A farizeusok között volt egy Nikodémus nevű ember, a zsidók egyik vezetője.

Vala pedig a farizeusok közt egy ember, a neve Nikodémus, a zsidók főembere:

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Între farisei era un om cu numele Nicodim, un fruntaş al iudeilor.

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

Eljött Jézushoz éjjel, és azt mondta neki: Mester, tudjuk, hogy Istentől jöttél tanítóul, mert senki sem tehet ilyen jeleket, amelyeket teszel, csak ha az Isten van vele.

Ez jöve Jézushoz éjjel, és monda néki: Mester, tudjuk, hogy Istentől jöttél tanítóul; mert senki sem teheti e jeleket, a melyeket te teszel, hanem ha az Isten van vele.

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Acesta a venit la Isus, noaptea, şi I-a zis: „Învăţătorule, ştim că eşti un Învăţător venit de la Dumnezeu; căci nimeni nu poate face semnele pe care le faci Tu, dacă nu este Dumnezeu cu el.”

This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”

Jézus így válaszolt neki: Bizony, bizony mondom neked, ha valaki újonnan nem születik, nem láthatja meg az Isten országát.

Felele Jézus és monda néki: Bizony, bizony mondom néked: ha valaki újonnan nem születik, nem láthatja az Isten országát.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Drept răspuns, Isus i-a zis: „Adevărat, adevărat îţi spun că, dacă un om nu se naşte din nou, nu poate vedea Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu.”

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

De hogyan születhetik az ember, ha vén? – kérdezte Nikodémus. – Bemehet-e anyja méhébe még egyszer, hogy megszülessen?

Monda néki Nikodémus: Mimódon születhetik az ember, ha vén? Vajjon bemehet-é az ő anyjának méhébe másodszor, és születhetik-é?

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Nicodim I-a zis: „Cum se poate naşte un om bătrân? Poate el să intre a doua oară în pântecele maicii sale şi să se nască?”

Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Jézus azt felelte: Bizony, bizony mondom neked, ha valaki nem születik víztől és Lélektől, nem mehet be az Isten országába.

Felele Jézus: Bizony, bizony mondom néked: Ha valaki nem születik víztől és Lélektől, nem mehet be az Isten országába.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Isus i-a răspuns: „Adevărat, adevărat îţi spun că, dacă nu se naşte cineva din apă şi din Duh, nu poate să intre în Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu.

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Ami testtől született, test az, és ami Lélektől született, lélek az.

A mi testtől született, test az; és a mi Lélektől született, lélek az.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Ce este născut din carne este carne, şi ce este născut din Duh este duh.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Ne csodálkozz, hogy azt mondtam neked: Szükség nektek újonnan születnetek.

Ne csodáld, hogy azt mondám néked: Szükség néktek újonnan születnetek.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Nu te mira că ţi-am zis: „Trebuie să vă naşteţi din nou.”

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

A szél arra fúj, amerre akar, és hallod a zúgását, de nem tudod, honnan jön, és hova megy. Így van mindenki, aki Lélektől született.

A szél fú, a hová akar, és annak zúgását hallod, de nem tudod honnan jő és hová megy: így van mindenki, a ki Lélektől született.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Vântul suflă încotro vrea şi-i auzi vuietul; dar nu ştii de unde vine, nici încotro merge. Tot aşa este cu oricine este născut din Duhul.”

The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nikodémus megkérdezte: Hogyan lehetséges ez?

Felele Nikodémus és monda néki: Mimódon lehetnek ezek?

Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Nicodim I-a zis: „Cum se poate face aşa ceva?”

Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?”

Jézus így felelt: Te Izráel tanítója vagy, és nem tudod ezeket a dolgokat?

Felele Jézus és monda néki: Te Izráel tanítója vagy, és nem tudod ezeket?

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Isus i-a răspuns: „Tu eşti învăţătorul lui Israel şi nu pricepi aceste lucruri?

Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?

Bizony, bizony mondom neked, amit tudunk, azt mondjuk, és amit láttunk, arról teszünk bizonyságot, és a mi bizonyságtételünket nem fogadjátok el.

Bizony, bizony mondom néked, a mit tudunk, azt mondjuk, és a mit látunk, arról teszünk bizonyságot; és a mi bizonyságtételünket el nem fogadjátok.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

Adevărat, adevărat îţi spun că Noi vorbim ce ştim şi mărturisim ce am văzut; şi voi nu primiţi mărturia Noastră.

Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.

Ha a földiekről szóltam nektek, és nem hisztek, hogyan hisztek majd, ha a mennyeiekről szólok?

Ha a földiekről szóltam néktek és nem hisztek, mimódon hisztek, ha a mennyeiekről szólok néktek?

If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Dacă v-am vorbit despre lucruri pământeşti, şi nu credeţi, cum veţi crede când vă voi vorbi despre lucrurile cereşti?

