Aháb elmondta Jezábelnek mindazt, amit Illés cselekedett, hogy hogyan ölte meg fegyverrel az összes prófétát.

És Akháb elbeszélé Jézabelnek mindazokat, a melyeket Illés cselekedett és a többek között, hogy hogyan ölte meg mind a prófétákat fegyverrel.

And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

Erre Jezábel követet küldött Illéshez ezzel az üzenettel: Úgy bánjanak velem az istenek, és úgy segítsenek, ha holnap ilyenkorra azt nem teszem veled, amit te cselekedtél azoknak az életével egytől egyig.

És követet külde Jézabel Illéshez, mondván: Ezt cselekedjék velem az istenek és úgy segéljenek, ha holnap ilyenkor úgy nem cselekszem a te életeddel, mint a hogy [te cselekedtél] azoknak életekkel mind egyig.

Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

Izabela a trimis un sol la Ilie, să-i spună: „Să mă pedepsească zeii cu toată asprimea lor, dacă mâine, la ceasul acesta, nu voi face cu viaţa ta ce ai făcut tu cu viaţa fiecăruia din ei.”

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.”

Amikor ezt megértette, fölkelt, elment, és vigyázott az életére. A júdabeli Beérsebába ment, és ott hagyta a szolgáját.

A mit mikor megértett, felkelvén elméne, [vigyázván] az ő életére. És méne Beersebába, a mely Júdában volt; és ott hagyá az ő szolgáját.

And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

Ilie, când a văzut lucrul acesta, s-a sculat şi a plecat, ca să-şi scape viaţa. A ajuns la Beer-Şeba, care ţine de Iuda, şi şi-a lăsat slujitorul acolo.

Then he was afraid, and he arose and ran for his life and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.

Ő pedig elment a pusztába egynapi járóföldre. Odaérve leült egy rekettyebokor alá, és könyörgött, hogy hadd haljon meg. Ezt mondta: Elég! Most, ó, URam, vedd el a lelkemet, mert nem vagyok jobb atyáimnál!

Ő pedig elméne a pusztába egynapi járó földre, és elmenvén leüle egy fenyőfa alá, és könyörgött, hogy [hadd] haljon meg, és monda: Elég! Most óh Uram, vedd el az én lelkemet; mert nem vagyok jobb az én atyáimnál!

But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

El s-a dus în pustiu unde, după un drum de o zi, a şezut sub un ienupăr şi dorea să moară, zicând: „Destul! Acum, Doamne, ia-mi sufletul, căci nu sunt mai bun decât părinţii mei.”

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he asked that he might die, saying, “It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers.”

Majd lefeküdt, és elaludt a rekettyebokor alatt. És íme, egy angyal érintette meg, és azt mondta neki: Kelj föl, egyél.

És lefeküvék és elaluvék a fenyőfa alatt. És ímé angyal illeté őt, és monda néki: Kelj fel, egyél.

And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.

S-a culcat şi a adormit sub un ienupăr. Şi iată, l-a atins un înger şi i-a zis: „Scoală-te şi mănâncă.”

And he lay down and slept under a broom tree. And behold, an angel touched him and said to him, “Arise and eat.”

Amikor körülnézett, íme, a fejénél egy forró kövön sült lángos és egy pohár víz volt. Akkor evett és ivott, és ismét lefeküdt.

És mikor körülnézett, ímé fejénél vala egy szén között [sült] pogácsa és egy pohár víz. És evék és ivék, és ismét lefeküvék.

And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.

El s-a uitat, şi la căpătâiul lui era o turtă coaptă pe nişte pietre încălzite şi un ulcior cu apă. A mâncat şi a băut, apoi s-a culcat din nou.

And he looked, and behold, there was at his head a cake baked on hot stones and a jar of water. And he ate and drank and lay down again.

És az ÚR angyala eljött másodszor is, megérintette, és azt mondta: Kelj föl, egyél, mert erőd fölött való utad van!

És az Úr angyala eljött másodszor is és megilleté őt, és monda: Kelj fel, egyél; mert erőd felett való utad van.

And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

Îngerul Domnului a venit a doua oară, l-a atins şi a zis: „Scoală-te şi mănâncă, fiindcă drumul pe care-l ai de făcut este prea lung pentru tine.”

And the angel of the LORD came again a second time and touched him and said, “Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you.”

Erre fölkelt, evett és ivott, és negyven nap és negyven éjjel ment annak az ételnek az erejével, egészen Isten hegyéig, a Hórebig.

És ő felkelt, és evett és ivott; és méne annak az ételnek erejével negyven nap és negyven éjjel egész az Isten hegyéig, Hórebig.

And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

El s-a sculat, a mâncat şi a băut; şi, cu puterea pe care i-a dat-o mâncarea aceasta, a mers patruzeci de zile şi patruzeci de nopţi până la muntele lui Dumnezeu, Horeb.

