Nehémiásnak, Hakaljá fiának beszédei. A huszadik esztendő Kiszlév havában, amikor Súsán várában voltam,

Nehémiásnak, a Hakália fiának beszédei. És lőn a Kislév [nevű] hóban, a huszadik esztendőben, hogy én Susán várában valék.

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,

Istorisirea lui Neemia, fiul lui Hacalia. În luna Chişleu, în al douăzecilea an, pe când eram în capitala Susa,

The words of Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah. Now it happened in the month of Chislev, in the twentieth year, as I was in Susa the citadel,

hozzám jött egyik atyámfia, Hanáni, és vele együtt néhány Júdából való férfi. Tudakozódtam tőlük a fogságból maradékként megmenekült júdaiak felől és Jeruzsálem felől.

És jöve hozzám Hanáni, egy az én atyámfiai közül, és vele együtt férfiak Júdából, és tudakozódtam tőlök a fogságból megszabadult maradék zsidók felől és Jeruzsálem felől.

That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.

a venit Hanani, unul din fraţii mei, şi câţiva oameni din Iuda. I-am întrebat despre iudeii scăpaţi care mai rămăseseră din robie şi despre Ierusalim.

that Hanani, one of my brothers, came with certain men from Judah. And I asked them concerning the Jews who escaped, who had survived the exile, and concerning Jerusalem.

Azt mondták nekem: A fogságból megmenekült júdaiak maradéka ott, abban a tartományban nagy nyomorúságban és gyalázatban van. Azonfelül Jeruzsálem várfala csupa rés, kapui pedig tűzben égtek el!

És mondának nékem: A fogságból megszabadult maradék zsidók ott abban a tartományban nagy nyomorúságban és gyalázatban vannak; és azonfelül Jeruzsálem kőfala lerontatott, s kapui tűzben égtek meg!

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

Ei mi-au răspuns: „Cei ce au mai rămas din robie sunt acolo în ţară, în cea mai mare nenorocire şi ocară; zidurile Ierusalimului sunt dărâmate, şi porţile sunt arse de foc.”

And they said to me, “The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire.”

Amikor meghallottam ezeket, napokon át ültem, sírtam és keseregtem, böjtöltem és imádkoztam a menny Istene előtt.

Hogy pedig meghallám e beszédeket, leültem és sírtam és keseregtem napokon át, s bőjtölék és imádkozám a mennynek Istene előtt;

And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

Când am auzit aceste lucruri, am şezut jos, am plâns şi m-am jelit multe zile. Am postit şi m-am rugat înaintea Dumnezeului cerurilor

As soon as I heard these words I sat down and wept and mourned for days, and I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

Ezt mondtam: Kérlek, URam, mennynek Istene, nagy és rettenetes Isten, aki irgalmasan megtartod a szövetséget azokkal, akik téged szeretnek, és parancsolataidat megtartják!

És mondék: Kérlek Uram, mennynek Istene, nagy és rettenetes Isten! Ki megtartja a szövetséget és irgalmasságot az őt szeretőknek és az ő parancsolatait megtartóknak;

And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

şi am zis: „Doamne Dumnezeul cerurilor, Dumnezeule mare şi înfricoşat, Tu care ţii legământul Tău şi eşti plin de îndurare faţă de cei ce Te iubesc şi păzesc poruncile Tale!

And I said, “O LORD God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments,

Ó, legyen figyelmes a füled, és szemed legyen nyitva, hallgasd meg szolgád könyörgését, mellyel most éjjel-nappal könyörgök hozzád szolgáidért, Izráel fiaiért, és vallást teszek Izráel fiainak bűneiről, melyekkel vétkeztünk ellened; én is, és atyám háza népe is vétkezett!

Oh, legyen figyelmetes a te füled, és szemeid legyenek nyitva, hogy meghallgassad a te szolgádnak könyörgését, melylyel én könyörgök most előtted nappal és éjjel Izráel fiaiért, szolgáidért, és vallást tészek az Izráel fiainak bűneiről, melyekkel vétkeztünk te ellened, én is s az én atyámnak háza vétkeztünk!

Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.

