Jókor reggel azonban ismét ott volt a templomban, és az egész nép hozzá ment, ő pedig leült, és tanította őket.

And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.

Az írástudók és a farizeusok pedig egy asszonyt vittek hozzá, akit házasságtörésen értek, és középre állítva

Az írástudók és a farizeusok pedig egy asszonyt vivének hozzá, a kit házasságtörésen kaptak vala, és a középre állítván azt,

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

Atunci cărturarii şi fariseii I-au adus o femeie prinsă în preacurvie. Au pus-o în mijlocul norodului

The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst

They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

şi au zis lui Isus: „Învăţătorule, femeia aceasta a fost prinsă chiar când săvârşea preacurvia.

they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery.

A törvényben pedig Mózes megparancsolta nekünk, hogy az ilyeneket kövezzük meg. Te azért mit mondasz?

A törvényben pedig megparancsolta nékünk Mózes, hogy az ilyenek köveztessenek meg: te azért mit mondasz?

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

Moise, în Lege, ne-a poruncit să ucidem cu pietre pe astfel de femei: Tu, dar, ce zici?”

Now in the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?”

Ezt pedig azért mondták, hogy próbára tegyék, és legyen mivel vádolniuk őt. Jézus pedig lehajolt, és az ujjával írt a földre.

Ezt pedig azért mondák, hogy megkísértsék őt, hogy legyen őt mivel vádolniok. Jézus pedig lehajolván, az ujjával ír vala a földre.

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

Spuneau lucrul acesta ca să-L ispitească şi să-L poată învinui. Dar Isus S-a plecat în jos şi scria cu degetul pe pământ.

This they said to test him, that they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.

De amikor tovább faggatták, felegyenesedve azt mondta nekik: Aki közületek nem bűnös, az vesse rá először a követ.

De mikor szorgalmazva kérdezék őt, felegyenesedve monda nékik: A ki közületek nem bűnös, az vesse rá először a követ.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Fiindcă ei nu încetau să-L întrebe, El S-a ridicat în sus şi le-a zis: „Cine dintre voi este fără păcat să arunce cel dintâi cu piatra în ea.”

And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”

Majd újra lehajolt, és írt a földre.

És újra lehajolván, írt vala a földre.

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

Apoi S-a plecat iarăşi şi scria cu degetul pe pământ.

And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground.

Azok pedig ezt hallva, egymás után kimentek, kezdve a vénekkel; egyedül Jézus maradt ott és az asszony középen állva.

Azok pedig [ezt] hallván és a lelkiismeret által vádoltatván, egymásután kimenének a vénektől kezdve mind az utolsóig; és egyedül Jézus maradt vala és az asszony a középen állva.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

Când au auzit ei cuvintele acestea, s-au simţit mustraţi de cugetul lor şi au ieşit afară, unul câte unul, începând de la cei mai bătrâni, până la cei din urmă. Şi Isus a rămas singur cu femeia, care stătea în mijloc.

But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him.

Amikor pedig Jézus felegyenesedett, és senkit sem látott az asszonyon kívül, azt kérdezte tőle: Asszony, hol vannak a te vádlóid? Senki sem kárhoztat téged?

Mikor pedig Jézus felegyenesedék és senkit sem láta az asszonyon kívül, monda néki: Asszony, hol vannak azok a te vádlóid? Senki sem kárhoztatott-é téged?

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Atunci S-a ridicat în sus; şi, când n-a mai văzut pe nimeni decât pe femeie, Isus i-a zis: „Femeie, unde sunt pârâşii tăi? Nimeni nu te-a osândit?”

Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

Ő így válaszolt: Senki, Uram! Jézus pedig azt mondta neki: Én sem ítéllek el, eredj el, és többé ne vétkezzél!

Az pedig monda: Senki, Uram! Jézus pedig monda néki: Én sem kárhoztatlak: eredj el és többé ne vétkezzél!

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

„Nimeni, Doamne”, I-a răspuns ea. Şi Isus i-a zis: „Nici Eu nu te osândesc. Du-te, şi să nu mai păcătuieşti.”)

She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”]]

Ismét szólt hozzájuk Jézus, és azt mondta: Én vagyok a világ világossága; aki engem követ, sosem jár sötétségben, hanem övé lesz az élet világossága.