And he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mount of God.

Itt bement egy barlangba, és ott elaludt. Egyszer csak így szólt hozzá az ÚR szava: Mit csinálsz itt, Illés?

És beméne ott egy barlangba, és ott hála. És ímé lőn az Úrnak beszéde ő hozzá, és monda néki: Mit csinálsz itt Illés?

And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Şi acolo, Ilie a intrat într-o peşteră şi a rămas în ea peste noapte. Şi cuvântul Domnului i-a vorbit astfel: „Ce faci tu aici, Ilie?”

There he came to a cave and lodged in it. And behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Ő pedig azt felelte: Nagyon búsulok az ÚRért, a Seregek Istenéért, mert elhagyták szövetségedet Izráel fiai , lerombolták oltáraidat, prófétáidat pedig fegyverrel megölték. Csak én maradtam meg egyedül, de engem is halálra keresnek.

Ő pedig monda: Nagy búsulásom van az Úrért, a Seregek Istenéért; mert elhagyták a te szövetségedet az Izráel fiai, a te oltáraidat lerontották, és a te prófétáidat fegyverrel megölték, és csak én egyedül maradtam, és engem is halálra keresnek.

And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

El a răspuns: „Am fost plin de râvnă pentru Domnul Dumnezeul oştirilor; căci copiii lui Israel au părăsit legământul Tău, au sfărâmat altarele Tale şi au ucis cu sabia pe prorocii Tăi; am rămas numai eu singur, şi caută să-mi ia viaţa!”

He said, “I have been very jealous for the LORD, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.”

Az ÚR azt mondta: Jöjj ki, és állj meg ezen a hegyen az ÚR előtt. Íme, az ÚR fog itt elhaladni. És az ÚR előtt nagyon erős szél ment, amely megszaggatta a hegyeket, és meghasogatta a kősziklákat az ÚR előtt. De az ÚR nem volt abban a szélben. A szél után földindulás lett. De az ÚR nem volt a földindulásban sem.

És monda: Jőjj ki és állj meg [ezen] a hegyen, az Úr előtt. És ímé ott az Úr volt elmenendő. És az Úr előtt megyen vala nagy erős szél, a mely a hegyeket megszaggatta és meghasogatta a kősziklákat az Úr előtt; [de] az Úr nem [vala] abban a szélben. És a szél után földindulás lett; de az Úr nem [volt] a földindulásban sem.

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

Domnul i-a zis: „Ieşi şi stai pe munte înaintea Domnului!” Şi iată că Domnul a trecut pe lângă peşteră. Şi înaintea Domnului a trecut un vânt tare şi puternic, care despica munţii şi sfărâma stâncile. Domnul nu era în vântul acela. Şi după vânt, a venit un cutremur de pământ. Domnul nu era în cutremurul de pământ.

And he said, “Go out and stand on the mount before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

A földindulás után tűz jött. De nem volt az ÚR a tűzben sem. És a tűz után egy halk és szelíd hang hallatszott.

És a földindulás után tűz jöve, de nem [volt] az Úr a tűzben sem. És a tűz után [egy] halk és szelíd hang [hallatszék.]

And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Şi după cutremurul de pământ, a venit un foc: Domnul nu era în focul acela. Şi după foc, a venit un susur blând şi subţire.

And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.

Amikor Illés meghallotta ezt, befedte az arcát a palástjával, kiment, megállt a barlang bejáratában, és íme, egy hang szólt hozzá, amely ezt mondta: Mit csinálsz itt, Illés?

És mikor Illés ezt hallotta, befedé az ő arczát palástjával, és kimenvén, megálla a barlang ajtajában, és ímé szózat [lőn] ő hozzá, a mely ezt mondá: Mit csinálsz itt Illés?

And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Când l-a auzit Ilie, şi-a acoperit faţa cu mantaua, a ieşit şi a stat la gura peşterii. Şi un glas i-a vorbit, zicând: „Ce faci tu aici, Ilie?”

And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

Ő így felelt: Nagyon búsulok az ÚRért, a Seregek Istenéért, mert Izráel fiai elhagyták szövetségedet, lerombolták oltáraidat, és prófétáidat megölték fegyverrel. Csak én maradtam meg egyedül, de engem is halálra keresnek.

És ő felele: Nagy búsulásom van az Úrért, a Seregeknek Istenéért, mert az Izráel fiai elhagyták a te szövetségedet, lerontották a te oltáraidat, és a te prófétáidat megölték fegyverrel, és én egyedül maradtam, és engem is halálra keresnek.

And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

Ekkor az ÚR azt mondta neki: Menj el, térj vissza a te utadon a pusztán át Damaszkuszba, és amikor odaérsz, kend föl Hazáélt Arám királyává.

