A prófétafiak feleségei közül egy asszony így kiáltott Elizeusnak: Szolgád, az én férjem meghalt. Te tudod, hogy szolgád félte az URat. Most pedig eljött a hitelező, hogy elvigye mind a két gyermekemet, hogy szolgái legyenek.

És kiálta egy asszony a próféták fiainak feleségei közül Elizeushoz, és monda: A te szolgád, az én férjem meghalt; te tudod, hogy a te szolgád félte az Urat. Eljött pedig a hitelező, hogy elvigye mind a két gyermekemet, hogy néki szolgái legyenek.

Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

O femeie dintre nevestele fiilor prorocilor a strigat lui Elisei: „Robul tău, bărbatul meu, a murit, şi ştii că robul tău se temea de Domnul; şi cel ce l-a împrumutat a venit să ia cei doi copii ai mei şi să-i facă robi.”

Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD, but the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”

Elizeus megkérdezte: Mit tehetek érted? Mondd meg nekem, mi van a házadban! Ő így szólt: Nincsen egyéb szolgálóleányod házában, csak egy korsó olaj.

And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

Elisei i-a zis: „Ce pot să fac pentru tine? Spune-mi ce ai acasă?” Ea a răspuns: „Roaba ta n-are acasă decât un vas cu untdelemn.”

And Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me; what have you in the house?” And she said, “Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.”

Elizeus azt mondta: Menj el, kérj minden szomszédodtól üres edényeket, de ne keveset.

Akkor monda: Menj el, kérj ott kinn minden te szomszédidtól üres edényeket, de ne keveset;

Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

Şi el a zis: „Du-te de cere vase de afară de la toţi vecinii tăi, vase goale, şi nu cere puţine.

Then he said, “Go outside, borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels and not too few.

Menj be, és zárkózzál be a fiaiddal, és tölts az olajból mindegyik edénybe, és a tele edényt állítsd félre.

És menj be és zárkózzál be magad a te fiaiddal, és tölts [az olajból] mindenik edénybe, és a tele edényt állítsd félre.

And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

Then go in and shut the door behind yourself and your sons and pour into all these vessels. And when one is full, set it aside.”

Az asszony elment, bezárkózott fiaival, és azok hordták neki az edényeket, ő maga pedig csak töltögetett.

És elment ő tőle, és bezárkózott az ő fiaival, azok hordták néki [az edényeket], ő maga pedig csak töltögetett.

So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

Atunci ea a plecat de la el. A închis uşa după ea şi după copiii ei; ei îi apropiau vasele, şi ea turna din untdelemn în ele.

So she went from him and shut the door behind herself and her sons. And as she poured they brought the vessels to her.

Amikor megtöltötte az edényeket, mondta a fiának: Hozz ide még egy edényt! Ő így felelt: Nincs több edény. Ekkor megállt az olaj.

And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

When the vessels were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

Az asszony elment, és elbeszélte ezt Isten emberének. Ő pedig azt mondta: Menj el, add el az olajat, és fizesd ki a hiteleződet. Te pedig és a fiaid éljetek a maradékából.

És elment, és elmondá ezt az Isten emberének. Az pedig monda: Menj el, add el az olajat, és fizesd ki hiteleződet; te pedig és a te fiaid éljetek a maradékából.

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

Ea s-a dus de a spus omului lui Dumnezeu lucrul acesta. Şi el a zis: „Du-te de vinde untdelemnul şi plăteşte-ţi datoria; iar cu ce va rămâne, vei trăi tu şi fiii tăi.”

She came and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on the rest.”

Ebben az időben történt, hogy Elizeus Súnémba ment. Volt ott egy jómódú asszony, aki marasztalta, hogy nála egyék. Ezért amikor csak arra járt, betért oda, hogy egyék.

And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

One day Elisha went on to Shunem, where a wealthy woman lived, who urged him to eat some food. So whenever he passed that way, he would turn in there to eat food.

És monda [az asszony] a férjének: Ímé úgy veszem észre, hogy az az Isten embere, a ki szüntelen erre jár által, szent ember;

And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.

Ea a zis bărbatului ei: „Iată, ştiu că omul acesta care trece întotdeauna pe la noi este un om sfânt al lui Dumnezeu.

