Elküldte azért az ÚR Dávidhoz Nátán prófétát. Az bement hozzá, és ezt mondta neki: Két ember volt egy városban, az egyik gazdag, a másik szegény.

Elküldé azért az Úr Dávidhoz Nátán [prófétát,] ki bemenvén hozzá, monda néki: Két ember vala egy városban, egyik gazdag, a másik szegény.

And the LORD sent Nathan unto David. And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

Domnul a trimis pe Natan la David. Şi Natan a venit la el şi i-a zis: „Într-o cetate erau doi oameni, unul bogat şi altul sărac.

And the LORD sent Nathan to David. He came to him and said to him, “There were two men in a certain city, the one rich and the other poor.

A gazdagnak felettébb sok juha és ökre volt.

A gazdagnak felette sok juhai és ökrei valának;

The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

Bogatul avea foarte multe oi şi foarte mulţi boi.

The rich man had very many flocks and herds,

A szegénynek pedig semmije sem, csak egy kis nőstény báránykája. Úgy vette és táplálta, és nála nevelkedett föl gyermekeivel együtt. Saját falatjából evett, és a poharából ivott. Az ölében aludt, és olyan volt neki, mintha a leánya volna.

A szegénynek pedig semmije nem vala egyéb egy kis nőstény báránykájánál, a melyet vett és táplált vala, s felnevelkedett nála gyermekeivel együtt; saját falatjából evett és poharából ivott és keblén aludt, és néki olyan vala, mintegy leánya.

But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

Săracul n-avea nimic decât o mieluşea, pe care o cumpărase; o hrănea şi o creştea la el împreună cu copiii lui; ea mânca din aceeaşi bucată de pâine cu el, bea din acelaşi pahar cu el, dormea la sânul lui şi o privea ca pe fata lui.

but the poor man had nothing but one little ewe lamb, which he had bought. And he brought it up, and it grew up with him and with his children. It used to eat of his morsel and drink from his cup and lie in his arms, and it was like a daughter to him.

Mikor pedig átutazó vendége érkezett a gazdagnak, sajnált az ő ökrei és juhai közül hozatni, hogy a hozzá érkezett vendégnek ételt készítsen belőle. Ezért elvette a szegénytől a bárányát, és azt főzette meg a hozzá érkezett vendégnek.

And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

A venit un călător la omul acela bogat. Şi bogatul nu s-a îndurat să se atingă de oile sau de boii lui, ca să pregătească un prânz călătorului care venise la el; ci a luat oaia săracului şi a gătit-o pentru omul care venise la el.”

Now there came a traveler to the rich man, and he was unwilling to take one of his own flock or herd to prepare for the guest who had come to him, but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”

Akkor Dávid haragra gyúlt az ellen az ember ellen, és azt mondta Nátánnak: Él az ÚR, hogy halál fia az az ember, aki ezt cselekedte!

Akkor felgerjede Dávidnak haragja az ember ellen, és monda Nátánnak: Él az Úr, hogy halálnak fia az az ember, a ki azt cselekedte.

And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

David s-a aprins foarte tare de mânie împotriva omului acestuia şi a zis lui Natan: „Viu este Domnul, că omul care a făcut lucrul acesta este vrednic de moarte.

Then David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this deserves to die,

And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

Ekkor Nátán ezt mondta Dávidnak: Te vagy az az ember! Azt mondja az ÚR, Izráel Istene: Én kentelek föl, hogy király légy Izráel fölött, és megszabadítottalak Saul kezéből.

És monda Nátán Dávidnak: Te vagy az az ember! Ezt mondja az Úr, Izráelnek Istene: Én kentelek fel téged, hogy király légy Izráel felett, és megszabadítottalak téged a Saul kezéből.

And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

Şi Natan a zis lui David: „Tu eşti omul acesta! Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel: „Eu te-am uns împărat peste Israel şi te-am scăpat din mâna lui Saul;

Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

Neked adtam urad házát, és a kebledre urad feleségeit, ezenfölül neked adtam Izráel és Júda házát. S ha ez még kevés lett volna, még adtam volna hozzá sok mást is.

És néked adtam a te urad házát, és a te uradnak feleségeit a te kebeledbe; ennek felette néked adtam Izráelnek és Júdának házát; [és] ha még ez kevés [volt,] ezt s ezt adtam volna néked.

And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

te-am făcut stăpân pe casa stăpânului tău, am pus la sânul tău nevestele stăpânului tău şi ţi-am dat casa lui Israel şi Iuda. Şi dacă ar fi fost puţin atâta, aş mai fi adăugat.

And I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your arms and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were too little, I would add to you as much more.

