- And when Saul's son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
- Când a auzit fiul lui Saul că Abner a murit la Hebron, mâinile i-au rămas fără putere, şi tot Israelul s-a înspăimântat.
- When Ish-bosheth, Saul’s son, heard that Abner had died at Hebron, his courage failed, and all Israel was dismayed.

- Két fővezére volt Saul fiának, az egyik neve Baaná volt, a másiké Rékáb. A beéróti Rimmón fiai voltak, Benjámin fiai közül. Mert Beérótot is Benjámin városai közé számlálták.

- And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin.
- Fiul lui Saul avea doi capi peste cetele de război, dintre care unul se numea Baana, iar altul Recab; erau fiii lui Rimon din Beerot, dintre fiii lui Beniamin. – Căci Beerot era privit ca făcând parte din Beniamin,
- Now Saul’s son had two men who were captains of raiding bands; the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, sons of Rimmon a man of Benjamin from Beeroth (for Beeroth also is counted part of Benjamin;

- Jónátánnak, Saul fiának pedig volt egy sánta fia, aki ötesztendős volt, amikor Jezréelből hír jött Saul és Jónátán felől. Akkor fölkapta a dajkája, és elfutott vele. De mivel a dajka gyorsan futott, a gyerek leesett és megsántult. Mefibóset volt a neve.

- And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

- Jonathan, the son of Saul, had a son who was crippled in his feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled, and as she fled in her haste, he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

- And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.

- Now the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, set out, and about the heat of the day they came to the house of Ish-bosheth as he was taking his noonday rest.

- And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.

- And they came into the midst of the house as if to get wheat, and they stabbed him in the stomach. Then Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.

- Mikor ugyanis bementek a házba, ő a hálószobájában, az ágyán feküdt. Leütötték, megölték, levágták a fejét, aztán fogták, és egész éjjel mentek vele a síkságon át.
- Mikor azért ezek a házba bementek, és ő hálószobájában az ágyán feküvék, megsebesítvén megölték őt, s fejét levágva, felvették az ő fejét, és egész éjjel mennek vala a sík mezőn.
- For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and gat them away through the plain all night.
- Au intrat în casă, pe când el era culcat pe pat în odaia lui de dormit, l-au lovit, l-au omorât şi i-au tăiat capul. I-au luat capul şi au mers toată noaptea prin câmpie.
- When they came into the house, as he lay on his bed in his bedroom, they struck him and put him to death and beheaded him. They took his head and went by the way of the Arabah all night,

- Elvitték Ísbóset fejét Dávidhoz Hebrónba, és azt mondták a királynak: Íme, Ísbósetnek, Saul fiának, a te ellenségednek a feje, aki az életedre tört. Az ÚR azonban bosszút állt e mai napon az én uramért, a királyért Saulon és az ő maradékán.

- And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

- and brought the head of Ish-bosheth to David at Hebron. And they said to the king, “Here is the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life. The LORD has avenged my lord the king this day on Saul and on his offspring.”

- Dávid azonban így felelt Rékábnak és Baanának, az ő testvérének, a beérótbeli Rimmón fiainak: Az élő ÚRra mondom, aki megszabadította életemet minden nyomorúságból,
- Felele pedig Dávid Rékábnak és Bahanának, az ő atyjafiának, a Beerótbeli Rimmon fiainak, és monda nékik: Él az Úr, ki az én életemet megszabadította minden nyomorúságból,
- And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

- But David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, “As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my life out of every adversity,

- hogy én elfogattam és megölettem Ciklagban azt, aki nekem hírül hozta, hogy meghalt Saul, és azt hitte, hogy azzal örömet szerez nekem. Ezzel jutalmaztam meg hírmondásáért.
- Hogy én azt, a ki nékem hírt hozott vala, ezt mondván: Ímé meghalt Saul (és azt hitte, hogy azzal nékem örömet szerez), megragadván megöletém őt Siklágban, holott jutalmat kellett volna adnom néki hírmondásáért:
- When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:
- că pe cel ce a venit să-mi spună: „Iată, Saul a murit”, şi care credea că-mi aduce o veste bună, l-am prins şi l-am omorât la Ţiclag, ca să-l răsplătesc pentru ştirea lui;
- when one told me, ‘Behold, Saul is dead,’ and thought he was bringing good news, I seized him and killed him at Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news.

- Most hát tőletek, istentelen emberektől, akik az ágyában, a maga házában öltétek meg az igaz embert, ne kérjem számon az ő vérét, és ne töröljelek el titeket a földről?
- Mennyivel inkább az istentelen embereket, kik ágyában, a maga házában ölték meg az igaz embert? Azért most vajjon ne kivánjam-é meg az ő vérét kezeitekből, hogy titeket eltöröljelek a földről?
- How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?
- şi când nişte răi au ucis pe un om nevinovat în casa lui şi în patul lui, cu cât mai mult îi voi cere sângele din mâinile voastre şi vă voi nimici de pe pământ.”
- How much more, when wicked men have killed a righteous man in his own house on his bed, shall I not now require his blood at your hand and destroy you from the earth?”

- Dávid tehát parancsolt a szolgáinak, hogy öljék meg őket. Azok elvagdalták kezüket és lábukat, és felakasztották őket Hebrónban, a halastó mellett. Ísbóset fejét pedig fölvették, és eltemették Abnér sírboltjába Hebrónban.

- And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ishbosheth, and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron.
- Şi David a poruncit oamenilor lui să-i omoare; le-au tăiat mâinile şi picioarele,şi i-au spânzurat la marginea iazului din Hebron. Au luat apoi capul lui Iş-Boşet şi l-au îngropat în mormântul lui Abner, la Hebron.
- And David commanded his young men, and they killed them and cut off their hands and feet and hanged them beside the pool at Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth and buried it in the tomb of Abner at Hebron.
