Azután ugyanennek a hónapnak a huszonnegyedik napján egybegyűltek Izráel fiai, böjtöltek, gyászba öltöztek, és port hintettek a fejükre.

Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them.

În a douăzeci şi patra zi a aceleiaşi luni, copiii lui Israel s-au adunat, îmbrăcaţi în saci şi presăraţi cu ţărână, pentru ţinerea unui post.

Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the people of Israel were assembled with fasting and in sackcloth, and with earth on their heads.

And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.

And the Israelites separated themselves from all foreigners and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.

Helyükön állva a nap negyedrészén át olvastak az ÚRnak, az ő Istenüknek törvénykönyvéből, negyedrészén át pedig vallást tettek, és leborultak URuk, Istenük előtt.

És megállának helyökön, és olvasának az Úrnak, az ő Istenöknek törvénye könyvéből a nap negyedrésze alatt, negyedrésze alatt pedig vallást tőnek és leborulának az Úr előtt, az ő Istenök előtt.

And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the LORD their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the LORD their God.

După ce au şezut jos, au citit în cartea Legii Domnului Dumnezeului lor a patra parte din zi; şi altă a patra parte din zi şi-au mărturisit păcatele şi s-au închinat înaintea Domnului Dumnezeului lor.

And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the LORD their God for a quarter of the day; for another quarter of it they made confession and worshiped the LORD their God.

Azután fölállt a léviták emelvényére Jésúa, Báni, Kadmiél, Sebanjá, Bunni, Sérébjá, Báni és Kenáni, és hangos szóval kiáltottak az ÚRhoz, Istenükhöz.

És felálla a Léviták emelvényére Jésua, Báni, Kadmiel, Sebánia, Bunni, Serébia, Báni és Kenáni és kiáltának nagy felszóval az Úrhoz, az ő Istenökhöz.

Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto the LORD their God.

Iosua, Bani, Cadmiel, Şebania, Buni, Şerebia, Bani şi Chenani s-au suit pe scaunul leviţilor şi au strigat cu glas tare către Domnul Dumnezeul lor.

On the stairs of the Levites stood Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani; and they cried with a loud voice to the LORD their God.

Ezt mondták a léviták, Jésúa, Kadmiél, Báni, Hasabnejá, Sérébjá, Hódijjá, Sebanjá és Petahjá: Jöjjetek, áldjátok az URat, a ti Isteneteket öröktől fogva mindörökké! Legyen áldott dicsőséges neved, amely magasztosabb minden áldásnál és dicséretnél!

És mondának a Léviták, Jésua, Kadmiel, Báni, Hasabnéja, Serébia, Hódija, Sebánia, Petáhia: Nosza áldjátok az Urat, a ti Isteneteket öröktől fogva mindörökké; és áldják a te dicsőséges nevedet, mely magasabb minden áldásnál és dícséretnél!

Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

Şi leviţii, Iosua, Cadmiel, Bani, Haşabnia, Şerebia, Hodia, Şebania şi Petahia au zis: „Sculaţi-vă şi binecuvântaţi pe Domnul Dumnezeul vostru, din veşnicie în veşnicie! „Binecuvântat să fie Numele Tău cel slăvit, care este mai presus de orice binecuvântare şi de orice laudă!

Then the Levites, Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, “Stand up and bless the LORD your God from everlasting to everlasting. Blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

Egyedül te vagy ÚR! Te teremtetted az eget, az egeknek egeit és minden seregüket, a földet és mindent, ami rajta van, a tengereket és ami bennük van, és te adsz életet mindnyájuknak. Előtted borul le az ég serege.

Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

Tu, Doamne, numai Tu ai făcut cerurile, cerurile cerurilor şi toată oştirea lor, şi pământul cu tot ce este pe el, mările cu tot ce cuprind ele. Tu dai viaţă tuturor acestor lucruri, şi oştirea cerurilor se închină înaintea Ta.

“You are the LORD, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.

Te vagy az ÚR, az Isten, aki kiválasztottad Abrámot és kihoztad Úr-Kaszdimból, és Ábrahámnak nevezted őt.

