Sok idő elteltével, a harmadik esztendőben így szólt az ÚR szava Illéshez: Menj el, mutasd meg magadat Ahábnak, és esőt adok a föld színére!

És lőn sok idő multán, a harmadik esztendőben, az Úrnak beszéde Illéshez, mondván: Menj el, mutasd meg magadat Akhábnak, és esőt adok a föld színére.

And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

Au trecut multe zile, şi cuvântul Domnului a vorbit astfel lui Ilie, în al treilea an: „Du-te şi înfăţişează-te înaintea lui Ahab, ca să dau ploaie pe faţa pământului.”

After many days the word of the LORD came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth.”

Illés tehát elment, hogy megmutassa magát Ahábnak. Samáriában pedig nagy éhség volt.

És elméne Illés, hogy megmutassa magát Akhábnak. Nagy éhség volt pedig Samariában.

And Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria.

Şi Ilie s-a dus să se înfăţişeze înaintea lui Ahab. Era mare foamete în Samaria.

So Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. Now the famine was severe in Samaria.

Ekkor Aháb hívatta Óbadjáhút, a palota felügyelőjét. Óbadjáhú pedig igen félte az URat.

És Akháb hivatá Abdiást, a ki az ő házának gondviselője volt. (Abdiás pedig felette igen féli vala az Urat;

And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:

And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly,

Mert amikor Jezábel megölette az ÚR prófétáit, Óbadjáhú száz prófétát vett oltalmába, és ötvenenként elrejtette őket egy-egy barlangba, és ott táplálta őket kenyérrel és vízzel.

For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

De aceea, când a nimicit Izabela pe prorocii Domnului, Obadia a luat o sută de proroci, i-a ascuns câte cincizeci într-o peşteră şi i-a hrănit cu pâine şi cu apă. –

and when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)

Aháb azt mondta Óbadjáhúnak: Menj el mindenhova az országban a vizek forrásaihoz és a patakokhoz, hátha találunk egy kis füvet, hogy a lovakat és öszvéreket életben tarthassuk, és ne hagyjuk a jószágot mindenestül elpusztulni.

És monda Akháb Abdiásnak: Menj el az országba szerén-szerte a vizek forrásaihoz és a patakokhoz, hogyha valami füvet találhatnánk, hogy a lovakat és öszvéreket megtarthatnánk életben, és ne hagynánk a barmokat mindenestől elpusztulni.

And Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go into the land, unto all fountains of water, and unto all brooks: peradventure we may find grass to save the horses and mules alive, that we lose not all the beasts.

Ahab a zis lui Obadia: „Haidem prin ţară pe la toate izvoarele de apă şi pe la toate pârâurile; poate că vom găsi iarbă ca să păstrăm viaţa cailor şi catârilor, şi să n-avem nevoie să omorâm vitele.”

And Ahab said to Obadiah, “Go through the land to all the springs of water and to all the valleys. Perhaps we may find grass and save the horses and mules alive, and not lose some of the animals.”

Fölosztották tehát maguk között a földet, hogy ki hova menjen. Aháb egyedül ment az egyik úton, és Óbadjáhú is egyedül ment a másik úton.

Eloszták azért magok közt a földet, a melyen kiki elmenjen. Akháb egyedül ment az egyik úton, és Abdiás [is] egyedül ment a másik úton.

So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.

So they divided the land between them to pass through it. Ahab went in one direction by himself, and Obadiah went in another direction by himself.

Amint Óbadjáhú ment az úton, íme, szembetalálkozott Illéssel, és amikor fölismerte őt, arcra borult, és ezt mondta: Nem te vagy-e az, uram, Illés?

És mikor Abdiás az úton ment, ímé Illés előtalálá őt, és mikor felismerte őt, arczra borula és monda: Nem te vagy-é az, uram, Illés?

And as Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him: and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Art thou that my lord Elijah?

Pe când era Obadia pe drum, iată că l-a întâlnit Ilie. Obadia, cunoscându-l, a căzut cu faţa la pământ şi a zis: „Tu eşti, domnul meu Ilie?”

And as Obadiah was on the way, behold, Elijah met him. And Obadiah recognized him and fell on his face and said, “Is it you, my lord Elijah?”

And he answered him, I am: go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here.

