Dávid idejében egyszer éhínség volt három egymás után következő évben. Megkérdezte Dávid emiatt az URat, és az ÚR ezt mondta: Saulért és az ő vérszopó háza népéért van ez, mivel megölte a gibeóniakat.

Lőn pedig nagy éhség Dávidnak idejében három egész esztendeig egymás után, és megkeresé [e miatt] Dávid az Urat, és monda az Úr: Saulért és az ő vérszopó háznépéért van ez: mivelhogy megölte a Gibeonitákat.

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

Pe vremea lui David, a fost o foamete care a ţinut trei ani. David a întrebat pe Domnul, şi Domnul a zis: „Din pricina lui Saul şi a casei lui sângeroase, pentru că a ucis pe gabaoniţi, este foametea aceasta.”

Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year. And David sought the face of the LORD. And the LORD said, “There is bloodguilt on Saul and on his house, because he put the Gibeonites to death.”

Hívatta tehát a király a gibeóniakat, és beszélt velük. A gibeóniak pedig nem az Izráel fiai közül valók voltak, hanem az emóriak maradékából, akikkel Izráel fiai esküvel kötöttek szövetséget. De Saul mégis kereste az alkalmat, hogy kiirthassa őket Izráel és Júda fiai iránti buzgalmából.

Hivatá azért a király a Gibeonitákat és szóla nékik: (A Gibeoniták pedig nem az Izráel fiai közül valók valának, hanem az Emoreusok maradékából, a kiknek az Izráel fiai megesküdtek vala; Saul mindazáltal alkalmat keresett vala, hogy azokat levágassa az Izráel és Júda nemzetsége iránti buzgalmából).

And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)

Împăratul a chemat pe gabaoniţi să le vorbească. – Gabaoniţii nu erau dintre copiii lui Israel, ci erau o rămăşiţă a amoriţilor; copiii lui Israel se legaseră faţă de ei cu un jurământ, şi totuşi Saul voise să-i ucidă, în râvna lui pentru copiii lui Israel şi Iuda. –

So the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. Now the Gibeonites were not of the people of Israel but of the remnant of the Amorites. Although the people of Israel had sworn to spare them, Saul had sought to strike them down in his zeal for the people of Israel and Judah.

Dávid tehát megkérdezte a gibeóniakat: Mit tegyek értetek, és mivel engeszteljelek meg titeket, hogy áldjátok az ÚR örökségét?

És monda Dávid a Gibeonitáknak: Mit cselekedjem veletek, és mivel szerezzek engesztelést, hogy áldjátok az Úrnak örökségét?

Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?

David a zis gabaoniţilor: „Ce pot face eu pentru voi şi cu ce să fac ispăşire, ca să binecuvântaţi moştenirea Domnului?”

And David said to the Gibeonites, “What shall I do for you? And how shall I make atonement, that you may bless the heritage of the LORD?”

Ezt válaszolták neki a gibeóniak: Nem kívánunk sem ezüstöt, sem aranyat Saultól és az ő házától, és nem kell nekünk, hogy valakit megöljenek Izráelben. Dávid ezt felelte: Amit mondotok, megteszem nektek.

Felelének néki a Gibeoniták: Nincsen nékünk sem ezüstünk, sem aranyunk Saulnál és az ő házánál, és nem kell mi nékünk, hogy valaki megölettessék Izráelben. És monda: Valamit mondotok, megcselekszem veletek.

And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.

Gabaoniţii i-au răspuns: „Nu voim nici argint, nici aur de la Saul şi de la casa lui şi nici nu este treaba noastră să omorâm pe cineva din Israel.” Şi împăratul a zis: „Ce voiţi, dar, să vă fac?”

The Gibeonites said to him, “It is not a matter of silver or gold between us and Saul or his house; neither is it for us to put any man to death in Israel.” And he said, “What do you say that I shall do for you?”

Ekkor azt mondták a királynak: Annak az embernek, aki pusztított minket, és gonosz tervet forralt ellenünk, hogy megsemmisüljünk, és ne maradjunk fönn Izráel egész területén,

Akkor mondának a királynak: Annak az embernek a [házából,] a ki megemésztett minket, és a ki ellenünk [gonoszt] gondola, hogy megsemmisíttessünk, és meg ne maradhassunk Izráel egész határában;

And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,

Ei au răspuns împăratului: „Fiindcă omul acela ne-a slăbit şi îşi pusese de gând să ne nimicească pentru ca să ne facă să pierim din tot ţinutul lui Israel,

They said to the king, “The man who consumed us and planned to destroy us, so that we should have no place in all the territory of Israel,

annak a maradékai közül adj át nekünk hét embert, hogy fölakasszuk őket az ÚR előtt Saulnak, az ÚR választottjának Gibeájában. A király azt felelte: Átadom őket.

