Azon a napon fölolvastak Mózes könyvéből a nép füle hallatára, és azt találták benne megírva, hogy egy ammóni vagy móábi sem léphet be soha Isten gyülekezetébe,

Azon a napon olvasának a Mózes könyvéből a népnek hallatára és írva találák benne, hogy Ammón és Moáb soha be ne menjen az Isten gyülekezetébe,

On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;

În vremea aceea, s-a citit în faţa poporului în cartea lui Moise şi s-a găsit scris că amonitul şi moabitul nu trebuiau să intre niciodată în adunarea lui Dumnezeu,

On that day they read from the Book of Moses in the hearing of the people. And in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God,

mivel nem mentek Izráel fiai elé kenyérrel és vízzel, sőt fölbérelték ellenük Bálámot, hogy megátkozza őket; de Istenünk áldásra fordította az átkot.

Mivelhogy nem mentek vala eleikbe Izráel fiainak kenyérrel és vízzel, sőt bérbe fogadták ellenök Bálámot, hogy őket megátkozná, de a mi Istenünk az átkot áldásra fordítá.

Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.

pentru că nu veniseră înaintea copiilor lui Israel cu pâine şi apă şi pentru că tocmiseră împotriva lor cu preţ de argint pe Balaam ca să-i blesteme. Dar Dumnezeul nostru a prefăcut blestemul în binecuvântare.

for they did not meet the people of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them—yet our God turned the curse into a blessing.

Amikor meghallották ezt a törvényt, kizártak Izráel közül minden keverék népet.

És lőn, hogy mikor hallották e törvényt, kirekesztének Izráel közül minden elegy-belegy népet.

Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

Când au auzit Legea, au deosebit din Israel pe toţi străinii.

As soon as the people heard the law, they separated from Israel all those of foreign descent.

Ennek előtte Eljásib pap, aki Istenünk háza kamráinak a felügyelője volt, rokonságba került Tóbijjával,

Ennekelőtte pedig Eliásib, a pap, ki Istenünk házának kamarái fölé rendelteték, rokonságba jutott Tóbiással;

And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:

Înainte de aceasta, preotul Eliaşib, care era pus peste cămările Casei Dumnezeului nostru şi rudă cu Tobia,

Now before this, Eliashib the priest, who was appointed over the chambers of the house of our God, and who was related to Tobiah,

és átengedett neki egy nagy kamrát – noha abban azelőtt az ételáldozatot, a tömjént, az edényeket helyezték el –, valamint az olajnak, mustnak és gabonának a tizedét – amely a kapuőröknek, az énekeseknek és a lévitáknak törvény szerinti részük – és a papok ajándékát.

És átengedett néki egy nagy kamarát, holott abban annakelőtte az ételáldozatot, a tömjént, az edényeket és az olajnak, mustnak és gabonának tizedét, mint a kapunállóknak, énekeseknek és Lévitáknak törvény szerint való részét és a papoknak ajándékát helyeztetik vala el.

And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.

pregătise pentru el o cămară mare, unde puneau mai înainte darurile de mâncare, tămâia, uneltele, zeciuiala din grâu, din must şi din untdelemn, părţile rânduite pentru leviţi, cântăreţi şi uşieri şi darurile ridicate pentru preoţi.

prepared for Tobiah a large chamber where they had previously put the grain offering, the frankincense, the vessels, and the tithes of grain, wine, and oil, which were given by commandment to the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers, and the contributions for the priests.

Amikor mindez történt, nem voltam Jeruzsálemben, mert Artahsasztá babilóniai király harminckettedik esztendejében visszamentem a királyhoz. Bizonyos idő múltán újra szabadságot kértem a királytól.

Mind ennek történtekor én nem valék Jeruzsálemben, mert Artaxerxes babilóniai királynak harminczkettedik esztendejében visszamentem vala a királyhoz, s napok múltán [újra szabadságot] kértem a királytól.