And he answered him, “It is I. Go, tell your lord, ‘Behold, Elijah is here.’”

Ő pedig azt mondta: Mit vétettem ellened, hogy szolgádat Aháb kezébe akarod adni, hogy megöljön?

Ő pedig monda: Mit vétettem ellened, hogy a te szolgádat Akháb kezébe akarod adni, hogy megöljön engem?

And he said, What have I sinned, that thou wouldest deliver thy servant into the hand of Ahab, to slay me?

Şi Obadia a zis: „Ce păcat am săvârşit eu, ca să dai pe robul tău în mâinile lui Ahab, ca să mă omoare?

And he said, “How have I sinned, that you would give your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?

Él az ÚR, a te Istened, hogy nincs nemzetség és ország, ahova el ne küldött volna az én uram, hogy megkeressen téged. Ha azt mondták, nincs itt, akkor megeskette a földet és a népet, hogy valóban nem találtak meg téged.

Él az Úr a te Istened: nincs sem nemzetség, sem ország, a hova el nem küldött volna az én uram, hogy megkeressen téged. És ha azt mondották: Nincs itt! az országot és a népet megesküdtette, hogy téged csakugyan nem találtak meg.

As the LORD thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said, He is not there; he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they found thee not.

Viu este Domnul, că n-a rămas popor sau împărăţie unde să nu fi trimis stăpânul meu să te caute; şi când se spunea că nu eşti acolo, punea pe împărăţia şi poporul acela să jure că nu te-a găsit.

As the LORD your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you. And when they would say, ‘He is not here,’ he would take an oath of the kingdom or nation, that they had not found you.

És most te azt mondod: Menj el, mondd meg a te uradnak, íme, itt van Illés!

És most te azt mondod: Menj el, mondd meg a te uradnak: Ímé itt van Illés.

And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here.

Şi acum zici: „Du-te şi spune stăpânului tău: „Iată că a venit Ilie!”

And now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord, “Behold, Elijah is here.”’

És ha most elmegyek tőled, téged pedig olyan helyre ragad el az ÚR Lelke, amelyet nem ismerek, és elmegyek, hogy megmondjam Ahábnak, ő pedig nem talál meg téged, engem öl meg. Pedig a te szolgád féli az URat gyermekségétől fogva.

Ha most elmegyek tőled, téged pedig olyan helyre ragad el az Úrnak Lelke, a melyet én nem tudok, és én elmegyek, hogy megmondjam Akhábnak, és ha ő téged nem talál meg, engem öl meg; pedig a te szolgád féli az Urat gyermekségétől fogva.

And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry thee whither I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.

Şi apoi, când voi pleca de la tine, Duhul Domnului te va duce nu ştiu unde. Dacă m-aş duce să dau de ştire lui Ahab, şi nu te-ar găsi, mă va omorî. Şi totuşi robul tău se teme de Domnul din tinereţea lui.

And as soon as I have gone from you, the Spirit of the LORD will carry you I know not where. And so, when I come and tell Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, although I your servant have feared the LORD from my youth.

Nem mondták-e meg az én uramnak, mit tettem, amikor Jezábel megölette az ÚR prófétáit? Hogy hogyan rejtettem el az ÚR prófétái közül száz férfit ötvenenként egyegy barlangba, és tápláltam őket kenyérrel és vízzel?

Nem mondották-é meg az én uramnak, mit cselekedtem, mikor Jézabel megölette az Úr prófétáit? hogy hogyan rejtettem el az Úr prófétái közül száz férfiút ötvenenként egy-egy barlangba és tápláltam őket kenyérrel és vízzel.

Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew the prophets of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the LORD's prophets by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water?

Nu s-a spus oare domnului meu ce am făcut când a ucis Izabela pe prorocii Domnului? Cum am ascuns o sută de proroci ai Domnului, câte cincizeci într-o peşteră, şi i-am hrănit cu pâine şi cu apă?

Has it not been told my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the LORD, how I hid a hundred men of the LORD’s prophets by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water?

És te mégis azt mondod: Menj el, és mondd meg a te uradnak, íme, itt van Illés! Akkor ő megöl engem!

És te mégis azt mondod: Menj el és mondd meg a te uradnak: Ímé itt van Illés; hogy megöljön engemet.

