Abban az időben halálosan megbetegedett Ezékiás. Ézsaiás próféta, Ámóc fia elment hozzá, és azt mondta neki: Azt mondja az ÚR: Rendelkezz a házadról, mert meghalsz, nem maradsz életben!

In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

În vremea aceea, Ezechia a fost bolnav pe moarte. Prorocul Isaia, fiul lui Amoţ, a venit la el şi i-a zis: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Rânduieşte ce ai de rânduit casei tale, căci vei muri şi nu vei mai trăi.”

In those days Hezekiah became sick and was at the point of death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die; you shall not recover.’”

Ó, URam, emlékezzél meg róla, hogy hűséggel és feddhetetlen szívvel jártam előtted, és azt cselekedtem, ami jó volt a szemedben. És nagyon sírt Ezékiás.

I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

“Now, O LORD, please remember how I have walked before you in faithfulness and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

Menj vissza, és mondd meg Ezékiásnak, az én népem fejedelmének: „Azt mondja az ÚR, Dávidnak, a te atyádnak Istene: Meghallgattam imádságodat, láttam könnyhullatásodat. Íme, meggyógyítalak: harmadnapra fölmész az ÚR házába.

Menj vissza és mondd meg Ezékiásnak, az én népem fejedelmének: Azt mondja az Úr, Dávidnak, a te atyádnak Istene: Meghallgattam a te imádságodat, láttam a te könyhullatásidat, ímé én meggyógyítlak téged, harmadnapra felmégy az Úr házába;

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

„Întoarce-te şi spune lui Ezechia, căpetenia poporului Meu: „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul tatălui tău David: „Ţi-am auzit rugăciunea şi ţi-am văzut lacrimile. Iată că te voi face sănătos; a treia zi, te vei sui la Casa Domnului.

“Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people, Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD,

Életedet tizenöt évvel meghosszabbítom, és megszabadítlak téged és e várost Asszíria királyának kezéből. Megoltalmazom e várost énértem és Dávidért, az én szolgámért.”

És a te idődet tizenöt esztendővel meghosszabbítom, és megszabadítlak téged és e várost Assiria királyának kezéből, és megoltalmazom e várost én érettem és Dávidért, az én szolgámért,

And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

Voi mai adăuga cincisprezece ani la zilele tale. Te voi izbăvi, pe tine şi cetatea aceasta, din mâna împăratului Asiriei şi voi ocroti cetatea aceasta, din pricina Mea şi din pricina robului Meu David.”

and I will add fifteen years to your life. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city for my own sake and for my servant David’s sake.”

And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

And Isaiah said, “Bring a cake of figs. And let them take and lay it on the boil, that he may recover.”

Ezékiás azt kérdezte Ézsaiástól: Mi lesz a jele, hogy meggyógyít az ÚR, és hogy harmadnapra fölmehetek az ÚR házába?

És mikor azt kérdezé Ezékiás Ésaiástól: Mi lesz a jele, hogy meggyógyít engem az Úr, és hogy harmadnapra felmehetek az Úr házába?

And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?

Ezechia zisese lui Isaia: „După care semn voi cunoaşte că mă va vindeca Domnul şi că mă voi sui a treia zi la Casa Domnului?”

And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the LORD on the third day?”

Ézsaiás így felelt: Ez legyen neked a jel az ÚRtól, hogy ő megcselekszi ezt a dolgot, amelyről szólt neked: előremenjen-e az árnyék tíz fokkal, vagy visszatérjen tíz fokkal?

And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?

Şi Isaia a zis: „Iată, din partea Domnului, semnul după care vei cunoaşte că Domnul va împlini cuvântul pe care l-a rostit: „Cum vrei: să treacă umbra peste zece trepte înainte sau să dea înapoi cu zece trepte?”

And Isaiah said, “This shall be the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he has promised: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?”

Ezékiás így felelt: Könnyű az árnyéknak tíz fokkal megnyúlnia; ne úgy legyen, hanem menjen vissza az árnyék tíz fokkal!

És felele Ezékiás: Könnyű az árnyéknak tíz grádicscsal alábbszállani. Ne úgy, hanem menjen hátra az árnyék tíz grádicscsal.

And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.

Ezechia a răspuns: „Nu este mare lucru ca umbra să treacă înainte peste zece trepte; ci mai bine să se dea înapoi cu zece trepte.”

And Hezekiah answered, “It is an easy thing for the shadow to lengthen ten steps. Rather let the shadow go back ten steps.”

Ekkor Ézsaiás próféta könyörgött az ÚRhoz, és ő visszatérítette tíz fokkal az árnyékot Áház napóráján azokon a fokokon, amelyeken már túlhaladt.

És könyörgött Ésaiás próféta az Úrhoz, és visszatéríté az árnyékot Akház napóráján, azokon a grádicsokon, a melyeken már aláment volt, tíz grádicscsal.

And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

Atunci Isaia, prorocul, s-a rugat Domnului, şi Domnul a dat cu zece trepte înapoi umbra din locul în care se coborâse pe cadranul soarelui lui Ahaz.

And Isaiah the prophet called to the LORD, and he brought the shadow back ten steps, by which it had gone down on the steps of Ahaz.

Ebben az időben Meródak-Baladán, Baladánnak, a babilóniai királynak fia levelet és ajándékokat küldött Ezékiásnak, mert meghallotta, hogy beteg volt.

Ebben az időben küldött Berodákh Baladán, Baladánnak, a babilóniai királynak fia levelet és ajándékokat Ezékiásnak; mert meghallotta, hogy Ezékiás beteg volt.

At that time Berodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

În acelaşi timp, Berodac-Baladan, fiul lui Baladan, împăratul Babilonului, a trimis o scrisoare şi un dar lui Ezechia, căci auzise de boala lui Ezechia.