But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:

Eu nu eram la Ierusalim când s-au petrecut toate acestea, căci mă întorsesem la împărat în al treizeci şi doilea an al lui Artaxerxe, împăratul Babilonului. La sfârşitul anului am căpătat de la împărat învoire

While this was taking place, I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I went to the king. And after some time I asked leave of the king

Visszatértem Jeruzsálembe, és akkor megtudtam azt a gonosz dolgot, amelyet Eljásib cselekedett Tóbijjáért, hogy átengedett neki egy kamrát az Isten házának udvarában.

És visszatérék Jeruzsálembe, és megértém e gonoszt, melyet Eliásib cselekedett vala Tóbiásért, hogy átengedett néki egy kamarát az Isten házának pitvaraiban.

And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

să mă întorc la Ierusalim, şi am văzut răul pe care-l făcuse Eliaşib, pregătind o cămară pentru Tobia în curţile Casei lui Dumnezeu.

and came to Jerusalem, and I then discovered the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, preparing for him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

Ezt igen rossznak tartottam, ezért kidobattam abból a kamrából Tóbijjá házának minden edényét.

Igen gonosznak tetszék pedig ez nékem s kivettetém Tóbiás házának minden edényeit abból a kamarából;

And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff to Tobiah out of the chamber.

Mi-a părut foarte rău şi am aruncat afară din cămară toate lucrurile lui Tobia.

And I was very angry, and I threw all the household furniture of Tobiah out of the chamber.

Parancsomra megtisztították a kamrákat, és visszahordattam azokba Isten házának az edényeit, az ételáldozatot és a tömjént.

És parancsolatomra megtisztíták a kamarákat, és visszahordatám azokba Isten házának edényeit, az ételáldozatot és a tömjént.

Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense.

Apoi am poruncit să se cureţe odăile şi am pus iarăşi în ele uneltele Casei lui Dumnezeu, darurile de mâncare şi tămâia.

Then I gave orders, and they cleansed the chambers, and I brought back there the vessels of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense.

Megtudtam azt is, hogy nem adták meg a léviták járandóságát, ezért az Isten házában szolgáló léviták és énekesek szétszéledtek, mindegyik a maga mezejére.

Megtudtam azt is, hogy a Léviták részeit nem adták meg; ennek miatta kiki az ő mezejére szélede el az Isten házában szolgáló Léviták és énekesek közül.

And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.

Am auzit de asemenea că părţile leviţilor nu li se dăduseră şi că leviţii şi cântăreţii însărcinaţi cu slujba fugiseră fiecare în ţinutul lui.

I also found out that the portions of the Levites had not been given to them, so that the Levites and the singers, who did the work, had fled each to his field.

Megróttam a fejedelmeket, és azt mondtam: Miért ilyen elhagyatott az Isten háza? Majd összegyűjtöttem a lévitákat, és a helyükre állítottam őket.

És megfeddém a fejedelmeket, és mondék: Miért hagyatott el az Isten háza? És egybegyűjtvén a [Lévitákat,] helyökre állítám őket;

Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.

Am mustrat pe dregători şi am zis: „Pentru ce a fost părăsită Casa lui Dumnezeu?” Şi am strâns pe leviţi şi pe cântăreţi, şi i-am pus iarăşi în slujba lor.

So I confronted the officials and said, “Why is the house of God forsaken?” And I gathered them together and set them in their stations.

Az egész Júda pedig behozta az olaj, a must és a gabona tizedét a tárházakba.

Az egész Júda pedig meghozá az olajnak, a mustnak és a gabonának tizedét a tárházakba.

Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.

Atunci tot Iuda a adus în cămări zeciuiala din grâu, din must şi din untdelemn.

Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain, wine, and oil into the storehouses.

A tárházak fölé felügyelőül rendeltem Selemjá papot, Cádók írástudót és Pedáját a léviták közül, melléjük pedig Hánánt, aki Zakkúr fia, aki pedig Mattanjá fia volt, mivel hűségesnek tartották őket. Az ő feladatuk volt, hogy kiosszák testvéreik járandóságát.

