Amikor Ezékiás király hallotta ezeket, megszaggatta ruháit, zsákruhát öltött, és bement az ÚR házába.

And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

As soon as King Hezekiah heard it, he tore his clothes and covered himself with sackcloth and went into the house of the LORD.

Azután elküldte Eljákimot, a királyi palota gondnokát, Sebnát, az íródeákot és a papoknak véneit zsákruhába öltözve Ézsaiás prófétához, Ámóc fiához.

És elküldte Eliákimot, a [király] házának gondviselőjét, és Sebnát, az íródeákot, és a papoknak véneit, a kik zsákba öltöztek, Ésaiás prófétához, az Ámós fiához;

And he sent Eliakim, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

A trimis pe Eliachim, căpetenia casei împăratului, pe Şebna, logofătul, şi pe preoţii cei mai bătrâni, acoperiţi cu saci, la prorocul Isaia, fiul lui Amoţ.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the secretary, and the senior priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz.

Ezek így szóltak neki: Ezt mondja Ezékiás: Ez a nap nyomorúságnak, szidalmazásnak és káromlásnak a napja. Mint mikor eljő a szülés ideje, de nincs erő a magzat megszülésére.

És mondának néki: Ezt mondja Ezékiás: E nap nyomorúságnak, szidalmazásnak és káromlásnak napja; mert a fiak a szülésre jutottak, de nincs erő szüléshez.

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

Şi i-au zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Ezechia: „Ziua aceasta este o zi de necaz, de pedeapsă şi de ocară; căci copiii sunt aproape să iasă din pântecele mamei, şi nu este putere pentru naştere.

They said to him, “Thus says Hezekiah, This day is a day of distress, of rebuke, and of disgrace; children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to bring them forth.

Talán meghallja az ÚR, a te Istened Rabsaké minden beszédét, akit elküldött az ő ura, Asszíria királya, hogy szidalommal illesse az élő Istent és káromló beszédekkel, amelyeket az ÚR, a te Istened meghallott. Könyörögj hát azokért, akik még megmaradtak!

It may be the LORD thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God; and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left.

It may be that the LORD your God heard all the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to mock the living God, and will rebuke the words that the LORD your God has heard; therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.”

So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Şi Isaia le-a zis: „Iată ce să spuneţi stăpânului vostru: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Nu te speria de cuvintele pe care le-ai auzit şi prin care M-au batjocorit slujitorii împăratului Asiriei.

Isaiah said to them, “Say to your master, ‘Thus says the LORD: Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled me.

Íme, olyan lelket adok belé, hogy egy hírt hall, és visszatér országába, ott pedig fegyverrel vágatom le őt a saját földjén.

Ímé én oly lelket adok belé, hogy hírt hallván, visszatér az ő földjére és fegyverrel vágatom le őt az ő földjében.

Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

Voi pune în el un duh care îl va face ca, la auzul unei veşti pe care o va primi, să se întoarcă în ţara lui; şi-l voi face să cadă ucis de sabie în ţara lui.”

Behold, I will put a spirit in him, so that he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land, and I will make him fall by the sword in his own land.’”

És amikor Rabsaké visszatért, Asszíria királyát már Libná ellen harcolva találta, mert megtudta, hogy elvonult Lákisból.

So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

Azt hallotta ugyanis Tirháká, az etióp király felől: Íme, elindult, hogy hadakozzék ellened. Erre visszafordult, és követeket küldött Ezékiáshoz ezzel az üzenettel:

És hallván Tirháka felől, a szerecsen király felől, ezt mondván: Ímé kijött, hogy hadakozzék te ellened; visszafordult és követeket küldött Ezékiáshoz, ezt izenvén:

And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee: he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah, saying,

Atunci împăratul Asiriei a primit o veste cu privire la Tirhaca, împăratul Etiopiei. I s-a spus: „Iată că acela a pornit cu război împotriva ta.” Şi împăratul Asiriei a trimis soli din nou lui Ezechia, zicând:

Now the king heard concerning Tirhakah king of Cush, “Behold, he has set out to fight against you.” So he sent messengers again to Hezekiah, saying,

Ezt mondjátok Ezékiásnak, Júda királyának: „Meg ne csaljon téged Istened, akiben bízol, azt gondolván, hogy Jeruzsálem nem adatik Asszíria királyának kezébe!

Így szóljatok Ezékiásnak, a Júda királyának, mondván: Meg ne csaljon téged a te Istened, a kiben bízol, ezt mondván: Nem adatik Assiria királyának kezébe Jeruzsálem.

Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

„Aşa să vorbiţi lui Ezechia, împăratul lui Iuda: „Să nu te înşele Dumnezeul tău în care te încrezi, zicând: „Ierusalimul nu va fi dat în mâinile împăratului Asiriei.”

“Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah: ‘Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you by promising that Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Íme, hallottad, mit cselekedtek Asszíria királyai minden országgal, hogyan pusztították el azokat; és te talán megszabadulhatnál?

Ímé hallottad, mit cselekedtek Assiria királyai minden országokkal, elvesztvén azokat; és te megszabadulhatsz-é?

Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered?

Iată, ai auzit ce au făcut împăraţii Asiriei tuturor ţărilor şi cum le-au nimicit; şi tu, să fii izbăvit?!

Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, devoting them to destruction. And shall you be delivered?

Vajon megszabadították-e a népek istenei azokat, akiket atyáim elpusztítottak: Gózánt, Háránt, Recefet és Eden fiait, akik Telasszárban voltak?

Vajjon megszabadították-é a pogányok istenei azokat, a kiket elvesztettek az én atyáim: Gózánt, Aránt, Résefet és az Eden fiait, a kik Thelasárban [voltak?]

Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar?

Dumnezeii neamurilor pe care le-au nimicit părinţii mei au izbăvit ei pe Gozan, Haran, Reţef şi pe fiii lui Eden din Telasar?

Have the gods of the nations delivered them, the nations that my fathers destroyed, Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar?

Hol van Hamát királya, Arpád királya és Szefarvaim városának királya meg Héna és Ivvá?”

Hol van Hámát királya, Arphád királya és Sefárvaim város királya? Héna és Hivva?

Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah?

Unde este împăratul Hamatului, împăratul Arpadului şi împăratul cetăţii Sefarvaimului, Henei şi Ivei?”

Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, the king of Hena, or the king of Ivvah?’”

Miután Ezékiás átvette a levelet a követek kezéből és elolvasta, fölment az ÚR házába, és kiterítette azt az ÚR előtt.

És elvevé Ezékiás a levelet a követek kezéből, és elolvasá azt, és felment az Úr házába, és kiterjeszté azt Ezékiás az Úr előtt;

And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.

Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the LORD and spread it before the LORD.

Majd Ezékiás így imádkozott az ÚR előtt: URam, Izráel Istene, aki a kerúbok között laksz, te vagy egyedül e föld minden országának Istene, te teremtetted a mennyet és a földet.

És imádkozék Ezékiás az Úr előtt, és monda: Uram, Izráel Istene! a ki a Kérubok között lakol, te vagy egyedül e föld minden országainak Istene, te teremtetted a mennyet és a földet;

And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

căruia i-a făcut următoarea rugăciune: „Doamne Dumnezeul lui Israel care şezi pe heruvimi! Tu eşti singurul Dumnezeu al tuturor împărăţiilor pământului! Tu ai făcut cerurile şi pământul.

And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD and said: “O LORD, the God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made the heavens and the earth.

Fordítsd felém, URam, füledet, és hallgass meg! Nyisd föl, URam, szemedet, lásd meg és halld meg Szanhérib beszédét, aki ideküldte ezt az embert, hogy szidalommal illesse az élő Istent!

Hajtsd hozzám, Uram, a te füledet és halld meg; nyisd fel Uram, a te szemeidet és lásd meg: és halld meg a Sénakhérib beszédét, a ki ide küldött, hogy szidalommal illesse az élő Istent.

LORD, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.

Doamne, pleacă-Ţi urechea şi ascultă! Doamne, deschide-Ţi ochii şi priveşte. Auzi cuvintele lui Sanherib, care a trimis pe Rabşache să batjocorească pe Dumnezeul cel Viu.

Incline your ear, O LORD, and hear; open your eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to mock the living God.

Igaz, URam, Asszíria királyai elpusztították a pogányokat és országaikat.

Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,

Truly, O LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands

Isteneiket tűzbe vetették, de azok nem voltak istenek, hanem csak emberi kéz alkotásai: fa és kő, azért pusztíthatták el azokat.

And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods, but the work of men’s hands, wood and stone. Therefore they were destroyed.

Most azonban, URunk, Istenünk, kérlek, szabadíts meg minket az ő kezéből, hogy fölismerje e föld minden országa, hogy te, az ÚR vagy az egyetlen Isten!