Te vagy az Úr, az Isten, a ki választottad Ábrámot és kihozád őt a Káldeusoknak Úr [nevű városából], és nevezéd őt Ábrahámnak.

Thou art the LORD the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;

Tu, Doamne Dumnezeule, ai ales pe Avram, l-ai scos din Ur din Haldeea şi i-ai pus numele Avraam.

You are the LORD, the God who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and gave him the name Abraham.

Szívét hozzád hűnek találtad, és szövetséget kötöttél vele, hogy a kánaániak, hettiták, emóriak, perizziek, jebúsziak és girgásiak földjét az ő utódainak adod, és be is teljesítetted ígéreteidet, mert igaz vagy!

És találád az ő szívét hűnek te előtted és szerzél vele szövetséget, hogy adod a Kananeusok, Hitteusok, Emoreusok, Perizeusok, Jebuzeusok, Girgázeusok földét, hogy adod az ő magvának; és megteljesítéd beszédeidet, mert igaz vagy te!

And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:

Tu ai găsit inima lui credincioasă înaintea Ta, ai făcut legământ cu el şi ai făgăduit că vei da seminţei lui ţara canaaniţilor, hetiţilor, amoriţilor, fereziţilor, iebusiţilor şi ghirgasiţilor. Şi Ţi-ai ţinut cuvântul, căci eşti drept.

You found his heart faithful before you, and made with him the covenant to give to his offspring the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite. And you have kept your promise, for you are righteous.

Rátekintettél atyáink nyomorúságára Egyiptomban, és meghallottad kiáltásukat a Vörös-tengernél.

Megtekintéd annakfelette a mi atyáinknak Égyiptomban való nyomorúságát, és az ő kiáltásukat meghallád a Veres tengernél,

And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;

“And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea,

Jeleket és csodákat tettél a fáraó előtt, minden szolgája és földjének egész népe előtt, mert tudtad, hogy kevélyen cselekedtek néped ellen. Nevet szereztél magadnak, és ez ma is így van.

És tevél jeleket és csodákat a Faraón és minden szolgáin és földének egész népén, mert tudtad, hogy kevélyen cselekedtek a te néped ellen; és szerzél magadnak nevet, mint e mai napság [is] van.

And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.

Ai făcut semne şi minuni împotriva lui faraon, împotriva tuturor slujitorilor lui şi împotriva întregului popor din ţara lui, pentru că ştiai cu câtă îngâmfare se purtaseră faţă de părinţii noştri, şi Ţi-ai arătat slava Ta cum se vede astăzi.

and performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land, for you knew that they acted arrogantly against our fathers. And you made a name for yourself, as it is to this day.

Kettéválasztottad előttük a tengert, és szárazon mentek át a tenger közepén, üldözőiket pedig mélységbe hajítottad, mint egy követ a hatalmas vízbe.

És a tengert kétfelé választád ő előttök és szárazon menének át a tenger közepén; üldözőiket pedig mélységbe borítád, mint követ nagy vizekbe.

And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.

Ai despărţit marea înaintea lor, şi au trecut pe uscat prin mijlocul mării: dar ai prăbuşit în adânc, ca o piatră în fundul apelor, pe cei ce-i urmăreau.

And you divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on dry land, and you cast their pursuers into the depths, as a stone into mighty waters.

Felhőoszlopban vezetted őket nappal és tűzoszlopban éjjel, hogy megvilágítsd nekik az utat, amelyen járnak.

És felhőnek oszlopában vezetéd őket nappal s tűznek oszlopában éjjel, hogy megvilágosítsd nékik az utat, melyen menjenek.

Moreover thou leddest them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.

I-ai călăuzit ziua printr-un stâlp de nor, şi noaptea printr-un stâlp de foc care le lumina drumul pe care aveau să-l urmeze.

By a pillar of cloud you led them in the day, and by a pillar of fire in the night to light for them the way in which they should go.

Azután leszálltál a Sínai-hegyre, és beszéltél velük az égből. Helyes végzéseket, igaz törvényeket, jó rendelkezéseket és parancsolatokat adtál nekik.