And now thou sayest, Go, tell thy lord, Behold, Elijah is here: and he shall slay me.

Şi acum tu zici: „Du-te şi spune stăpânului tău: „Iată că a venit Ilie!” El mă va ucide.”

And now you say, ‘Go, tell your lord, “Behold, Elijah is here”’; and he will kill me.”

Illés így felelt: Él a Seregek URa, akinek szolgálatában állok, hogy e mai napon megmutatom magam neki.

És felele Illés: Él a Seregeknek Ura, a ki előtt állok: e mai napon megmutatom magamat néki.

And Elijah said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, I will surely shew myself unto him to day.

Dar Ilie a zis: „Viu este Domnul oştirilor al cărui slujitor sunt, că astăzi mă voi înfăţişa înaintea lui Ahab.”

And Elijah said, “As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today.”

Elment tehát Óbadjáhú Aháb elé, és megjelentette ezt neki. Aháb pedig elébe ment Illésnek.

Elméne azért Abdiás Akháb eleibe, és megjelenté ezt néki, és eleibe méne Akháb Illésnek.

So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him: and Ahab went to meet Elijah.

So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him. And Ahab went to meet Elijah.

Amikor Aháb meglátta Illést, azt mondta neki: Te vagy-e az, Izráel megháborítója?

És mikor meglátta Akháb Illést, monda Akháb néki: Te vagy-é az Izráel megháborítója?

And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?

Abia a zărit Ahab pe Ilie şi i-a zis: „Tu eşti acela care nenoroceşti pe Israel?”

When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is it you, you troubler of Israel?”

Ő pedig így felelt: Nem én háborítottam meg Izráelt, hanem te és a te atyád háza azzal, hogy elhagytátok az ÚR parancsolatait, és a Baal után jártok.

Ő pedig monda: Nem én háborítottam meg az Izráelt, hanem te és a te atyád háza, azzal, hogy elhagytátok az Úrnak parancsolatait, és a Baál után jártatok.

And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.

Ilie a răspuns: „Nu eu nenorocesc pe Israel; ci tu şi casa tatălui tău, fiindcă aţi părăsit poruncile Domnului şi te-ai dus după Baali.

And he answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you have, and your father’s house, because you have abandoned the commandments of the LORD and followed the Baals.

Most azért küldj el, gyűjtsd hozzám egész Izráelt a Karmel-hegyre és a Baal négyszázötven prófétáját és az Asérá négyszáz prófétáját, akik Jezábel asztaláról élnek.

Most azért küldj el, gyűjtsd hozzám az egész Izráelt a Kármel hegyre, és a Baál négyszázötven prófétáját, és az Aserának négyszáz prófétáját, a kik a Jézabel asztaláról élnek.

Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.

Now therefore send and gather all Israel to me at Mount Carmel, and the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”

Akkor elküldött Aháb Izráel fiaihoz, és egybegyűjtötte a prófétákat a Karmel-hegyre.

És elkülde Akháb mind az egész Izráel fiaihoz, és egybegyűjté a prófétákat a Kármel hegyre.

So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.

So Ahab sent to all the people of Israel and gathered the prophets together at Mount Carmel.

Illés pedig odament az egész sokasághoz, és azt mondta: Meddig sántikáltok kétfelé? Ha az ÚR az Isten, kövessétek őt, ha pedig a Baal, kövessétek azt. De nem felelt neki a nép még csak egy szót sem.

És odamenvén Illés az egész sokasághoz, monda: Meddig sántikáltok kétfelé? Ha az Úr az Isten, kövessétek őt; ha pedig Baál, kövessétek azt. És nem felelt néki a nép csak egy szót sem.

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Atunci Ilie s-a apropiat de tot poporul şi a zis: „Până când vreţi să şchiopătaţi de amândouă picioarele? Dacă Domnul este Dumnezeu, mergeţi după El; iar dacă este Baal, mergeţi după Baal!” Poporul nu i-a răspuns nimic.

And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word.

Akkor azt mondta Illés a népnek: Egyedül csak én maradtam meg az ÚR prófétái közül, míg a Baal prófétái négyszázötvenen vannak.

Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

Şi Ilie a zis poporului: „Eu singur am rămas din prorocii Domnului, pe când proroci ai lui Baal sunt patru sute cincizeci.