If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Senki sem ment fel a mennybe, csak az, aki a mennyből szállt alá, az Emberfia.

És senki sem ment fel a mennybe, hanemha az, a ki a mennyből szállott alá, az embernek Fia, a ki a mennyben van.

And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Nimeni nu s-a suit în cer, afară de Cel ce S-a coborât din cer, adică Fiul omului care este în cer.

No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

És ahogyan felemelte Mózes a kígyót a pusztában, úgy kell az Emberfiának felemeltetnie,

És a miképen felemelte Mózes a kígyót a pusztában, akképen kell az ember Fiának felemeltetnie.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Şi, după cum a înălţat Moise şarpele în pustiu, tot aşa trebuie să fie înălţat şi Fiul omului,

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

hogy aki hisz őbenne, annak örök élete legyen.

Hogy valaki hiszen ő benne, el ne veszszen, hanem örök élete legyen.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

pentru ca oricine crede în El să nu piară, ci să aibă viaţa veşnică.

that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

Mert úgy szerette Isten a világot, hogy az ő egyszülött Fiát adta, hogy aki hisz őbenne, el ne vesszen, hanem örök élete legyen.

Mert úgy szerette Isten e világot, hogy az ő egyszülött Fiát adta, hogy valaki hiszen ő benne, el ne vesszen, hanem örök élete legyen.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Fiindcă atât de mult a iubit Dumnezeu lumea, că a dat pe singurul Lui Fiu, pentru ca oricine crede în El să nu piară, ci să aibă viaţa veşnică.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Mert Isten nem azért küldte az ő Fiát a világra, hogy elítélje a világot, hanem hogy megmentse a világot általa.

Mert nem azért küldte az Isten az ő Fiát a világra, hogy kárhoztassa a világot, hanem hogy megtartassék a világ általa.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Dumnezeu, în adevăr, n-a trimis pe Fiul Său în lume ca să judece lumea, ci ca lumea să fie mântuită prin El.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Aki hisz őbenne, nem kerül ítéletre, aki pedig nem hisz, az már el is ítéltetett, mivelhogy nem hitt az Isten egyszülött Fiának nevében.

A ki hiszen ő benne, el nem kárhozik; a ki pedig nem hisz, immár elkárhozott, mivelhogy nem hitt az Isten egyszülött Fiának nevében.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Oricine crede în El nu este judecat; dar cine nu crede a şi fost judecat, pentru că n-a crezut în Numele singurului Fiu al lui Dumnezeu.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Ez pedig az ítélet: A világosság eljött a világra, de az emberek inkább szerették a sötétséget, mint a világosságot, mert cselekedeteik gonoszak voltak.

Ez pedig a kárhoztatás, hogy a világosság e világra jött, és az emberek inkább szerették a sötétséget, mint a világosságot; mert az ő cselekedeteik gonoszak valának.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Şi judecata aceasta stă în faptul că, odată venită Lumina în lume, oamenii au iubit mai mult întunericul decât lumina, pentru că faptele lor erau rele.

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

Mert mindenki, aki gonoszul cselekszik, gyűlöli a világosságot, és nem megy a világosságra, hogy le ne lepleződjenek cselekedetei.

Mert minden, a ki hamisan cselekszik, gyűlöli a világosságot és nem megy a világosságra, hogy az ő cselekedetei fel ne fedessenek;

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Căci oricine face răul urăşte lumina şi nu vine la lumină, ca să nu i se vădească faptele.

For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

Aki pedig az igazságot cselekszi, az a világosságra megy, hogy tetteiről kiderüljön, hogy azok Isten szerint való cselekedetek.

A ki pedig az igazságot cselekszi, az a világosságra megy, hogy az ő cselekedetei nyilvánvalókká legyenek, hogy Isten szerint való cselekedetek.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Dar cine lucrează după adevăr vine la lumină, pentru ca să i se arate faptele, fiindcă sunt făcute în Dumnezeu.”

But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

Ezután Jézus elment a tanítványaival Júdea földjére, ott tartózkodott velük, és keresztelt.

Ezután elméne Jézus az ő tanítványaival a Júdea földére; és ott időzék velök, és keresztele.

After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

După aceea, Isus şi ucenicii Lui am venit în ţinutul Iudeii; şi stătea acolo cu ei şi boteza.

After this Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and he remained there with them and was baptizing.

János is keresztelt Ainonban, Szálim közelében, mert ott sok volt a víz, és odajöttek az emberek és megkeresztelkedtek.

János pedig szintén keresztel vala Énonban, Sálemhez közel, mert ott sok volt a víz. És oda járulának és megkeresztelkedének.

And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Ioan boteza şi el în Enon, aproape de Salim, pentru că acolo erau multe ape; şi oamenii veneau ca să fie botezaţi.

John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized

Jánost akkor még nem vetették börtönbe.

Mert János még nem vetteték a tömlöczbe.

For John was not yet cast into prison.

