Jelentették Jóábnak, hogy a király siratja és gyászolja Absolont.

And it was told Joab, Behold, the king weepeth and mourneth for Absalom.

Au venit şi au spus lui Ioab: „Iată că împăratul plânge şi se jeleşte din pricina lui Absalom.”

It was told Joab, “Behold, the king is weeping and mourning for Absalom.”

Így gyászra fordult a szabadulás azon a napon az egész nép számára, mert meghallották, hogy a király bánkódik a fia miatt.

És gyászra fordult a szabadulás azon a napon az egész népre nézve, mert a nép azon a napon hallja vala, hogy beszélik: Így bánkódik a király az ő fián.

And the victory that day was turned into mourning unto all the people: for the people heard say that day how the king was grieved for his son.

Şi în ziua aceea, biruinţa s-a prefăcut în jale pentru tot poporul, căci în ziua aceea, poporul auzea zicându-se: „Împăratul este mâhnit din pricina fiului său.”

So the victory that day was turned into mourning for all the people, for the people heard that day, “The king is grieving for his son.”

Azon a napon úgy lopakodott be a hadinép a városba, ahogy az a hadinép szokott lopakodni, amely szégyelli magát, hogy elmenekült a harcból.

And the people gat them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.

And the people stole into the city that day as people steal in who are ashamed when they flee in battle.

A király pedig eltakarta az arcát, és fennszóval így kiáltott: Ó, fiam, Absolon! Absolon, én fiam, én fiam!

A király pedig eltakarván orczáját, fenszóval kiáltja vala a király: [Édes] fiam, Absolon! Absolon, [édes] fiam! [szerelmes] fiam!

But the king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!

Împăratul îşi acoperise faţa şi striga în gura mare: „Fiul meu Absalom! Absalom, fiul meu, fiul meu!”

The king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, “O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!”

Akkor Jóáb bement a házba a királyhoz, és azt mondta: Megszégyenítetted e mai napon minden szolgádat, akik pedig ma megmentették az életedet, fiaid és leányaid életét, feleségeid és másodfeleségeid életét.

Akkor méne Joáb a házba a királyhoz, és monda: Megszégyenítetted e mai napon minden te szolgáidnak orczáját, kik e mai napon a te lelkedet megszabadították, és a te fiaidnak és leányidnak lelkeit, és feleségidnek lelkeit, és ágyasidnak lelkeit;

And Joab came into the house to the king, and said, Thou hast shamed this day the faces of all thy servants, which this day have saved thy life, and the lives of thy sons and of thy daughters, and the lives of thy wives, and the lives of thy concubines;

Ioab a intrat în odaia unde era împăratul şi a zis: „Tu acoperi azi de ruşine faţa tuturor slujitorilor tăi, care au scăpat azi viaţa ta, a fiilor tăi şi a fetelor tale, a nevestelor tale şi a ţiitoarelor tale.

Then Joab came into the house to the king and said, “You have today covered with shame the faces of all your servants, who have this day saved your life and the lives of your sons and your daughters and the lives of your wives and your concubines,

Mert azokat szereted, akik gyűlölnek, és azokat gyűlölöd, akik szeretnek téged. Kimutattad ma, hogy előtted a vezérek és a szolgák mind semmik. Mert azt tapasztaltam a mai napon, hogy jobban tetszene neked, ha mi mindnyájan meghaltunk volna ma, de Absolon élne.

Szeretvén azokat, a kik téged gyűlölnek és gyűlölvén azokat, a kik téged szeretnek; mert kijelentetted ma, hogy előtted a vezérek és szolgák mind semmik; mert tapasztaltam ma, hogy csak élne Absolon, ha mi mindnyájan meghaltunk volna is ma, jobbnak tetszenék néked.

In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.

Tu iubeşti pe cei ce te urăsc şi urăşti pe cei ce te iubesc, căci arăţi azi că pentru tine nu sunt nici căpetenii, nici slujitori; şi văd acum că, dacă ar trăi Absalom, şi noi toţi am fi murit în ziua aceasta, lucrul acesta ţi-ar fi plăcut.

because you love those who hate you and hate those who love you. For you have made it clear today that commanders and servants are nothing to you, for today I know that if Absalom were alive and all of us were dead today, then you would be pleased.