And she said to her husband, “Behold now, I know that this is a holy man of God who is continually passing our way.

Kérlek, csináljunk egy kicsiny felső szobát, és tegyünk abba neki egy ágyat, asztalt, széket és mécsest, hogy amikor hozzánk jön, betérhessen oda.

Csináljunk, kérlek, egy kicsiny felházat, és tegyünk abba néki egy ágyat, asztalt, széket és gyertyatartót, hogy mikor hozzánk jön, hadd térjen oda.

Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.

Să facem o mică odaie sus, cu ziduri, şi să punem în ea un pat pentru el, o masă, un scaun şi un sfeşnic, ca să stea acolo când va veni la noi.”

Let us make a small room on the roof with walls and put there for him a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp, so that whenever he comes to us, he can go in there.”

Egy napon az történt, hogy odament Elizeus, megszállt a felső szobában, és megpihent ott.

És történt egy napon, hogy oda ment [Elizeus,] és megszállott a felházban, és megpihent ott.

And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.

Elisei, întorcându-se la Sunem, s-a dus în odaia de sus şi s-a culcat acolo.

One day he came there, and he turned into the chamber and rested there.

And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.

And he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite.” When he had called her, she stood before him.

Elizeus így szólt a szolgájának: Mondd meg neki: Íme, nagyon szorgosan gondoskodsz rólunk, mit kívánsz, hogy cselekedjem veled? Nincs-e valami mondanivalód a király előtt vagy a hadsereg fővezére előtt? De ő így felelt: Békességben lakom népem körében.

Megmondotta volt pedig néki: Mondd meg néki: Ímé nagy szorgalmatossággal szolgálsz nékünk, [mit kivánsz], hogy cselekedjem veled? Nincs-é valami mondani valód a király előtt, vagy a sereg fővezére előtt? És monda az: Én az én nemzetségem között [békességgel] lakom.

And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.

Şi Elisei a zis lui Ghehazi: „Spune-i: „Iată, pentru noi tu ţi-ai făcut toată tulburarea aceasta, noi ce putem face pentru tine? Trebuie să vorbim pentru tine împăratului sau căpeteniei oştirii?” Ea a răspuns: „Eu locuiesc liniştită în mijlocul poporului meu.”

And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? Would you have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.”

Elizeus azt mondta: Mégis, mit lehetne tenni érte? Géhazi így válaszolt: Nincs fia, és a férje idős.

Monda [Elizeus:] Mit lehetne tehát érette tennünk? Felele Géházi: Nincs fia és a férje vén ember.

And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.

Şi el a zis: „Ce să fac pentru ea?” Ghehazi a răspuns: „Ea n-are fiu, şi bărbatul ei este bătrân.”

And he said, “What then is to be done for her?” Gehazi answered, “Well, she has no son, and her husband is old.”

Erre azt mondta: Hívd ide! És amikor odahívta, megállt az ajtóban.

És monda: Hívd ide! És a mikor oda hívta, megállott az ajtóban.

And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.

Şi el a zis: „Cheam-o!” Ghehazi a chemat-o, şi ea a venit la uşă.

He said, “Call her.” And when he had called her, she stood in the doorway.

Akkor azt mondta Elizeus: Egy év múlva ilyenkor fiút fogsz ölelni. Ő ezt mondta: Ugyan, édes uram, Isten embere, ne mondj képtelen dolgot a te szolgálóleányodnak!

És monda [Elizeus:] Esztendő ilyenkorra fiút fogsz ölelni. És monda az: Ne, édes uram, Isten embere, ne mondj képtelen dolgot a te szolgálóleányodnak!

And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.

Elisei i-a zis: „La anul, pe vremea aceasta, vei ţine în braţe un fiu.” Şi ea a zis: „Nu! domnul meu, omule al lui Dumnezeu, nu amăgi pe roaba ta!”

And he said, “At this season, about this time next year, you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord, O man of God; do not lie to your servant.”

És fogant az az asszony, és fiút szült abban az időben, amelyet Elizeus mondott.

És teherbe esék az asszony és fiat szült abban az időben, a melyet megmondott volt Elizeus.

And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

Femeia a rămas însărcinată şi a născut un fiu chiar pe vremea aceea, în anul următor, cum îi spusese Elisei.

