Miközben Ezsdrás imádkozott, sírva és földre borulva bűnvallást tett Isten háza előtt, igen nagy tömegben sereglettek hozzá Izráelből férfiak, asszonyok és gyermekek, és a nép is keservesen sírt.

És mikor imádkozék Ezsdrás és vallást tőn, sírva és földre borulva az Isten háza előtt, sereglének ő hozzá Izráelből igen nagy gyülekezetben férfiak és asszonyok és gyermekek, mert síra a nép is sokat és keservesen.

Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.

Pe când stătea Ezra plângând şi cu faţa la pământ înaintea Casei lui Dumnezeu şi făcea această rugăciune şi mărturisire, se strânsese la el o mulţime foarte mare de oameni din Israel, bărbaţi, femei şi copii, şi poporul vărsa multe lacrimi.

While Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, a very great assembly of men, women, and children, gathered to him out of Israel, for the people wept bitterly.

Akkor megszólalt az Élám fiai közül való Sekanjá, Jehiél fia, és azt mondta Ezsdrásnak: Vétkeztünk Istenünk ellen, hogy idegen feleséget vettünk magunknak e föld népei közül. De mégis van reménysége Izráelnek, ennek ellenére is!

És szóla Sekhánia, Jéhielnek fia, az Élám fiai közül, és monda Ezsdrásnak: Mi vétkeztünk a mi Istenünk ellen, hogy idegen feleségeket vettünk magunknak e föld népei közül: mindazáltal van reménysége Izráelnek, mind e mellett is!

And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.

Atunci Şecania, fiul lui Iehiel, dintre fiii lui Elam, a luat cuvântul şi a zis lui Ezra: „Am păcătuit împotriva Dumnezeului nostru ducându-ne la femei străine care fac parte din popoarele ţării. Dar Israel n-a rămas fără nădejde în această privinţă.

And Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, addressed Ezra: “We have broken faith with our God and have married foreign women from the peoples of the land, but even now there is hope for Israel in spite of this.

Kössünk hát szövetséget Istenünkkel úgy, hogy elbocsátjuk mindezeket az asszonyokat és a tőlük születetteket, az én uramnak és azoknak tanácsa szerint, akik reszketve gondolnak Istenünk parancsolatára. Cselekedjünk a törvény szerint!

Vessünk ugyanis frigyet a mi Istenünkkel, hogy elbocsátjuk mindazon asszonyokat és a tőlük szülötteket az én Uramnak és azoknak akaratja szerint, a kik reszketve [gondolnak] a mi Istenünk parancsolatára, és a törvény szerint cselekedjünk!

Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.

Să facem acum un legământ cu Dumnezeul nostru pentru izgonirea tuturor acestor femei şi a copiilor lor, după părerea domnului meu şi a celor ce se tem de poruncile Dumnezeului nostru. Şi facă-se după Lege.

Therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all these wives and their children, according to the counsel of my lord and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God, and let it be done according to the Law.

Kelj föl, mert rád vár ez a dolog, és mi veled leszünk. Légy erős, és láss hozzá!

Kelj fel! mert reád néz e dolog, s mi veled leszünk: légy erős és láss hozzá!

Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.

Scoală-te, căci treaba aceasta te priveşte. Noi vom fi cu tine. Îmbărbătează-te şi lucrează.”

Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do it.”

Fölkelt tehát Ezsdrás, és megeskette a papok, a léviták és egész Izráel fejedelmeit, hogy e beszéd szerint cselekszenek; azok meg is esküdtek.

Fölkele annakokáért Ezsdrás, és megesketé a papoknak, a Lévitáknak és az egész Izráelnek fejedelmeit, hogy e beszéd szerint fognak cselekedni; és megesküvének.

Then arose Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they sware.

Ezra s-a sculat şi a pus pe căpeteniile preoţilor, leviţilor şi întregului Israel să jure că vor face ce se spusese. Şi ei au jurat.

Then Ezra arose and made the leading priests and Levites and all Israel take an oath that they would do as had been said. So they took the oath.

Akkor fölkelt Ezsdrás Isten háza elől, és elment Jehóhánánnak, Eljásib fiának a kamrájába. Bement, de kenyeret nem evett, és vizet sem ivott, mert gyászolt a rabságból hazatértek vétke miatt.

És fölkele Ezsdrás az Isten háza elől, és elméne Jóhanánnak, Eliásib fiának szobájához s bemenvén abba, kenyeret nem evék, sem vizet nem ivék, mert gyászol vala a rabságból hazajöttek vétke miatt.

Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.

Apoi, Ezra a plecat dinaintea Casei lui Dumnezeu şi s-a dus în odaia lui Iohanan, fiul lui Eliaşib. Când a intrat, n-a mâncat pâine şi n-a băut apă, pentru că era mâhnit din pricina păcatului fiilor robiei.