Adj nékünk hét embert az ő maradékai közül, a kiket felakaszszunk az Úr előtt, Saulnak, az Úr választottjának Gibeájában. És monda a király: Én átadom.

Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them.

să ni se dea şapte bărbaţi din fiii lui şi-i vom spânzura înaintea Domnului, la Ghibeea lui Saul, alesul Domnului.” Şi împăratul a zis: „Vi-i voi da.”

let seven of his sons be given to us, so that we may hang them before the LORD at Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of the LORD.” And the king said, “I will give them.”

A király azonban megkímélte Mefibósetet, Jónátán fiát, aki Saul fia volt, azért az ÚR előtt esküvel megerősített szövetségért, amelyet Dávid és Jónátán, Saul fia nevében kötött.

És kedveze a király Méfibósetnek, Jonathán fiának, ki Saul fia vala, az Úr [nevére tett] esküvésért, mely közöttök tétetett, Dávid és Jonathán között, a Saul fia között.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

Împăratul a cruţat pe Mefiboşet, fiul lui Ionatan, fiul lui Saul, pentru jurământul pe care-l făcuseră între ei, înaintea Domnului, David şi Ionatan, fiul lui Saul.

But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Saul’s son Jonathan, because of the oath of the LORD that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

De elvette a király Ricpának, Ajjá leányának két fiát, akiket az Saulnak szült: Armónit és Mefibósetet, továbbá Saul leányának, Míkalnak öt fiát, akiket a mehólai Barzillaj fiának, Adriélnek szült.

De elvevé a király Aja leányának, Rispának két fiát, kiket Saulnak szült vala, Armónit és Méfibósetet, és a Saul leányának, Mikálnak öt fiát, kiket szült Barzillai fiának, Adrielnek, a Méholátból valónak.

But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:

Dar împăratul a luat pe cei doi fii, pe care-i născuse lui Saul, Riţpa, fata lui Aiia, şi anume: Armoni şi Mefiboşet, şi pe cei cinci fii, pe care-i născuse Merab, fata lui Saul, lui Adriel din Mehola, fiul lui Barzilai;

The king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bore to Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Merab the daughter of Saul, whom she bore to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite;

A gibeóniak kezébe adta azokat, akik fölakasztották őket a hegyen, az ÚR előtt. Ezek heten tehát egyszerre pusztultak el. Az aratás első napjaiban, az árpaaratás kezdetén ölték meg őket.

És adá azokat a Gibeoniták kezébe, a kik felakaszták őket a hegyen az Úr előtt. Ezek tehát egyszerre heten pusztulának el, és az aratás első napjaiban, az árpaaratás kezdetén ölettek meg.

And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.

i-a dat în mâinile gabaoniţilor, care i-au spânzurat pe munte, înaintea Domnului. Toţi cei şapte au pierit împreună; au fost omorâţi în cele dintâi zile ale seceratului, la începutul seceratului orzului.

and he gave them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them on the mountain before the LORD, and the seven of them perished together. They were put to death in the first days of harvest, at the beginning of barley harvest.

Ricpá, Ajjá leánya fogott egy zsákruhát és rájuk terítette a kősziklán, az aratás kezdetétől addig, amíg eső nem esett rájuk az égből. Nem engedte, hogy égi madarak szálljanak rájuk nappal, sem hogy mezei vad jöjjön rájuk éjszaka.

Vőn pedig Rispa, Ajának leánya [egy] zsákruhát, és kiteríté azt magának a kősziklán az aratás kezdetétől fogva, míg eső lőn reájok az égből: és nem engedé az égi madarakat azokra szállani nappal, sem pedig a mezei vadakat éjszaka.

And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.

Riţpa, fata lui Aiia, a luat un sac şi l-a întins sub ea peste stâncă, de la începutul seceratului până când a căzut peste ei ploaie din cer; şi a oprit păsările cerului să se apropie de ei în timpul zilei, şi fiarele câmpului în timpul nopţii.