Azért most kelj föl, menj ki, és beszélj kedvesen a szolgáiddal, mert az ÚRra esküszöm, hogy ha nem jössz ki, éjjelre egy ember sem marad melletted. Ez mindannál a nyomorúságnál rosszabb lenne számodra, ami veled történt ifjúságodtól fogva mind e mai napig.

Azért most kelj fel, menj ki, és szólj kedvök szerint a te szolgáidnak; mert esküszöm az Úrra, hogy ha ki nem jössz, ez éjjel egy ember sem marad melletted, és ez gonoszabb lesz reád nézve mindama nyomorúságnál, mely veled történt ifjúságodtól fogva, mind e mai napig.

Now therefore arise, go forth, and speak comfortably unto thy servants: for I swear by the LORD, if thou go not forth, there will not tarry one with thee this night: and that will be worse unto thee than all the evil that befell thee from thy youth until now.

Scoală-te, dar, ieşi şi vorbeşte după inima slujitorilor tăi! Căci jur pe Domnul, că, dacă nu ieşi să te arăţi, nu va rămâne un om cu tine în noaptea aceasta; şi aceasta va fi o nenorocire mai rea pentru tine decât toate nenorocirile care ţi s-au întâmplat din tinereţe până acum.”

Now therefore arise, go out and speak kindly to your servants, for I swear by the LORD, if you do not go, not a man will stay with you this night, and this will be worse for you than all the evil that has come upon you from your youth until now.”

Erre fölkelt a király, és leült a kapuban. Hírül adták az egész népnek: Íme, a király a kapuban ül. Akkor az egész hadinép a király elé járult. Izráel pedig elmenekült, ki-ki a maga sátrába.

Felkele azért a király és leüle a kapuban, és hírül adták az egész népnek, mondván: Ímé a király a kapuban ül. Akkor mind az egész nép eleibe jöve a királynak. Izráel pedig elmenekült, kiki az ő sátorába.

Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent.

Atunci împăratul s-a sculat şi a şezut la poartă. Au spus tot poporului: „Iată că împăratul stă la poartă.” Şi tot poporul a venit înaintea împăratului. Însă Israel fugise, fiecare în cortul lui.

Then the king arose and took his seat in the gate. And the people were all told, “Behold, the king is sitting in the gate.” And all the people came before the king. Now Israel had fled every man to his own home.

És nagy veszekedés kezdődött Izráel népének törzsei között, és ezt mondták: A király szabadított meg minket ellenségeink kezéből, a filiszteusok kezéből is ő szabadított meg; de el kellett menekülnie az országból Absolon elől.

Mind az egész nép között pedig nagy veszekedés vala Izráelnek mindenik nemzetségében, kik ezt mondják vala: A király szabadított meg minket a mi ellenségeinknek kezéből, a Filiszteusok kezéből is ő szabadított meg; és most Absolon elől elmenekült az országból.

And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom.

Şi în toate seminţiile lui Israel, tot poporul se certa, zicând: „Împăratul ne-a izbăvit din mâna vrăjmaşilor noştri, el ne-a scăpat din mâna filistenilor; şi acum a trebuit să fugă din ţară dinaintea lui Absalom.

And all the people were arguing throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “The king delivered us from the hand of our enemies and saved us from the hand of the Philistines, and now he has fled out of the land from Absalom.

Absolon pedig, akit fölkentünk, meghalt a harcban. Miért késlekednénk hazahozni a királyt?

Absolon pedig, kit felkentünk vala, meghalt a hadban. Mit késtek azért hazahozni a királyt?

And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why speak ye not a word of bringing the king back?

Şi Absalom, pe care-l unsesem să domnească peste noi, a murit în bătălie: de ce nu puneţi o vorbă pentru întoarcerea împăratului?”

But Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why do you say nothing about bringing the king back?”

Dávid király pedig elküldött Cádók és Ebjátár paphoz, és ezt üzente nekik: Mondjátok ezt a júdabeli véneknek: Miért akartok utolsók lenni a király hazahozásában? Eljutott ugyanis a király házába mindaz, amiről egész Izráel beszélt.