Să ia aminte urechea Ta, şi ochii să-Ţi fie deschişi: ascultă rugăciunea pe care Ţi-o face robul Tău acum, zi şi noapte, pentru robii Tăi, copiii lui Israel, mărturisind păcatele copiilor lui Israel, păcatele făcute de noi împotriva Ta; căci eu şi casa tatălui meu am păcătuit.

let your ear be attentive and your eyes open, to hear the prayer of your servant that I now pray before you day and night for the people of Israel your servants, confessing the sins of the people of Israel, which we have sinned against you. Even I and my father’s house have sinned.

Igen súlyosan vétkeztünk ellened, mert nem tartottuk meg a parancsolatokat, rendeléseket és törvényeket, amelyeket szolgádnak, Mózesnek parancsoltál.

Felette igen vétkeztünk ellened, és nem tartottuk meg a parancsolatokat, és a rendeléseket és a törvényeket, melyeket parancsoltál volt Mózesnek a te szolgádnak.

We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.

Te-am supărat şi n-am păzit poruncile Tale, legile şi orânduirile pe care le-ai dat robului Tău Moise.

We have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the rules that you commanded your servant Moses.

Ó, emlékezzél meg arról a beszédről, amelyet szolgádnak, Mózesnek parancsoltál ily módon: Ha ti hűtlenkedtek, szétszórlak benneteket a népek között.

Oh, emlékezzél meg arról a beszédről, melyet parancsoltál Mózesnek, a te szolgádnak, mondván: [Ha] ti vétkeztek, én [meg] elszélesztelek titeket a népek között;

Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:

Adu-Ţi aminte de cuvintele acestea pe care le-ai dat robului Tău Moise să le spună: „Când veţi păcătui, vă voi risipi printre popoare;

Remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples,

Ha pedig megtértek hozzám, megtartjátok parancsolataimat, és megcselekszitek azokat, még ha az ég szélén lennének is szétszórva gyermekeitek, onnan is összegyűjtöm őket, és beviszem őket arra a helyre, amelyet kiválasztottam, hogy nevem ott lakozzék.

Ha pedig megtérendetek hozzám és megtartjátok parancsolataimat és cselekeszitek azokat: még ha az égnek utolsó szélén volnának is szétszórt [gyermekeitek,] onnan is összegyűjtöm őket és beviszem arra a helyre, melyet választottam, hogy lakozzék ott az én nevem!

But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

dar, dacă vă veţi întoarce la Mine şi dacă veţi păzi poruncile Mele şi le veţi împlini, atunci, chiar dacă veţi fi izgoniţi la marginea cea mai depărtată a cerului, de acolo vă voi aduna şi vă voi aduce iarăşi în locul pe care l-am ales ca să locuiască Numele Meu acolo.”

but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.’

Ők a te szolgáid és a te néped, akiket megszabadítottál nagy erőd és erős kezed által!

És ők a te szolgáid és a te néped, a kiket megszabadítottál a te nagy erőd által és a te erős kezed által!

Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

Ei sunt robii Tăi şi poporul Tău pe care l-ai răscumpărat prin puterea Ta cea mare şi prin mâna Ta cea tare.

They are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power and by your strong hand.

Kérlek, URam, füled legyen figyelmes szolgád könyörgésére és szolgáid könyörgésére, akik kedvüket lelik abban, hogy félik nevedet, és adj most, kérlek, jó előmenetelt szolgádnak, és engedd, hogy kegyelmet találjon ama férfi előtt. Én ugyanis a király pohárnoka voltam.

Kérlek oh Uram, legyen figyelmetes a te füled a te szolgádnak könyörgésére és szolgáidnak könyörgésökre, a kik kívánják félni a te nevedet, és adj, kérlek, jó szerencsét most a te szolgádnak, és engedd, hogy kegyelmet találjon ama férfiú előtt. Én ugyanis a királynak pohárnoka voltam.

O LORD, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king's cupbearer.

Ah! Doamne, să ia aminte urechea Ta la rugăciunea robului Tău şi la rugăciunea robilor Tăi, care vor să se teamă de Numele Tău! Dă astăzi izbândă robului Tău şi fă-l să capete trecere înaintea omului acestuia!” Pe atunci eram paharnicul împăratului.

O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants who delight to fear your name, and give success to your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.” Now I was cupbearer to the king.