But the woman conceived, and she bore a son about that time the following spring, as Elisha had said to her.

De mikor megnőtt a gyermek, az történt, hogy egy napon kiment apjához, az aratókhoz,

And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.

When the child had grown, he went out one day to his father among the reapers.

és egyszer csak ezt mondta az apjának: Jaj, a fejem, jaj, a fejem! Erre azt mondta az apja a szolgának: Vidd el őt az anyjához!

És monda az ő atyjának: Jaj fejem, jaj fejem! És monda [az ő atyja] a szolgának: Vidd el őt az anyjához.

And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.

a zis tatălui său: „Capul meu! Capul meu!” Tatăl a zis slujitorului său: „Du-l la mama sa!”

And he said to his father, “Oh, my head, my head!” The father said to his servant, “Carry him to his mother.”

Az föl is vette, elvitte az anyjához, és ő az ölében tartotta délig, akkor meghalt.

And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

And when he had lifted him and brought him to his mother, the child sat on her lap till noon, and then he died.

Fölment az asszony, és Isten emberének az ágyára tette őt, bezárta az ajtót, és kijött onnan.

És felméne az [asszony], és az Isten emberének ágyára tevé őt, és az [ajtót] bezárván kijöve [onnét.]

And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out.

Ea s-a suit, l-a culcat pe patul omului lui Dumnezeu, a închis uşa după ea şi a ieşit.

And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God and shut the door behind him and went out.

Majd hívatta a férjét, és azt mondta: Kérlek, küldj ide nekem egy szolgát és egy szamarat, hadd menjek el gyorsan az Isten emberéhez, mindjárt hazajövök.

És előhívatá az ő férjét és monda: Kérlek, küldj ide nékem egyet a szolgák közül és egy szamarat, hadd menjek el hamar az Isten emberéhez, és mindjárt megjövök.

And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.

A chemat pe bărbatul ei şi a zis: „Trimite-mi, te rog, un slujitor şi o măgăriţă; vreau să mă duc în grabă la omul lui Dumnezeu, şi apoi mă voi întoarce.”

Then she called to her husband and said, “Send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may quickly go to the man of God and come back again.”

Ő megkérdezte: Miért mész hozzá? Ma nincs sem újhold, sem szombat. Így felelt: Csak bízd rám!

És az monda: Miért mégy ő hozzá, ma nincs sem újhold, sem szombat? Felele az: Csak hagyd rám!

And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.

Şi el a zis: „Pentru ce vrei să te duci astăzi la el? Doar nu este nici lună nouă, nici Sabat.” Ea a răspuns: „Fii pe pace!”

And he said, “Why will you go to him today? It is neither new moon nor Sabbath.” She said, “All is well.”

Majd megnyergelte a szamarat, és azt mondta a szolgának: Hajtsd és siess, ne lassíts a haladásban, csak ha szólok neked.

És megnyergelé a szamarat, és monda a szolgának: Hajtsd és siess, ne késlelj engem a menésben, hanem ha mondándom néked.

Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee.

Apoi a pus şaua pe măgăriţă şi a zis slujitorului său: „Mână şi pleacă, să nu opreşti pe drum decât când ţi-oi spune.”

Then she saddled the donkey, and she said to her servant, “Urge the animal on; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.”

Elment tehát, és eljutott Isten emberéhez a Karmel-hegyre. Amikor távolról meglátta őt Isten embere, azt mondta Géhazinak, a szolgájának: Íme, a súnémi asszony jön!

És elmenvén, juta az Isten emberéhez a Kármel hegyére. És mikor meglátá őt az Isten embere távolról, monda Géházinak, az ő szolgájának: Ímé a Súnemita ez!

So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:

So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her coming, he said to Gehazi his servant, “Look, there is the Shunammite.

Kérlek, fuss eléje, és kérdezd meg tőle, hogy békességben van-e ő is, férje is, és a gyermeke is! Az asszony így felelt: Békességben!

Fuss, kérlek, eleibe, és kérdezd meg tőle, ha békességben van-é mind ő, mind az ő férje, mind az ő gyermeke? Monda az: Békességben!

Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well:

Acum, aleargă, dar, înaintea ei şi spune-i: „Eşti bine? Bărbatul tău şi copilul sunt bine?” Ea a răspuns: „Bine.”

