And the king sent, and they gathered unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.

And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.

And the king went up to the house of the LORD, and with him all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the priests and the prophets, all the people, both small and great. And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant that had been found in the house of the LORD.

Majd odaállt a király az emelvényre, és szövetséget kötött az ÚR színe előtt, hogy ők az URat akarják követni, és az ő parancsolatait, intelmeit és rendeléseit teljes szívvel és lélekkel megtartják, és teljesítik e szövetség szavait, amelyek meg vannak írva abban a könyvben. And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.

And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people joined in the covenant.

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest and the priests of the second order and the keepers of the threshold to bring out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron and carried their ashes to Bethel.

And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

And he deposed the priests whom the kings of Judah had ordained to make offerings in the high places at the cities of Judah and around Jerusalem; those also who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and the moon and the constellations and all the host of the heavens.

And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.

And the king defiled the high places that were east of Jerusalem, to the south of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove.

And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.

Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.

Then he said, “What is that monument that I see?” And the men of the city told him, “It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and predicted these things that you have done against the altar at Bethel.”

Erre azt mondta: Hagyjatok békét neki, és senki meg ne bolygassa tetemét! És meghagyták a tetemét annak a prófétának a tetemével együtt, aki Samáriából jött.

And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.

And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.

And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.

And the king commanded all the people, “Keep the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.”

Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.

Moreover, Josiah put away the mediums and the necromancers and the household gods and the idols and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, that he might establish the words of the law that were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.

Nem is volt hozzá hasonló király őelőtte, aki úgy megtért volna az ÚRhoz teljes szívéből és teljes lelkéből és teljes erejéből Mózes minden törvénye szerint, de utána sem támadt hozzá hasonló.

And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

Înainte de Iosia, n-a fost niciun împărat care să se întoarcă la Domnul, ca el, din toată inima, din tot sufletul şi din toată puterea lui, întocmai după toată Legea lui Moise; şi chiar după el, n-a fost niciunul ca el.

Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses, nor did any like him arise after him.

Az ÚR izzó nagy haragja azonban nem szűnt meg, amellyel megharagudott Júdára mindazokért a vétkekért, amelyekkel bosszantotta őt Manassé.

De az Úr még sem szünt meg az ő megbúsult nagy haragjától, a melylyel megharagudott volt Júdára mindazokért a bosszantásokért, a melyekkel bosszantotta őt Manasse.

Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.

Totuşi Domnul nu S-a întors din iuţimea mâniei Lui celei mari de care era aprins împotriva lui Iuda, din pricina tuturor celor ce făcuse Manase ca să-L mânie.

Still the LORD did not turn from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him.

Mert azt mondta az ÚR: Júdát is elvetem szemem elől, mint ahogy Izráelt elvetettem, és megutálom ezt a várost, Jeruzsálemet, amelyet választottam, sőt a templomot is, amelyről azt mondtam: Ott legyen az én nevem.

Mert azt mondá az Úr: Júdát is elvetem szemem elől, mint a hogy az Izráelt elvetettem, és megútálom ezt a várost, a melyet választottam, Jeruzsálemet, és ezt a házat is, a melyről azt mondottam volt: Ott legyen az én nevem!

And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.

Şi Domnul a zis: „Voi lepăda şi pe Iuda dinaintea Mea, cum am lepădat pe Israel, şi voi lepăda cetatea aceasta a Ierusalimului, pe care o alesesem, şi casa despre care zisesem: „Acolo va fi Numele Meu.”

And the LORD said, “I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and I will cast off this city that I have chosen, Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.”

Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Celelalte fapte ale lui Iosia şi tot ce a făcut el nu sunt scrise oare în cartea Cronicilor împăraţilor lui Iuda?

Az ő idejében vonult föl Nékó fáraó, az egyiptomi király Asszíria királya ellen az Eufrátesz folyóvize mellé. Jósiás király eléje ment, de az megölte őt Megiddóban, amint meglátta.

Az ő idejében jött fel Faraó-Nékó, az égyiptomi király Assiria királya ellen az Eufrátes folyóvize mellé. És Jósiás király eleibe ment, de az megölte őt Megiddóban, a mint meglátta őt.

In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.

Pe vremea sa, Faraon Neco, împăratul Egiptului, s-a suit împotriva împăratului Asiriei, la râul Eufratului. Împăratul Iosia i-a ieşit înainte; şi faraon l-a omorât la Meghido, cum l-a văzut.

In his days Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates. King Josiah went to meet him, and Pharaoh Neco killed him at Megiddo, as soon as he saw him.