Dávid király pedig elkülde Sádók és Abjátár papokhoz, mondván: Szóljatok a júdabeli véneknek, ezt mondván: Mi az oka, hogy utolsók akartok lenni a királynak hazahozásában? Mert az egész Izráelnek szava eljutott a királynak házába.

And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house.

La rândul său, împăratul David a trimis să spună preoţilor Ţadoc şi Abiatar: „Vorbiţi bătrânilor lui Iuda şi spuneţi-le: „Pentru ce aţi fi voi cei din urmă pentru întoarcerea împăratului în casa lui?” – căci ce se spunea în tot Israelul ajunsese până la împărat. –

And King David sent this message to Zadok and Abiathar the priests: “Say to the elders of Judah, ‘Why should you be the last to bring the king back to his house, when the word of all Israel has come to the king?

Ti a testvéreim vagytok, az én húsom és az én vérem, miért lennétek hát az utolsók a király hazahozásában?

Én atyámfiai vagytok, én csontom és én testem vagytok; miért lesztek tehát utolsók a királynak hazahozásában?

Ye are my brethren, ye are my bones and my flesh: wherefore then are ye the last to bring back the king?

Voi sunteţi fraţii mei, sunteţi os din oasele mele şi carne din carnea mea; pentru ce aţi fi voi cei din urmă pentru aducerea împăratului înapoi?

You are my brothers; you are my bone and my flesh. Why then should you be the last to bring back the king?’

Mondjátok meg Amászának: Nem az én húsom és vérem vagy te is? Úgy cselekedjék velem Isten, és úgy segítsen, hogy te leszel a seregem fővezére minden időben Jóáb helyett.

És Amasának azt mondjátok: Nemde te is nem én csontom és testem vagy-é? Úgy cselekedjék velem az Isten és úgy segéljen, ha nem leszel a sereg fővezére minden időben én előttem Joáb helyett.

And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.

Şi lui Amasa spuneţi-i aşa: „Nu eşti tu oare os din oasele mele şi carne din carnea mea? Să mă pedepsească Dumnezeu cu toată asprimea dacă nu vei fi înaintea mea pentru totdeauna căpetenia oştirii, în locul lui Ioab!”

And say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me and more also, if you are not commander of my army from now on in place of Joab.’”

Így nyerte meg egy emberként Júda minden emberének a szívét, akik üzenetet küldtek a királynak: Térj haza minden szolgáddal együtt!

És megnyeré Júda minden emberének szívét, mint egy emberét, kik elküldének a királyhoz: Jőjj haza mind te, mind a te szolgáid.

And he bowed the heart of all the men of Judah, even as the heart of one man; so that they sent this word unto the king, Return thou, and all thy servants.

David a înmuiat inima tuturor celor din Iuda, de parcă ar fi fost un singur om; şi au trimis să spună împăratului: „Întoarce-te, tu şi toţi slujitorii tăi.”

And he swayed the heart of all the men of Judah as one man, so that they sent word to the king, “Return, both you and all your servants.”

Visszaindult tehát a király, és a Jordánhoz érkezett, a júdaiak pedig Gilgálba mentek, hogy elébe menjenek a királynak, és segítsenek neki átkelni a Jordánon.

Hazatére azért a király; és a mint a Jordánhoz érkezék, Júda férfiai Gilgálba menének, hogy a királynak eleibe jussanak, és általvigyék a királyt a Jordánon.

So the king returned, and came to Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to conduct the king over Jordan.

Împăratul s-a întors şi a ajuns până la Iordan. Şi Iuda s-a dus la Ghilgal, ca să iasă înaintea împăratului şi să-l facă să treacă Iordanul.

So the king came back to the Jordan, and Judah came to Gilgal to meet the king and to bring the king over the Jordan.

A Bahúrimból való benjámini Simei, Gérá fia is sietve elment a júdaiakkal együtt Dávid király elé.

Siete pedig Sémei is, Gérának fia, a Bahurimból való Benjáminita, és ő is a Júda nemzetségével eleibe méne Dávid királynak.

And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, which was of Bahurim, hasted and came down with the men of Judah to meet king David.

Şimei, fiul lui Ghera, beniamitul, care era din Bahurim, s-a grăbit să se coboare cu cei din Iuda înaintea împăratului David.

And Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjaminite, from Bahurim, hurried to come down with the men of Judah to meet King David.