Then Elijah said to the people, “I, even I only, am left a prophet of the LORD, but Baal’s prophets are 450 men.

Adjatok azért nekünk két bikát. Ők válasszák ki maguknak az egyik bikát, vagdalják darabokra, és rakják a fahasábokra, de tüzet ne gyújtsanak alá. Én pedig a másikat készítem el, amelyet a fahasábokra rakok, de tüzet én sem gyújtok alá.

Adjatok azért nékünk két tulkot, és [ők] válaszszák magoknak az egyik tulkot, a melyet vagdaljanak darabokra, és rakják a fákra; de tüzet ne tegyenek alája; én pedig a másikat készítem el, a melyet a fákra rakok, de tüzet én sem teszek alája.

Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:

Să ni se dea doi junci. Ei să-şi aleagă un junc, pe care să-l taie în bucăţi şi să-l pună pe lemne, fără să pună foc. Şi eu voi pregăti celălalt junc şi-l voi pune pe lemne, fără să pun foc.

Let two bulls be given to us, and let them choose one bull for themselves and cut it in pieces and lay it on the wood, but put no fire to it. And I will prepare the other bull and lay it on the wood and put no fire to it.

Akkor hívjátok segítségül a ti istenetek nevét, és én is segítségül hívom az ÚR nevét. Amelyik isten tűz által felel, az az Isten. Erre az egész sokaság így felelt: Rendben van!

Akkor hívjátok segítségül a ti istenteknek nevét, és én is segítségül hívom az Úrnak nevét; és a mely isten tűz által felel, az az Isten. És felelvén az egész sokaság, monda: Jó lesz!

And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

Apoi voi să chemaţi numele dumnezeului vostru; şi eu voi chema Numele Domnului. Dumnezeul care va răspunde prin foc, acela să fie adevăratul Dumnezeu. Şi tot poporul a răspuns şi a zis: „Bine!”

And you call upon the name of your god, and I will call upon the name of the LORD, and the God who answers by fire, he is God.” And all the people answered, “It is well spoken.”

Illés azt mondta a Baal prófétáinak: Válasszátok ki magatoknak az egyik bikát, és készítsétek el ti először, mert ti többen vagytok, és hívjátok segítségül a ti istenetek nevét, de tüzet ne gyújtsatok alá!

És monda Illés a Baál prófétáinak: Válaszszátok el magatoknak az egyik tulkot, és készítsétek el ti először; mert ti többen [vagytok,] és hívjátok segítségül a ti istenteknek nevét, de tüzet ne tegyetek alája.

And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.

Ilie a zis prorocilor lui Baal: „Alegeţi-vă un junc din cei doi, pregătiţi-l voi întâi, căci sunteţi mai mulţi, şi chemaţi numele dumnezeului vostru; dar să nu puneţi foc.”

Then Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, “Choose for yourselves one bull and prepare it first, for you are many, and call upon the name of your god, but put no fire to it.”

And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

Ei au luat juncul pe care li l-au dat şi l-au pregătit. Şi au chemat numele lui Baal, de dimineaţă până la amiază, zicând: „Baale, auzi-ne!” Dar nu s-a auzit nici glas, nici răspuns. Şi săreau împrejurul altarului pe care-l făcuseră.

And they took the bull that was given them, and they prepared it and called upon the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no voice, and no one answered. And they limped around the altar that they had made.

Amikor pedig már dél lett, Illés elkezdte gúnyolni őket, és ezt mondta: Kiáltsatok hangosabban, hiszen isten ő! Talán elmélkedik, vagy félrement, vagy úton van, vagy talán alszik, és majd fölébred.

And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

And at noon Elijah mocked them, saying, “Cry aloud, for he is a god. Either he is musing, or he is relieving himself, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened.”

And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

And they cried aloud and cut themselves after their custom with swords and lances, until the blood gushed out upon them.

Dél elmúltával pedig önkívületbe estek, egészen az esti áldozatig. De akkor sem jött hang, sem felelet, sem meghallgattatás.

Mikor pedig a dél elmúlt, prófétálni [kezdtek] egész az esteli áldozatig; de akkor sem lett se szó, se felelet, se meghallgattatás.