És felügyelőkké rendelém a tárházak fölé Selemiát, a papot, Sádókot, az írástudót és Pedáját a Léviták közül, és melléjök Hanánt, ki Zakkur fia, ki Mattánia fia vala, mivelhogy híveknek ítéltettek volt és az ő tisztök vala kiosztani atyjokfiainak [részét.]

And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.

Am dat cămările în grija preotului Şelemia, cărturarului Ţadoc şi lui Pedaia, unul din leviţi, şi le-am adăugat şi pe Hanan, fiul lui Zacur, fiul lui Matania, căci le mergea numele că sunt credincioşi. Ei au fost însărcinaţi să facă împărţirile cuvenite fraţilor lor.

And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouses Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and Pedaiah of the Levites, and as their assistant Hanan the son of Zaccur, son of Mattaniah, for they were considered reliable, and their duty was to distribute to their brothers.

Emlékezzél meg rólam ezért, Istenem, és ne engedd, hogy kitöröljék könyvedből jótetteimet, amelyeket Istenem házáért és rendtartásáért tettem!

Emlékezzél meg én rólam én Istenem ezért, és ne engedd, hogy eltöröltessenek az én jótéteményeim, melyeket cselekedtem vala az én Istenem házával és rendtartásaival!

Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

Adu-Ţi aminte de mine, Dumnezeule, pentru aceste lucruri şi nu uita faptele mele evlavioase făcute pentru Casa Dumnezeului meu şi pentru lucrurile care trebuie păzite în ea!

Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.

Ezekben a napokban azt láttam Júdában, hogy sajtót taposnak a nyugalom napján, és a szamarakra terhet raknak, sőt gabonát, bort, szőlőt és olajat és mindenféle terhet hordanak be Jeruzsálembe szombatnapon. Ezért figyelmeztettem őket még aznap, amikor az eleséget árulták.

Azon napokban láttam Júdában, hogy sajtót taposnak szombaton és gabonát hoznak be, szamarakra rakván, sőt bort, szőlőt és olajat is és mindenféle terhet behoznak Jeruzsálembe szombat napon, és bizonyságot tevék [ellenök,] a mely napon eleséget árulnak vala.

In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.

Pe vremea aceasta am văzut în Iuda nişte oameni călcând la teasc în ziua Sabatului, aducând snopi, încărcând măgarii cu vin, struguri şi smochine, şi cu tot felul de lucruri şi aducându-le la Ierusalim în ziua Sabatului. Şi i-am mustrat chiar în ziua când îşi vindeau mărfurile.

In those days I saw in Judah people treading winepresses on the Sabbath, and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys, and also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of loads, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I warned them on the day when they sold food.

Tírusziak is laktak a városban, akik halat és mindenféle árut hoztak be és árusítottak szombatnapon Júda fiainak Jeruzsálemben.

Tírusiak is lakozának [a város]ban, a kik hoznak vala halat és mindenféle árút, melyeket eladnak vala szombat napon Júda fiainak Jeruzsálemben.

There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

Mai erau şi nişte tirieni, aşezaţi în Ierusalim, care aduceau peşte şi tot felul de mărfuri şi le vindeau fiilor lui Iuda în ziua Sabatului şi în Ierusalim.

Tyrians also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of goods and sold them on the Sabbath to the people of Judah, in Jerusalem itself!

Ezért megróttam Júda elöljáróit, és ezt mondtam nekik: Micsoda gonoszságot műveltek, hogy így megszentségtelenítitek a szombatnapot?

Annakokáért megfeddém Júda előljáróit, és mondám nékik: Micsoda gonosz dolog ez, a mit ti cselekesztek, hogy megfertőztetitek a szombatnak napját?

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

Am mustrat pe mai marii lui Iuda şi le-am zis: „Ce înseamnă această faptă rea pe care o faceţi, pângărind ziua Sabatului?

Then I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them, “What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day?

Hát nem így cselekedtek-e atyáitok? Istenünk ezért hozta ránk és e városra mindezt a sok bajt! És ti mégis növelitek Isten haragját Izráel fölött, mert megszentségtelenítitek a szombatot!

