Nyolcesztendős volt Jósiás, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és harmincegy évig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyja neve Jedídá volt, a bockati Adájá leánya.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.

Iosia avea opt ani când s-a făcut împărat, şi a domnit treizeci şi unu de ani la Ierusalim. Mama sa se chema Iedida, fata lui Adaia din Boţcat.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.

Az ÚR szemében kedves dolgot cselekedett, és mindenben atyjának, Dávidnak az útján járt, és nem tért el sem jobbra, sem balra.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

El a făcut ce este bine înaintea Domnului şi a umblat în toată calea tatălui său David; nu s-a abătut de la ea nici la dreapta, nici la stânga.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in all the way of David his father, and he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

Jósiás király tizennyolcadik esztendejében történt, hogy elküldte a király Sáfán kancellárt, aki Acaljáhú fia, Mesullám unokája volt, az ÚR házához ezzel az üzenettel:

And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying,

In the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, son of Meshullam, the secretary, to the house of the LORD, saying,

Menj föl Hilkijjához, a főpaphoz, hogy szedje össze az ÚR házában összegyűlt pénzt, amelyet az ajtóőrök gyűjtöttek a néptől.

Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:

“Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money that has been brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the threshold have collected from the people.

Adják oda azt az ÚR házánál levő munkások felügyelőinek a kezébe, hogy adják át a munkásoknak, akik az ÚR házán dolgoznak, hogy a templom rongálódásait kijavítsák:

And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house,

Să se dea argintul acesta în mâinile meşterilor însărcinaţi cu lucrarea în Casa Domnului. Şi să-l dea celor ce lucrează la dregerea stricăciunilor Casei Domnului,

And let it be given into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the LORD, and let them give it to the workmen who are at the house of the LORD, repairing the house

az ácsoknak, az építőknek és a kőműveseknek, hogy fákat és faragott köveket vásároljanak a ház kijavítására.

Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house.

anume: dulgherilor, zidarilor şi pietrarilor, pentru cumpărăturile de lemn şi de pietre cioplite, trebuitoare pentru dregerea stricăciunilor Casei.

(that is, to the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons), and let them use it for buying timber and quarried stone to repair the house.

De nem kell tőlük számadást kérni a pénzről, amelyet a kezükbe adnak, mert ők becsülettel végzik azt.

De számadást nem kell tőlök venni a pénzről, a mely kezökbe adatik, mert ők azt becsülettel végzik.

Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.

Dar să nu li se ceară socoteala de argintul dat în mâinile lor, căci ei lucrează cinstit.”

But no accounting shall be asked from them for the money that is delivered into their hand, for they deal honestly.”

Egyszer csak Hilkijjá főpap így szólt Sáfán kancellárhoz: Ezt a törvénykönyvet találtam az ÚR házában! És Hilkijjá odaadta a könyvet Sáfánnak, hogy olvassa el.

És monda Hilkia, a főpap, Sáfánnak, az íródeáknak: Megtaláltam a törvénykönyvet az Úr házában. És Hilkia oda adta a könyvet Sáfánnak, hogy olvassa el azt.

And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

Atunci marele preot Hilchia a zis lui Şafan, logofătul: „Am găsit cartea Legii în Casa Domnului.” Şi Hilchia a dat cartea lui Şafan, şi Şafan a citit-o.

And Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the LORD.” And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

Ezután Sáfán kancellár elment a királyhoz, és ezt az üzenetet vitte neki: Szolgáid összeszedték a házban található pénzt, és odaadták azt az ÚR házában dolgozók felügyelőinek a kezébe.

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.

Apoi logofătul Şafan s-a dus să dea socoteală împăratului şi a zis: „Slujitorii tăi au strâns argintul care se afla în Casă şi l-au dat în mâinile meşterilor însărcinaţi cu facerea lucrării în Casa Domnului.”

And Shaphan the secretary came to the king, and reported to the king, “Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the LORD.”