Most azonban, mi Urunk, Istenünk, szabadíts meg, kérlek, minket az ő kezéből, hogy megismerje e föld minden országa, hogy te, az Úr, vagy az egyetlen Isten!

Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only.

Acum, Doamne Dumnezeul nostru, izbăveşte-ne din mâna lui Sanherib, ca să ştie toate împărăţiile pământului că numai Tu eşti Dumnezeu, Doamne!”

So now, O LORD our God, save us, please, from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, O LORD, are God alone.”

Akkor Ézsaiás, Ámóc fia ezt az üzenetet küldte Ezékiásnak: Így szól az ÚR, Izráel Istene: Meghallottam könyörgésedet, amelyet Asszíria királya, Szanhérib miatt mondtál.

Akkor elküldött Ésaiás, az Ámós fia, Ezékiáshoz, ezt mondván: Azt mondja az Úr, Izráel Istene: A te könyörgésedet, Assiria királya, Sénakhérib felől, meghallgattam.

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: Your prayer to me about Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.

Ezt mondta róla az ÚR: Megvet és kigúnyol téged Sion szűz leánya, fejét csóválja mögötted Jeruzsálem leánya.

This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning him: “She despises you, she scorns you— the virgin daughter of Zion; she wags her head behind you— the daughter of Jerusalem.

Kit szidalmaztál és kit gyaláztál? És ki ellen emelted föl szavadat, vagy ki ellen emelted föl szemedet a magasságba? Izráel szentje ellen!

Kit szidalmaztál és kit gyaláztál? És ki ellen emelted fel a te szódat, vagy [ki ellen] emelted fel a te szemeidet a magasságba? Az Izráel szentje ellen!

Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Pe cine ai batjocorit şi ai ocărât tu? Împotriva cui ai ridicat glasul? Şi împotriva cui ţi-ai ridicat ochii? Împotriva Sfântului lui Israel!

“Whom have you mocked and reviled? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes to the heights? Against the Holy One of Israel!

Követeid által így gúnyoltad az URat: Szekereim sokaságával fölhágok a hegyek csúcsára, a Libánon legtávolabbi részeire, és kivágom szálas cédrusait, ékes ciprusfáit, és eljutok legmagasabb hegyi lakóhelyére, legsűrűbb szálerdejébe is.

Követeid által gúnyoltad az Urat, és mondád: Szekereim sokaságával meghágom a hegyek magasságait, a Libánon oldalait, és levágom magas czédrusait, legfelségesebb cziprusfáit, és bemegyek csúcsának lakóhelyébe, kertes erdejébe.

By thy messengers thou hast reproached the LORD, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel.

Prin solii tăi ai batjocorit pe Domnul şi ai zis: „Cu mulţimea carelor mele am suit vârful munţilor, coastele Libanului! Voi tăia cei mai înalţi cedri ai lui, cei mai frumoşi chiparoşi ai lui şi voi atinge creasta lui cea mai înaltă, pădurea lui care este ca o grădină de poame;

By your messengers you have mocked the Lord, and you have said, ‘With my many chariots I have gone up the heights of the mountains, to the far recesses of Lebanon; I felled its tallest cedars, its choicest cypresses; I entered its farthest lodging place, its most fruitful forest.

Kutat ástam, és mások vizét ittam, és kiszárítom lépteimmel Egyiptom folyójának minden ágát.

Ástam és ittam idegen vizeket, és kiszárítom lábaim talpával Égyiptom minden folyóvizét.

I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of besieged places.

I dug wells and drank foreign waters, and I dried up with the sole of my foot all the streams of Egypt.’

Tán nem hallottad? Régen megcsináltam, ősidők óta elterveztem ezt! Most csak véghezvittem, hogy puszta kőhalmokká dőljenek össze az erős városok.

Avagy nem hallottad? Régen megcsináltam, ős időktől elvégeztem ezt! Most [csak] véghezvittem, hogy puszta kőhalmokká döntsd össze az erős városokat;

Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps.

“Have you not heard that I determined it long ago? I planned from days of old what now I bring to pass, that you should turn fortified cities into heaps of ruins,

Hogy lakóinak ereje megfogyatkozzon, megromoljon; megszégyenüljenek, és olyanok legyenek, mint a mező füve, a fiatal paréj, a háztető füve és mint a kalászhajtás előtt elszáradt gabona.

