Majd Ahitófel ezt mondta Absolonnak: Engedj kiválasztanom tizenkétezer embert, hogy fölkeljek, és üldözzem Dávidot ma éjjel.

Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:

Moreover, Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Let me choose twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue David tonight.

Megtámadom, amíg fáradt és erőtlen a keze. Megrettentem, és megfutamodik az egész hadinép, amely vele van; magát a királyt pedig megölöm.

És megtámadom őt, míg fáradt és erőtlen kezű; megrettentem őt, és megfutamodik az egész nép, mely vele van; és a királyt magát megölöm.

And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only:

Îl voi lua pe neaşteptate, când va fi obosit şi va avea mâinile slăbite, îl voi înspăimânta, şi tot poporul care este cu el va fugi. Voi lovi numai pe împărat

I will come upon him while he is weary and discouraged and throw him into a panic, and all the people who are with him will flee. I will strike down only the king,

És visszavezetem hozzád az egész népet, mert az egésznek a visszatérése attól a férfitól függ, akit üldözöl. Akkor majd békességben lesz az egész nép.

És visszavezetem te hozzád az egész népet, mert az egésznek visszatérése attól a férfiútól függ, a kit te üldözöl; és akkor az egész nép békességben lesz.

And I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.

şi voi aduce înapoi la tine pe tot poporul; moartea omului pe care-l urmăreşti va face ca toţi să se întoarcă, şi tot poporul va fi în pace.”

and I will bring all the people back to you as a bride comes home to her husband. You seek the life of only one man, and all the people will be at peace.”

Igen tetszett ez a beszéd Absolonnak és Izráel összes vénjének.

Igen tetszék e beszéd Absolonnak és Izráel minden véneinek.

And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.

Cuvintele acestea au plăcut lui Absalom şi tuturor bătrânilor lui Israel.

And the advice seemed right in the eyes of Absalom and all the elders of Israel.

De Absolon azt mondta: Hívjátok ide az arki Húsajt is, és hallgassuk meg, hogy ő mit mond.

És monda Absolon: Hívják ide mégis az Arkeabeli Khúsait is, és hallgassuk meg, mit szól ő is.

Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith.

Dar Absalom a zis: „Chemaţi şi pe Huşai, architul, şi să auzim şi ce va zice el.”

Then Absalom said, “Call Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear what he has to say.”

Amikor Húsaj megérkezett Absolonhoz, így szólt hozzá Absolon: Ahitófel ilyen tanácsot adott; megfogadjuk-e az ő szavát, vagy sem? Szólj hozzá!

És mikor megérkezék Khúsai Absolonhoz, monda néki Absolon ilyenképen: Akhitófel ilyen tanácsot ád, megfogadjuk-é az ő szavát, vagy ne? Szólj hozzá.

And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou.

Huşai a venit la Absalom, şi Absalom i-a zis: „Iată cum a vorbit Ahitofel; trebuie să facem ce a zis el, sau nu? Spune tu!”

And when Hushai came to Absalom, Absalom said to him, “Thus has Ahithophel spoken; shall we do as he says? If not, you speak.”

And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time.

Then Hushai said to Absalom, “This time the counsel that Ahithophel has given is not good.”

És így folytatta Húsaj: Tudod magad is, hogy apád és az ő emberei igen erős vitézek, és igen elkeseredett szívűek, mint a kölykeitől megfosztott medve a mezőn. Azonfölül apád tapasztalt harcos, aki nem alszik együtt a néppel.

És monda Khúsai: Tudod magad, hogy a te atyád és az ő emberei igen erős vitézek és igen elkeseredett szívűek, mint a kölykeitől megfosztott medve a mezőn. Annakfelette a te atyád igen hadakozó ember, ki nem alszik a néppel együtt.

For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.