És még ezt mondta a királynak Sáfán kancellár: Egy könyvet adott nekem Hilkijjá pap. És felolvasta azt Sáfán a király előtt.

És megmondá Sáfán, az íródeák, a királynak, mondván: Egy könyvet adott nékem Hilkia pap. És felolvasá azt Sáfán a király előtt.

And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.

Şafan, logofătul, a mai spus împăratului: „Preotul Hilchia mi-a dat o carte.” Şi Şafan a citit-o înaintea împăratului.

Then Shaphan the secretary told the king, “Hilkiah the priest has given me a book.” And Shaphan read it before the king.

And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.

Când a auzit împăratul cuvintele din cartea Legii, şi-a sfâşiat hainele.

When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes.

Majd ezt parancsolta a király Hilkijjá papnak és Ahikámnak, Sáfán fiának és Akbórnak, Mikájá fiának és Sáfánnak, a kancellárnak és Aszájának, a király szolgájának:

És megparancsolta a király Hilkia papnak és Ahikámnak, a Sáfán fiának, és Akbórnak, a Mikája fiának, és Sáfánnak, az íródeáknak, és Asájának, a király szolgájának, mondván:

And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying,

Şi împăratul a dat porunca aceasta preotului Hilchia, lui Ahicam, fiul lui Şafan, lui Acbor, fiul lui Mica, lui Şafan, logofătul, şi lui Asaia, slujitorul împăratului:

And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Micaiah, and Shaphan the secretary, and Asaiah the king’s servant, saying,

Menjetek, kérdezzétek meg az URat értem, a népért és egész Júdáért e könyv szavai felől, amelyet megtaláltak. Mert nagy az ÚR haragja, amely fölgerjedt ellenünk, mivel atyáink nem engedelmeskedtek e könyv szavainak, hogy mindent úgy cselekedtek volna, amint számunkra meg van írva.

Menjetek el, kérdezzétek meg az Urat én érettem és a népért és az egész Júdáért, e könyvnek beszédei felől, a mely megtaláltatott; mert nagy az Úr haragja, mely felgerjedett ellenünk, mivel a mi atyáink nem engedelmeskedtek e könyv beszédeinek, hogy cselekedtek volna mindent úgy, a mint megíratott nékünk.

Go ye, enquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

„Duceţi-vă şi întrebaţi pe Domnul pentru mine, pentru popor şi pentru Iuda, cu privire la cuvintele cărţii acesteia care s-a găsit; căci mare este mânia Domnului care s-a aprins împotriva noastră, pentru că părinţii noştri n-au ascultat de cuvintele cărţii acesteia şi n-au împlinit tot ce ne este poruncit în ea.”

“Go, inquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.”

Hilkijjá pap, Ahikám, Akbór, Sáfán és Aszájá elment Hulda prófétanőhöz, Sallumnak, Tikvá fiának, Harhasznak, a ruhák őrzője unokájának a feleségéhez, aki Jeruzsálem másik részében lakott, és beszéltek vele.

És elméne Hilkia pap és Ahikám, Akbór, Sáfán és Asája Hulda próféta asszonyhoz, Sallumnak, a Tikva fiának - a ki Harhásnak, a ruhák őrizőjének fia volt - feleségéhez, a ki Jeruzsálem más részében lakott, és beszéltek vele.

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.

Preotul Hilchia, Ahicam, Acbor, Şafan şi Asaia, s-au dus la prorociţa Hulda, nevasta lui Şalum, fiul lui Ticva, fiul lui Harhas, păzitorul veşmintelor. Ea locuia la Ierusalim, în cealaltă mahala a cetăţii. După ce i-au vorbit,

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the Second Quarter), and they talked with her.