Ismét szóla azért hozzájok Jézus, mondván: Én vagyok a világ világossága: a ki engem követ, nem járhat a sötétségben, hanem övé lesz az életnek világossága.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Isus le-a vorbit din nou şi a zis: „Eu sunt Lumina lumii; cine Mă urmează pe Mine nu va umbla în întuneric, ci va avea lumina vieţii.”

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

A farizeusok pedig azt mondták neki: Te magad teszel bizonyságot magadról, a te bizonyságtételed nem érvényes.

Mondának azért néki a farizeusok: Te magadról teszel bizonyságot; a te bizonyságtételed nem igaz.

The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

La auzul acestor vorbe, fariseii I-au zis: „Tu mărturiseşti despre Tine însuţi: deci mărturia Ta nu este adevărată.”

So the Pharisees said to him, “You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true.”

Jézus így válaszolt: Ha magam teszek is bizonyságot magamról, az én bizonyságtételem érvényes, mert tudom, honnan jöttem, és hova megyek, ti pedig nem tudjátok, honnan jövök, és hova megyek.

Felele Jézus és monda nékik: Ha magam teszek is bizonyságot magamról, az én bizonyságtételem igaz; mert tudom honnan jöttem és hová megyek; ti pedig nem tudjátok honnan jövök és hová megyek.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

Drept răspuns, Isus le-a zis: „Chiar dacă Eu mărturisesc despre Mine însumi, totuşi mărturia Mea este adevărată; căci Eu ştiu de unde am venit şi unde Mă duc, dar voi nu ştiţi nici de unde vin, nici unde Mă duc.

Jesus answered, “Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going.

Ti test szerint ítéltek, én nem ítélkezem senki fölött.

Ti test szerint ítéltek, én nem ítélek senkit.

Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

Voi judecaţi după înfăţişare; Eu nu judec pe nimeni.

You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.

És ha ítélkezem is, az én ítéletem érvényes, mert nem egyedül vagyok, hanem én és az Atya, aki küldött engem.

De ha ítélek is én, az én ítéletem igaz; mert én nem egyedül vagyok, hanem én és az Atya, a ki küldött engem.

And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

Şi chiar dacă judec, judecata Mea este adevărată, pentru că nu sunt singur, ci Tatăl, care M-a trimis, este cu Mine.

Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me.

Márpedig a ti törvényetekben is meg van írva, hogy két ember bizonyságtétele érvényes.

A ti törvényetekben is meg van pedig írva, hogy két ember bizonyságtétele igaz.

It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

În Legea voastră este scris că mărturia a doi oameni este adevărată:

In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true.

Én vagyok az egyik, aki bizonyságot teszek magamról, és bizonyságot tesz rólam az Atya is, aki elküldött engem.

Én vagyok a ki bizonyságot teszek magamról, és bizonyságot tesz rólam az Atya, a ki küldött engem.

I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

deci despre Mine însumi mărturisesc Eu, şi despre Mine mărturiseşte şi Tatăl, care M-a trimis.”

I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”

Azt kérdezték tőle: Hol van a te Atyád? Jézus így válaszolt: Sem engem nem ismertek, sem az én Atyámat; ha engem ismernétek, az én Atyámat is ismernétek.

Mondának azért néki: Hol van a te Atyád? Felele Jézus: Sem engem nem ismertek, sem az én Atyámat; ha engem ismernétek, az én Atyámat is ismernétek.

Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Ei I-au zis deci: „Unde este Tatăl Tău?” Isus a răspuns: „Voi nu Mă cunoaşteţi nici pe Mine, nici pe Tatăl Meu. Dacă M-aţi cunoaşte pe Mine, aţi cunoaşte şi pe Tatăl Meu.”

They said to him therefore, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

Ezeket a beszédeket a kincstárnál mondta Jézus, amikor a templomban tanított, és senki sem fogta el őt, mert még nem jött el az ő órája.

Ezeket a beszédeket mondá Jézus a kincstartó helyen, a mikor tanít vala a templomban; és senki sem fogta meg őt, mert még nem jött el az ő órája.

These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

Isus a spus aceste cuvinte pe când învăţa pe norod în Templu, în locul unde era vistieria; şi nimeni n-a pus mâna pe El, pentru că încă nu-I sosise ceasul.

These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

Majd ismét beszélt hozzájuk Jézus: Én elmegyek, és kerestek majd engem, és bűneitekben fogtok meghalni. Ahova én megyek, ti oda nem jöhettek.

