îţi pui încrederea în Egipt pentru care şi călăreţi.

How then can you repulse a single captain among the least of my master’s servants, when you trust in Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Vajon az ÚR tudta nélkül jöttem-e föl e hely ellen, hogy azt elveszítsem? Az ÚR mondta nekem: Menj föl e föld ellen, és pusztítsd el!”

Vajjon az Úr [tudta] nélkül jöttem-é fel e hely ellen, hogy azt elveszessem? Az Úr mondotta nékem: Menj fel e föld ellen, és veszesd el azt!

Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

De altfel, oare fără voia Domnului m-am suit eu împotriva acestui loc, ca să-l nimicesc? Domnul mi-a zis: „Suie-te împotriva ţării acesteia şi nimiceşte-o.”

Moreover, is it without the LORD that I have come up against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, “Go up against this land and destroy it.”’”

Erre Eljákim, Hilkijjáhú fia, Sebná és Jóáh ezt mondta Rabsakénak: Beszélj, kérlek, a te szolgáiddal arám nyelven, hiszen megértjük. Ne beszélj velünk héberül e nép füle hallatára, amely a kőfalon van!

És monda Eliákim, a Hilkia fia, és Sebna és Joákh Rabsakénak: Beszélj, kérlek, a te szolgáiddal siriai nyelven, mert jól értjük; és ne beszélj velünk zsidóul e nép füle hallatára, a mely a kőfalon van.

Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews' language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

Eliachim, fiul lui Hilchia, Şebna şi Ioah au zis lui Rabşache: „Vorbeşte robilor tăi în limba aramaică, fiindcă o înţelegem; nu ne vorbi în limba iudaică, în auzul poporului de pe zid.”

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebnah, and Joah, said to the Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, for we understand it. Do not speak to us in the language of Judah within the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

Így felelt nekik Rabsaké: Vajon csak a te uradhoz és hozzád küldött engem az én uram, hogy elmondjam e dolgokat, és nem e férfiakhoz is, akik a kőfalon ülnek, hogy azután veletek együtt egyék meg a saját ganéjukat, és igyák meg a saját vizeletüket?

És felele nékik Rabsaké: Vajjon a te uradhoz, vagy te hozzád küldött-é engem az én uram, hogy elmondjam e dolgokat, avagy nem [inkább] e férfiakhoz-é, a kik a kőfalon ülnek, hogy azután veletek együtt egyék meg a saját ganéjokat, és igyák meg a saját vizeletöket?

But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

Rabşache le-a răspuns: „Oare stăpânului tău şi ţie m-a trimis stăpânul meu să spun aceste vorbe? Oare nu acestor oameni care stau pe zid să-şi mănânce balega şi să-şi bea udul cu voi?”

But the Rabshakeh said to them, “Has my master sent me to speak these words to your master and to you, and not to the men sitting on the wall, who are doomed with you to eat their own dung and to drink their own urine?”

Azzal odaállt Rabsaké, és zsidóul nagy hangosan így kezdett beszélni: Halljátok meg a királynak, Asszíria nagy királyának a beszédét!

És oda állott Rabsaké, és hangosan kezdett zsidóul beszélni, mondván: Halljátok meg a királynak, Assiria nagy királyának beszédit!

Then Rabshakeh stood and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spake, saying, Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria:

Then the Rabshakeh stood and called out in a loud voice in the language of Judah: “Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:

Aşa vorbeşte împăratul: „Să nu vă înşele Ezechia, căci nu va putea să vă izbăvească din mâna mea.

Thus says the king: ‘Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you out of my hand.

Ne biztasson benneteket Ezékiás az ÚRral, ezt mondván: Bizonyosan megszabadít minket az ÚR, és nem adatik e város az asszíriai király kezébe!

És ne biztasson titeket Ezékiás az Úrral, ezt mondván: Kétség nélkül megszabadít minket az Úr, és nem adatik e város az assiria király kezébe.

Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Să nu vă facă Ezechia să vă încredeţi în Domnul, zicând: „Domnul ne va izbăvi, şi cetatea aceasta nu va fi dată în mâinile împăratului Asiriei.”

Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD by saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

Ne hallgassatok Ezékiásra, mert így szól Asszíria királya: Kössetek békét velem, és jöjjetek ki hozzám, és ki-ki egyék a maga szőlőjéből és a maga fügefájáról, és igyék kútjának vizéből,

Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:

N-ascultaţi de Ezechia; căci aşa vorbeşte împăratul Asiriei: „Faceţi pace cu mine, supuneţi-vă mie, şi fiecare din voi va mânca din via lui şi din smochinul lui, fiecare va bea apă din fântâna lui,

Do not listen to Hezekiah, for thus says the king of Assyria: ‘Make your peace with me and come out to me. Then each one of you will eat of his own vine, and each one of his own fig tree, and each one of you will drink the water of his own cistern,

míg eljövök, és elviszlek titeket a ti földetekhez hasonló földre, gabona- és bortermő földre, kenyeret és szőlőt adó földre, olajfát és mézet adó földre, hogy életben maradjatok, és ne haljatok meg. Ne higgyetek Ezékiásnak, mert félrevezet benneteket, amikor azt mondja: Az ÚR megszabadít minket!

Míg eljövök és elviszlek titeket a ti földetekhez hasonló földre, gabonás és boros földre, kenyeres és szőlős földre, olajfás, és mézes földre, hogy élhessetek és meg ne haljatok. Ne higyjetek Ezékiásnak, mert félrevezet benneteket, mikor azt mondja: Az Úr megszabadít minket!

Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and hearken not unto Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.

până voi veni şi vă voi duce într-o ţară ca a voastră, într-o ţară cu grâu şi cu vin, o ţară cu pâine şi vii, o ţară cu măslini de untdelemn şi miere, şi veţi trăi şi nu veţi muri. N-ascultaţi, dar, de Ezechia, care vă amăgeşte zicând: „Domnul ne va izbăvi.”

until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey, that you may live, and not die. And do not listen to Hezekiah when he misleads you by saying, “The LORD will deliver us.”

Has any of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Hol vannak Hamát és Arpád istenei? Hol vannak Szefarvaim, Héna és Ivvá istenei? Megszabadították-e Samáriát az én kezemből?

Hol vannak Hámátnak és Arphádnak istenei? Hol Sefárvaimnak, Hénának és Hivvának istenei? És Samariát is megszabadították-é az én kezemből?

Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered Samaria out of mine hand?

Unde sunt dumnezeii Hamatului şi Arpadului? Unde sunt dumnezeii Sefarvaimului, Henei şi Ivei? Au izbăvit ei Samaria din mâna mea?

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

E földön ki az az összes isten közül, aki megszabadíthatta volna országát az én kezemből? És az ÚR vajon kiszabadíthatná-e kezemből Jeruzsálemet?

Kicsoda a földön való minden istenek közül, a ki megszabadíthatta volna az ő földjét az én kezemből, hogy az Úr is kiszabadíthatná Jeruzsálemet az én kezemből?

Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?

Care dintre toţi dumnezeii acestor ţări şi-au izbăvit ţara din mâna mea, pentru ca şi Domnul să izbăvească Ierusalimul din mâna mea?”

Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their lands out of my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”

De a hadinép hallgatott, nem felelt neki egy szót sem, mert a király azt parancsolta: Ne feleljetek neki!

De a nép csak hallgatott, és nem felelt néki csak egy igét sem; mert a király megparancsolta volt, mondván: Ne feleljetek néki.

But the people held their peace, and answered him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

Poporul a tăcut şi nu i-a răspuns o vorbă; căci împăratul dăduse porunca aceasta: „Să nu-i răspundeţi.”

But the people were silent and answered him not a word, for the king’s command was, “Do not answer him.”

Ezután Eljákim, Hilkijjáhú fia, a királyi palota gondnoka, Sebná, az íródeák és Jóáh, Aszáf fia, az emlékíró megszaggatott ruhákban Ezékiáshoz ment, és elmondták neki Rabsaké beszédét.

Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh.

Şi Eliachim, fiul lui Hilchia, căpetenia casei împăratului, Şebna, logofătul, şi Ioah, fiul lui Asaf, scriitorul, au venit la Ezechia cu hainele sfâşiate şi i-au spus cuvintele lui Rabşache.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder, came to Hezekiah with their clothes torn and told him the words of the Rabshakeh.
