Azután Salamon sógorságot szerzett a fáraóval, az egyiptomi királlyal. Elvette a fáraó leányát, és Dávid városába hozta, míg be nem fejezte a maga palotájának és az ÚR házának, valamint Jeruzsálem körül a kőfalaknak az építését.

Sógorságot szerze azután Salamon a Faraóval, az Égyiptombeli királylyal; és elvevé a Faraó leányát, és hozá Dávidnak városába, míg elvégezé az ő házának és az Úr házának építését és Jeruzsálemnek kőfalát köröskörül.

And Solomon made affinity with Pharaoh king of Egypt, and took Pharaoh's daughter, and brought her into the city of David, until he had made an end of building his own house, and the house of the LORD, and the wall of Jerusalem round about.

Solomon s-a încuscrit cu faraon, împăratul Egiptului. A luat de nevastă pe fata lui faraon şi a adus-o în cetatea lui David, până şi-a isprăvit de zidit casa lui, casa Domnului şi zidul dimprejurul Ierusalimului.

Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt. He took Pharaoh’s daughter and brought her into the city of David until he had finished building his own house and the house of the LORD and the wall around Jerusalem.

A nép akkor még a magas helyeken áldozott, mert addig még nem építettek házat az ÚR nevének.

De a nép áldozik vala a magas helyeken; mert nem építtetett vala ház az Úr nevének mind ez ideig.

Only the people sacrificed in high places, because there was no house built unto the name of the LORD, until those days.

Poporul nu aducea jertfe decât pe înălţimi, căci până pe vremea aceasta nu se zidise încă o casă în Numele Domnului.

The people were sacrificing at the high places, however, because no house had yet been built for the name of the LORD.

Salamon szerette az URat, és apja, Dávid parancsai szerint járt, kivéve, hogy a magas helyeken áldozott, és ott tömjénezett.

Szereté pedig Salamon az Urat, járván Dávidnak, az ő atyjának parancsolatiban, kivéve, hogy a magas helyeken áldozott, és ott tömjénezett.

And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.

Solomon iubea pe Domnul şi se ţinea de obiceiurile tatălui său, David. Numai că aducea jertfe şi tămâie pe înălţimi.

Amikor a király Gibeónba ment, hogy ott áldozzék, mert ott volt a nagy magaslat, és Salamon egyszer azon az oltáron égőáldozatul ezer állatot áldozott,

És mikor Gibeonba ment a király, hogy ott áldozzék, mert ott volt a nagy magaslat, és Salamon azon az oltáron áldozott égőáldozatul ezer barmot:

And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.

Împăratul s-a dus la Gabaon să aducă jertfe acolo, căci era cea mai însemnată înălţime. Solomon a adus o mie de arderi de tot pe altar.

And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place. Solomon used to offer a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.

azon az éjszakán Gibeónban Salamonnak megjelent az ÚR álmában, és azt mondta Isten: Kérj, amit akarsz, és megadom neked!

Megjelenék Gibeonban az Úr Salamonnak azon éjjel álmában, és monda az Isten: Kérj, a mit [akarsz,] hogy adjak néked.

In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.

La Gabaon, Domnul S-a arătat în vis lui Solomon noaptea şi Dumnezeu i-a zis: „Cere ce vrei să-ţi dau.”

At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, “Ask what I shall give you.”

Salamon erre azt felelte: Szolgáddal, az én apámmal, Dáviddal nagy irgalmasságot cselekedtél, ahogy ő is hűségesen, igazán és egyenes szívvel járt előtted. Ezt a nagy irgalmasságot megtartottad iránta, és fiút adtál neki, aki az ő trónján ül ma is.

És monda Salamon: Te a te szolgáddal, az én atyámmal, Dáviddal nagy irgalmasságot cselekedtél, a miképen [ő is] járt előtted híven, igazán és hozzád egyenes szívvel, és megtartottad néki ezt a nagy irgalmasságot, hogy néki fiat adtál, a ki az ő királyi székében ül, a mint e mai napon megtetszik.

And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

Solomon a răspuns: „Tu ai arătat o mare bunăvoinţă faţă de robul Tău David, tatăl meu, pentru că umbla înaintea Ta în credincioşie, în dreptate şi în curăţie de inimă faţă de Tine; i-ai păstrat această mare bunăvoinţă şi i-ai dat un fiu, care şade pe scaunul lui de domnie, cum se vede astăzi.

And Solomon said, “You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.