Căci Ioan încă nu fusese aruncat în temniţă.

(for John had not yet been put in prison).

Vita támadt János tanítványai és egy zsidó között a tisztulási szertartás felől,

Vetekedés támada azért a János tanítványai és a judeaiak között a mosakodás felől.

Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

Între ucenicii lui Ioan şi între un iudeu s-a iscat o neînţelegere cu privire la curăţare.

Now a discussion arose between some of John’s disciples and a Jew over purification.

és Jánoshoz mentek, és azt mondták neki: Mester, aki veled volt a Jordánon túl, akiről te bizonyságot tettél, íme, az keresztel, és mindenki hozzá megy.

És menének Jánoshoz és mondának néki: Mester! A ki veled vala a Jordánon túl, a kiről te bizonyságot tettél, ímé az keresztel, és hozzá megy mindenki.

And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

Au venit deci la Ioan şi i-au zis: „Învăţătorule, Cel ce era cu tine dincolo de Iordan şi despre care ai mărturisit tu, iată că botează, şi toţi oamenii se duc la El.”

And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.”

János így válaszolt: Az ember csak azt kaphatja, ami a mennyből adatott neki.

Felele János és monda: Az ember semmit sem vehet, hanem ha a mennyből adatott néki.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

Drept răspuns, Ioan i-a zis: „Omul nu poate primi decât ce-i este dat din cer.

John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven.

Ti magatok vagytok a tanúim, hogy megmondtam: Nem én vagyok a Krisztus, hanem előtte küldettem el.

Ti magatok vagytok a bizonyságaim, hogy megmondtam: Nem vagyok én a Krisztus, hanem hogy ő előtte küldettem el.

Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

Voi înşivă îmi sunteţi martori că am zis: „Nu sunt eu Hristosul, ci sunt trimis înaintea Lui.”

You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.’

Akinek menyasszonya van, az a vőlegény, a vőlegény barátja pedig, aki ott áll, és hallja őt, fölöttébb örül a vőlegény szavának. Ez az örömöm beteljesedett.

A kinek jegyese van, vőlegény az; a vőlegény barátja pedig, a ki ott áll és hallja őt, örvendezve örül a vőlegény szavának. Ez az én örömem immár betelt.

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

Cine are mireasă este mire; dar prietenul mirelui, care stă şi-l ascultă, se bucură foarte mult când aude glasul mirelui: şi această bucurie, care este a mea, este deplină.

The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete.

Neki növekednie kell, nekem pedig egyre kisebbé kell lennem.

Annak növekednie kell, nékem pedig alább szállanom.

He must increase, but I must decrease.

Trebuie ca El să crească, iar eu să mă micşorez.

He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Aki felülről jön, mindenkinél feljebb való. Aki a földről való, földi az, és földiekről szól, aki a mennyből jön, mindenkinél feljebb való,

A ki felülről jött, feljebb való mindenkinél. A ki a földről való, földi az és földieket szól; a ki a mennyből jött, feljebb való mindenkinél.

He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

Cel ce vine din cer este mai presus de toţi; cel ce este de pe pământ este pământesc şi vorbeşte ca de pe pământ. Cel ce vine din cer este mai presus de toţi.

He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all.

és arról tesz bizonyságot, amit látott és hallott, de bizonyságtételét senki sem fogadja el.

És arról tesz bizonyságot, a mit látott és hallott; és az ő bizonyságtételét senki sem fogadja be.

And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

El mărturiseşte ce a văzut şi a auzit, şi totuşi nimeni nu primeşte mărturia Lui.

He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony.

Aki azonban elfogadta bizonyságtételét, ezzel megpecsételte, hogy az Isten igaz.

A ki az ő bizonyságtételét befogadja, az megpecsételte, hogy az Isten igaz.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

Cine primeşte mărturia Lui adevereşte prin aceasta că Dumnezeu spune adevărul.

Whoever receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true.

Mert akit az Isten küldött, az Isten beszédeit szólja, és annak Isten mérték nélkül adja a Lelket.

Mert a kit az Isten küldött, az Isten beszédeit szólja; mivelhogy az Isten nem mérték szerint adja a Lelket.

For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

Căci Acela pe care L-a trimis Dumnezeu vorbeşte cuvintele lui Dumnezeu, pentru că Dumnezeu nu-I dă Duhul cu măsură.

For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

Tatăl iubeşte pe Fiul şi a dat toate lucrurile în mâna Lui.

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.

Aki hisz a Fiúban, annak örök élete van, aki pedig nem enged a Fiúnak, nem lát életet, hanem Isten haragja marad rajta.

A ki hisz a Fiúban, örök élete van; a ki pedig nem enged a Fiúnak, nem lát életet, hanem az Isten haragja marad rajta.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Cine crede în Fiul are viaţa veşnică; dar cine nu crede în Fiul nu va vedea viaţa, ci mânia lui Dumnezeu rămâne peste el.”

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