Szolgái egy harci szekérre tették és holtan vitték el Megiddóból. Jeruzsálembe vitték és eltemették a sírboltjába. Az ország népe azután fogta Jóáházt, Jósiás fiát, fölkente és királlyá tette őt apja után.

És az ő szolgái szekérre tévén őt, halva vitték el Megiddóból és Jeruzsálembe hozván, eltemeték őt az ő sírboltjába. A föld népe pedig vevé Joákházt, a Jósiás fiát, és felkenvén őt, királylyá tevé az ő atyja helyett.

And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead.

Slujitorii lui l-au luat mort într-un car; l-au adus din Meghido la Ierusalim şi l-au îngropat în mormântul său. Şi poporul ţării a luat pe Ioahaz, fiul lui Iosia: ei l-au uns şi l-au făcut împărat în locul tatălui său.

And his servants carried him dead in a chariot from Megiddo and brought him to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father’s place.

Az ÚR szemében gonoszul cselekedett, pontosan úgy, ahogyan atyái.

És gonoszul cselekedék az Úr szemei előtt mind a szerint, a mint az ő atyái cselekedtek volt.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.

De Nékó fáraó bilincsbe verette őt Riblában, Hamát földjén, hogy ne uralkodhasson Jeruzsálemben. Az országra pedig száz talentum ezüstöt és egy talentum aranyat vetett ki adóként.

De Faraó-Nékó bilincsekbe verte őt Riblában, Hámát földjén, a mikor Jeruzsálemben királylyá lett; és az országra adót vetett, száz tálentom ezüstöt és egy tálentom aranyat.

And Pharaohnechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of an hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.

Faraon Neco l-a pus în lanţuri la Ribla, în ţara Hamatului, ca să nu mai domnească la Ierusalim; şi a pus asupra ţării o gloabă de o sută de talanţi de argint şi de un talant de aur.

And Pharaoh Neco put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and laid on the land a tribute of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

Majd Nékó fáraó Eljákimot, Jósiás fiát tette királlyá apja, Jósiás helyett, és nevét Jójákimra változtatta. Jóáházt pedig magával vitte Egyiptomba, aki ott halt meg.

És Faraó-Nékó Eliákimot, a Jósiás fiát tette királylyá, az ő atyja, Jósiás helyett, és nevét Joákimra változtatta; Joákházt pedig magával vivé, és az Égyiptomba megérkezvén, ott hala meg.

And Pharaohnechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there.

Şi Faraon Neco a pus împărat pe Eliachim, fiul lui Iosia, în locul tatălui său Iosia şi i-a schimbat numele în Ioiachim. A luat pe Ioahaz, care a mers în Egipt şi a murit acolo.

And Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the place of Josiah his father, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz away, and he came to Egypt and died there.

Jójákim megadta ugyan az ezüstöt és az aranyat a fáraónak, de az országot sarcoltatta meg, hogy megadhassa a pénzt a fáraó parancsa szerint. A föld népe közül mindenkitől vagyona szerint hajtott be ezüstöt és aranyat, hogy Nékó fáraónak adja.

Az ezüstöt és az aranyat megadta ugyan Joákim a Faraónak, de az országot sarczoltatta meg, hogy megadhassa az ezüstöt a Faraó parancsolata szerint; a föld népe közül mindenkitől az ő értéke szerint hajtott be ezüstöt és aranyat, hogy Faraó-Nékónak adja.

And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaohnechoh.

Ioiachim a dat lui faraon argintul şi aurul; dar a trebuit să pună bir asupra ţării ca să scoată argintul acesta, cerut de faraon; a hotărât partea fiecăruia şi a cerut de la poporul ţării argintul şi aurul pe care trebuia să-l dea lui Faraon Neco.

And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh, but he taxed the land to give the money according to the command of Pharaoh. He exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, from everyone according to his assessment, to give it to Pharaoh Neco.

Jójákim huszonöt esztendős volt, amikor uralkodni kezdett, és tizenegy évig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben. Anyja neve Zebuddá volt, a rúmabeli Pedájá leánya.

Joákim huszonöt esztendős volt, mikor uralkodni kezdett, és tizenegy esztendeig uralkodott Jeruzsálemben; az ő anyjának neve Zébuda, a Rúmabeli Pedája leánya.

Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.

Ioiachim avea douăzeci şi cinci de ani când a ajuns împărat şi a domnit unsprezece ani la Ierusalim. Mama sa se chema Zebuda, fata lui Pedaia, din Ruma.

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zebidah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.