És most, ó, én URam, Istenem, királlyá tetted szolgádat apám, Dávid után. De én még egészen fiatal vagyok, és nem tudom, hogyan kell forgolódni.

És most, óh én Uram Istenem, te tetted a te szolgádat királylyá, Dávid, az én atyám helyett. Én pedig kicsiny gyermek vagyok, nem tudok kimenni és bejönni.

And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

Acum Doamne Dumnezeul meu, Tu ai pus pe robul Tău să împărăţească în locul tatălui meu, David; şi eu nu sunt decât un tânăr, nu sunt încercat.

And now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in.

És szolgád a te néped között van, amelyet te választottál magadnak. Nagy nép ez, amely meg sem számlálható, föl sem jegyezhető a sokasága miatt.

És a te szolgád a te néped között van, a melyet te [magadnak] választottál, nagy nép ez, a mely meg nem számláltathatik, meg sem írattathatik a sokaság miatt.

And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.

Robul Tău este în mijlocul poporului pe care l-ai ales, popor foarte mare, care nu poate fi nici socotit, nici numărat, din pricina mulţimii lui.

And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude.

Adj azért szolgádnak értelmes szívet, hogy tudja igazgatni népedet, és választást tudjon tenni a jó és a gonosz között. Mert ki tudná kormányozni ezt a te nagy népedet?

Adj azért a te szolgádnak értelmes szívet, hogy tudja ítélni a te népedet, és tudjon választást tenni a jó és gonosz között; mert kicsoda kormányozhatja ezt a te nagy népedet?

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

Dă, dar, robului Tău o inimă pricepută, ca să judece pe poporul Tău, să deosebească binele de rău! Căci cine ar putea să judece pe poporul Tău, pe poporul acesta aşa de mare la număr!?”

Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”

Tetszett ez a beszéd az ÚRnak, hogy Salamon ilyen dolgot kért.

És tetszék e beszéd az Úrnak, hogy Salamon ilyen dolgot kért.

And the speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing.

Cererea aceasta a lui Solomon a plăcut Domnului.

It pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked this.

Ezért azt mondta neki Isten: Mivel ezt kérted tőlem, és nem kértél magadnak hosszú életet, sem gazdagságot, sem pedig nem kérted ellenségeid életét, hanem bölcsességet kértél az ítélettételre:

Monda azért az Isten néki: Mivelhogy ezt kérted tőlem, és nem kértél magadnak hosszú életet, sem nem kértél gazdagságot, sem pedig nem kérted a te ellenségidnek lelkét; hanem bölcseséget kértél az ítélettételre:

And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

Şi Dumnezeu a zis: „Fiindcă lucrul acesta îl ceri, fiindcă nu ceri pentru tine nici viaţă lungă, nici bogăţii, nici moartea vrăjmaşilor tăi, ci ceri pricepere, ca să faci dreptate,

And God said to him, “Because you have asked this, and have not asked for yourself long life or riches or the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern what is right,

íme, beszéded szerint cselekszem. Íme, bölcs és értelmes szívet adok neked, hogy hozzád hasonló nem volt előtted, és nem támad utánad sem olyan, mint te.

Ímé a te beszéded szerint cselekszem, ímé adok néked bölcs és értelmes szívet, úgy hogy hozzád hasonló nem volt te előtted, és utánad sem támad olyan, mint te.

Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

voi face după cuvântul tău. Îţi voi da o inimă înţeleaptă şi pricepută, aşa cum n-a fost nimeni înaintea ta şi nu se va scula nimeni niciodată ca tine.

behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.

Sőt még amit nem kértél, azt is megadom neked: gazdagságot és dicsőséget. A királyok között nem lesz hozzád hasonló senki egész életed folyamán.

Sőt még a mit nem kértél, azt is megadom néked, gazdagságot és dicsőséget: úgy hogy a királyok között nem lesz hozzád hasonló senki minden te idődben.

And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

Mai mult, îţi voi da şi ce n-ai cerut: bogăţii şi slavă, aşa încât în tot timpul vieţii tale nu va fi niciun împărat ca tine.

I give you also what you have not asked, both riches and honor, so that no other king shall compare with you, all your days.

Ha az én utaimon jársz, ahogy apád, Dávid, és megőrzöd végzéseimet és parancsolataimat, akkor meghosszabbítom életed idejét.

És ha az én útaimon járándasz, megőrizvén az én végzéseimet és parancsolatimat, a miképen járt a te atyád, Dávid: meghosszabbítom életed idejét.

And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days.