Miért vetetted meg az ÚR beszédét, hogy olyan dolgot cselekedjél, amely utálatos őelőtte? A hettita Úriást fegyverrel vágattad le, és feleségét feleségül vetted magadnak, őt magát pedig Ammón fiainak a fegyverével ölted meg.

Miért vetetted meg az Úrnak beszédét, oly dolgot cselekedvén, mely útálatos ő előtte? A Hitteus Uriást fegyverrel ölted meg, és az ő feleségét magadnak vetted feleségül; magát pedig az Ammon fiainak fegyverével ölted meg.

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

Pentru ce, dar, ai dispreţuit tu cuvântul Domnului, făcând ce este rău înaintea Lui? Ai lovit cu sabia pe Urie, hetitul; ai luat de nevastă pe nevasta sa, şi pe el l-ai ucis cu sabia fiilor lui Amon.

Why have you despised the word of the LORD, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Most tehát soha ne távozzék el a fegyver a házadból, mivel megutáltál engem, és a hettita Úriás feleségét elvetted, hogy feleséged legyen.

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

Acum, niciodată nu se va depărta sabia din casa ta, pentru că M-ai dispreţuit şi pentru că ai luat de nevastă pe nevasta lui Urie, hetitul.”

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’

Ezt mondja az ÚR: Íme, én éppen a saját házadból bocsátok reád csapásokat. Feleségeidet szemed láttára veszem el, másvalakinek adom, és az fényes nappal fog a feleségeiddel hálni.

Ezt mondja az Úr: Ímé én épen a saját házadból bocsátok reád csapásokat, és feleségeidet szemed láttára veszem el, és adom más felebarátodnak, és hál a te feleségeiddel fényes nappal.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: „Iată, din casa ta voi ridica nenorocirea împotriva ta şi voi lua sub ochii tăi pe nevestele tale şi le voi da altuia care se va culca cu ele în faţa soarelui acestuia.

Thus says the LORD, ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

Noha te titkon cselekedtél, én egész Izráel előtt és napvilágnál cselekszem ezt.

Mert te titkon cselekedtél; de én az egész Izráel előtt és napvilágnál cselekeszem azt.

For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

Căci ai lucrat pe ascuns; Eu însă voi face lucrul acesta în faţa întregului Israel şi în faţa soarelui.”

For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun.’”

Akkor Dávid azt mondta Nátánnak: Vétkeztem az ÚR ellen! Nátán azt válaszolta Dávidnak: Az ÚR is elvette bűnödet, nem fogsz meghalni.

Monda azért Dávid Nátánnak: Vétkeztem az Úr ellen! És monda Nátán Dávidnak: Az Úr is elvette a te bűnödet, nem fogsz meghalni.

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

David a zis lui Natan: „Am păcătuit împotriva Domnului!” Şi Natan a zis lui David: „Domnul îţi iartă păcatul, nu vei muri.

David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” And Nathan said to David, “The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

Mindazáltal, mivel ezzel a tetteddel okot adtál az ÚR ellenségeinek a gyalázkodásra, fiad, aki neked született, meg kell, hogy haljon.

Mindazáltal, mivel alkalmat adtál a gyalázásra az Úr ellenségeinek e dologban: a te fiad is, a ki lett néked, bizonynyal meghal.

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

Dar, pentru că ai făcut pe vrăjmaşii Domnului să-L hulească, săvârşind fapta aceasta, fiul care ţi s-a născut va muri.”

Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the LORD, the child who is born to you shall die.”

Ezután Nátán hazament. Az ÚR betegséggel verte meg a gyermeket, akit Úriás volt felesége szült Dávidnak.

Ezekután elméne Nátán az ő házához. És megveré az Úr a gyermeket, a kit az Uriás felesége szült vala Dávidnak; és megbetegedék.

And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.

Şi Natan a plecat acasă. Domnul a lovit copilul pe care-l născuse lui David nevasta lui Urie, şi a fost greu bolnav.

Then Nathan went to his house. And the LORD afflicted the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and he became sick.

Dávid könyörgött Istennek a gyermekért, böjtölt is, és amikor bement, a földön feküdt éjjel.

És könyörge Dávid az Istennek a gyermekért, és bőjtöle is Dávid, és bemenvén, a földön feküvék éjjel.

David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.

David s-a rugat lui Dumnezeu pentru copil şi a postit; şi când a venit acasă, toată noaptea a stat culcat pe pământ.

David therefore sought God on behalf of the child. And David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground.

Mikor az ő házának a vénei fölkeltek, és bementek hozzá, hogy fölemeljék a földről, nem akart fölkelni, és nem is evett velük kenyeret.

Felkelének azért az ő házának vénei [és menének] ő hozzá, hogy felemeljék őt a földről: de nem akará, és nem is evék ő velek kenyeret.

And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.

Bătrânii casei au stăruit de el să se scoale de la pământ; dar n-a voit şi n-a mâncat nimic cu ei.