És a Sinai hegyre leszállál, s szólál velök az égből, s adál nékik helyes végzéseket, igaz törvényeket, jó rendeléseket és parancsolatokat.

Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

Te-ai coborât pe muntele Sinai, le-ai vorbit din înălţimea cerurilor şi le-ai dat porunci drepte, legi adevărate, învăţături şi orânduiri minunate.

You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven and gave them right rules and true laws, good statutes and commandments,

Nyugalmad szent napját is megismertetted velük, és parancsolatokat, rendelkezéseket és törvényt adtál nekik szolgád, Mózes által.

A te szent szombatodat is megjelentéd nékik, és parancsolatokat, rendeléseket és törvényt parancsolál nékik szolgád, Mózes által.

And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:

Le-ai făcut cunoscut Sabatul Tău cel sfânt şi le-ai dat prin robul Tău Moise, porunci, învăţături şi o Lege.

and you made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law by Moses your servant.

Az égből adtál nekik kenyeret, amikor éheztek, és a kősziklából fakasztottál nekik vizet, amikor szomjaztak. Azt mondtad nekik, hogy menjenek be, és vegyék birtokba a földet, melyre nézve fölemelted kezedet, hogy nekik adod.

And gavest them bread from heaven for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.

You gave them bread from heaven for their hunger and brought water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and you told them to go in to possess the land that you had sworn to give them.

But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,

“But they and our fathers acted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey your commandments.

Vonakodtak engedelmeskedni, és nem emlékeztek meg csodatételeidről, amelyeket velük cselekedtél, hanem megkeményítették nyakukat, és makacsságukban arra adták fejüket, hogy visszatérjenek rabságukba. De te bűnbocsátó Isten vagy, könyörülő és irgalmas, hosszútűrő és nagy kegyelmű, ezért nem hagytad el őket.

And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.

They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.

De te nagy irgalmasságodban nem hagytad el őket a pusztában. Nem távozott el előlük a felhőoszlop nappal, hogy vezesse őket az úton, és a tűzoszlop sem éjjel, hogy világítson nekik az úton, amelyen mennek.

Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.

you in your great mercies did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud to lead them in the way did not depart from them by day, nor the pillar of fire by night to light for them the way by which they should go.

Jóságos lelkedet adtad nekik, hogy értelmessé tegye őket. Mannádat sem vontad meg a szájuktól, és vizet adtál nekik szomjúságukban.

Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.

You gave your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst.

Negyven esztendeig tápláltad őket a pusztában, nem szenvedtek hiányt, ruháikat nem nyűtték el, és lábuk sem dagadt meg.

És negyven esztendeig tápláltad őket a pusztában, fogyatkozásuk nem vala, ruháik el nem nyűttenek és lábaik meg nem dagadának.

Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

Patruzeci de ani ai avut grijă să-i hrăneşti în pustiu, şi n-au dus lipsă de nimic, hainele nu li s-au învechit, şi picioarele nu li s-au umflat.

Forty years you sustained them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.

Azután országokat és népeket adtál nekik, és szétosztottad határaikat. Ők pedig elfoglalták Szíhón földjét és Hesbón királyának földjét meg Ógnak, Básán királyának a földjét.

Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.

“And you gave them kingdoms and peoples and allotted to them every corner. So they took possession of the land of Sihon king of Heshbon and the land of Og king of Bashan.

Fiaikat megsokasítottad, mint az ég csillagait, és bevitted őket arra a földre, amelyről azt ígérted atyáiknak, hogy bemennek oda, és birtokolhatják.

Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.

You multiplied their children as the stars of heaven, and you brought them into the land that you had told their fathers to enter and possess.

Be is mentek fiaik, és elfoglalták a földet. Megaláztad előttük a föld lakóit, a kánaániakat, és kezükbe adtad őket királyaikkal együtt, meg a föld népeit is; mindnyájukat, hogy kedvük szerint cselekedjenek velük.

És bemenének a fiak és elfoglalák a földet, és megalázád előttök a földnek lakóit, a Kananeusokat, s kezökbe adád őket, mind királyaikat, mind a föld népeit, hogy cselekedjenek velök kedvök szerint.