Şi Huşai a zis: „Tu cunoşti vitejia tatălui tău şi a oamenilor lui; sunt înfuriaţi ca o ursoaică de pe câmp, căreia i s-au răpit puii. Tatăl tău este un om de război şi nu va petrece noaptea cu poporul;

Hushai said, “You know that your father and his men are mighty men, and that they are enraged, like a bear robbed of her cubs in the field. Besides, your father is expert in war; he will not spend the night with the people.

Ilyenkor ő valamilyen barlangban vagy valami más helyen rejtőzik. Ha kezdetben csak néhányan esnek is el a népből, valaki meghallhatja, és azt kezdi majd mondani: Vereséget szenvedett Absolon népe!

Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.

iată, acum stă ascuns în vreo groapă sau în vreun alt loc. Şi dacă, de la început, vor cădea unii sub loviturile lor, se va auzi îndată şi se va zice: „Poporul care urma pe Absalom a fost înfrânt!”

Behold, even now he has hidden himself in one of the pits or in some other place. And as soon as some of the people fall at the first attack, whoever hears it will say, ‘There has been a slaughter among the people who follow Absalom.’

És még az erős vitéz is, akinek olyan a szíve, mint az oroszláné, igen megrémül. Mert egész Izráel tudja, hogy apád igen erős vitéz, és azok is, akik vele vannak, erős vitézek.

És még az erős vitéz is, kinek szíve olyan, mint az oroszlánnak szíve, igen megrémül; mert az egész Izráel tudja, hogy a te atyád igen erős vitéz, és azok is, a kik vele vannak, erős vitézek.

And he also that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.

Atunci cel mai viteaz, chiar dacă ar fi avut o inimă de leu, se va înspăimânta; căci tot Israelul ştie că tatăl tău este un viteaz şi că are nişte viteji cu el.

Then even the valiant man, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will utterly melt with fear, for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and that those who are with him are valiant men.

Azért azt tanácsolom, hogy gyűjtsd magadhoz egész Izráelt Dántól fogva mind Beérsebáig, hogy annyian legyenek, mint a homok a tenger partján, és te magad is menj el a harcba.

Én azért azt tanácsolom, hogy gyűjtsd magadhoz az egész Izráelt Dántól fogva mind Bersebáig, oly számban, mint a tenger partján való föveny; és magad is menj el a hadba.

Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beersheba, as the sand that is by the sea for multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person.

Sfatul meu este, dar, ca tot Israelul să se strângă la tine, de la Dan până la Beer-Şeba, o mulţime ca nisipul de pe marginea mării. Şi tu însuţi să mergi la luptă.

But my counsel is that all Israel be gathered to you, from Dan to Beersheba, as the sand by the sea for multitude, and that you go to battle in person.

Akkor aztán támadjuk meg őt azon a helyen, ahol éppen megtaláljuk, és úgy lepjük meg, ahogy a harmat a földre száll, hogy ne maradjon meg se ő, se azok közül senki, akik vele vannak.

So shall we come upon him in some place where he shall be found, and we will light upon him as the dew falleth on the ground: and of him and of all the men that are with him there shall not be left so much as one.

Dacă vom ajunge la el în vreun loc unde l-am găsi, vom cădea peste el cum cade roua pe pământ; şi nu va scăpa niciunul, nici el, nici vreunul din oamenii care sunt cu el.

So we shall come upon him in some place where he is to be found, and we shall light upon him as the dew falls on the ground, and of him and all the men with him not one will be left.

Ha pedig egy városba szaladna, akkor egész Izráel húzzon ki köteleket a város körül, és rántsuk le azt a patakba, hogy még csak egy kövecske se maradjon meg ott.

Ha pedig városba szaladna, mind az egész Izráel köteleket húzzon a város körül, és vonjuk azt a patakba, hogy még csak egy kövecskét se találjanak ott.

Moreover, if he be gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.

Dacă va fugi într-o cetate, tot Israelul va duce funii la cetatea aceea, şi o vom trage în pârâu, până când nu va mai rămâne nicio piatră în ea.”