Then Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until rain fell upon them from the heavens. And she did not allow the birds of the air to come upon them by day, or the beasts of the field by night.

Amikor megmondták Dávidnak, amit Ricpá, Ajjá leánya, Saul másodfelesége cselekedett,

És megmondák Dávidnak, a mit Rispa, Ajának leánya, Saulnak ágyasa cselekedett.

And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.

Au înştiinţat pe David despre ce făcuse Riţpa, fata lui Aiia, ţiitoarea lui Saul.

When David was told what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done,

Dávid elment, és elhozatta Saul és Jónátán holttestét a jábés-gileádiaktól, ők ugyanis ellopták azokat Bétseán utcájáról, ahol a filiszteusok fölakasztották őket, amikor megverték Sault Gilbóa hegyén.

Akkor elméne Dávid, és elhozá a Saul és Jonathán tetemeit a Jábes-Gileádbeliektől, kik ellopták vala azokat a Bethsánnak utczájáról, a hol őket a Filiszteusok felakasztották vala, mikor a Filiszteusok megverték Sault a Gilboa hegyén.

And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:

Şi David s-a dus şi a luat oasele lui Saul şi oasele fiului său Ionatan de la locuitorii din Iabesul Galaadului, care le luaseră din piaţa Bet-Şan, unde îi spânzuraseră filistenii când au bătut pe Saul la Ghilboa.

David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of his son Jonathan from the men of Jabesh-gilead, who had stolen them from the public square of Beth-shan, where the Philistines had hanged them, on the day the Philistines killed Saul on Gilboa.

Elhozták onnan Saulnak és fiának, Jónátánnak a tetemét, és összeszedték azoknak a tetemeit is, akiket fölakasztottak.

És elhozták onnét Saulnak és az ő fiának, Jonathánnak tetemeit, és összeszedték azoknak tetemeit is, a kik felakasztattak.

And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.

A luat de acolo oasele lui Saul şi oasele fiului său Ionatan; şi s-au strâns şi oasele celor ce fuseseră spânzuraţi.

And he brought up from there the bones of Saul and the bones of his son Jonathan; and they gathered the bones of those who were hanged.

És eltemették Saulnak és fiának, Jónátánnak a tetemét Benjámin földjén, Célában. Apjának, Kísnek a sírjába temették. Amikor mindent megtettek, amit a király parancsolt, kiengesztelődött Isten az ország iránt.

És eltemeték Saulnak és az ő fiának, Jonathánnak tetemeit a Benjámin földében, Sélában, az ő atyjának, Kisnek sírboltjában; és megtették mindazt, a mit a király parancsolt. És kiengesztelődött ez által Isten az ország iránt.

And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land.

Au îngropat oasele lui Saul şi fiului său Ionatan în ţara lui Beniamin, la Ţela, în mormântul lui Chis, tatăl lui Saul. Şi au făcut tot ce poruncise împăratul. După aceea, Dumnezeu a fost potolit faţă de ţară.

And they buried the bones of Saul and his son Jonathan in the land of Benjamin in Zela, in the tomb of Kish his father. And they did all that the king commanded. And after that God responded to the plea for the land.

Ezután ismét háborút kezdtek a filiszteusok Izráel ellen. Dávid szolgáival együtt elment, harcoltak a filiszteusok ellen, és a küzdelemben Dávid kifáradt.

Ezután ismét háborút kezdének a Filiszteusok Izráel ellen; és elméne Dávid az ő szolgáival együtt, és harczolának a Filiszteusok ellen, annyira, hogy Dávid elfárada.

Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint.

Filistenii au pornit iarăşi cu război împotriva lui Israel. David s-a coborât cu slujitorii lui şi a luptat împotriva filistenilor. David era obosit.

There was war again between the Philistines and Israel, and David went down together with his servants, and they fought against the Philistines. And David grew weary.

Akkor Jisbi-Benób, az óriás leszármazottja, kinek kopjavasa háromszáz rézsékelt nyomott, és új hadi szerszámmal volt felövezve, elhatározta, hogy leteríti Dávidot.

Akkor Jisbi Bénób, ki az óriások maradékából való vala (kinek kopjavasa háromszáz rézsiklust nyomott, és új hadi szerszámmal volt felövezve), elhatározá magában, hogy megöli Dávidot;

And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David.

