In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.

Följött ellene Salmaneszer, Asszíria királya, és szolgájává lett Hóséa, és adót fizetett neki.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria. And Hoshea became his vassal and paid him tribute.

And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.

But the king of Assyria found treachery in Hoshea, for he had sent messengers to So, king of Egypt, and offered no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore the king of Assyria shut him up and bound him in prison.

Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.

Then the king of Assyria invaded all the land and came to Samaria, and for three years he besieged it.

In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria, and he carried the Israelites away to Assyria and placed them in Halah, and on the Habor, the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,

And this occurred because the people of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods

And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.

And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

And the people of Israel did secretly against the LORD their God things that were not right. They built for themselves high places in all their towns, from watchtower to fortified city.

And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:

And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:

and there they made offerings on all the high places, as the nations did whom the LORD carried away before them. And they did wicked things, provoking the LORD to anger,

For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.

and they served idols, of which the LORD had said to them, “You shall not do this.”

És amikor megintette őket az ÚR Izráelben és Júdában minden prófétája és minden látnoka által e szavakkal: „Térjetek meg gonosz útjaitokról, és őrizzétek meg az én parancsolataimat és rendeléseimet a teljes törvény szerint, amelyet atyáitoknak parancsoltam, és amelyet hozzátok küldtem szolgáim, a próféták által”,

Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

Domnul a înştiinţat pe Israel şi Iuda prin toţi prorocii Lui, prin toţi văzătorii şi le-a zis: „Întoarceţi-vă de la căile voastre cele rele şi păziţi poruncile şi rânduielile Mele, urmând în totul Legea pe care am dat-o părinţilor voştri şi pe care v-am trimis-o prin robii Mei prorocii.”

Yet the LORD warned Israel and Judah by every prophet and every seer, saying, “Turn from your evil ways and keep my commandments and my statutes, in accordance with all the Law that I commanded your fathers, and that I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”

Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.

But they would not listen, but were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the LORD their God.

Sőt megvetették rendeléseit és szövetségét, amelyet atyáikkal kötött, és intelmeit, amelyekkel figyelmeztette őket, és a hiábavalóságot követve maguk is hiábavalókká lettek, és a körülöttük levő pogányokat követték, pedig azt parancsolta nekik az ÚR, hogy ne utánozzák őket.

Sőt megvetették az ő rendeléseit és szövetségét, a melyet atyáikkal kötött, és az ő bizonyságtételeit, a melyekkel megintette őket, és hiábavalóságot követvén, magok is hiábavalókká lettek, és a körültök való pogányok után [indultak, ]a kik felől pedig azt parancsolta nékik az Úr, hogy azokat ne utánozzák.

And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.

N-au vrut să ştie de legile Lui, de legământul pe care-l făcuse cu părinţii lor şi de înştiinţările pe care li le dăduse. S-au luat după lucruri de nimic, şi ei înşişi n-au fost decât nimic, şi după neamurile în mijlocul cărora trăiau, măcar că Domnul le poruncise să nu se ia după ele.

They despised his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers and the warnings that he gave them. They went after false idols and became false, and they followed the nations that were around them, concerning whom the LORD had commanded them that they should not do like them.

Elhagyták Istenüknek, az ÚRnak minden parancsolatát, és öntött bálványt csináltak maguknak, két borjút és Asérát készítettek, és meghajoltak az ég minden serege előtt, és szolgálták a Baalt.

And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

And they abandoned all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made for themselves metal images of two calves; and they made an Asherah and worshiped all the host of heaven and served Baal.

And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings and used divination and omens and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking him to anger.

Azért igen megharagudott az ÚR Izráelre, elvetette színe elől, és semmi sem maradt meg, egyedül csak Júda törzse.

Azért igen megharaguvék az Úr Izráelre, és elveté őt színe elől; és semmi nem maradt meg, hanem csak a Júda nemzetsége egyedül.

Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

De aceea Domnul S-a mâniat foarte tare împotriva lui Israel, şi i-a îndepărtat de la faţa Lui. – N-a rămas decât seminţia lui Iuda:

Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah only.

Sőt még Júda sem őrizte meg az ő Istenének, az ÚRnak parancsolatait, hanem Izráel szokásaihoz igazodva úgy cselekedett, mint azok.

Also Judah kept not the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.

Judah also did not keep the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the customs that Israel had introduced.

Ezért idegenült el az ÚR Izráel összes utódaitól, megsanyargatta és fosztogatók kezébe adta őket, míg végül mindnyájukat elvetette színe elől.

And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.

And the LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and gave them into the hand of plunderers, until he had cast them out of his sight.

Mert elszakította Izráelt Dávid házától, és királlyá tették Jeroboámot, Nebát fiát. Jeroboám pedig elcsalta Izráelt az ÚRtól, és igen nagy vétekbe ejtette őket.

For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin.

Căci Israel se dezlipise de casa lui David şi făcuseră împărat pe Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat, care-i abătuse de la Domnul şi făcuse pe Israel să săvârşească un mare păcat.

When he had torn Israel from the house of David, they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. And Jeroboam drove Israel from following the LORD and made them commit great sin.

For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;

The people of Israel walked in all the sins that Jeroboam did. They did not depart from them,

Míg végül az ÚR elvetette színe elől Izráelt, amint megmondta szolgái, a próféták által. Így hurcolták fogságra Izráelt a maga földjéről Asszíriába; és így van ez mindmáig.

Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.

până ce Domnul a izgonit pe Israel dinaintea Lui, cum vestise prin toţi slujitorii Săi proroci. Şi Israel a fost dus în robie, departe de ţara lui, în Asiria, unde a rămas până în ziua de azi.

until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had spoken by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their own land to Assyria until this day.

Asszíria királya azután más népet hozott be Bábelból, Kútából, Avvából, Hamátból és Szefarvaimból, és letelepítette őket Samária városaiba Izráel fiai helyett. Azok birtokba vették Samáriát, és annak városaiban laktak.

And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.

And the king of Assyria brought people from Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath, and Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the people of Israel. And they took possession of Samaria and lived in its cities.

Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land.

Atunci au spus împăratului Asiriei: „Neamurile pe care le-ai strămutat şi le-ai aşezat în cetăţile Samariei nu cunosc felul în care să slujească Dumnezeului ţării, şi El a trimis împotriva lor nişte lei care le omoară, pentru că nu cunosc felul în care trebuie să slujească Dumnezeului ţării.”

So the king of Assyria was told, “The nations that you have carried away and placed in the cities of Samaria do not know the law of the god of the land. Therefore he has sent lions among them, and behold, they are killing them, because they do not know the law of the god of the land.”

Azért ezt parancsolta Asszíria királya: Vigyetek oda egyet a papok közül, akiket elhoztatok onnan, hogy menjen el, lakjon ott, és tanítsa meg őket ama föld Istenének helyes tiszteletére.

Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.

Împăratul Asiriei a dat următoarea poruncă: „Trimiteţi pe unul din preoţii pe care i-aţi luat de acolo în robie; să plece să se aşeze acolo şi să le înveţe felul în care să slujească Dumnezeului ţării.”

Then the king of Assyria commanded, “Send there one of the priests whom you carried away from there, and let him go and dwell there and teach them the law of the god of the land.”

So one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and lived in Bethel and taught them how they should fear the LORD.

És mindmáig az ő régi szokásuk szerint cselekszenek. Nem tisztelik igazán az URat, és nem cselekszenek az ő rendelései és parancsai szerint, sem pedig ama törvény és parancsolat szerint, amelyet az ÚR parancsolt Jákób fiainak, akiknek az Izráel nevet adta,

Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;

So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children's children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day.

So these nations feared the LORD and also served their carved images. Their children did likewise, and their children’s children—as their fathers did, so they do to this day.