Ismét monda azért nékik Jézus: Én elmegyek, és kerestek majd engem, és a ti bűneitekben fogtok meghalni: a hová én megyek, ti nem jöhettek oda.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

Isus le-a mai spus: „Eu Mă duc, şi Mă veţi căuta şi veţi muri în păcatul vostru; acolo unde Mă duc Eu, voi nu puteţi veni.”

So he said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”

A zsidók erre azt mondták: Talán megöli magát, hogy azt mondja: Ahova én megyek, ti oda nem jöhettek?

Mondának azért a zsidók: Avagy megöli-é magát, hogy azt mondja: A hová én megyek, ti nem jöhettek oda?

Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

Atunci iudeii au zis: „Doar n-o avea de gând să Se omoare, de zice: „Unde Mă duc Eu, voi nu puteţi veni”!”

So the Jews said, “Will he kill himself, since he says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”

És azt mondta nekik: Ti innen alulról valók vagytok, én onnan fölülről való vagyok, ti ebből a világból valók vagytok, én nem ebből a világból való vagyok.

És monda nékik: Ti innét alól valók vagytok, én onnét felül való vagyok; ti e világból valók vagytok, én nem vagyok e világból való.

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

„Voi sunteţi de jos”, le-a zis El, „Eu sunt de sus: voi sunteţi din lumea aceasta, Eu nu sunt din lumea aceasta.

He said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

Azért mondtam nektek, hogy bűneitekben haltok meg, mert ha nem hiszitek, hogy én az vagyok, meghaltok bűneitekben.

Azért mondám néktek, hogy a ti bűneitekben haltok meg: mert ha nem hiszitek, hogy én vagyok, meghaltok a ti bűneitekben.

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

De aceea v-am spus că veţi muri în păcatele voastre; căci, dacă nu credeţi că Eu sunt, veţi muri în păcatele voastre.”

I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”

Azt kérdezték azért tőle: Ki vagy te? Jézus pedig így válaszolt: Akinek eleitől fogva mondom magamat.

Mondának azért néki: Ki vagy te? És monda nékik Jézus: A mit eleitől fogva mondok is néktek.

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

„Cine eşti Tu?”, I-au zis ei. Isus le-a răspuns: „Ceea ce de la început vă spun că sunt.

So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been telling you from the beginning.

Sok mondani- és ítélnivalóm van felőletek, de igaz az, aki elküldött engem, és én azokat beszélem a világnak, amiket tőle hallottam.

Sok beszélni és ítélni valóm van felőletek: de igaz az, a ki küldött engem; és én azokat beszélem a világnak, a miket tőle hallottam vala.

I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

Am multe de zis despre voi şi de osândit în voi; dar Cel ce M-a trimis este adevărat; şi Eu, ce am auzit de la El, aceea spun lumii.”

I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.”

Nem értették meg, hogy az Atyáról beszélt nekik.

Nem vevék észre, hogy az Atyáról szól vala nékik.

They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

Ei n-au înţeles că le vorbea despre Tatăl.

They did not understand that he had been speaking to them about the Father.

Így szólt azért hozzájuk Jézus: Amikor fölemelitek az Emberfiát, akkor majd felismeritek, hogy én ki vagyok, és hogy magamtól semmit sem teszek, hanem azt mondom, amire az Atya tanított engem.

Monda azért nékik Jézus: Mikor felemelitek az embernek Fiát, akkor megismeritek, hogy én vagyok és semmit sem cselekszem magamtól, hanem a mint az Atya tanított engem, úgy szólok.

Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Isus deci le-a zis: „Când veţi înălţa pe Fiul omului, atunci veţi cunoaşte că Eu sunt şi că nu fac nimic de la Mine însumi, ci vorbesc după cum M-a învăţat Tatăl Meu.

So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.

Velem van az, aki elküldött engem, nem hagyott engem egyedül az Atya, mert én mindenkor azokat cselekszem, amik neki kedvesek.

És a ki küldött engem, én velem van. Nem hagyott engem az Atya egyedül, mert én mindenkor azokat cselekszem, a melyek néki kedvesek.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Cel ce M-a trimis este cu Mine; Tatăl nu M-a lăsat singur, pentru că totdeauna fac ce-I este plăcut.”

And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”

Amikor ezeket mondta, sokan hittek benne.

