Egyszer Elizeus így szólt ahhoz az asszonyhoz, akinek a fiát föltámasztotta: Kelj föl, és menj el házad népével együtt, és maradj ott, ahol megélhetsz, mert az ÚR éhínséget szerez, és el is jön az a földre hét esztendeig.

És Elizeus szólott volt annak az asszonynak, a kinek a fiát feltámasztotta volt, mondván: Kelj fel, és menj el a te házadnépével együtt, és tartózkodjál, a hol tartózkodhatol; mert az Úr éhséget hívott elő, és el is jött a földre hét esztendeig.

Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.

Elisei a zis femeii pe al cărei fiu îl înviase: „Scoală-te, du-te, tu şi casa ta, şi locuieşte pentru o vreme unde vei putea; căci Domnul va trimite o foamete de şapte ani peste ţară, şi foametea a şi început.”

Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life, “Arise, and depart with your household, and sojourn wherever you can, for the LORD has called for a famine, and it will come upon the land for seven years.”

Erre az asszony fölkelt, és Isten emberének beszéde szerint cselekedett: és elment ő és háznépe, és a filiszteusok földjén lakott hét esztendeig.

And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

So the woman arose and did according to the word of the man of God. She went with her household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

Amikor elmúlt a hét esztendő, visszatért az asszony a filiszteusok földjéről, és elment, hogy panaszkodjék a királynak háza és szántóföldje ügyében.

And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.

După şapte ani, femeia s-a întors din ţara filistenilor şi s-a dus să roage pe împărat pentru casa şi ogorul ei.

And at the end of the seven years, when the woman returned from the land of the Philistines, she went to appeal to the king for her house and her land.

A király pedig éppen Géhazival, Isten emberének a szolgájával beszélt, és ezt mondta: Beszéld el nekem, kérlek, mindazokat a csodálatos dolgokat, amelyeket Elizeus cselekedett!

And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.

Împăratul stătea de vorbă cu Ghehazi, slujitorul omului lui Dumnezeu, şi zicea: „Istoriseşte-mi, te rog, toate lucrurile mari pe care le-a făcut Elisei.”

Now the king was talking with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, “Tell me all the great things that Elisha has done.”

Amikor elbeszélte a királynak, hogy hogyan támasztotta föl a halottat, íme, az az asszony, akinek a gyermekét föltámasztotta, éppen akkor járult a királyhoz az ő háza és szántóföldjei ügyében. Géhazi ezt mondta: Uram, király, ez az az asszony és ez az ő fia, akit Elizeus föltámasztott.

And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

Şi pe când istorisea împăratului cum înviase pe un mort, tocmai a venit femeia pe al cărei fiu îl înviase Elisei să roage pe împărat pentru casa şi ogorul ei. Ghehazi a zis: „Împărate, domnul meu, iată femeia şi iată fiul ei, pe care l-a înviat Elisei.”

And while he was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life, behold, the woman whose son he had restored to life appealed to the king for her house and her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, here is the woman, and here is her son whom Elisha restored to life.”

A király kikérdezte az asszonyt, és ő elbeszélte neki a dolgot. Ekkor a király egy udvari szolgát adott mellé, és azt mondta: Adasd vissza neki minden jószágát és a szántóföldnek minden hasznát attól az időtől fogva, amióta elhagyta az országot, egész mostanáig.

And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

Împăratul a întrebat pe femeie, şi ea i-a istorisit faptul. Apoi împăratul i-a dat un dregător, căruia i-a zis: „Vezi să se dea înapoi tot ce este al femeii acesteia, cu toate veniturile ogorului, din ziua când a părăsit ţara şi până acum!”

And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed an official for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, together with all the produce of the fields from the day that she left the land until now.”

Elizeus ezután elment Damaszkuszba. Benhadad, Arám királya pedig éppen beteg volt. Hírül adták neki: Isten embere idejött.

És Elizeus elment Damaskusba, Benhadád pedig, Siria királya beteg volt, és hírül adák néki, mondván: Az Isten embere ide jött.

And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.