If he withdraws into a city, then all Israel will bring ropes to that city, and we shall drag it into the valley, until not even a pebble is to be found there.”

Absolon és Izráel férfiai ezt mondták: Jobb az arki Húsaj tanácsa Ahitófel tanácsánál. Mert az ÚR rendelte úgy, hogy elvessék Ahitófel tanácsát, amely jó volt, hogy veszedelmet hozzon az ÚR Absolonra.

És monda Absolon és Izráelnek minden férfia: Jobb az Arkeabeli Khúsainak tanácsa az Akhitófel tanácsánál. Az Úr parancsolta vala pedig, hogy az Akhitófel tanácsa elvettessék, mely jó vala, hogy veszedelmet hozzon az Úr Absolonra.

And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.

Absalom şi toţi oamenii lui Israel au zis: „Sfatul lui Huşai, architul, este mai bun decât sfatul lui Ahitofel.” Dar Domnul hotărâse să nimicească bunul sfat al lui Ahitofel, ca să aducă nenorocirea peste Absalom.

And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel.” For the LORD had ordained to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, so that the LORD might bring harm upon Absalom.

Húsaj pedig elmondta Cádók és Ebjátár papnak: Ilyen és ilyen tanácsot adott Ahitófel Absolonnak és Izráel véneinek. Én pedig ilyen és ilyen tanácsot adtam.

Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled.

Huşai a zis preoţilor Ţadoc şi Abiatar: „Ahitofel a dat cutare şi cutare sfat lui Absalom şi bătrânilor lui Israel, şi eu i-am sfătuit cutare şi cutare lucru.

Then Hushai said to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, “Thus and so did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel, and thus and so have I counseled.

Azért sietve küldjetek el, és üzenjétek meg Dávidnak: Ne maradj ma éjjel a puszta felé vezető gázlóknál, hanem mindenképpen kelj át, különben elpusztulhat a király és az egész nép, amely vele van!

Azért sietve küldjetek el, és izenjétek meg Dávidnak ilyen szóval: Ne maradj ez éjjel a pusztának mezején, hanem inkább menj át, hogy valamiképen el ne nyelettessék a király és az egész nép, mely vele van.

Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.

Acum trimiteţi îndată ştire lui David şi spuneţi-i: „Nu sta noaptea în câmpiile pustiului, ci du-te mai departe, ca nu cumva împăratul şi tot poporul care este cu el să fie în primejdie să piară.”

Now therefore send quickly and tell David, ‘Do not stay tonight at the fords of the wilderness, but by all means pass over, lest the king and all the people who are with him be swallowed up.’”

Jónátán pedig és Ahimaac a Rógél-forrásnál várakoztak. Odament egy szolgálóleány, aki elmondta ezeket nekik, ők pedig elmentek, és hírt vittek róla Dávid királynak. Mert nem akartak bemenni a városba és ott mutatkozni.

Jonathán pedig és Akhimás a Rógel forrásánál állanak vala, a hová méne egy leányzó, ki megmondá [ezeket] nékik, és ők elmenvén, megmondák Dávid királynak, mert nem akarják vala magokat megmutatni, bemenvén a városba.

Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by Enrogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a wench went and told them; and they went and told king David.

Ionatan şi Ahimaaţ stăteau lângă fântâna Roguel. Slujnica venea şi le aducea ştiri, iar ei se duceau să dea de veste împăratului David; căci nu îndrăzneau să se arate şi să intre în cetate.

Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz were waiting at En-rogel. A female servant was to go and tell them, and they were to go and tell King David, for they were not to be seen entering the city.

Mégis meglátta őket egy szolga, és hírül adta Absolonnak. Erre nagy sietve eltávoztak onnan, és bementek egy ember házába Bahúrim városában, akinek az udvarán volt egy kút, és oda ereszkedtek le.