Ezer ember volt vele Benjámin nemzetségéből. Cíbá, a Saul házából való szolga, tizenöt fia és húsz szolgája is vele volt, és a király előtt odaértek a Jordánhoz.

És ezer ember vala ő vele Benjámin [nemzetség]éből, és Siba, a Saul házában való szolga, és tizenöt fia, és húsz szolgája is vele valának, és általmenének a Jordánon a király előtt.

And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over Jordan before the king.

Avea cu el o mie de oameni din Beniamin şi pe Ţiba, mai marele casei lui Saul, şi pe cei cincisprezece fii şi pe cei douăzeci de robi ai lui Ţiba. Au trecut Iordanul în faţa împăratului.

And with him were a thousand men from Benjamin. And Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, with his fifteen sons and his twenty servants, rushed down to the Jordan before the king,

Átkeltek a gázlónál, hogy áthozzák a király háza népét, és hogy kedve szerint cselekedjenek. Simei, Gérá fia pedig térdre borult a király előtt, amikor átkelt a Jordánon.

Kompot is vivének által, hogy a király háznépét általhozzák, és hogy kedve szerint cselekedjenek. Sémei pedig Gérának fia, térdre esék a király előtt, mikor a Jordánon általment.

And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over Jordan;

Luntrea pusă la îndemâna împăratului tocmai pornise ca să-i treacă şi casa dincolo; şi în clipa când era să treacă împăratul Iordanul, Şimei, fiul lui Ghera, s-a închinat înaintea lui.

and they crossed the ford to bring over the king’s household and to do his pleasure. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was about to cross the Jordan,

Ezt mondta a királynak: Ne tulajdonítsa vétkül nekem az én uram az álnokságomat; és ne emlékezzen meg arról, hogy gonoszul cselekedett veled a szolgád azon a napon, amelyen uram, a király Jeruzsálemből eltávozott. Ne vegye ezt szívére a király.

És monda a királynak: Ne tulajdonítsa [vétkül] nékem az én uram [az én] álnokságomat; és ne emlékezzél meg arról, hogy gonoszul cselekedék veled a te szolgád azon a napon, a melyen az én uram, a király Jeruzsálemből kiméne, hogy szívére venné a király;

And said unto the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity unto me, neither do thou remember that which thy servant did perversely the day that my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.

Şi a zis împăratului: „Să nu ţină seamă domnul meu de nelegiuirea mea, să uite că robul tău l-a ocărât în ziua când împăratul, domnul meu, ieşea din Ierusalim şi să nu ţină seama împăratul de lucrul acesta!

and said to the king, “Let not my lord hold me guilty or remember how your servant did wrong on the day my lord the king left Jerusalem. Do not let the king take it to heart.

Tudja a te szolgád, hogy vétkezett, de látod, József egész házából én jöttem ma elsőnek, hogy a királynak, az én uramnak elébe menjek.

Mert elismeri a te szolgád, hogy én vétkeztem, és ímé az egész József nemzetsége közül én jöttem ma először, hogy a királynak, az én uramnak eleibe menjek.

For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the first this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.

Căci robul tău mărturiseşte că a păcătuit. Şi iată, vin astăzi, cel dintâi din toată casa lui Iosif, înaintea împăratului, domnul meu.”

For your servant knows that I have sinned. Therefore, behold, I have come this day, the first of all the house of Joseph to come down to meet my lord the king.”

De megszólalt Abisaj, Cerújá fia, és ezt mondta: Nem ölöd-e meg Simeit azért, mert szidalmazta az ÚR fölkentjét?

És felele Abisai, Sérujának fia és monda: Nem ölöd-é meg azért Sémeit, hogy káromlásokat szólott az Úrnak felkentje ellen?

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed?

Atunci Abişai, fiul Ţuriei, a luat cuvântul şi a zis: „Nu trebuie oare să moară Şimei pentru că a blestemat pe unsul Domnului?”

Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered, “Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD’s anointed?”

Dávid azonban azt mondta: Mi közöm hozzátok, Cerújá fiai, hogy ellenkezni akartok ma velem? Miért kellene ma embert ölni Izráelben? Mintha nem tudnám, hogy ma lettem újból Izráel királya!