Avagy nem így cselekedtek-é a ti atyáitok, s a mi Istenünk reánk hozá mindezen gonoszt és e városra?! És ti mégis növelitek [Isten ]haragját Izráel fölött, megfertőztetvén a szombatot!

Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

Oare n-au lucrat aşa părinţii voştri, şi nu din pricina aceasta a trimis Dumnezeul nostru toate aceste nenorociri peste noi şi peste cetatea aceasta? Şi voi aduceţi din nou mânia Lui împotriva lui Israel, pângărind Sabatul!”

Did not your fathers act in this way, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Now you are bringing more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

Ezért amikor árnyék borult Jeruzsálem kapuira a nyugalom napja előtt, parancsomra bezárták az ajtókat, és meghagytam nekik, hogy ne nyissák ki azokat a szombat végéig. Sőt néhány emberemet a kapukhoz rendeltem, és ezt mondtam: Nem hozhatnak be semmiféle terhet a nyugalom napján!

Lőn annakokáért, hogy midőn megárnyékosodtak Jeruzsálem kapui a szombat előtt, parancsolatomra bezáratának az ajtók, s megparancsolám, hogy meg ne nyissák azokat szombat utánig, annakfelette legényeim közül a kapukhoz rendelék, [mondván:] Nem fog bejőni teher a szombatnak napján!

And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.

Apoi am poruncit să se închidă porţile Ierusalimului înainte de Sabat, de îndată ce le va ajunge umbra, şi să nu se deschidă decât după Sabat. Şi am pus câţiva din slujitorii mei la porţi să oprească intrarea sarcinilor de mărfuri în ziua Sabatului.

As soon as it began to grow dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the Sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, that no load might be brought in on the Sabbath day.

Ezért a kereskedők és a különböző áruk árusai egyszer-kétszer Jeruzsálemen kívül háltak.

Annakokáért a kereskedők és minden árúk árúsai kivül hálának Jeruzsálemen egyszer vagy kétszer;

So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.

Şi aşa negustorii şi vânzătorii de tot felul de lucruri au petrecut noaptea o dată şi de două ori afară din Ierusalim.

Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice.

Figyelmeztettem őket, és így szóltam hozzájuk: Miért háltok e várfal előtt? Ha ezt megismétlitek, rátok teszem a kezemet! Attól fogva nem jöttek a nyugalom napján.

És bizonyságot tevék ellenök, és mondám nékik: Miért háltok ti e kőfal előtt? Ha ezt ismételitek, kezet vetek reátok! Az időtől fogva nem jöttenek szombaton.

Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.

I-am mustrat şi le-am zis: „Pentru ce staţi noaptea înaintea zidului? Dacă veţi mai face încă o dată lucrul acesta, voi pune mâna pe voi.” Din clipa aceea, n-au mai venit în timpul Sabatului.

But I warned them and said to them, “Why do you lodge outside the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on they did not come on the Sabbath.

Megparancsoltam a lévitáknak, hogy tisztítsák meg magukat, menjenek, és őrizzék a kapukat, hogy megszenteljék a szombatot. Ezért is emlékezzél meg rólam, Istenem, és kedvezz nekem nagy kegyelmeddel!

És megparancsolám a Lévitáknak, hogy magokat megtisztítsák, s hogy menjenek el és őrizzék a kapukat, hogy megszenteljék a szombatot. Ezért is emlékezzél meg rólam én Istenem és kedvezz nékem, kegyelmességednek nagy volta szerint!

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.

Am poruncit şi leviţilor să se cureţe şi să vină să păzească porţile, ca să sfinţească ziua Sabatului. Adu-Ţi aminte de mine, Dumnezeule, şi pentru aceste lucruri şi ocroteşte-mă după marea Ta îndurare!

Then I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.

Azokban a napokban meglátogattam azokat a zsidókat, akik asdódi, ammóni és móábi asszonyokat vettek feleségül,

Ugyanazon napokban meglátogatám azokat a zsidókat, kik asdódi, Ammonita és Moábita asszonyokat vettek feleségül.

In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:

Tot pe vremea aceea, am văzut pe nişte iudei, care îşi luaseră neveste asdodiene, amonite şi moabite.