Şi dacă vei umbla în căile Mele, păzind legile şi poruncile Mele, cum a făcut David, tatăl tău, îţi voi lungi zilele.”

And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

Amikor felébredt Salamon, íme, álom volt. És visszament Jeruzsálembe, az ÚR szövetségládája elé állt, és égőáldozatokat mutatott be, hálaáldozatokat készített, és nagy lakomát szerzett minden szolgájának.

És mikor felserkent Salamon, ímé álom volt. És méne Jeruzsálembe, és álla az Úr szövetségének ládája elé, és áldozék egészen égőáldozatokat, és készíte hálaáldozatokat, és szerze nagy lakomát minden szolgáinak.

And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.

Solomon s-a deşteptat. Acesta a fost visul. Solomon s-a întors la Ierusalim şi s-a înfăţişat înaintea chivotului legământului Domnului. A adus arderi de tot şi jertfe de mulţumire şi a dat un ospăţ tuturor slujitorilor lui.

And Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream. Then he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and offered up burnt offerings and peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants.

Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.

Then two prostitutes came to the king and stood before him.

Azt mondta az egyik asszony: Kérlek, uram, én és ez az asszony egy házban laktunk, és szültem nála abban a házban.

And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.

Una din femei a zis: „Rogu-mă, domnul meu, eu şi femeia aceasta locuiam în aceeaşi casă, şi am născut lângă ea în casă.

The one woman said, “Oh, my lord, this woman and I live in the same house, and I gave birth to a child while she was in the house.

Szülésem után harmadnap ez az asszony is szült. Együtt voltunk, senki idegen nem volt velünk a házban, csak mi ketten voltunk ott.

És harmadnappal az én szülésem után, ez az asszony is szült, és együtt valánk, senki idegen nem volt velünk a házban, hanem csak mi ketten valánk abban a házban.

And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.

După trei zile, femeia aceasta a născut şi ea. Locuiam împreună, niciun străin nu era cu noi în casă. Nu eram decât noi amândouă.

Then on the third day after I gave birth, this woman also gave birth. And we were alone. There was no one else with us in the house; only we two were in the house.

Ennek az asszonynak azonban éjszaka meghalt a fia, mert ráfeküdt.

És ennek az asszonynak éjszaka meghalt a fia: mert ráfeküdt.

And this woman's child died in the night; because she overlaid it.

Peste noapte, fiul acestei femei a murit, pentru că se culcase peste el.

And this woman’s son died in the night, because she lay on him.

Éjfélkor fölkelt, és elvitte az én fiamat mellőlem, mert szolgálóleányod aludt, és azt maga mellé fektette, az ő halott fiát pedig énmellém.

És felkelt éjfélkor, és elvitte az én fiamat mellőlem, mert a te szolgálóleányod aludt, és azt maga mellé fekteté, míg az ő meghalt fiát én mellém fektette.

And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

Ea s-a sculat pe la mijlocul nopţii, a luat pe fiul meu de lângă mine, pe când dormea roaba ta, şi l-a culcat la sânul ei: iar pe fiul ei, care murise, l-a culcat la sânul meu.

And she arose at midnight and took my son from beside me, while your servant slept, and laid him at her breast, and laid her dead son at my breast.

Mikor pedig hajnalban fölkeltem, hogy megszoptassam a fiamat, íme, halott volt! De reggel jól megnézegettem, és láttam, hogy az nem az én fiam, akit én szültem.

Mikor pedig hajnalban felkeltem, hogy megszoptassam az én fiamat: ímé, megholt; de reggel jól megnézegetvén, látám, hogy az nem az én fiam, a kit én szültem.

And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.

Dimineaţa, m-am sculat să dau ţâţă copilului; şi iată că era mort. M-am uitat cu luare aminte la el dimineaţa; şi iată că nu era fiul meu, pe care-l născusem.”

When I rose in the morning to nurse my child, behold, he was dead. But when I looked at him closely in the morning, behold, he was not the child that I had borne.”

A másik asszony pedig azt mondta: Nem úgy van, az én fiam az, aki él, és a te fiad az, aki meghalt. Amaz viszont ezt mondta: Nem igaz, hanem a te fiad halt meg, és az én fiam él! Így perlekedtek a király előtt.

Monda pedig a másik asszony: Nem úgy van, az én fiam az, a ki él, a te fiad pedig az, a ki meghalt. Amaz viszont monda: Nem, hanem a te fiad az, a ki meghalt, és az én fiam az, a ki él. És ekképen versengettek a király előtt.