Monda pedig Dávid: Mi közöm van veletek, Sérujának fiai, hogy ellenkezni akartok velem ma? Ma kellene-é embert ölni Izráelben? Mintha nem tudnám, hogy ma lettem [újonnan] Izráel királya.

And David said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah, that ye should this day be adversaries unto me? shall there any man be put to death this day in Israel? for do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?

Dar David a zis: „Ce am eu cu voi, fiii Ţuriei, şi pentru ce vă arătaţi astăzi potrivnicii mei? Astăzi să se omoare oare vreun om în Israel? Nu ştiu eu că împărăţesc azi peste Israel?”

But David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should this day be as an adversary to me? Shall anyone be put to death in Israel this day? For do I not know that I am this day king over Israel?”

Majd ezt mondta a király Simeinek: Nem halsz meg. És megesküdött neki a király.

És monda a király Sémeinek: Nem halsz meg; és megesküvék néki a király.

Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king sware unto him.

Şi împăratul a zis lui Şimei: „Nu vei muri!” Împăratul i-a jurat că nu-l va omorî.

And the king said to Shimei, “You shall not die.” And the king gave him his oath.

Mefibóset, Saul fia is elébe jött a királynak. Sem lábát, sem szakállát nem gondozta, ruháját ki nem mosatta attól a naptól fogva, hogy a király eltávozott, egészen addig a napig, amelyen békességgel haza nem jött.

Méfibóset is, Saulnak fia eleibe jöve a királynak, és sem lábait, sem szakálát meg nem tisztította, sem ruháját meg nem mosatta attól a naptól fogva, hogy a király elment vala, mindama napig, a melyen békességgel haza jöve.

And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.

Mefiboşet, fiul lui Saul, s-a coborât şi el înaintea împăratului. Nu-şi îngrijise nici picioarele, nici barba, nici nu-şi spălase hainele, din ziua când plecase împăratul până în ziua când se întorcea în pace.

And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king. He had neither taken care of his feet nor trimmed his beard nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came back in safety.

Amikor Jeruzsálemből kijött a király elé, ezt mondta neki a király: Miért nem jöttél el velem, Mefibóset?

És lőn, hogy mikor Jeruzsálemből kijött eleibe a királynak, monda néki a király: Miért nem jöttél volt el velem Méfibóset?

And it came to pass, when he was come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said unto him, Wherefore wentest not thou with me, Mephibosheth?

Când s-a dus înaintea împăratului la Ierusalim, împăratul i-a zis: „Pentru ce n-ai venit cu mine, Mefiboşet?”

And when he came to Jerusalem to meet the king, the king said to him, “Why did you not go with me, Mephibosheth?”

Ő így felelt: Uram, király, a szolgám csapott be engem. Mert én, a te szolgád, azt mondtam: Fölnyergeltetem a szamarat, fölülök rá, és elmegyek a királlyal, mert sánta a te szolgád.

És ő felele: Uram király, az én szolgám csalt meg engem; mert azt mondotta a te szolgád: Megnyergeltetem a szamarat, és felülök rá, és elmegyek a királylyal; mert sánta a te szolgád.

And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that I may ride thereon, and go to the king; because thy servant is lame.

Şi el a răspuns: „Împărate, domnul meu, slujitorul meu m-a înşelat, căci robul tău, care este olog, zisese: „Voi pune şaua pe măgar, voi încăleca pe el şi voi merge cu împăratul.”

He answered, “My lord, O king, my servant deceived me, for your servant said to him, ‘I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go with the king.’ For your servant is lame.

Ő azonban rágalmazott engem, a te szolgádat az én uram, a király előtt. De az én uram, a király olyan, mint Isten angyala. Azért tégy úgy, ahogy neked tetszik!

És rágalmazott [engem], a te szolgádat az én uram, a király előtt; de az én uram, a király [olyan,] mint az Istennek angyala: azért cselekedjél úgy, a mint néked tetszik!

And he hath slandered thy servant unto my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God: do therefore what is good in thine eyes.

Şi el a înnegrit pe robul tău la domnul meu, împăratul. Dar domnul meu, împăratul, este ca un înger al lui Dumnezeu. Fă ce vei crede.

He has slandered your servant to my lord the king. But my lord the king is like the angel of God; do therefore what seems good to you.