Run at once to meet her and say to her, ‘Is all well with you? Is all well with your husband? Is all well with the child?’” And she answered, “All is well.”

Mikor pedig az Isten emberéhez jutott a hegyre, átkarolta a lábát. Géhazi odalépett, hogy félretolja őt, de Isten embere így szólt: Hagyj békét neki, mert megkeseredett a szíve, de az ÚR eltitkolta tőlem, és nem jelentette ki nekem.

Mikor pedig az Isten emberéhez jutott a hegyre, átölelte az ő lábait; de Géházi oda ment, hogy elűzze őt, az Isten embere azonban így szólt: Hagyj békét néki, mert megkeseredett az ő szíve, és az Úr eltitkolta tőlem, és nem jelentette meg nékem.

And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.

Şi cum a ajuns la omul lui Dumnezeu pe munte, i-a îmbrăţişat picioarele. Ghehazi s-a apropiat s-o dea înapoi. Dar omul lui Dumnezeu a zis: „Las-o, căci este tare amărâtă, şi Domnul mi-a ascuns lucrul acesta şi nu mi l-a făcut cunoscut.”

And when she came to the mountain to the man of God, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came to push her away. But the man of God said, “Leave her alone, for she is in bitter distress, and the LORD has hidden it from me and has not told me.”

Az asszony azt mondta: Vajon én kértem-e fiút az én uramtól? Nem mondtam-e neked: ne hitegess engem?

És monda az: Vajjon én kértem-é fiat az én uramtól? Nemde nem mondám-é néked: Ne csalj meg engemet?

Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?

Atunci ea a zis: „Am cerut eu oare domnului meu un fiu? N-am zis eu: „Nu mă amăgi”?”

Then she said, “Did I ask my lord for a son? Did I not say, ‘Do not deceive me?’”

Elizeus akkor így szólt Géhazinak: Övezd föl derekadat, vedd kezedbe a botomat, és menj el. Ha valakivel találkozol, ne köszönj neki, és ha valaki neked köszön, ne válaszolj! Tedd botomat a gyermek arcára.

És monda [Elizeus] Géházinak: Övezd fel derekadat, és vedd kezedbe az én pálczámat, és menj el, ha valakivel találkozol, ne köszönj néki, és annak is, a ki köszön néked, ne felelj, és az én pálczámat tedd a gyermek arczára.

Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.

Şi Elisei a zis lui Ghehazi: „Încinge-ţi mijlocul, ia toiagul meu în mână şi pleacă. Dacă vei întâlni pe cineva, să nu-l întrebi de sănătate; şi dacă te va întreba cineva de sănătate, să nu-i răspunzi. Să pui toiagul meu pe faţa copilului.”

He said to Gehazi, “Tie up your garment and take my staff in your hand and go. If you meet anyone, do not greet him, and if anyone greets you, do not reply. And lay my staff on the face of the child.”

De a gyermek anyja azt mondta: Él az ÚR és a te lelked, hogy nem hagylak el. Ekkor Elizeus fölkelt, és követte az asszonyt.

De a gyermeknek anyja monda: Él az Úr és él a te lelked, hogy el nem hagylak téged. Felkele azért és követé őt.

And the mother of the child said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.

Mama copilului a zis: „Viu este Domnul şi viu este sufletul tău, că nu te voi părăsi.” Şi el s-a sculat şi a mers după ea.

Then the mother of the child said, “As the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So he arose and followed her.

Géhazi pedig már előbb elment előttük, és a botot a gyermek arcára tette, de az nem szólalt meg, és nem is tért eszméletre. Visszatért tehát Elizeushoz, és jelentette neki: Nem támadt föl a gyermek.

Géházi pedig már előttök elment volt, és a pálczát a gyermek arczára fekteté, de nem szólott és nem is eszmélt rá [a gyermek.] Azért visszatért eleibe, és megmondá néki, mondván: Nem támadt fel a gyermek.

And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.

Ghehazi le-o luase înainte şi pusese toiagul pe faţa copilului, dar n-a dat nici glas, nici semn de simţire. S-a întors înaintea lui Elisei, i-a spus lucrul acesta şi a zis: „Copilul nu s-a trezit.”

Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the face of the child, but there was no sound or sign of life. Therefore he returned to meet him and told him, “The child has not awakened.”