A mikor ezeket mondá, sokan hivének ő benne.

As he spake these words, many believed on him.

Pe când vorbea Isus astfel, mulţi au crezut în El.

As he was saying these things, many believed in him.

Azt mondta azért Jézus a benne hívő zsidóknak: Ha megmaradtok az én beszédemben, bizonnyal az én tanítványaim vagytok,

Monda azért Jézus a benne hívő zsidóknak: Ha ti megmaradtok az én beszédemben, bizonynyal az én tanítványaim vagytok;

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Şi a zis iudeilor care crezuseră în El: „Dacă rămâneţi în Cuvântul Meu, sunteţi în adevăr ucenicii Mei;

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

és megismeritek az igazságot, és az igazság szabaddá tesz titeket.

És megismeritek az igazságot, és az igazság szabadokká tesz titeket.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

veţi cunoaşte adevărul, şi adevărul vă va face slobozi.”

and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Erre azt felelték: Ábrahám magva vagyunk, és nem szolgáltunk soha senkinek, miért mondod, hogy szabaddá leszünk?

Felelének néki: Ábrahám magva vagyunk, és nem szolgáltunk soha senkinek: mimódon mondod te, hogy szabadokká lesztek?

They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

Ei I-au răspuns: „Noi suntem sămânţa lui Avraam şi n-am fost niciodată robii nimănui; cum zici Tu: „Veţi fi slobozi!”?”

They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”

Jézus így válaszolt: Bizony, bizony mondom nektek, hogy mindaz, aki bűnt cselekszik, a bűn szolgája.

Felele nékik Jézus: Bizony, bizony mondom néktek, hogy mindaz, a ki bűnt cselekszik, szolgája a bűnnek.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

„Adevărat, adevărat vă spun”, le-a răspuns Isus, „că oricine trăieşte în păcat este rob al păcatului.

Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.

A szolga pedig nem marad mindörökké a házban, a Fiú marad ott mindörökké.

And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

Şi robul nu rămâne pururi în casă; fiul, însă, rămâne pururi.

The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever.

Azért ha a Fiú megszabadít titeket, valósággal szabadok lesztek.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Deci dacă Fiul vă face slobozi, veţi fi cu adevărat slobozi.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Tudom, hogy Ábrahám magva vagytok, de meg akartok engem ölni, mert az én beszédemnek nincs helye nálatok.

Tudom, hogy Ábrahám magva vagytok; de meg akartok engem ölni, mert az én beszédemnek nincs helye nálatok.

I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

Ştiu că sunteţi sămânţa lui Avraam; dar căutaţi să Mă omorâţi, pentru că nu pătrunde în voi Cuvântul Meu.

I know that you are offspring of Abraham; yet you seek to kill me because my word finds no place in you.

Én azt mondom el, amit az én Atyámnál láttam, és ti is azt teszitek, amit a ti atyátoktól hallottatok.

Én azt beszélem, a mit az én Atyámnál láttam; ti is azt cselekszitek azért, a mit a ti atyátoknál láttatok.

I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

Eu spun ce am văzut la Tatăl Meu; şi voi faceţi ce aţi auzit de la tatăl vostru.”

I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”

Erre azt felelték: A mi atyánk Ábrahám. Jézus pedig azt mondta nekik: Ha Ábrahám gyermekei volnátok, Ábrahám cselekedeteit tennétek.

Felelének és mondának néki: A mi atyánk Ábrahám. Monda nékik Jézus: Ha Ábrahám gyermekei volnátok, az Ábrahám dolgait cselekednétek.

They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

„Tatăl nostru”, I-au răspuns ei, „este Avraam.” Isus le-a zis: „Dacă aţi fi copii ai lui Avraam, aţi face faptele lui Avraam.

They answered him, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would be doing the works Abraham did,

De most meg akartok engem ölni, egy olyan embert, aki azt az igazságot mondta nektek, amelyet én Istentől hallottam. Ábrahám ezt nem tette.

Ámde meg akartok engem ölni, olyan embert, a ki az igazságot beszéltem néktek, a melyet az Istentől hallottam. Ábrahám ezt nem cselekedte.

But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

Dar acum căutaţi să Mă omorâţi pe Mine, un Om care v-am spus adevărul pe care l-am auzit de la Dumnezeu. Aşa ceva Avraam n-a făcut.

but now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.