At that time Merodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent envoys with letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been sick.

Ezékiás meghallgatta őket, és megmutatta nekik egész kincsestárát, az ezüstöt, az aranyat, a fűszeres balzsamot, a drága kenetet, fegyvertárát és mindent, ami csak található volt a kincstáraiban, nem volt semmi a házában és az egész birodalmában, amit meg ne mutatott volna Ezékiás.

És meghallgatá őket Ezékiás, és megmutatta nékik az ő egész kincsesházát, az ezüstöt, az aranyat, a fűszerszámokat, a drága kenetet és az ő fegyveres házát és mindent, a mi csak találtatott az ő kincstáraiban, és nem volt semmi az ő házában és egész birodalmában, a mit meg nem mutatott volna Ezékiás.

And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.

Ezechia a ascultat pe soli şi le-a arătat locul unde erau lucrurile lui de preţ, argintul şi aurul, mirodeniile şi untdelemnul cel scump, casa lui cu arme şi tot ce se afla în vistieriile lui: n-a fost nimic pe care să nu li-l fi arătat Ezechia în casa lui şi în toate moşiile lui.

And Hezekiah welcomed them, and he showed them all his treasure house, the silver, the gold, the spices, the precious oil, his armory, all that was found in his storehouses. There was nothing in his house or in all his realm that Hezekiah did not show them.

Ekkor Ézsaiás próféta elment Ezékiás királyhoz, és megkérdezte tőle: Mit mondtak ezek a férfiak, és honnan jöttek hozzád? Ezékiás így felelt: Messze földről, Babilóniából jöttek.

Ekkor jött Ésaiás próféta Ezékiás királyhoz, és monda néki: Mit mondtak ezek a férfiak, és honnét jöttek hozzád? És felele Ezékiás: Messze földről jöttek, Babilóniából.

Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country, even from Babylon.

Prorocul Isaia a venit în urmă la împăratul Ezechia şi i-a zis: „Ce au zis oamenii aceia şi de unde au venit la tine?” Ezechia a răspuns: „Au venit dintr-o ţară depărtată, din Babilon.”

Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and said to him, “What did these men say? And from where did they come to you?” And Hezekiah said, “They have come from a far country, from Babylon.”

Ő megkérdezte: Mit láttak a házadban? Ezékiás így felelt: Mindent láttak, ami csak házamban van, és semmi nincs kincstáramban, amit meg ne mutattam volna nekik.

És monda: Mit láttak a te házadban? Felele Ezékiás: Mindent láttak, a mi csak van az én házamban, és nem volt semmi az én tárházamban, a mit nékik meg ne mutattam volna.

And he said, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All the things that are in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.

Isaia a mai zis: „Ce au văzut în casa ta?” Ezechia a răspuns: „Au văzut tot ce este în casa mea: n-a fost nimic în vistieriile mele pe care să nu li-l fi arătat.”

He said, “What have they seen in your house?” And Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing in my storehouses that I did not show them.”

And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.

Atunci Isaia a zis lui Ezechia: „Ascultă cuvântul Domnului!

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD:

Íme, eljön az idő, amikor mindazt, ami házadban van, és amit mindmáig gyűjtöttek atyáid, elviszik Babilóniába, és semmi sem marad meg. Ezt mondja az ÚR.

Ímé eljő az idő, a mikor mindaz, a mi a te házadban van, és a mit eltettek a te atyáid e mai napig, elvitetik Babilóniába, és semmi sem marad meg, azt mondja az Úr.

Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

„Iată că vor veni vremuri când vor duce în Babilon tot ce este în casa ta şi ce au strâns părinţii tăi până în ziua de azi; nu va rămâne nimic – zice Domnul. –

Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left, says the LORD.

Utódaid közül is, születendő fiaid közül is elhurcolnak némelyeket, és udvari szolgák lesznek a babilóniai király udvarában.

És a te fiaid közül is, a kik tőled származnak és születnek, elhurczoltatnak és udvariszolgák lesznek a babilóniai király udvarában.

And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.

Şi vor lua din fiii tăi, care vor ieşi din tine, pe care-i vei naşte, şi-i vor face fameni slujitori în casa împăratului Babilonului.”

And some of your own sons, who will come from you, whom you will father, shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

Ezékiás pedig azt mondta Ézsaiásnak: Jó az ÚR beszéde, amelyet elmondtál. És hozzátette: Nem csupa jóság-e, ha békesség és hűség lesz az én napjaimban, amíg élek?

Ezékiás pedig monda Ésaiásnak: Jó az Úr beszéde, a melyet szólál: És monda: Nem [merő jóság-é], ha békesség és hűség lesz az én napjaimban?

Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days?

Ezechia a răspuns lui Isaia: „Cuvântul Domnului, pe care l-ai rostit, este bun.” Şi a adăugat: „Căci va fi pace şi linişte în timpul vieţii mele!”

Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the LORD that you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “Why not, if there will be peace and security in my days?”

Ezékiás többi dolga pedig és minden bátor tette és hogy miként készíttette a tavat és a vízvezetéket, amelyekkel a vizet a városba vezette, vajon nincsen-e megírva Júda királyainak krónikáskönyvében?

Ezékiásnak egyéb dolgai pedig és minden erőssége, és hogy miképen csinálta a tavat és a vízcsöveket, a melyekkel a vizet a városba vezette, vajjon nincsenek-é megírva a Júda királyainak krónika- könyvében?

And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

The rest of the deeds of Hezekiah and all his might and how he made the pool and the conduit and brought water into the city, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

És elaludt Ezékiás, és atyáihoz tért, és utána fia, Manassé lett a király.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and Manasseh his son reigned in his place.