Elisei s-a întors la Damasc. Ben-Hadad, împăratul Siriei, era bolnav. Şi l-au înştiinţat, zicând: „Omul lui Dumnezeu a venit aici!”

Now Elisha came to Damascus. Ben-hadad the king of Syria was sick. And when it was told him, “The man of God has come here,”

A király azt mondta Hazáélnak: Végy ajándékot a kezedbe, és menj Isten embere elé, és kérj tanácsot az ÚRtól őáltala: Meggyógyulok-e ebből a betegségből?

És monda a király Hazáelnek: Végy ajándékot kezedbe, és menj eleibe az Isten emberének, és kérj tanácsot az Úrtól ő általa, mondván: Meggyógyulok-é ebből a betegségből?

And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

Împăratul a zis lui Hazael: „Ia cu tine un dar şi du-te înaintea omului lui Dumnezeu. Întreabă prin el pe Domnul şi zi: „Mă voi tămădui de boala aceasta?”

the king said to Hazael, “Take a present with you and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the LORD through him, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this sickness?’”

Hazáél pedig eléje ment, és ajándékokat vitt a kezében: mindenféle damaszkuszi drágaságot negyven megrakott tevével. Elment, megállt előtte, és így szólt: Fiad, Benhadad, Arám királya küldött engem hozzád e kérdéssel: Vajon meggyógyulok-e ebből a betegségből?

És eleibe ment Hazáel, és ajándékokat vitt kezében mindenféle drága damaskusi jószágból negyven teve terhét; és elment, és megállott előtte, és így szólt: A te fiad, Benhadád, Siria királya, az küldött engem hozzád, mondván: Vajjon meggyógyulok-é ebből a betegségből?

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

Hazael s-a dus înaintea lui Elisei, luând cu el un dar, tot ce era mai bun în Damasc, patruzeci de cămile încărcate. Când a ajuns, s-a înfăţişat înaintea lui şi a zis: „Fiul tău Ben-Hadad, împăratul Siriei, mă trimite la tine să te întreb: „Mă voi tămădui de boala aceasta?”

So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, all kinds of goods of Damascus, forty camels’ loads. When he came and stood before him, he said, “Your son Ben-hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this sickness?’”

Elizeus így felelt neki: Menj el, mondd meg neki: Biztos, hogy nem gyógyulsz meg. Mert az ÚR megjelentette nekem, hogy meg kell halnia.

Felele néki Elizeus: Menj el, mondd meg néki: Nem maradsz életben, mert megjelentette nékem az Úr, hogy halált hal.

And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the LORD hath shewed me that he shall surely die.

Elisei i-a răspuns: „Du-te şi spune-i: „Te vei tămădui”, măcar că Domnul mi-a descoperit că va muri.”

And Elisha said to him, “Go, say to him, ‘You shall certainly recover,’ but the LORD has shown me that he shall certainly die.”

Isten embere ekkor rámeredt, míg az zavarba jött, és Elizeus végül sírni kezdett.

És mereven ránézett Hazáelre, mígnem zavarba jött; végre sírni kezdett az Isten embere.

And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.

Omul lui Dumnezeu şi-a pironit privirea asupra lui Hazael şi s-a uitat ţintă la el multă vreme; apoi a plâns.

And he fixed his gaze and stared at him, until he was embarrassed. And the man of God wept.

Hazáél megkérdezte: Miért sír az én uram? Ő így felelt: Mert megtudtam, hogy milyen veszedelmet hozol Izráel fiaira. Erős városait felperzseled, ifjait fegyverrel levágatod, csecsemőiket földhöz vágod, és várandós asszonyaikat felhasogatod.

És monda Hazáel: Miért sír az én uram? És felele: Mert tudom a veszedelmet, a melyet az Izráel fiaira hozol; az ő erős városait megégeted, az ő ifjait fegyverrel levágatod, és kis gyermekeit a földhöz vered, és terhes asszonyait ketté vágod.

And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.

Hazael a zis: „Pentru ce plânge domnul meu?” Şi Elisei a răspuns: „Pentru că ştiu răul pe care-l vei face copiilor lui Israel; vei pune foc cetăţilor întărite ale lor; vei ucide cu sabia pe tinerii lor, vei zdrobi pe pruncii lor şi vei spinteca pântecele femeilor însărcinate.”