So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them as they would.

Şi fiii lor au intrat şi au luat ţara în stăpânire; ai smerit înaintea lor pe locuitorii ţării, canaaniţii, şi i-ai dat în mâinile lor, împreună cu împăraţii şi popoarele ţării, ca să le facă ce le place.

So the descendants went in and possessed the land, and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hand, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they would.

Elfoglalták az erős városokat és a kövér földet, a minden jóval telt házakat, kőbe vágott kutakat, szőlős- és olajfáskerteket meg a sok gyümölcsfát. Ettek és megelégedtek, meghíztak, és gyönyörködtek a te nagy jóvoltodban.

És megvevének erős városokat és kövér földet, s elfoglalának minden jóval teljes házakat, kőből vágott kutakat, szőlős és olajfás kerteket és sok gyümölcsfát, s evének és megelégedének és meghízának, s gyönyörködének a te nagy jóvoltodban.

And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.

Au ajuns stăpâni pe cetăţi întărite şi pe pământuri roditoare; au stăpânit case pline de tot felul de bunătăţi, puţuri săpate, vii, măslini şi pomi roditori din belşug; au mâncat, s-au săturat, s-au îngrăşat şi au trăit în desfătări, prin bunătatea Ta cea mare.

And they captured fortified cities and a rich land, and took possession of houses full of all good things, cisterns already hewn, vineyards, olive orchards and fruit trees in abundance. So they ate and were filled and became fat and delighted themselves in your great goodness.

De engedetlenné váltak, pártot ütöttek ellened, és törvényedet hátuk mögé vetették. Prófétáidat is meggyilkolták, akik bizonyságot tettek ellenük, és hozzád akarták téríteni őket; ilyen nagy gyalázattal illettek téged.

Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.

Totuşi ei s-au răsculat şi s-au răzvrătit împotriva Ta. Au aruncat Legea Ta la spatele lor, au ucis pe prorocii Tăi, care-i rugau fierbinte să se întoarcă la Tine, şi s-au dedat la mari ocări faţă de Tine.

“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you and cast your law behind their back and killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you, and they committed great blasphemies.

Ezért ellenségeik kezébe adtad őket, és azok nyomorgatták őket. De nyomorúságuk idején hozzád kiáltottak, és te meghallgattad őket az égből, és nagy irgalmasságod szerint szabadítókat adtál nekik, akik megszabadították őket sanyargatóik kezéből.

Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.

Atunci i-ai lăsat în mâinile vrăjmaşilor lor, care i-au apăsat. Dar, în vremea necazului lor, au strigat către Tine; şi Tu i-ai auzit de la înălţimea cerurilor şi, în îndurarea Ta cea mare, le-ai dat izbăvitori, care i-au scăpat din mâinile vrăjmaşilor lor.

Therefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. And in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them saviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies.

Amikor azonban megnyugodtak, ismét gonoszt cselekedtek előtted, és te átadtad őket ellenségeik kezébe, akik aztán uralkodtak rajtuk. S mikor ismét hozzád kiáltottak, te meghallgattad őket az égből, és irgalmasságodból sokszor megszabadítottad őket.

És mikor megnyugodtak vala, ismét gonoszt cselekvének előtted, és te átadád őket ellenségeik kezébe, a kik uralkodának rajtok; s midőn ismét hozzád kiáltának, te az égből meghallgatád és megszabadítád őket irgalmasságod szerint sokszor.

But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the land of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;

Când au avut odihnă, au început iarăşi să facă rău înaintea Ta. Atunci i-ai lăsat în mâinile vrăjmaşilor lor, care i-au stăpânit. Dar din nou au strigat către Tine; şi Tu i-ai auzit de la înălţimea cerurilor şi, în marea Ta îndurare, i-ai izbăvit de mai multe ori.

But after they had rest they did evil again before you, and you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies, so that they had dominion over them. Yet when they turned and cried to you, you heard from heaven, and many times you delivered them according to your mercies.