Then Ezra withdrew from before the house of God and went to the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib, where he spent the night, neither eating bread nor drinking water, for he was mourning over the faithlessness of the exiles.

Majd kihirdették Júdában és Jeruzsálemben mindazoknak, akik a rabságból hazatértek, hogy gyűljenek össze Jeruzsálemben.

És meghirdeték Júdában és Jeruzsálemben mindazoknak, a kik a rabságból hazajöttek, hogy Jeruzsálembe gyűljenek;

And they made proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem unto all the children of the captivity, that they should gather themselves together unto Jerusalem;

S-a dat de veste în Iuda şi la Ierusalim că toţi fiii robiei trebuie să se adune la Ierusalim

And a proclamation was made throughout Judah and Jerusalem to all the returned exiles that they should assemble at Jerusalem,

Ha pedig valaki nem jön el harmadnapra a fejedelmek és a vének határozata szerint, annak minden vagyonát kobozzák el, őt magát pedig zárják ki a rabságból hazatértek közösségéből.

Valaki pedig el nem jön harmadnapra, a fejedelmek és vének tanácsa szerint, adassék minden vagyona a templomnak, és ő maga vettessék ki a rabságból hazajötteknek gyülekezetéből.

And that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.

şi că, după părerea căpeteniilor şi bătrânilor, oricui nu va veni în trei zile, i se vor lua averile, şi el însuşi va fi izgonit din adunarea fiilor robiei.

and that if anyone did not come within three days, by order of the officials and the elders all his property should be forfeited, and he himself banned from the congregation of the exiles.

Összegyűlt azért harmadnapra minden júdai és benjámini férfi Jeruzsálemben a kilencedik hónapban, a hó huszadik napján, és leült az egész nép Isten háza előtt a téren, aggódva e dolog és az esőzések miatt.

Összegyűlének azért Júdának és Benjáminnak minden férfiai harmadnapra Jeruzsálembe a kilenczedik hóban, e hó huszadik napján, és leüle az egész nép az Isten házának piaczán, aggódván e dolog és az esőzések miatt.

Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.

Toţi bărbaţii lui Iuda şi Beniamin s-au strâns la Ierusalim în trei zile. Era a douăzecea zi a lunii a noua. Tot poporul stătea pe locul deschis dinaintea Casei lui Dumnezeu, tremurând din pricina împrejurării aceleia şi de ploaie.

Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin assembled at Jerusalem within the three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month. And all the people sat in the open square before the house of God, trembling because of this matter and because of the heavy rain.

Ekkor fölkelt Ezsdrás pap, és azt mondta nekik: Vétkeztetek, mert idegen asszonyokat vettetek feleségül, és ezzel is szaporítottátok Izráel vétkét.

Ekkor fölkele Ezsdrás, a pap, és monda nékik: Ti vétkeztetek, hogy idegen feleségeket vettetek magatoknak, hogy ezzel is többítenétek Izráel vétkét;

And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.

Preotul Ezra s-a sculat şi le-a zis: „Aţi păcătuit luând femei străine şi aţi făcut pe Israel şi mai vinovat.

And Ezra the priest stood up and said to them, “You have broken faith and married foreign women, and so increased the guilt of Israel.

Ezért tegyetek vallást az ÚR előtt, atyáitok Istene előtt, és cselekedjetek az ő akarata szerint. Különítsétek el magatokat e föld népeitől és az idegen feleségektől.

Annakokáért tegyetek vallást az Úr előtt, atyáitoknak Istene előtt, és cselekedjetek az ő akaratja szerint, elkülönítvén magatokat e föld népeitől és az idegen feleségektől.

Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.

Mărturisiţi-vă acum greşeala înaintea Domnului Dumnezeului părinţilor voştri şi faceţi voia Lui! Despărţiţi-vă de popoarele ţării şi de femeile străine.”

Now then make confession to the LORD, the God of your fathers and do his will. Separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign wives.”

Az egész gyülekezet fennhangon így felelt: Így van. Ahogy mondtad, úgy kell tennünk!

És felele az egész gyülekezet, és monda felszóval: Ekképen, a te beszéded szerint kell minékünk cselekednünk!

Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.

Toată adunarea a răspuns cu glas tare: „Trebuie să facem cum ai zis!

Then all the assembly answered with a loud voice, “It is so; we must do as you have said.

De igen nagy ez a nép, és az esős idő miatt nem maradhatunk itt kint. Egyébként is, ez nem egy- vagy kétnapi teendő, mert sokan vagyunk, akik vétkeztünk ebben a dologban.

De e nép igen sok és az esős idő miatt kivül nem állhatunk; annak felette ez nem egy, sem nem két napi munka, mert sokan vagyunk, a kik vétkeztünk e dologban;

But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.

Dar poporul este în mare număr, vremea este ploioasă, şi nu poate să rămână afară. De altfel, aceasta nu este treabă de o zi sau două, căci sunt mulţi printre noi care au păcătuit în privinţa aceasta.