And the elders of his house stood beside him, to raise him from the ground, but he would not, nor did he eat food with them.

Hetednapra azután meghalt a gyermek. Szolgái azonban nem merték megmondani Dávidnak, hogy meghalt a gyermek, mert azt gondolták magukban: Íme, még mikor a gyermek élt, és szóltunk neki, akkor sem figyelt a szavunkra. Hogyan mondanánk meg neki, hogy meghalt a gyermek? Még kárt tenne magában!

Hetednapra azért meghala a gyermek, és nem merik vala a Dávid szolgái néki megmondani, hogy meghalt a gyermek, mert ezt mondják vala: Ímé, még mikor a gyermek élt, szólottunk néki és meg sem hallotta szónkat; hogyan mondanánk meg néki, hogy meghalt a gyermek, hogy [magának] bajt szerezzen?

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

A şaptea zi, copilul a murit. Slujitorii lui David s-au temut să-i dea de veste că a murit copilul. Căci ziceau: „Când copilul trăia încă, i-am vorbit şi nu ne-a ascultat: cum să îndrăznim să-i spunem: „A murit copilul”? Are să se întristeze şi mai mult.”

On the seventh day the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, “Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he did not listen to us. How then can we say to him the child is dead? He may do himself some harm.”

Amikor észrevette Dávid, hogy szolgái suttognak, megértette Dávid, hogy meghalt a gyermek. Azt mondta a szolgáinak: Meghalt-e a gyermek? Azok így feleltek: Meghalt.

Látván pedig Dávid, hogy az ő szolgái suttognak, eszébe vevé Dávid, hogy meghalt a gyermek, és monda Dávid az ő szolgáinak: Meghalt-é a gyermek? Azok mondának: Meghalt.

But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

David a băgat de seamă că slujitorii lui vorbeau în şoaptă între ei şi a înţeles că murise copilul. El a zis slujitorilor săi: „A murit copilul?” Şi ei au răspuns: „A murit.”

But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David understood that the child was dead. And David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” They said, “He is dead.”

Erre Dávid fölkelt a földről, megmosdott, megkente magát, másik ruhát vett magára, majd bement az ÚR házába, és imádkozott. Azután bement a maga házába, és kérésére kenyeret vittek elé, és evett.

Felkelvén azért Dávid a földről, megmosdék és megkené magát és más ruhát vőn magára, és bemenvén az Úr házába, imádkozék. Azután beméne a maga házába, és kérésére kenyeret vivének eleibe, és evék.

Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

Atunci David s-a sculat de la pământ. S-a spălat, s-a uns şi şi-a schimbat hainele; apoi s-a dus în Casa Domnului şi s-a închinat. Întorcându-se acasă, a cerut să i se dea să mănânce şi a mâncat.

Then David arose from the earth and washed and anointed himself and changed his clothes. And he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. He then went to his own house. And when he asked, they set food before him, and he ate.

Akkor ezt mondták neki a szolgái: Miért tetted ezt? Míg a gyermek élt, böjtöltél és sírtál, most pedig, hogy meghalt a gyermek, fölkeltél, és kenyeret ettél.

Akkor mondának az ő szolgái néki: Mi dolog ez, a mit míveltél? Míg a gyermek élt, bőjtöltél és sírtál; most pedig, hogy meghalt a gyermek, felkelél és kenyeret ettél.

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

Slujitorii lui i-au zis: „Ce înseamnă ceea ce faci? Când trăia copilul, posteai şi plângeai; şi acum, când a murit copilul, te scoli şi mănânci!”

Then his servants said to him, “What is this thing that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive; but when the child died, you arose and ate food.”

Ő így felelt: Amíg a gyermek élt, böjtöltem és sírtam, mert azt gondoltam, ki tudja, talán könyörül rajtam az ÚR, és életben marad a gyermek.

Monda ő: Míg a gyermek élt, addig bőjtöltem és sírtam; mert ezt mondottam: Ki tudja, talán az Úr könyörül rajtam, és megél a gyermek.

And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

El a răspuns: „Când trăia copilul, posteam şi plângeam, căci ziceam: „Cine ştie dacă nu Se va îndura Domnul de mine şi dacă nu va trăi copilul?”

He said, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept, for I said, ‘Who knows whether the LORD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?’

De most, hogy meghalt, vajon miért böjtölnék? Vajon visszahozhatom-e azzal? Én megyek őhozzá, de ő nem jön ide vissza hozzám.

De most, [hogy] meghalt, vajjon miért bőjtölnék? Vajjon visszahozhatom-é azzal? Én megyek ő hozzá, de ő nem jő ide vissza én hozzám.