Mert atyám egész háza népe csak halált érdemelt volna uramtól, a királytól, de te szolgádat mégis azok közé helyezted, akik asztalodnál esznek. Azért micsoda követelésem és micsoda kérésem volna még a király előtt?

Mert jóllehet az én atyámnak egész háznépe csak halált érdemlett volna az én uramtól, a királytól, mégis a te szolgádat azok közé helyezéd, a kik asztalodnál esznek. Azért micsoda követelésem és micsoda kérésem volna még a király előtt?

For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?

Căci toţi cei din casa tatălui meu au fost nişte oameni vrednici de moarte înaintea împăratului, domnul meu; şi totuşi tu ai pus pe robul tău în rândul celor ce mănâncă la masă cu tine. Ce drept mai pot avea eu şi ce am să cer eu împăratului?”

For all my father’s house were but men doomed to death before my lord the king, but you set your servant among those who eat at your table. What further right have I, then, to cry to the king?”

And the king said unto him, Why speakest thou any more of thy matters? I have said, Thou and Ziba divide the land.

Împăratul i-a zis: „Ce mai vorbeşti atâta? Am spus: „Tu şi Ţiba veţi împărţi pământurile.”

And the king said to him, “Why speak any more of your affairs? I have decided: you and Ziba shall divide the land.”

Erre Mefibóset azt felelte a királynak: Elveheti akár az egészet, csakhogy az én uram, a király békességben hazajöhetett!

És monda Méfibóset a királynak: Elveheti az egészet, csakhogy az én uram, a király békességben haza jöhete.

And Mephibosheth said unto the king, Yea, let him take all, forasmuch as my lord the king is come again in peace unto his own house.

Şi Mefiboşet a zis împăratului: „Să ia chiar totul, căci împăratul, domnul meu, se întoarce în pace acasă.”

And Mephibosheth said to the king, “Oh, let him take it all, since my lord the king has come safely home.”

A gileádi Barzillaj is eljött Rógelimból, hogy átkeljen a királlyal a Jordánon, hogy átkísérje őt a Jordánon.

And Barzillai the Gileadite came down from Rogelim, and went over Jordan with the king, to conduct him over Jordan.

Barzilai, galaaditul, s-a coborât din Roghelim şi a trecut Iordanul împreună cu împăratul, ca să-l petreacă până dincolo de Iordan.

Now Barzillai the Gileadite had come down from Rogelim, and he went on with the king to the Jordan, to escort him over the Jordan.

Barzillaj pedig igen öreg ember volt, nyolcvanesztendős, és ő tartotta el a királyt, amíg Mahanaimban lakott, mert igen gazdag ember volt.

Barzillai pedig igen vén [ember] vala, nyolczvan esztendős, és ő táplálta vala a királyt, míg Mahanáimban lakott; mert igen gazdag ember vala.

Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even fourscore years old: and he had provided the king of sustenance while he lay at Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

Barzilai era foarte bătrân, în vârstă de optzeci de ani. El îngrijise de împărat în timpul şederii lui la Mahanaim, căci era un om foarte bogat.

Barzillai was a very aged man, eighty years old. He had provided the king with food while he stayed at Mahanaim, for he was a very wealthy man.

A király azt mondta Barzillajnak: Gyere velem, és eltartalak Jeruzsálemben.

Monda pedig a király Barzillainak: Jere velem és eltartlak téged magamnál Jeruzsálemben.

And the king said unto Barzillai, Come thou over with me, and I will feed thee with me in Jerusalem.

Împăratul a zis lui Barzilai: „Vino cu mine şi te voi hrăni la mine, în Ierusalim.”

And the king said to Barzillai, “Come over with me, and I will provide for you with me in Jerusalem.”

Barzillaj azonban azt mondta a királynak: Ugyan hány évig élek még, hogy fölmehetnék a királlyal Jeruzsálembe?

Barzillai pedig monda a királynak: Mennyi az én életem esztendeinek napja, hogy én felmehetnék a királylyal Jeruzsálembe?

And Barzillai said unto the king, How long have I to live, that I should go up with the king unto Jerusalem?

Dar Barzilai a răspuns împăratului: „Câţi ani voi mai trăi, ca să mă sui cu împăratul la Ierusalim?