Ekkor Elizeus bement a házba, és íme, a gyermek ott feküdt holtan az ágyán.

És bement Elizeus a házba, és ímé a gyermek ott feküdt halva az ő ágyán.

And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.

Când a ajuns Elisei în casă, iată că murise copilul, culcat în patul lui.

When Elisha came into the house, he saw the child lying dead on his bed.

Mikor bement, rázárta az ajtót magára és a gyermekre, és könyörgött az ÚRhoz.

És bement, és bezárta az ajtót magára és a gyermekre, és könyörgött az Úrnak.

He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the LORD.

Elisei a intrat şi a închis uşa după ei amândoi şi s-a rugat Domnului.

So he went in and shut the door behind the two of them and prayed to the LORD.

Majd föllépett az ágyra, a gyermekre borult, száját a szájára, szemét a szemére, kezét a kezére tette; ráborult, és megmelegedett a gyermek teste.

És az [ágyra] felhágván, a gyermekre feküdt, és az ő száját a gyermek szájára tevé, szemeit szemeire, kezeit kezeire, és ráborult, és megmelegedék a gyermek teste.

And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.

S-a suit şi s-a culcat pe copil; şi-a pus gura pe gura lui, ochii lui pe ochii lui, mâinile lui pe mâinile lui, şi s-a întins peste el. Şi trupul copilului s-a încălzit.

Then he went up and lay on the child, putting his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. And as he stretched himself upon him, the flesh of the child became warm.

Azután fölállt, és egyszer végigment a házon oda-vissza, majd újra odalépett, és ráhajolt. Ekkor a gyermek tüsszentett hétszer, és fölnyitotta a szemét.

Azután felállott, és egyszer alá és fel járt a házban, majd újra felment és reáborult. Akkor a gyermek prüsszente vagy hétszer, és felnyitá szemeit a gyermek.

Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

Elisei a plecat, a mers încoace şi încolo prin casă, apoi s-a suit iarăşi şi s-a întins peste copil. Şi copilul a strănutat de şapte ori şi a deschis ochii.

Then he got up again and walked once back and forth in the house, and went up and stretched himself upon him. The child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

Ő pedig odahívta Géhazit, és azt mondta: Hívd ide a súnémi asszonyt! Az odahívta, és amikor odament hozzá, így szólt: Vedd a fiadat!

Ő pedig szólítá Géházit, és monda: Hívd ide a Súnemitát. És oda hívá azt. És mikor oda ment, monda: Vedd a te fiadat.

And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.

Elisei a chemat pe Ghehazi şi a zis: „Cheamă pe sunamita.” Ghehazi a chemat-o, şi ea a venit la Elisei, care a zis: „Ia-ţi fiul!”

Then he summoned Gehazi and said, “Call this Shunammite.” So he called her. And when she came to him, he said, “Pick up your son.”

Az asszony odamenve a lábához esett, földre borult, azután vette a fiát, és kiment.

Ki mikor bement, lábához esék, és leborula a földre, és az ő fiát fogván, kiméne.

Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.

Ea s-a dus şi s-a aruncat la picioarele lui şi s-a închinat până la pământ. Şi şi-a luat fiul şi a ieşit afară.

She came and fell at his feet, bowing to the ground. Then she picked up her son and went out.

Amikor Elizeus visszament Gilgálba, éppen éhínség volt az országban. Amikor a prófétafiak ott ültek vele, azt mondta a szolgájának: Tedd föl a nagy fazekat, és főzz valamilyen főzeléket a prófétafiaknak.

Azután visszament Elizeus Gilgálba. Éhség vala pedig akkor az országban, és a próféták fiai ő vele laknak vala. És monda az ő szolgájának: Tedd fel a nagy fazekat, és főzz valami főzeléket a próféták fiainak.

And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.

Elisei s-a întors la Ghilgal, şi în ţară bântuia o foamete. Pe când fiii prorocilor şedeau înaintea lui, a zis slujitorului său: „Pune oala cea mare şi fierbe o ciorbă pentru fiii prorocilor!”

And Elisha came again to Gilgal when there was a famine in the land. And as the sons of the prophets were sitting before him, he said to his servant, “Set on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.”