Ő ezt mondta nekik: Így szól az ÚR, Izráel Istene: „Mondjátok meg a férfiúnak, aki titeket hozzám küldött:

És monda nékik: Azt mondja az Úr, Izráel Istene: Mondjátok meg a férfiúnak, a ki titeket hozzám küldött;

And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,

ea le-a zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Spuneţi omului care v-a trimis la mine:

And she said to them, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: ‘Tell the man who sent you to me,

Ezt mondja az ÚR: Íme, én veszedelmet hozok erre a helyre és az e helyen lakozókra a könyv minden szava szerint, amelyet Júda királya olvasott.

Ezt mondja az Úr: Ímé én veszedelmet hozok e helyre és e helyen lakozókra, a könyv minden beszédei szerint, a melyet olvasott a Júda királya;

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:

„Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Iată, voi trimite nenorociri asupra locului acestuia şi asupra locuitorilor lui, după toate cuvintele cărţii pe care a citit-o împăratul lui Iuda.

Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read.

Mert elhagytak engem, és más isteneknek tömjéneztek, hogy engem haragra indítsanak kezük mindenféle csinálmányával. Ezért fellángol az én haragom e hely ellen, és nem alszik ki.”

Mert elhagytak engem, és idegen isteneknek áldoztak jóillattal, hogy engem haragra indítsanak az ő kezöknek minden csinálmányával: azért felgerjed az én haragom e hely ellen, és meg sem oltatik.

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.

Pentru că M-au părăsit şi au adus tămâie altor dumnezei, mâniindu-Mă prin toate lucrările mâinilor lor, mânia Mea s-a aprins împotriva locului acestuia şi nu se va stinge.”

Because they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.

Júda királyának pedig, aki elküldött titeket, hogy megkérdezzétek az URat, ezt mondjátok: Azt mondja az ÚR, Izráel Istene: „Mivel e beszédekre, amelyeket hallottál,

A Júda királyának pedig, a ki elküldött titeket, hogy megkérdezzétek az Urat, ezt mondjátok: Azt mondja az Úr, Izráel Istene: Mivelhogy e beszédekre, a melyeket hallottál,

But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;

Dar să spuneţi împăratului lui Iuda care v-a trimis să întrebaţi pe Domnul: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel despre cuvintele pe care le-ai auzit:

But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Regarding the words that you have heard,

meglágyult a szíved, és megaláztad magadat az ÚR előtt, hallva azokat, amiket e hely és az ezen a helyen lakók ellen szóltam, hogy pusztulássá és átokká lesznek, és megszaggattad ruhádat, és sírtál előttem, azért én is meghallgattalak – ezt mondja az ÚR. –

Meglágyult a te szíved, és magadat megaláztad az Úr előtt, hallván azokat, a miket e hely és az ezen helyen lakók ellen szólottam, hogy pusztulássá és átokká lesznek, és megszaggattad a te ruháidat, és sírtál előttem; azért én is meghallgattalak, azt mondja az Úr.

Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.

„Pentru că ţi s-a mişcat inima, pentru că te-ai smerit înaintea Domnului când ai auzit ce am spus împotriva acestui loc şi împotriva locuitorilor lui, care vor ajunge de spaimă şi de blestem, şi pentru că ţi-ai sfâşiat hainele şi ai plâns înaintea Mea, şi Eu am auzit – zice Domnul. –

because your heart was penitent, and you humbled yourself before the LORD, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the LORD.

Ezért, íme, atyáidhoz gyűjtelek, és békességgel visznek sírodba, és nem látja meg szemed azt a nagy veszedelmet, amelyet én e helyre hozok.” És megvitték a választ a királynak.

Azért ímé én téged a te atyáidhoz gyűjtelek, és a te sírodba békességgel visznek téged, és meg nem látják a te szemeid azt a nagy veszedelmet, a melyet én e helyre hozok. És megvitték a királynak a választ.

Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again.

De aceea, iată, te voi adăuga la părinţii tăi, vei fi adăugat în pace în mormântul tău şi nu-ţi vor vedea ochii toate nenorocirile pe care le voi aduce asupra locului acestuia.” Ei au adus împăratului răspunsul acesta.

Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place.’” And they brought back word to the king.