But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

Acum, când a murit, pentru ce să mai postesc? Pot să-l întorc în viaţă? Eu mă voi duce la el, dar el nu se va întoarce la mine.”

But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.”

Majd megvigasztalta Dávid a feleségét, Betsabét, bement hozzá, és vele hált. Az asszony fiút szült és Salamonnak nevezte el; és az ÚR szerette őt.

És megvigasztalá Dávid az ő feleségét, Bethsabét, és beméne hozzá, és vele hála. És ő szült fiat, és nevezé annak nevét Salamonnak, és az Úr szereté azt,

And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

David a mângâiat pe nevasta sa Bat-Şeba şi a intrat la ea şi s-a culcat cu ea. Ea a născut un fiu, pe care l-a numit Solomon şi care a fost iubit de Domnul.

Then David comforted his wife, Bathsheba, and went in to her and lay with her, and she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. And the LORD loved him

Dávid Nátán prófétára bízta őt, aki az ÚR tetszésére Jedídjának nevezte.

A mint megizente vala Nátán próféta által, ki nevezé az ő nevét Jedidjának, az Úrért.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.

El l-a încredinţat în mâinile prorocului Natan, şi Natan i-a pus numele Iedidia pentru Domnul.

and sent a message by Nathan the prophet. So he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.

Jóáb pedig harcolt Ammón fiainak a városa, Rabbá ellen, és bevette a királyi várost.

Joáb pedig hadakozék az Ammon fiainak [városa,] Rabba ellen, és megvevé a királyi várost.

And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.

Ioab, care împresura Raba fiilor lui Amon, a pus mâna pe cetatea împărătească

Now Joab fought against Rabbah of the Ammonites and took the royal city.

Jóáb követeket küldött Dávidhoz ezzel az üzenettel: Hadakoztam Rabbá ellen, és be is vettem a város egy részét, ahol a víz van.

És követeket külde Dávidhoz Joáb ilyen követséggel: Hadakoztam Rabba ellen, és meg is vettem a város[nak egyik részét, a hol a víz van.]

And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.

şi a trimis soli lui David să-i spună: „Am început lupta împotriva Rabei şi am şi pus stăpânire pe cetatea apelor;

And Joab sent messengers to David and said, “I have fought against Rabbah; moreover, I have taken the city of waters.

Most azért gyűjtsd össze a nép maradékát, szállj táborba a város ellen, foglald el azt, nehogy én foglaljam el, és esetleg rólam nevezzék el a várost.

Most azért gyűjtsd egybe a népnek maradékát, és szállj táborba a város ellen, foglald el azt, nehogy valamiképen, ha én foglalnám el, róla neveztessék az én nevem.

Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.

strânge acum cealaltă parte a poporului, tăbărăşte împotriva cetăţii şi ia-o, ca să n-o iau eu şi să vină asupra mea cinstea.”

Now then gather the rest of the people together and encamp against the city and take it, lest I take the city and it be called by my name.”

Ekkor összegyűjtötte Dávid az egész hadinépet, és Rabbá alá ment, harcolt ellene, és elfoglalta.

Egybegyűjté azért Dávid mind az egész népet, és aláméne Rabba ellen, és harczola ellene, és elfoglalá azt.

And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.

David a strâns tot poporul şi a mers asupra cetăţii Raba; a bătut-o şi a luat-o.

So David gathered all the people together and went to Rabbah and fought against it and took it.

És elvette a koronát a királyuk fejéről. Ennek a súlya egy talentum arany volt, drágakövekkel volt kirakva, és Dávid fejére került. A városból is nagyon sok zsákmányt hozott el.

És elvevé az ő királyuknak koronáját annak fejéről, melynek súlya egy tálentum arany volt, és drága [kövekkel vala rakva,] és lőn a Dávid fején, és a városból felette sok zsákmányt hozott el.

And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.

A luat cununa de pe capul împăratului ei, care cântărea un talant de aur şi era împodobită cu pietre scumpe. Au pus-o pe capul lui David, care a luat o foarte mare pradă din cetate.

And he took the crown of their king from his head. The weight of it was a talent of gold, and in it was a precious stone, and it was placed on David’s head. And he brought out the spoil of the city, a very great amount.

A népet pedig, amely benne volt, kihozatta. Egy részét fűrésszel, vasboronával vagy fejszével dolgoztatta, másokat pedig téglaégető kemencékhez vitt. Így bánt valamennyi ammóni várossal. Azután Dávid egész hadinépével hazament Jeruzsálembe.

A népet pedig, mely benne [vala,] kihozatá; és némelyét fűrész, némelyét vasborona alá, némelyét fejsze alá vetteté; némelyeket mészkemenczén vitt által, és így cselekedék az Ammon fiainak minden városával. Haza méne azután Dávid és az egész nép Jeruzsálembe.

And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.