Meglátá mindazáltal őket egy szolga, és megmondá Absolonnak: Elmenének azért ők ketten sietséggel, és menének egy ember házába Bahurim [városában,] kinek tornáczában volt egy kút, és oda szállának alá.

Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man's house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; whither they went down.

Dar o dată i-a zărit un tânăr şi a spus lui Absalom. Ei au plecat amândoi în grabă şi au ajuns la Bahurim, la casa unui om care avea o fântână în curte, şi s-au coborât în ea.

But a young man saw them and told Absalom. So both of them went away quickly and came to the house of a man at Bahurim, who had a well in his courtyard. And they went down into it.

Az asszony pedig vett egy ponyvát, és leterítette a kút száját, majd darált árpát hintett rá, így nem lehetett semmit észrevenni.

Az asszony pedig egy terítőt vőn és beteríté a kút száját, arra pedig darált árpát hintett; és nem vevék észre.

And the woman took and spread a covering over the well's mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known.

Femeia a luat o învelitoare, a întins-o peste gura fântânii şi a împrăştiat urluială pe ea, ca să nu dea nimic de bănuit.

And the woman took and spread a covering over the well’s mouth and scattered grain on it, and nothing was known of it.

Absolon szolgái bementek ehhez az asszonyhoz a házba, és megkérdezték: Hol van Ahimaac és Jónátán? Az asszony így felelt nekik: Átgázoltak a patakon. Erre keresni kezdték őket, de mivel nem találták, visszatértek Jeruzsálembe.

Menének pedig az Absolon szolgái az asszonyhoz a házba, és mondának: Hol van Akhimás és Jonathán? Felele nékik az asszony: Általgázolának a patakon. És keresék [őket], de mivel nem találták, visszatérének Jeruzsálembe.

And when Absalom's servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.

Slujitorii lui Absalom au intrat în casă la femeia aceasta şi au zis: „Unde sunt Ahimaaţ şi Ionatan?” Femeia le-a răspuns: „Au trecut pârâul.” Au căutat, şi negăsindu-i, s-au întors la Ierusalim.

When Absalom’s servants came to the woman at the house, they said, “Where are Ahimaaz and Jonathan?” And the woman said to them, “They have gone over the brook of water.” And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.

Miután azok eltávoztak, kijöttek a kútból, elmentek, és hírül adták ezeket Dávid királynak. Ezt mondták Dávidnak: Gyorsan keljetek át a vízen, mert ezt és ezt a tanácsot adta ellenetek Ahitófel.

And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled against you.

După plecarea lor, Ahimaaţ şi Ionatan au ieşit din fântână şi s-au dus să dea de ştire împăratului David. Au zis lui David: „Sculaţi-vă şi grăbiţi-vă de treceţi apa, căci Ahitofel a plănuit cutare şi cutare lucru împotriva voastră.”

After they had gone, the men came up out of the well, and went and told King David. They said to David, “Arise, and go quickly over the water, for thus and so has Ahithophel counseled against you.”

Akkor fölkelt Dávid egész népével, és átkelt a Jordánon. Mire megvirradt, egy sem maradt, aki át ne kelt volna a Jordánon.

Felkele azért Dávid és mind a vele való nép, és általkelének a Jordánon, míg megvirrada; egy sem hiányzék, a ki által nem ment volna a Jordánon.

Then David arose, and all the people that were with him, and they passed over Jordan: by the morning light there lacked not one of them that was not gone over Jordan.

David şi tot poporul care era cu el s-au sculat şi au trecut Iordanul; când se lumina de ziuă, nu rămăsese niciunul care să nu fi trecut Iordanul.

Then David arose, and all the people who were with him, and they crossed the Jordan. By daybreak not one was left who had not crossed the Jordan.

Amikor látta Ahitófel, hogy tanácsát nem hajtották végre, megnyergelte szamarát, fölkelt, és hazament a városába. Majd elrendezte háza népének a dolgát, azután fölakasztotta magát. Így halt meg, és eltemették apja sírjába.