És monda az Úr néki: Menj el, térj vissza a te utadon a pusztán át Damaskusba, és mikor oda jutándasz, kenjed királylyá Hazáelt Siriában;

And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:

Domnul i-a zis: „Du-te, întoarce-te pe drumul tău prin pustiu până la Damasc; şi când vei ajunge, să ungi pe Hazael ca împărat al Siriei.

And the LORD said to him, “Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. And when you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.

Azután Jéhút, Nimsi fiát kend föl Izráel királyává, Elizeust pedig, az ábél-mehólái Sáfát fiát kend föl prófétává a magad helyébe.

És Jéhut, a Nimsi fiát kenjed királylyá Izráelben, és Elizeust, az Abelméholabeli Sáfát fiát pedig kenjed prófétává a te helyedbe.

And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

Să ungi şi pe Iehu, fiul lui Nimşi, ca împărat al lui Israel; şi să ungi pe Elisei, fiul lui Şafat, din Abel-Mehola, ca proroc în locul tău.

And Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint to be king over Israel, and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint to be prophet in your place.

És aki megmenekül Hazáél fegyverétől, azt Jéhú öli meg, és aki megmenekül Jéhú fegyverétől, azt Elizeus öli meg.

És lészen, hogy a ki megmenekedik Hazáel fegyverétől, azt Jéhu öli meg, és a ki megmenekedik a Jéhu fegyverétől, azt Elizeus öli meg.

And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

Şi se va întâmpla că, pe cel ce va scăpa de sabia lui Hazael îl va omorî Iehu; şi pe cel ce va scăpa de sabia lui Iehu îl va omorî Elisei.

And the one who escapes from the sword of Hazael shall Jehu put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha put to death.

De meghagyok Izráelben hétezer embert: minden térdet, amely nem hajolt meg a Baalnak, és minden szájat, amely nem csókolta meg azt.

De meghagyok Izráelben hétezer embert: minden térdet, mely meg nem hajolt a Baálnak, és minden ajkat, mely meg nem csókolta azt.

Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.

Dar voi lăsa în Israel şapte mii de bărbaţi, şi anume pe toţi cei ce nu şi-au plecat genunchii înaintea lui Baal şi a căror gură nu l-au sărutat.”

Yet I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.”

Amikor elment onnan, megtalálta Elizeust, Sáfát fiát, amint tizenkét iga ökörrel szántott, és ő maga a tizenkettedikkel volt. Illés odament hozzá, és ráterítette a palástját.

És ő elmenvén onnét, megtalálá Elizeust, a Sáfát fiát, a mint szántott tizenkét járom ökörrel, és ő maga a tizenkettedikkel volt; és Illés hozzá méne, és az ő palástját reá veté.

So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

Ilie a plecat de acolo şi a găsit pe Elisei, fiul lui Şafat, arând. Înaintea lui erau douăsprezece perechi de boi, şi el era cu a douăsprezecea. Ilie s-a apropiat de el şi şi-a aruncat mantaua pe el.

So he departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen in front of him, and he was with the twelfth. Elijah passed by him and cast his cloak upon him.

Erre az otthagyta az ökröket, Illés után futott, és azt mondta: Kérlek, hadd csókoljam meg apámat és anyámat, és azután követlek. Ő azt mondta: Menj, térj vissza; mert mit tettem neked?

És ő elhagyván az ökröket, Illés után futott, és monda: Kérlek hadd csókoljam meg az én atyámat és az én anyámat, és azután követlek. És monda: Menj, térj vissza; mert mit cselekedtem tenéked?

And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?

Elisei a părăsit boii, a alergat după Ilie şi a zis: „Lasă-mă să sărut pe tatăl meu şi pe mama mea şi te voi urma.” Ilie i-a răspuns: „Du-te, şi apoi întoarce-te: dar gândeşte-te la ce ţi-am făcut.”

And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said, “Let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.” And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?”

Ezután Elizeus otthagyta őt, vett egy pár ökröt, levágta azokat, és az ekéhez való szerszámokból tüzet rakva megfőzte húsukat, a népnek adta, és ettek. Majd fölkelt, követte Illést, és a szolgálatába állt.

És elmenvén ő tőle, vőn azután egy pár ökröt, és levágá azt, és az ekéhez való szerszámokból [tüzet rakván,] megfőzé azok húsát, és a népnek adá, és evének; és felkelvén, elméne Illés után, és szolgála néki.

And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.

După ce s-a depărtat de Ilie, s-a întors şi a luat o pereche de boi pe care i-a adus jertfă; cu uneltele boilor le-a fiert carnea şi a dat-o oamenilor s-o mănânce. Apoi s-a sculat, a urmat pe Ilie şi a fost în slujba lui.

And he returned from following him and took the yoke of oxen and sacrificed them and boiled their flesh with the yokes of the oxen and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and went after Elijah and assisted him.