Bizonyságot tettél ellenük, és vissza akartad téríteni őket törvényedhez. De ők fölfuvalkodtak, s nem hallgattak parancsolataidra, és vétkeztek végzéseid ellen, pedig ha valaki megtartja azokat, él általuk. Lázadva hátat fordítottak, megkeményítették nyakukat, és nem engedelmeskedtek.

És bizonyságot tevél ellenök, hogy visszatérítsd őket törvényedhez; de ők felfuvalkodának s nem hallgaták parancsolatidat, és végzéseid ellen vétkezének, melyeket ha valaki megtart, él azok által; és makacskodva hátat fordítának, s nyakukat megkeményíték és nem engedelmeskedének.

And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

I-ai rugat fierbinte să se întoarcă la Legea Ta; dar ei au stăruit în îngâmfarea lor, n-au ascultat de poruncile Tale, au păcătuit împotriva orânduirilor Tale, care fac viu pe cel ce le împlineşte, Ţi-au întors spatele cu îndărătnicie, şi-au înţepenit grumazul şi n-au ascultat.

And you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet they acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments, but sinned against your rules, which if a person does them, he shall live by them, and they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck and would not obey.

Te mégis sok esztendőn át megtartottad fölöttük kegyelmedet, és bizonyságot tettél ellenük lelkeddel prófétáid által, de nem figyeltek. Ezért a föld népeinek kezébe adtad őket.

És mégis meghosszabbítád felettök [kegyelmedet] sok esztendőkön át, s bizonyságot tevél ellenök lelkeddel, prófétáid által, de nem figyelmezének; annakokáért adád őket a föld népeinek kezébe.

Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.

I-ai îngăduit astfel mulţi ani, le-ai dat înştiinţări prin Duhul Tău, prin proroci, şi tot n-au luat aminte. Atunci i-ai dat în mâinile unor popoare străine.

Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

De nagy irgalmasságodból nem semmisítetted meg őket, és el sem hagytad őket, mert könyörülő és irgalmas Isten vagy.

De nagy irgalmasságod szerint meg nem emésztéd őket, sem el nem hagyád őket, mert te könyörülő és irgalmas Isten vagy.

Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.

Dar, în marea Ta îndurare, nu i-ai nimicit şi nu i-ai părăsit, căci Tu eşti un Dumnezeu milostiv şi îndurător.

Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.

Most azért, ó, Istenünk, nagy, erős és félelmetes Isten, aki hűségesen megőrzöd a szövetséget, ne kicsinyeld le mindazt a nyomorúságot, amely utolért minket, királyainkat, fejedelmeinket, papjainkat, prófétáinkat, atyáinkat és egész népedet Asszíria királyainak napjaitól fogva mind e mai napig.

Most annakokáért, oh mi Istenünk, nagy, erős és rettenetes Isten, a ki megőrized a szövetséget és irgalmasságot, ne legyen kicsiny előtted mindaz a nyomorúság, a mely utolért minket, királyainkat, fejedelmeinket, papjainkat, prófétáinkat, atyáinkat és egész népedet, Assiria királyainak napjaitól fogva mind e mai napig.

Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

Şi acum, Dumnezeul nostru, Dumnezeule mare, puternic şi înfricoşat, Tu care Îţi ţii legământul Tău de îndurare, nu privi ca puţin lucru toate suferinţele prin care am trecut noi, împăraţii noştri, căpeteniile noastre, preoţii noştri, prorocii noştri, părinţii noştri şi tot poporul Tău, din vremea împăraţilor Asiriei până în ziua de azi.

“Now, therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us, upon our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our fathers, and all your people, since the time of the kings of Assyria until this day.

Hiszen te igaz vagy mindazok ellenére, amik bennünket értek. Mert te igazságosan bántál velünk, mi pedig hazugságot cselekedtünk.

Hiszen te igaz vagy mindenekben, valamelyek reánk jövének; mert te igazságot műveltél, mi pedig hamisságot cselekvénk!

Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly:

Tu ai fost drept în tot ce ni s-a întâmplat, căci Te-ai arătat credincios, iar noi am făcut rău.

Yet you have been righteous in all that has come upon us, for you have dealt faithfully and we have acted wickedly.