In those days also I saw the Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab.

és fiaik fele asdódi nyelven beszélt, és nem tudtak héberül, hanem csak valamelyik másik nép nyelvén.

És fiaik felerésze asdódi nyelven beszél vala, és nem tudnak vala beszélni zsidóul, hanem egyik vagy másik nép nyelvén.

And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.

Jumătate din fiii lor vorbeau limba asdodiană şi nu ştiau să vorbească limba evreiască; nu cunoşteau decât limba cutărui sau cutărui popor.

And half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod, and they could not speak the language of Judah, but only the language of each people.

Ezért megszidtam és megátkoztam őket. Megvertem közülük néhányat, megtépáztam őket, majd megeskettem őket Istenre: Ne adjátok leányaitokat az ő fiaiknak, és ne vegyetek feleséget fiaitoknak és magatoknak sem az ő leányaik közül.

Annakokáért feddődém velök, és megátkozám őket, és megverék közülök néhányat, és megtépém őket, és megesketém őket Istenre: Bizony ne adjátok leányaitokat az ő fiaiknak, és ne vegyetek leányaik közül feleséget fiaitoknak és magatoknak.

And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.

I-am mustrat şi i-am blestemat; am lovit pe unii din ei, le-am smuls părul şi i-am pus să jure în Numele lui Dumnezeu, zicând: „Să nu vă daţi fetele după fiii lor şi să nu luaţi fetele lor de neveste nici pentru fiii voştri, nici pentru voi.

And I confronted them and cursed them and beat some of them and pulled out their hair. And I made them take an oath in the name of God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters to their sons, or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves.

Hát nem ebben vétkezett-e Salamon, Izráel királya? Noha sok népnek nem volt hozzá hasonló királya, akit így szeretett az ő Istene, és királlyá tette őt Isten egész Izráel fölött, őt is bűnre vitték az idegen asszonyok.

Avagy nem ebben vétkezett-é Salamon Izráel királya? Noha nem volt sok nép között hozzá hasonlatos király, a kit szeret vala az ő Istene és királylyá tette vala őt Isten egész Izráel fölött; őt is bűnre vivék az idegen asszonyok:

Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.

Oare nu în aceasta a păcătuit Solomon, împăratul lui Israel? Nu era alt împărat ca el în mulţimea popoarelor; el era iubit de Dumnezeul lui, şi Dumnezeu îl pusese împărat peste tot Israelul. Totuşi femeile străine l-au târât şi pe el în păcat.

Did not Solomon king of Israel sin on account of such women? Among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless, foreign women made even him to sin.

Most rólatok is azt kell hallani, hogy elkövetitek mindezt a nagy gonoszságot, és vétkeztek Istenünk ellen, mert idegen asszonyokat vesztek feleségül?!

És néktek engedjünk-é, hogy cselekedjétek mindezen nagy gonoszságot, vétkezzetek Istenünk ellen, idegen asszonyokat vévén feleségül?

Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?

Şi acum trebuie să auzim despre voi că săvârşiţi o nelegiuire atât de mare şi că păcătuiţi împotriva Dumnezeului nostru luând neveste străine?”

Shall we then listen to you and do all this great evil and act treacherously against our God by marrying foreign women?”

Eljásib főpap fiának, Jójádának az egyik fia a hóróni Szanballat veje volt, ezért elűztem magamtól.

Jójadának (ki Eliásib főpapnak fia vala) fiai közül is egy veje vala a Horonitbeli Szanballatnak, elűzém azért őt tőlem.

And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me.

Unul din fiii lui Ioiada, fiul marelui preot, Eliaşib, era ginerele lui Sanbalat, horonitul. L-am izgonit de la mine.

And one of the sons of Jehoiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was the son-in-law of Sanballat the Horonite. Therefore I chased him from me.

Tartsd számon őket, Istenem, mert beszennyezték a papságot és a lévita papság szövetségét.

Emlékezzél meg ő rólok én Istenem, a papságnak és a papság szövetségének és a Lévitáknak ilyen megfertőztetéséért!