And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.

Cealaltă femeie a zis: „Ba nu; fiul meu este cel viu, iar fiul tău cel mort.” Dar cea dintâi a răspuns: „Ba nicidecum! Fiul tău este cel mort, iar fiul meu este cel viu.” Aşa au vorbit ele înaintea împăratului.

But the other woman said, “No, the living child is mine, and the dead child is yours.” The first said, “No, the dead child is yours, and the living child is mine.” Thus they spoke before the king.

Akkor azt mondta a király: Ez azt mondja: „Ez az én fiam, aki él, és a te fiad az, aki meghalt.” Ő meg azt mondja: „Nem igaz: a te fiad halt meg, és az én fiam él.”

Akkor monda a király: Ez azt mondja: Ez az én fiam, a ki él, és a te fiad az, a ki meghalt; amaz meg ezt mondja: Semmiképen nem, hanem a te fiad az, a ki meghalt, és az én fiam az, a ki él.

Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living.

Împăratul a zis: „Una zice: „Fiul meu este cel viu, iar fiul tău este cel mort.” Şi cealaltă zice: „Ba nicidecum! Fiul tău este cel mort, iar fiul meu este cel viu.”

Then the king said, “The one says, ‘This is my son that is alive, and your son is dead’; and the other says, ‘No; but your son is dead, and my son is the living one.’”

Azért ezt mondta a király: Hozzatok nekem egy kardot! Amikor odahozták a kardot a király elé,

És monda a király: Hozzatok nékem kardot! És mikor oda hozák a kardot a király elé,

And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.

Apoi a adăugat: „Aduceţi-mi o sabie.” Au adus o sabie înaintea împăratului.

And the king said, “Bring me a sword.” So a sword was brought before the king.

így szólt a király: Vágjátok ketté az élő gyermeket, és adjátok az egyik részt az egyiknek, a másikat pedig a másiknak.

Monda a király: Vágjátok két részre az eleven gyermeket, és adjátok az egyik részt egyiknek, a másikat pedig a másiknak.

And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

Şi împăratul a zis: „Tăiaţi în două copilul cel viu şi daţi o jumătate uneia şi o jumătate celeilalte.”

And the king said, “Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one and half to the other.”

Ekkor azt mondta a királynak az élő gyermek anyja, mivel megindult a szíve a gyermekén: Kérlek, uram, adjátok neki az élő gyermeket, csak meg ne öljétek. A másik azonban ezt mondta: Se az enyém, se a tied ne legyen. Vágjátok ketté!

Ekkor monda az az asszony, a kié vala az élő gyermek, a királynak, mert megindult szíve gyermekén: Kérlek, uram, adjátok néki az élő gyermeket, és ne öljétek meg őt. A másik pedig azt mondja vala. Se enyim, se tied ne legyen; vágjátok ketté.

Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

Atunci femeia al cărei copil era viu a simţit că i se rupe inima pentru copil şi a zis împăratului: „Ah! domnul meu, dă-i mai bine ei copilul cel viu şi nu-l omorî!” Dar cealaltă a zis: „Să nu fie nici al meu, nici al tău; tăiaţi-l!”

Then the woman whose son was alive said to the king, because her heart yearned for her son, “Oh, my lord, give her the living child, and by no means put him to death.” But the other said, “He shall be neither mine nor yours; divide him.”

Erre megszólalt a király, és ezt mondta: Adjátok az előbbinek az élő gyermeket és ne öljétek meg, mert ő az anyja.

Akkor felele a király, és monda: Adjátok amannak az élő gyermeket, és meg ne öljétek azt, [mert] az az ő anyja.

Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.

Şi împăratul, luând cuvântul, a zis: „Daţi celei dintâi copilul cel viu şi nu-l omorâţi. Ea este mama lui.”

Then the king answered and said, “Give the living child to the first woman, and by no means put him to death; she is his mother.”

Amikor egész Izráel hallotta ezt az ítéletet, amelyet a király hozott, félték a királyt, mert látták, hogy Isten bölcsessége van a szívében az ítélettételre.

És mikor hallotta az egész Izráel ezt az ítéletet, a melyet tett vala a király, félék a királynak orczáját, mert látták, hogy Isten bölcsesége van az ő szívében az ítélettételre.

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.

Tot Israelul a auzit de hotărârea pe care o rostise împăratul. Şi s-au temut de împărat, căci au văzut că înţelepciunea lui Dumnezeu era în el, povăţuindu-l în judecăţile lui.

And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.