Kiment tehát a mezőre, hogy valami zöldségfélét szedjen. Talált is valamiféle indás növényt, teleszedte a ruháját vadtökkel, és amikor hazaért, belevagdalta a fazékba főzeléknek, mert nem tudta, hogy mi az.

Kiméne azért egy a mezőre, hogy paréjt szedjen. És [holmi] vad indákra találván, tele szedé az ő ruháját azokról sártökkel, és mikor hazament, belevagdalta a fazékba főzeléknek; de nem tudta, hogy mi az?

And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.

Unul din ei a ieşit pe câmp să culeagă verdeţuri; a găsit viţă sălbatică şi a cules din ea curcubeţe sălbatice, până şi-a umplut haina. Când s-a întors, le-a tăiat în bucăţi în oala cu ciorbă, căci nu le cunoştea.

One of them went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine and gathered from it his lap full of wild gourds, and came and cut them up into the pot of stew, not knowing what they were.

Amikor azután kiosztották a férfiaknak, hogy egyenek, és ők enni kezdtek a főzelékből, így kiáltottak föl: Halál van a fazékban, Isten embere! És nem bírták megenni.

Mikor azután feladták a férfiaknak, hogy egyenek, és ők enni kezdének a főzelékből, felkiáltának és mondának: Halál van a fazékban, Isten embere! És nem bírták megenni.

So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

Au dat oamenilor acelora să mănânce. Dar, cum au mâncat din ciorba aceea, au strigat: „Omule al lui Dumnezeu, moartea este în oală!” Şi n-au putut să mănânce.

And they poured out some for the men to eat. But while they were eating of the stew, they cried out, “O man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it.

Ő pedig azt mondta: Hozzatok lisztet. Majd beledobta azt a fazékba, és ezt mondta: Merj a népnek, hadd egyenek. És nem volt már semmi rossz a fazékban.

Ő pedig monda: Hozzatok lisztet. És beleveté azt a fazékba, és monda: Add fel immár a népnek, hadd egyenek. És nem volt [már] semmi rossz a fazékban.

But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.

Elisei a zis: „Luaţi făină.” A aruncat făină în oală şi a zis: „Dă oamenilor acestora să mănânce.” Şi nu mai era nimic vătămător în oală.

He said, “Then bring flour.” And he threw it into the pot and said, “Pour some out for the men, that they may eat.” And there was no harm in the pot.

Majd jött egy férfi Baal-Sálisából, és az első zsengéből készült kenyeret, húsz árpakenyeret és friss gabonát hozott ruhájában az Isten emberének. De ő azt mondta: Add a népnek, hadd egyenek.

Jöve pedig egy férfi Baál Sálisából, és hoz vala az Isten emberének első zsengék kenyereit, húsz árpakenyeret, és megzsendült gabonafejeket az ő ruhájában; de ő monda: Add a népnek, hadd egyenek.

And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.

A venit un om din Baal-Şalişa. A adus pâine din cele dintâi roade omului lui Dumnezeu, şi anume douăzeci de pâini de orz şi spice noi în sac. Elisei a zis: „Dă oamenilor acestora să mănânce.”

A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, “Give to the men, that they may eat.”

A szolgája azonban így szólt: Hogy adjak ebből száz embernek? Ő azonban újból ezt mondta: Add a népnek, hadd egyenek, mert ezt mondja az ÚR: Esznek, és még marad is.

Felele az ő szolgája: Minek adjam ezt száz embernek? Ő pedig monda ismét: Add a népnek, hadd egyenek, mert ezt mondja az Úr: Esznek és még marad is.

And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.

Slujitorul său a răspuns: „Cum pot să dau din ele la o sută de inşi?” Dar Elisei a zis: „Dă oamenilor să mănânce; căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Vor mânca şi va mai rămâne.”

But his servant said, “How can I set this before a hundred men?” So he repeated, “Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the LORD, ‘They shall eat and have some left.’”

Akkor eléjük adta, ettek, és még maradt is belőle, ahogyan az ÚR megmondta.

És ő eleikbe adá, és evének, és még maradt is belőle, az Úrnak beszéde szerint.

So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.

Atunci le-a pus pâinile înainte; şi au mâncat şi le-a mai şi rămas, după cuvântul Domnului.

So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the LORD.