Şi Işbi-Benob, unul din copiii lui Rafa, a voit să omoare pe David; avea o suliţă în greutate de trei sute de sicli de aramă şi era încins cu o sabie nouă.

And Ishbi-benob, one of the descendants of the giants, whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of bronze, and who was armed with a new sword, thought to kill David.

Abisaj, Cerújá fia azonban segített Dávidnak, leterítette a filiszteust és megölte. Ekkor Dávidnak így esküdtek meg a szolgái: Soha többé nem jöhetsz velünk harcolni, hogy Izráel szövétneke ki ne aludjon.

De Abisai, Sérujának fia segített néki és általüté a Filiszteust és megölé. Akkor esküvéssel fogadák néki a Dávid szolgái, ezt mondván: [Soha] többé velünk hadba nem jössz, hogy az Izráelnek szövétnekét el ne oltsad.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel.

Abişai, fiul Ţeruiei, a venit în ajutorul lui David, a lovit pe filistean şi l-a omorât. Atunci oamenii lui David i-au jurat, zicând: „Să nu mai ieşi cu noi la luptă, ca să nu stingi lumina lui Israel.”

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah came to his aid and attacked the Philistine and killed him. Then David’s men swore to him, “You shall no longer go out with us to battle, lest you quench the lamp of Israel.”

Azután ismét harcoltak a filiszteusokkal Gób városánál, és akkor ölte meg a húsái Szibekkaj az óriások maradékai közül való Szafot.

Lőn azután is harczuk a Filiszteusokkal Gób [városánál,] és Sibbékai, Husát [város]ból való, akkor megölé Sáfot, ki az óriások maradékai közül való vala.

And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant.

După aceea, a mai fost o bătălie la Gob cu filistenii. Atunci Sibecai, huşatitul, a omorât pe Saf, care era unul din copiii lui Rafa.

After this there was again war with the Philistines at Gob. Then Sibbecai the Hushathite struck down Saph, who was one of the descendants of the giants.

Azután újra háború támadt a filiszteusokkal Góbnál, ahol Elhánán, a betlehemi Jaaré-Óregim fia levágta a gáti Góliátot, akinek a kopjanyele olyan vastag volt, mint a szövőszék zugolyfája.

Azután újra lőn háború a Filiszteusokkal Góbnál, hol Elkhanán, a Bethlehemből való Jaharé Oregimnek fia megölé a Gitteus Góliátot, kinek kopjanyele olyan vala, mint a szövőknek zugolyfája.

And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

A mai fost o bătălie la Gob cu filistenii. Şi Elhanan, fiul lui Iaare-Oreghim, din Betleem, a omorât pe Goliat din Gat, care avea o suliţă al cărei mâner era ca sulul de ţesut.

And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite, struck down Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

Gátban is háború tört ki, ott is volt egy óriás termetű férfi, kinek a kezein és a lábain hat-hat ujja volt, azaz összesen huszonnégy, és ő is az óriások leszármazottja volt.

Gáthban is volt háború, hol egy óriás férfi vala, kinek kezein és lábain hat-hat ujjai valának, [azaz] mindenestől huszonnégy, és ez is óriástól származott vala.

And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

A mai fost o bătălie la Gat. Acolo era un om de statură înaltă, care avea şase degete la fiecare mână şi la fiecare picior, în totul douăzeci şi patru, şi care se trăgea tot din Rafa.

And there was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on each hand, and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number, and he also was descended from the giants.

Szidalmazta Izráelt, de Jónátán, Dávid bátyjának, Simeának a fia megölte.

És szidalmazá Izráelt, de megölé Jonathán, Dávid bátyjának, Simeának fia.

And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him.

El a batjocorit pe Israel; şi Ionatan, fiul lui Şimea, fratele lui David, l-a omorât.

And when he taunted Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei, David’s brother, struck him down.

Ezek négyen az óriásoktól származtak Gátban, és mindnyájan Dávidnak vagy szolgáinak a keze által estek el.

Ezek négyen származtak Gáthban az óriástól, kik mind Dávid keze által és az ő szolgáinak kezeik által estek el.

These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.

Aceşti patru oameni erau copiii lui Rafa născuţi la Gat. Au pierit ucişi de mâna lui David şi de mâna slujitorilor lui.

These four were descended from the giants in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.