And Hazael said, “Why does my lord weep?” He answered, “Because I know the evil that you will do to the people of Israel. You will set on fire their fortresses, and you will kill their young men with the sword and dash in pieces their little ones and rip open their pregnant women.”

Hazáél ezt mondta: Ugyan, micsoda a te szolgád, ez az eb, hogy ilyen nagy dolgokat cselekednék? Elizeus így felelt: Megjelentette nekem az ÚR, hogy te leszel Arám királya.

És monda Hazáel: Kicsoda a te szolgád, ez az eb, hogy ilyen nagy dolgokat cselekednék? És felele Elizeus: Megjelentette nékem az Úr, hogy te leszel Siria királya.

And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.

Hazael a zis: „Dar ce este robul tău, câinele acesta, ca să facă lucruri aşa de mari?” Şi Elisei a zis: „Domnul mi-a descoperit că vei fi împărat al Siriei.”

And Hazael said, “What is your servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?” Elisha answered, “The LORD has shown me that you are to be king over Syria.”

Erre eltávozott Elizeustól, bement urához, aki megkérdezte: Mit mondott neked Elizeus? Ő így szólt: Azt mondta, hogy meggyógyulsz.

So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.

Then he departed from Elisha and came to his master, who said to him, “What did Elisha say to you?” And he answered, “He told me that you would certainly recover.”

And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

But the next day he took the bed cloth and dipped it in water and spread it over his face, till he died. And Hazael became king in his place.

Jórámnak, Aháb fiának, Izráel királyának ötödik esztendejében kezdett uralkodni Jórám, Jósáfát fia mint Júda királya, amikor még Jósáfát volt Júda királya.

És Jórámnak, az Akháb fiának, az Izráel királyának ötödik esztendejében, mikor még Josafát vala Júda királya, uralkodni kezdett Jórám, a Josafát fia, Júda királya.

And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Je hoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.

În al cincilea an al lui Ioram, fiul lui Ahab, împăratul lui Israel, a început să domnească Ioram, fiul lui Iosafat, împăratul lui Iuda.

In the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign.

Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

Izráel királyainak útján járt, ahogy az Aháb házából valók tették, mert Aháb leánya volt a felesége, és gonoszul cselekedett az ÚR szemében.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. And he did what was evil in the sight of the LORD.

De az ÚR mégsem akarta elpusztítani Júdát Dávidért, az ő szolgájáért, mert megígérte neki, hogy mécsest ad neki és fiainak mindenkor.

Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.

Dar Domnul n-a voit să nimicească pe Iuda, din pricina robului Său David, după făgăduinţa pe care i-o făcuse că-i va da totdeauna o lumină printre fiii săi.

Yet the LORD was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of David his servant, since he promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever.

Ezért Jórám Cáirba vonult minden harci szekerével együtt. Éjjel fölkelt, és átvágta magát az edómiakon, akik körülzárták őt és a harci szekerek parancsnokait. A hadinép elfutott, mindenki a maga sátrába.

És átment Jórám Seirbe és minden harczi szekere ő vele, s mikor éjjel felkelt és megtámadta az Edomitákat, a kik körülzárták őt, és a szekerek fejedelmeit, megfutott a nép, kiki az ő hajlékába.

So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

Ioram a trecut la Ţair, cu toate carele lui. Sculându-se noaptea, a bătut pe edomiţi, care-l înconjurau, şi pe căpeteniile carelor, şi poporul a fugit în corturi.

Then Joram passed over to Zair with all his chariots and rose by night, and he and his chariot commanders struck the Edomites who had surrounded him, but his army fled home.

És elaludt, és atyáihoz tért Jórám, és eltemették atyáihoz Dávid városában; utána fia, Ahazjá lett a király.

And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.

In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, Ahaziah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, began to reign.

Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah; she was a granddaughter of Omri king of Israel.

And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.

And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.

He went with Joram the son of Ahab to make war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth-gilead, and the Syrians wounded Joram.

And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.

And King Joram returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds that the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