És hogy a benne lakók erejökben megfogyatkozzanak, megrontassanak és megszégyenüljenek, és olyanok legyenek mint a mező füve, fiatal paréj, a háztető füve és mint a kalászhajtás előtt elszáradt gabona.

Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the house tops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.

Locuitorii lor sunt neputincioşi, îngroziţi şi înmărmuriţi; au ajuns ca iarba de pe câmp şi ca verdeaţa fragedă, ca iarba de pe acoperişuri şi ca grâul care se usucă înainte de a-i da spicul.

while their inhabitants, shorn of strength, are dismayed and confounded, and have become like plants of the field and like tender grass, like grass on the housetops, blighted before it is grown.

Ismerem ülésedet, járásodat-kelésedet és ellenem való tombolásodat.

But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.

“But I know your sitting down and your going out and coming in, and your raging against me.

Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.

Acesta să-ţi fie semnul: Anul acesta veţi mânca ce creşte de la sine, şi al doilea an ce va răsări din rădăcinile rămase; dar în al treilea an veţi semăna, veţi secera, veţi sădi vii şi veţi mânca din rodul lor.

“And this shall be the sign for you: this year eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs of the same. Then in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

És aki megmenekült és megszabadult Júda házából, az gyökeret ver lenn, és gyümölcsöt terem fenn.

For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Căci din Ierusalim va ieşi o rămăşiţă, şi din muntele Sionului cei scăpaţi. Iată ce va face râvna Domnului oştirilor.”

For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the LORD will do this.

Azért azt mondja az ÚR Asszíria királya felől: Nem jön be ebbe a városba, és nyilat sem lő bele, és felvértezett emberek sem ostromolják azt, sáncot sem ás mellette.

Azért azt mondja az Úr Assiria királya felől: Be nem jő e városba, és nyilat sem lő bele, sem paizs nem ostromolja azt, sem sánczot nem ás mellette.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.

De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul asupra împăratului Asiriei: „Nu va intra în cetatea aceasta, nici nu va arunca săgeţi în ea, nu va sta înaintea ei cu scuturi şi nu va ridica întărituri de şanţuri împotriva ei.

“Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there, or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it.

Azon az úton tér vissza, amelyen jött, de ebbe a városba nem jön be, azt mondja az ÚR.

Azon az úton, a melyen jött, tér vissza, de e városba be nem jő, azt mondja az Úr.

By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.

Se va întoarce pe drumul pe care a venit şi nu va intra în cetatea aceasta, zice Domnul.

By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, declares the LORD.

Megoltalmazom e várost, hogy megtartsam, érettem és Dávidért, az én szolgámért.”

For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

Még azon az éjszakán kijött az ÚR angyala, és levágott az asszírok táborából száznyolcvanötezret, és mikor korán reggel fölkeltek, íme, mindenütt holttestek hevertek.

És azon az éjszakán kijött az Úr angyala, és levágott az Assiriabeli táborban száznyolczvanötezeret, és mikor jó reggel felkeltek, ímé mindenütt holttestek [hevertek.]

And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

În noaptea aceea, a ieşit îngerul Domnului şi a ucis în tabăra asirienilor o sută optzeci şi cinci de mii de oameni. Şi când s-au sculat dimineaţa, iată că toţi erau nişte trupuri moarte.

And that night the angel of the LORD went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

Ekkor Szanhérib, Asszíria királya elindult, visszatért Ninivébe, és ott maradt.

És elindult, és elment, és visszafordult Sénakhérib, Assiria királya, és Ninivében maradt.

So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

Atunci Sanherib, împăratul Asiriei, şi-a ridicat tabăra, a plecat şi s-a întors; şi a locuit la Ninive.

Then Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went home and lived at Nineveh.

Egyszer aztán, mikor istenének, Niszróknak a templomában imádkozott, fiai, Adrammelek és Szárecer levágták karddal, maguk pedig elmenekültek Arárát földjére. Utána fia, Észarhaddón lett a király.

És lőn, mikor ő a Nisróknak, az ő Istenének templomában imádkozék, Adramélek és Sarézer, az ő fiai, levágták őt fegyverrel: magok pedig elszaladtak az Ararát földébe, és az ő fia, Esárhaddon uralkodék helyette.

And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

Şi, pe când se închina în casa dumnezeului său, Nisroc, Adramelec şi Şareţer, fiii săi, l-au ucis cu sabia şi au fugit în ţara Ararat. Şi, în locul lui, a domnit fiul său Esar-Hadon.

And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword and escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place.