But the people are many, and it is a time of heavy rain; we cannot stand in the open. Nor is this a task for one day or for two, for we have greatly transgressed in this matter.

Álljanak hát elő az egész gyülekezet vezetői és mindenki, aki idegen feleséget vett magának. Jöjjenek el egy meghatározott időben városonként ők maguk és velük a város vénei és bírái, hogy elfordítsuk magunkról Istenünk súlyos haragját, amely emiatt ért minket!

Hadd álljanak hát elő fejedelmeink, az egész gyülekezeté, és mindenki, a ki idegen feleséget vett magának, városonként jőjjön elő bizonyos időben s velök a városoknak vénei és birái, hogy elfordítsuk magunkról a mi Istenünknek e dolog miatt való búsulásának haragját!

Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.

Să rămână, dar, toate căpeteniile noastre în locul întregii adunări. Şi toţi cei din cetăţile noastre care s-au însurat cu femei străine să vină la timpuri hotărâte, cu bătrânii şi judecătorii din fiecare cetate, până se va abate de la noi mânia aprinsă a Dumnezeului nostru din pricina întâmplării acesteia.”

Let our officials stand for the whole assembly. Let all in our cities who have taken foreign wives come at appointed times, and with them the elders and judges of every city, until the fierce wrath of our God over this matter is turned away from us.”

Csak Jónátán, Aszáél fia és Jahzeá, Tikvá fia állt ennek ellen, akiket Mesullám meg a lévita Sabbetaj támogatott.

Csak Jónathán, az Asáhel fia és Jahzéja, a Tikva fia állának fel ez ellen és Mésullám és Sabbethai, a Léviták támogaták őket.

Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahaziah the son of Tikvah were employed about this matter: and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite helped them.

Ionatan, fiul lui Asael, şi Iahzia, fiul lui Ticva, ajutaţi de Meşulam şi de levitul Şabtai, au fost singurii împotriva acestei păreri

Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahzeiah the son of Tikvah opposed this, and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite supported them.

De a fogságból hazatértek eszerint jártak el. Ezsdrás pap néhány férfit kiválasztott, családfőket a családjaikból, mindnyájukat név szerint. A tizedik hónap első napján ültek össze, hogy kivizsgálják ezt a dolgot,

És cselekedének ekképen azok, a kik a rabságból hazajöttek; és választa magának Ezsdrás, a pap férfiakat, a családfőket, családjuk szerint, s mindnyájok nevei feljegyeztettek. És összeülének a tizedik hó első napján, hogy nyomozzák e dolgot;

And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.

Then the returned exiles did so. Ezra the priest selected men, heads of fathers’ houses, according to their fathers’ houses, each of them designated by name. On the first day of the tenth month they sat down to examine the matter;

és az első hónap első napjáig elintézték minden férfi ügyét, aki idegen asszonyt vett magának feleségül.

És bevégezék azt mindazon férfiakra nézve, a kik idegen feleséget vettek vala magoknak, az első hónak első napjáig.

And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first month.

În ziua întâi a lunii întâi au isprăvit cu toţi bărbaţii care se însuraseră cu femei străine.

and by the first day of the first month they had come to the end of all the men who had married foreign women.

Ezeket találták a papok fiai közül, akik idegen feleséget vettek maguknak: Jésúának, Jócádák fiának és testvéreinek fiai közül: Maaszéjá, Eliezer, Járib és Gedaljá.

Találtatának pedig a papok fiai közül, a kik idegen feleségeket vettek vala magoknak, Jésuának, a Jósádák fiának és az ő testvéreinek fiai közül: Maaséja, Eliézer, Járib és Gedálja;

And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken strange wives: namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.

Între fiii preoţilor s-au găsit unii care se însuraseră cu femei străine: dintre fiii lui Iosua, fiul lui Ioţadac, şi dintre fraţii săi: Maaseia, Eliezer, Iarib şi Ghedalia, care s-au îndatorat

Now there were found some of the sons of the priests who had married foreign women: Maaseiah, Eliezer, Jarib, and Gedaliah, some of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak and his brothers.

Ezek kezet adtak arra, hogy elbocsátják feleségüket, és vétkükért egy kos áldozására ítélték őket.

És kezöket adák, hogy elbocsátják feleségeiket és egy kos áldozására ítéltetének vétkükért;

And they gave their hands that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass.

dând mâna să-şi izgonească nevestele şi să aducă un berbec ca jertfă pentru vină;

They pledged themselves to put away their wives, and their guilt offering was a ram of the flock for their guilt.

Továbbá a léviták közül Józábád, Simei és Kélájá, azaz Kelítá meg Petahjá, Jehúdá és Eliezer.

Also of the Levites; Jozabad, and Shimei, and Kelaiah, (the same is Kelita,) Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.