Hiszen királyaink, fejedelmeink, papjaink és atyáink nem cselekedték törvényedet, és nem figyeltek parancsaidra és intelmeidre, amelyek által bizonyságot tettél ellenük.

Hiszen a mi királyaink, fejedelmeink, papjaink és atyáink nem cselekedték törvényedet és nem figyelmeztek parancsolataidra és bizonyságtételeidre, melyek által bizonyságot tettél ő ellenök;

Neither have our kings, our princes, our priests, nor our fathers, kept thy law, nor hearkened unto thy commandments and thy testimonies, wherewith thou didst testify against them.

Împăraţii noştri, căpeteniile noastre, preoţii noştri şi părinţii noştri n-au păzit Legea şi n-au dat ascultare nici poruncilor, nici înştiinţărilor pe care li le dădeai.

Our kings, our princes, our priests, and our fathers have not kept your law or paid attention to your commandments and your warnings that you gave them.

Országukban, ahol nagy jóvoltoddal megáldottad őket, és a széles és kövér földön, amelyet nekik adtál, nem akartak szolgálni téged, és nem tértek meg gonosz cselekedeteikből.

És ők az ő országokban s a te nagy jóvoltodban, melylyel megáldád őket, s a széles és kövér földön, melyet nékik adál, nem akartak szolgáid lenni; és nem tértek meg gonosz cselekedeteikből.

For they have not served thee in their kingdom, and in thy great goodness that thou gavest them, and in the large and fat land which thou gavest before them, neither turned they from their wicked works.

Când erau stăpâni, în mijlocul multelor binefaceri pe care li le dădeai, în ţara întinsă şi roditoare pe care le-o dăduseşi, nu Ţi-au slujit şi nu s-au abătut de la faptele lor rele.

Even in their own kingdom, and amid your great goodness that you gave them, and in the large and rich land that you set before them, they did not serve you or turn from their wicked works.

Íme, mi most szolgák vagyunk azon a földön, amelyet atyáinknak adtál, hogy élvezzék gyümölcsét és javait, íme, szolgák vagyunk azon.

És ímé mi most szolgák vagyunk azon a földön, melyet a mi atyáinknak adál, hogy ennék annak gyümölcsét és javát, ímé mi szolgák vagyunk azon;

Behold, we are servants this day, and for the land that thou gavest unto our fathers to eat the fruit thereof and the good thereof, behold, we are servants in it:

Şi astăzi, iată-ne robi! Iată-ne robi pe pământul pe care l-ai dat părinţilor noştri pentru ca să se bucure de roadele şi de bunurile lui!

Behold, we are slaves this day; in the land that you gave to our fathers to enjoy its fruit and its good gifts, behold, we are slaves.

Termését bőven hozza azoknak a királyoknak, akiket fölénk helyeztél bűneink miatt, és kedvük szerint bánnak velünk és állatainkkal, mi pedig nagy nyomorúságban vagyunk!

És termését bőven hozza a királyoknak, a kiket fölibünk helyezél a mi bűneinkért, s testeinken uralkodnak és barmainkon az ő kedvök szerint; és mi nagy nyomorúságban vagyunk!

And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.

El îşi înmulţeşte roadele pentru împăraţii cărora ne-ai supus din pricina păcatelor noastre; ei stăpânesc după plac asupra trupurilor noastre şi asupra vitelor noastre, şi suntem într-o mare strâmtorare!”

And its rich yield goes to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please, and we are in great distress.

Mindezek alapján írásbeli szerződést kötünk, amelyet megpecsételnek fejedelmeink, lévitáink és papjaink.

És mindemellett mi erős kötést szerzénk és azt aláírtuk, melyet megpecsételének a mi fejedelmeink, Lévitáink és papjaink.

And because of all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, Levites, and priests, seal unto it.

Pentru toate acestea, noi am încheiat un legământ, pe care l-am făcut în scris. Şi căpeteniile noastre, leviţii noştri şi preoţii noştri şi-au pus pecetea pe el.

“Because of all this we make a firm covenant in writing; on the sealed document are the names of our princes, our Levites, and our priests.