But Barzillai said to the king, “How many years have I still to live, that I should go up with the king to Jerusalem?

Nyolcvanesztendős vagyok már, hogy tegyek még különbséget jó és rossz között; vagy érzem-e én, a te szolgád még az ízét annak, amit eszem és iszom; vagy tudok-e gyönyörködni még az énekesek és az énekesnők hangjában? Csak terhedre lenne a szolgád neked, uram, király!

Nyolczvan esztendős vagyok ma, avagy képes vagyok-é még különbséget tenni a jó és rossz között, vagy érzem-é, a te szolgád, ízét annak, a mit eszem és iszom, vagy gyönyörködhetem-é az éneklő férfiak és asszonyok hangjaiban? Miért lenne terhére a te szolgád az én uramnak, a királynak?

I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

Eu sunt astăzi în vârstă de optzeci de ani. Pot eu să mai cunosc ce este bun şi ce este rău? Poate robul tău să mai aibă vreun gust pentru ce mănâncă şi bea? Pot eu să mai aud glasul cântăreţilor şi cântăreţelor? Şi pentru ce să mai fie robul tău o povară pentru domnul meu, împăratul?

I am this day eighty years old. Can I discern what is pleasant and what is not? Can your servant taste what he eats or what he drinks? Can I still listen to the voice of singing men and singing women? Why then should your servant be an added burden to my lord the king?

Szolgád csak éppen átkel a Jordánon a királlyal. Miért adna nekem a király ilyen nagy jutalmat?

Egy kevés ideig [óhajtana] a Jordánon átmenni a királylyal a te szolgád; miért adna azért a király nékem ily nagy jutalmat?

Thy servant will go a little way over Jordan with the king: and why should the king recompense it me with such a reward?

Robul tău va merge puţin dincolo de Iordan cu împăratul. De altfel, pentru ce mi-ar face împăratul această binefacere?

Your servant will go a little way over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king repay me with such a reward?

Hadd menjen vissza, kérlek, a te szolgád, és hadd haljak meg az én városomban, ahol apám és anyám sírja van. De itt van, íme, szolgád, Kimhám, menjen el ő a királlyal, az én urammal, és cselekedjél úgy vele, ahogy neked jónak tetszik.

Hadd menjen vissza, kérlek, a te szolgád, és hadd haljak meg az én városomban, az én atyámnak és anyámnak temetőhelyében. Hanem inkább ímhol a te szolgád, Kimhám, menjen el ő a királylyal, az én urammal, és cselekedjél úgy vele, a mint néked jónak tetszik.

Let thy servant, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in mine own city, and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy servant Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king; and do to him what shall seem good unto thee.

Să se întoarcă robul tău, şi să mor în cetatea mea, lângă mormântul tatălui meu şi mamei mele! Dar iată că robul tău Chimham va trece cu împăratul, domnul meu; fă ce vei crede pentru el.”

Please let your servant return, that I may die in my own city near the grave of my father and my mother. But here is your servant Chimham. Let him go over with my lord the king, and do for him whatever seems good to you.”

Erre azt mondta a király: Velem jöhet Kimhám, és úgy bánok vele, ahogy neked tetszik. És amit csak kívánsz tőlem, megteszem neked.

És monda a király: Jőjjön el velem Kimhám és azt cselekszem vele, a mi néked tetszik; és valamit tőlem kivánsz, megcselekeszem veled.

And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto thee: and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, that will I do for thee.

Împăratul a zis: „Chimham să treacă împreună cu mine şi voi face pentru el ce vei vrea: tot ce vei dori de la mine, îţi voi da!”

And the king answered, “Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do for him whatever seems good to you, and all that you desire of me I will do for you.”

Mikor pedig átkelt a Jordánon az egész nép, és a király is átkelt, megcsókolta a király Barzillajt és megáldotta, ő pedig visszatért lakóhelyére.

Mikor pedig általkelt a Jordánon az egész nép, és a király is általment, megcsókolván a király Barzillait, megáldá őt, ki visszatére az ő helyére.

And all the people went over Jordan. And when the king was come over, the king kissed Barzillai, and blessed him; and he returned unto his own place.