Látván pedig Akhitófel, hogy az ő tanácsát nem hajtották végre: megnyergelé szamarát, és felkelvén elméne házához, az ő városába; és elrendezvén háznépé[nek dolgát], megfojtá magát, és meghala; és eltemetteték az ő atyjának sírjába.

And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.

Ahitofel, când a văzut că sfatul lui n-a fost urmat, a pus şaua pe măgar şi a plecat acasă în cetatea lui. Şi-a pus casa în rânduială şi s-a spânzurat. Când a murit, l-au îngropat în mormântul tatălui său.

When Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey and went off home to his own city. He set his house in order and hanged himself, and he died and was buried in the tomb of his father.

Dávid már Mahanaimba érkezett, amikor Absolon és vele együtt Izráel férfiai átkeltek a Jordánon.

És midőn Dávid Mahanáimba érkezett, átkele Absolon a Jordánon, ő és Izráelnek férfiai mindnyájan ő vele.

Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom passed over Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.

David ajunsese la Mahanaim, când a trecut Absalom Iordanul, însoţit de toţi bărbaţii lui Israel.

Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom crossed the Jordan with all the men of Israel.

Absolon Jóáb helyett Amászát tette fővezérré a sereg fölött. Amászá egy Jitrá nevű izráeli férfi fia volt, aki bement Abígalhoz, Náhás leányához, aki Cerújának, Jóáb anyjának volt a nővére.

És Amasát tevé Absolon fővezérré a sereg felett Joáb helyett. Amasa pedig egy férfi fia vala, a kinek a neve az Izráelita Jithra vala, a ki beméne Abigailhoz, a Náhás leányához, ki Sérujának, a Joáb anyjának nővére vala.

And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host instead of Joab: which Amasa was a man's son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab's mother.

Absalom a pus pe Amasa în fruntea oştirii, în locul lui Ioab. Amasa era fiul unui om numit Itra, israelitul, care intrase la Abigail, fata lui Nahaş şi sora Ţeruiei, mama lui Ioab.

Now Absalom had set Amasa over the army instead of Joab. Amasa was the son of a man named Ithra the Ishmaelite, who had married Abigal the daughter of Nahash, sister of Zeruiah, Joab’s mother.

So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.

And Israel and Absalom encamped in the land of Gilead.

Amikor Dávid Mahanaimba jutott, íme, az ammóni Rabbá városából való Sóbi, Náhás fia, a Lódebárból való Mákír, Ammiél fia és a Gileád tartományában, Rógelimben lakó Barzillaj

Lőn pedig, hogy mikor Dávid Mahanáimba jutott, ímé Sóbi, az Ammoniták [városából], Rabbából való Náhásnak fia, és a Ló- Debár [városból] való Ammielnek fia, Mákir, és a Gileád [tartományában,] Rógelimban lakozó Barzillai.

And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim,

Când a ajuns David la Mahanaim, Şobi, fiul lui Nahaş, din Raba fiilor lui Amon, Machir, fiul lui Amiel, din Lodebar, şi Barzilai, galaaditul, din Roghelim,

When David came to Mahanaim, Shobi the son of Nahash from Rabbah of the Ammonites, and Machir the son of Ammiel from Lo-debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim,

Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentiles, and parched pulse,

brought beds, basins, and earthen vessels, wheat, barley, flour, parched grain, beans and lentils,

mézet, vajat, juh- és tehénsajtot hozott Dávidnak és a vele levő népnek, hogy ehessenek. Mert ezt mondták: A nép éhes, fáradt, és eltikkadt a pusztában.

Mézet, vajat, juhot, ünősajtokat hozának Dávidnak és az ő vele való népnek eleségül. Mert azt gondolják vala magokban: A nép éhes, fáradt és eltikkadt a pusztában.