Ti a ti atyátok dolgait cselekszitek. Azt mondták azért neki: Mi nem paráznaságból születtünk, egy atyánk van, az Isten.

Ti a ti atyátok dolgait cselekszitek. Mondának azért néki: Mi nem paráznaságból születtünk; egy atyánk van, az Isten.

Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

Voi faceţi faptele tatălui vostru.” Ei I-au zis: „Noi nu suntem copii născuţi din curvie; avem un singur Tată: pe Dumnezeu.”

You are doing the works your father did.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father—even God.”

Jézus ekkor így válaszolt: Ha Isten volna a ti atyátok, szeretnétek engem, mert én Istentől jöttem és érkeztem ide, nem magamtól jöttem, hanem ő küldött engem.

Monda azért nékik Jézus: Ha az Isten volna a ti atyátok, szeretnétek engem: mert én az Istentől származtam és jöttem; mert nem is magamtól jöttem, hanem ő küldött engem.

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me.

Miért nem értitek az én beszédemet? Mert képtelenek vagytok meghallani a szavamat.

Miért nem értitek az én beszédemet? Mert nem hallgatjátok az én szómat.

Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Pentru ce nu înţelegeţi vorbirea Mea? Pentru că nu puteţi asculta Cuvântul Meu.

Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word.

Ti az ördög atyától vagytok, és atyátok kívánságait akarjátok teljesíteni, aki emberölő volt kezdettől fogva, és nem állt meg az igazságban, mert nincsen benne igazság. Amikor hazugságot szól, a sajátjából szól, mert hazug ő, a hazugság atyja.

Ti az ördög atyától valók vagytok, és a ti atyátok kívánságait akarjátok teljesíteni. Az emberölő volt kezdettől fogva, és nem állott meg az igazságban, mert nincsen ő benne igazság. Mikor hazugságot szól, a sajátjából szól; mert hazug és hazugság atyja.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Voi aveţi de tată pe diavolul; şi vreţi să împliniţi poftele tatălui vostru. El de la început a fost ucigaş; şi nu stă în adevăr, pentru că în el nu este adevăr. Ori de câte ori spune o minciună, vorbeşte din ale lui, căci este mincinos şi tatăl minciunii.

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Mivel pedig én az igazságot mondom, nem hisztek nekem.

Mivelhogy pedig én igazságot szólok, nem hisztek nékem.

And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Iar pe Mine, pentru că spun adevărul, nu Mă credeţi.

But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.

Közületek ki vádol engem bűnnel? Ha pedig az igazságot szólom, miért nem hisztek nekem?

Ki vádol engem közületek bűnnel? Ha pedig igazságot szólok: miért nem hisztek ti nékem?

Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

Cine din voi Mă poate dovedi că am păcat? Dacă spun adevărul, pentru ce nu Mă credeţi?

Which one of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?

Aki Istentől van, az hallgatja Isten beszédeit. Ti azért nem hallgatjátok, mert nem Istentől valók vagytok.

A ki az Istentől van, hallgatja az Isten beszédeit; azért nem hallgatjátok ti, mert nem vagytok az Istentől valók.

He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Cine este din Dumnezeu ascultă cuvintele lui Dumnezeu; voi de aceea n-ascultaţi, pentru că nu sunteţi din Dumnezeu.”

Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”

Akkor azt mondták neki a zsidók: Nemde igazunk van, amikor azt mondjuk, hogy samáriai vagy, és ördög van benned?

Felelének azért a zsidók és mondának néki: Nem jól mondjuk-é mi, hogy te Samaritánus vagy, és ördög van benned?

Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

Iudeii I-au răspuns: „Nu zicem noi bine că eşti samaritean şi că ai drac?”

The Jews answered him, “Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?”

Jézus így felelt: Nincs bennem ördög, hanem én tisztelem az Atyámat, de ti gyaláztok engem.

Felele Jézus: Nincs én bennem ördög; hanem tisztelem az én Atyámat, és ti gyaláztok engem.

Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

„N-am drac”, le-a răspuns Isus, „ci Eu cinstesc pe Tatăl Meu, dar voi nu Mă cinstiţi.

Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.

Én nem keresem a magam dicsőségét, van, aki keresi és megítéli.

Pedig én nem keresem az én dicsőségemet: van a ki keresi és megítéli.

And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

Eu nu caut slava Mea; este Unul care o caută şi care judecă.

Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge.

Bizony, bizony mondom nektek, ha valaki megtartja az én beszédemet, nem lát halált sohasem.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Adevărat, adevărat vă spun că, dacă păzeşte cineva Cuvântul Meu, în veac nu va vedea moartea.”

Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”

Azt mondták erre neki a zsidók: Most értettük meg, hogy ördög van benned. Ábrahám meghalt, a próféták is, és te azt mondod: Ha valaki megtartja az én beszédemet, nem kóstol halált sohasem.

Mondának azért néki a zsidók: Most értettük meg, hogy ördög van benned. Ábrahám meghalt, a próféták is; és te azt mondod: Ha valaki megtartja az én beszédemet, nem kóstol halált örökké.

Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

„Acum”, I-au zis iudeii, „vedem bine că ai drac; Avraam a murit, prorocii, de asemenea, au murit, şi Tu zici: „Dacă păzeşte cineva Cuvântul Meu, în veac nu va gusta moartea.”

The Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, ‘If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.’

Talán nagyobb vagy a mi atyánknál, Ábrahámnál, aki meghalt? A próféták is meghaltak, te kinek tartod magadat?

Avagy nagyobb vagy-é te a mi atyánknál Ábrahámnál, a ki meghalt? A próféták is meghaltak: kinek állítod te magadat?

Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

Doar n-ai fi Tu mai mare decât părintele nostru Avraam, care a murit? Şi decât prorocii, care, de asemenea, au murit? Cine Te crezi Tu că eşti?”

Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?”

Jézus így válaszolt: Ha én dicsőítem magamat, az én dicsőségem semmi; az én Atyám az, aki dicsőít engem, akiről azt mondjátok: „Ő a mi Istenünk.”

Felele Jézus: Ha én dicsőítem magamat, az én dicsőségem semmi: az én Atyám az, a ki dicsőít engem, a kiről ti azt mondjátok, hogy a ti Istenetek,

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Isus a răspuns: „Dacă Mă slăvesc Eu însumi, slava Mea nu este nimic; Tatăl Meu Mă slăveşte, El, despre care voi ziceţi că este Dumnezeul vostru;

Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’

Ti nem ismeritek őt, de én ismerem őt, és ha azt mondanám, hogy nem ismerem őt, hozzátok hasonlóan hazug lennék, de ismerem őt, és megtartom az ő beszédét.

És nem ismeritek őt: de én ismerem őt; és ha azt mondom, hogy nem ismerem őt, hozzátok hasonlóvá, hazuggá leszek: de ismerem őt, és az ő beszédét megtartom.

Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

şi totuşi nu-L cunoaşteţi. Eu Îl cunosc bine; şi dacă aş zice că nu-L cunosc, aş fi şi Eu un mincinos ca voi. Dar Îl cunosc şi păzesc Cuvântul Lui.

But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.

Ábrahám, a ti atyátok örvendezett, hogy meglátja az én napomat, látta is, és örült.

Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Tatăl vostru Avraam a săltat de bucurie că are să vadă ziua Mea: a văzut-o şi s-a bucurat.”

Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.”

Erre azt mondták neki a zsidók: Még ötvenéves sem vagy, és láttad Ábrahámot?

Mondának azért néki a zsidók: Még ötven esztendős nem vagy, és Ábrahámot láttad?

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

„N-ai nici cincizeci ce ani”, I-au zis iudeii, „şi ai văzut pe Avraam!”

So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”

Jézus pedig így válaszolt: Bizony, bizony mondom nektek, hogy mielőtt Ábrahám lett, én vagyok!

Monda nékik Jézus: Bizony, bizony mondom néktek: Mielőtt Ábrahám lett, én vagyok.

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

Isus le-a zis: „Adevărat, adevărat vă spun că mai înainte ca să se nască Avraam, sunt Eu.”

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”

Erre köveket ragadtak, hogy rádobálják, de Jézus elrejtőzött, és kiment a templomból.

Köveket ragadának azért, hogy reá hajigálják; Jézus pedig elrejtőzködék, és kiméne a templomból, átmenvén közöttük; és ilyen módon eltávozék.

Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

La auzul acestor vorbe, au luat pietre ca să arunce în El. Dar Isus S-a ascuns şi a ieşit din Templu, trecând prin mijlocul lor. Şi aşa a plecat din Templu.

So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