După ce tot poporul a trecut Iordanul şi după ce l-a trecut şi împăratul, împăratul a sărutat pe Barzilai şi l-a binecuvântat. Şi Barzilai s-a întors acasă.

Then all the people went over the Jordan, and the king went over. And the king kissed Barzillai and blessed him, and he returned to his own home.

Átkelt tehát a király Gilgálba, és vele ment Kimhám. Júda egész népe és Izráel népének a fele kísérte a királyt.

Általméne pedig a király Gilgálba, és Kimhám ő vele megy vala és Júdának egész népe, a kik a királyt átszállították, sőt Izráel népének is fele.

Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him: and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

Împăratul s-a îndreptat spre Ghilgal, însoţit de Chimham. Tot poporul lui Iuda şi jumătate din poporul lui Israel petrecuse pe împărat dincolo de Iordan.

The king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him. All the people of Judah, and also half the people of Israel, brought the king on his way.

És íme, az összes izráeli férfi eljött a királyhoz, és azt mondták neki: Miért loptak el téged júdai testvéreink, és hozták át a Jordánon a királyt, a háza népét és vele együtt Dávid minden emberét?

És ímé, Izráelnek minden férfiai eljövének a királyhoz és mondák a királynak: Miért loptak el téged a mi atyánkfiai, a Júda nemzetsége? És hozták által a királyt és az ő háznépét a Jordánon, és Dávidnak minden embereit vele egyetemben?

And, behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said unto the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen thee away, and have brought the king, and his household, and all David's men with him, over Jordan?

Dar toţi bărbaţii lui Israel au venit la împărat şi i-au zis: „Pentru ce te-au furat fraţii noştri, bărbaţii lui Iuda, şi au trecut pe împărat peste Iordan, împreună cu casa lui şi cu toţi oamenii lui David?”

Then all the men of Israel came to the king and said to the king, “Why have our brothers the men of Judah stolen you away and brought the king and his household over the Jordan, and all David’s men with him?”

Júda férfiai így feleltek Izráel férfiainak: Azért, mert a király hozzánk áll közelebb. Hát miért nehezteltek ezért? Talán megvendégelt minket ezért a király? Vagy megajándékozott-e valamilyen ajándékkal?

Felelének pedig mindnyájan a Júda férfiai az Izráel férfiainak: [Azért,] mert a király közelebb áll hozzám; és miért neheztelsz ezért a dologért? Avagy megvendégelt-é azért a király? Avagy megajándékozott-é valami ajándékkal?

And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us: wherefore then be ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's cost? or hath he given us any gift?

Toţi bărbaţii lui Iuda au răspuns bărbaţilor lui Israel: „Fiindcă împăratul ne este rudă; şi ce aţi găsit aici, ca să vă mâniaţi? Am trăit noi pe cheltuiala împăratului? Ne-a făcut el daruri?”

All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is our close relative. Why then are you angry over this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s expense? Or has he given us any gift?”

Izráel férfiai így feleltek Júda férfiainak: Tízszeres jogunk van a királyhoz, és Dávidra nézve is elsőbbségünk van veletek szemben. Miért vettetek semmibe minket? Nem mi tettük-e szóvá legelőször, hogy hozzuk haza a királyunkat? De erősebb volt Júda férfiainak a szava Izráel férfiainak a szavánál.

Felelvén pedig az Izráel férfiai a Júda férfiainak, mondának: Tízszeres részem van nékem a királyhoz, és Dávidra nézve is elsőbbségem van feletted. Miért tartottál azért semminek engem? Avagy nem én tettem-é legelőször szóvá, hogy hozzuk haza a mi királyunkat? De mindazáltal erősebb lőn a Júda férfiainak szava, az Izráel férfiainak szavánál.

And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

Şi bărbaţii lui Israel au răspuns bărbaţilor lui Iuda: „Împăratul este de zece ori mai mult al nostru, şi chiar la David avem mai mult drept decât voi. Pentru ce ne-aţi nesocotit? N-am fost noi cei dintâi care am spus să se întoarcă împăratul nostru?” Şi bărbaţii lui Iuda au vorbit cu mai multă asprime decât bărbaţii lui Israel.

And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, “We have ten shares in the king, and in David also we have more than you. Why then did you despise us? Were we not the first to speak of bringing back our king?” But the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