And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

Când a trecut amiaza, au aiurit până în clipa când se aducea jertfa de seară. Dar nu s-a auzit nici glas, nici răspuns, nici semn de luare aminte.

And as midday passed, they raved on until the time of the offering of the oblation, but there was no voice. No one answered; no one paid attention.

Akkor azt mondta Illés az egész népnek: Jöjjetek énhozzám. Erre hozzá ment az egész nép, ő pedig megépítette az ÚR lerombolt oltárát.

Akkor monda Illés az egész sokaságnak: Jőjjetek én hozzám. És hozzá méne az egész sokaság, és megépíté az Úr oltárát, a mely leromboltatott volt.

And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.

Ilie a zis atunci întregului popor: „Apropiaţi-vă de mine!” Tot poporul s-a apropiat de el. Şi Ilie a dres altarul Domnului care fusese sfărâmat.

Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” And all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that had been thrown down.

Vett Illés tizenkét követ a Jákób fiaitól származó törzsek száma szerint, akiknek Isten azt mondta: Izráel legyen a neved.

And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.

And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

Azután ezt mondta: Töltsetek meg négy vödröt vízzel és öntsétek az égőáldozatra és a fára. Azután ezt mondta: Ismételjétek meg! És megismételték. Ezután azt mondta: Harmadszor is tegyétek meg! És harmadszor is megtették.

Amikor eljött az esti áldozás ideje, odalépett Illés próféta, és azt mondta: Ó, URam, Ábrahám, Izsák és Izráel Istene! Hadd tudják meg e mai napon, hogy te vagy az Isten Izráelben, és hogy én a te szolgád vagyok, és mindezeket a te parancsodra tettem.

És a mikor eljött az esteli áldozás ideje, oda lépett Illés próféta, és monda: Óh Uram, Ábrahámnak, Izsáknak és Izráelnek Istene, hadd ismerjék meg e mai napon, hogy te vagy az Isten az Izráelben, és hogy én a te szolgád vagyok, és hogy mindezeket a te parancsolatodból cselekedtem.

And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

Illés pedig azt mondta nekik: Fogjátok meg a Baal prófétáit, hogy senki el ne menekülhessen közülük! Ekkor megfogták őket, Illés pedig levitte őket a Kísón-patak mellé, és ott megölte őket.

És monda Illés nékik: Fogjátok meg a Baál prófétáit; senki el ne szaladjon közülök! És megfogák őket, és alávivé őket Illés a Kison patakja mellé, és megölé ott őket.

And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.

So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,

And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.

And he said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” And he went up and looked and said, “There is nothing.” And he said, “Go again,” seven times.

Hetedszerre azt mondta a szolga: Íme, egy kis felhőcske jön föl a tengerből, akkora, mint egy ember tenyere. Ő azt felelte: Menj el, és mondd meg Ahábnak: Fogj be és menj le, míg föl nem tartóztat az eső.

És lőn hetedúttal, monda [a szolga:] Ímé egy kis felhőcske, mint egy embernek a tenyere, jő fel a tengerből. Akkor monda: Menj fel, mondd meg Akhábnak: Fogj be és menj le, hogy meg ne késleljen az eső.

And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.

A şaptea oară, slujitorul a zis: „Iată că se ridică un mic nor din mare, ca o palmă de om.” Ilie a zis: „Suie-te şi spune lui Ahab: „Înhamă şi coboară-te, ca să nu te oprească ploaia.”

And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, a little cloud like a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’”

Eközben az történt, hogy besötétedett az ég a felhők és a szél miatt, és nagy eső lett. Aháb pedig szekérre ült, és elment Jezréelbe.

And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

Peste câteva clipe, cerul s-a înnegrit de nori, a început vântul şi a venit o ploaie mare. Ahab s-a suit în car şi a plecat la Izreel.

And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.

Az ÚR keze pedig Illésen volt. Felövezte derekát, és még Aháb előtt elfutott Jezréel felé.

És lőn az Úr keze Illésen, és felövezvén az ő derekát, [még] Akháb előtt futott el Jezréel felé.

And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Şi mâna Domnului a venit peste Ilie, care şi-a încins mijlocul şi a alergat înaintea lui Ahab până la intrarea în Izreel.

And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah, and he gathered up his garment and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
